Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kureji had since parted ways with the caravan of traders. They had other matters to attend to but he wanted to go to Sand. His stay in Sand was only for two things. To talk to his father, and to get paid doing some work. He often founded traveling by night was easier for him, mainly because of the desert heat always being a thing he has to deal with, especially since he wears black armor. During the day he usually finds a cave to crash out at until it starts to cool down. But tonight is a new moon, meaning, the best light he is going to get is from the stars in the sky, which really won't mount to much visibility. Suits him fine, he'll just drive himself crazy by putting himself under a genjutsu to improve his eyesight.

He would chuckle to himself as he wandered through the desert. He figured the Village should be pretty easy to spot, being ya know, a whole city, but nothing so far??? "Did I take a wrong turn at that cactus? Been a while since I've been here but how does a whole Village disappear?" When he first went missing, the Village itself has been on the surface for a time, and he never really paid that much attention to Sand's history to know much about certain safeguards that the Village has, say to submerge the whole village into the desert and to pop back up whenever. He continued walking until he walked right into something metalic face first. "Ow! Who would put..." The genjutsu helped Kureji's vision adjust, "A giant dome thing in the middle of a desert? Seems like a trip hazard"

As the metallic clang of an outsider rang through the patrol's front gate the doors would open automatically. Standing in the breezeway to the village's entrance was a young woman wearing a black suit. Taking a drag off of her cigarette she blew the smoke off to the side.

"Kureji? "

My red homunculus eyes locked onto his form. If Kureji remembered his most recent encounter with my brother these red eyes of mine would be oh so familiar. I—at the time—possessed Shin's body and spoke through him, threatening the rogue Shinobi. He definitely deserved it after picking on some of my—err i mean Shin's—students.

"You know, there really ought to be a bounty on your pathetic head. Where's that singing bitch at?"

My eyes narrowed as my blade began to apparate on my hip. I didn't reach for it but I kept myself at the ready. I looked over Kureji's shoulders to see if he was followed.

The grinding of metal, even on the soft sand can be heard as doors opened and a woman who seemed vaguely familiar to the Rocker. He cocked his head to the side as she spoke, trying to remember where he had seen her and making sense of what she was saying. "First off, that's rude. Secondly, I don't micromanage my bandmates lives, what they do on their time is their business. And lastly. How do you know my name?" For his life, he can't remember who this person is.

"Unless.... The only logical explanation is that you're a Genjutsu!" He exclaimed and snapped his fingers in an aha moment. "That vague sense of a familiar face. You know my name. And you look too perfect and too beautiful to be real." That last part, whilst was a compliment, wasn't like Kureji was flirting, no. Instead, it more sounded like he was making a statement more than anything.

He turned and looked at the dome. "Now the real kicker is why would someone make me see a big dome thing in the middle of the desert? Maybe they're hiding some tomb with treasure. Though if I were to take a guess, there's going to be traps, maybe zombies, and a curse." He looked over at Kohana, "And believe me, curses are no joke. I never dealt with one, but I once knew this one guy, cursed to never drink water again. Said that if he does, he'll just end up with a mouth full of sand. I think he might be full of it though.

I raised my brow as the man before me rambled on. It seemed as though this body was new to him. I've met hom twice before, or I guess.. Shin had.

My red eyes softened some. He was a harmless idiot after all. Raising my hand to my chest and landing my thumb firm I would announce, "The name is Kohana, of the Chikamatsu Clan. Member of the Inner Circle, and sister to Lord Twelth. "

A soft grin stretched across my face, I suppose you could call it a smug look of an entitled, but I digress.

"I know your name and occupation, unless you quit the music scene already in favour of something more profitable. "

I raised my hand chuckled like a tsundere princess as my extended fingers barely covered my mouth. I turned towards the dome halfway before slamming my hand on it.

"You have found yourself face to face with the newly renovated entrance to the one Sunagakure no Sato! We have ditched the surface life and have returned to our roots in this era of chaos. "

I paused for a moment.

"But, none of that concerns an outsider like you. Hell, we've been through countless battles whole you've collected petty change for chicken shit gigs. "

I stepped towards him, sly grin and an eyebrow raised slightly.

"So tell me, Kureji, why have you returned? Especially now with everything going on in the Land of Wind? Not looking to try and take advantage of the situation now are we? "

"So you didn't deny that this is all a genjutsu huh?" Kureji noted. "That's a really long name. I think I'll just call you Kohana. Wayyyy shorter." He would look up at the starry sky, not seeing much constellations, then again, he doesn't really know what constellations to even look for.

"I'll never give up on rock and roll. It is, in the most basic sense, freedom in the form of music. I am a part time mercenary whenever I'm low on yen." He looked around when she said chaos. Nothing really has changed with the exception of this dome thing here. "It's a pretty quiet chaos. But hey, to each their own I guess."

Then came the question why he was here. "Kohana, was it? I just returned so I don't know really what's going on here. Chaos era or what. I can't take advantage of something that I do not know anything about. What I am here for is to talk with my old man and possibly get some yen doing some work around here. Maybe even some high risk missions. Oh I do love the rush that comes with doing such missions that sense of entering a battlefield."

I let out an exasperated sigh, my cigarette dangling between my fingers as smoke curled around my face. This man was either incredibly dense or playing some elaborate game of ignorance.

"Your old man?" I repeated, my red eyes narrowing with curiosity and a hint of amusement. "And just who might that be? Because if you're looking for family in Sunagakure, that makes this conversation a lot more interesting."

I took another drag of my cigarette, studying his face carefully. The fact that he kept insisting this was all genjutsu was almost... endearing in its stupidity. But his mention of high-risk missions and that gleam in his eyes when he talked about battlefields - that caught my attention.

"You know what, Kureji?" I said, flicking ash into the sand. "I'm going to do you a favor and pretend you're not completely clueless about the political shitstorm brewing in our lands. But if you want to see daddy dearest and pick up some work..."

I gestured toward the dome with my free hand, a wicked grin spreading across my face.

"You're going to have to come inside our little 'genjutsu' and play by our rules. Fair warning though - things have changed since you've been gone. The village doesn't exactly roll out the welcome mat for wandering rogues anymore, family connections or not."

I paused, tilting my head slightly as I watched his reaction.

"So what's it going to be, rock star? You going to keep standing out here talking to a 'hallucination,' or are you actually going to step up and handle whatever family business brought you crawling back?"

[Entrance Approved, welcome home!]

"Akkuma." Kureji would say casually. To many people, to just say the demon's name so casually would be to bring misfortune upon yourself. Kureji, being the man's son, along with their shaky relationship, doesn't really care much about it.

But despite him truly not knowing a thing about why Sand is in a dome thing now, Kohana still thinks that he knows something about the going ons in Sand, with this 'political shitstorm' as she put it. "I'm not crawling. I'm walking." He said plainly, not really catching on to Kohana's choice of words. "But sure."

With that said, he would walk in.
