Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Yuna was leaning back on the teacher's desk as she would wait for the students to pile in. She was in her normal ninja gear, non Anbu attire. She wore black armor with a red flowing cape. The armor fit perfectly so that she still has perfect mobility in such a case that a fight were to break out. To anyone not of Sennin rank or higher or part of her branch, they would only know Yuna as the head of the Chigokai Clan and of jounin rank.

Before her was a table that had several different vials with different stoppers that held different types of poisons. Of course there were also vials that contained antidotes that would be able to quickly counteract against the poisons. For the gas type of poisons, they were in pressurized containers.

This is one of the more advanced lessons that are to be offered to only students and Genin that understand the risks. These types of things can put just about anyone out of combat, even Sennin ranking ninja. In a controlled environment such as this should be no problem as long as the students follow her exact instructions. But even so, all these types of poisons are only designed to stay in the system for so long, at the most thirty seconds. Yuna would wait, staring at the door while she leaned back on the teachers desk for the students to come in.

Class 1, Poisons and You.

Hibana was anxious. She had spent the last few days practicing her shuriken throwing, molding chakra, and weaving hand seals, so when she'd seen that her first assignment was related to poisons, her anxiety multiplied into a pit of coal that sat firmly within her chest. It was her first official official day of academy training and a pained "be safe was all Hibana would receive from her father as she rushed out the door that morning.

Hibana was prompt. Hering the mantra accidents happen so much during her childhood had instilled in her a sense of caution, and a byproduct of that caution was a knack for being punctual. That was to say, she was of the first to arrive to her class.

Long, unruly white hair, tied back into an equally unruly white pony tail accompanied the tan skin of the young woman as she stepped brazenly through the classroom threshold. Confidence in appearance only, Hibana eyed her new sensei, clad in black armor and a red cape, Hibana's anxiety reached a new peak as she continued to make her way into the classroom.

It was only natural to introduce yourself in a situation like this right? Hibana had never been in a situation like this before, but almost instinctively, she took a breath and in that instant became cold as ice. Her nerves quieted, and the beating in her heart seemed to come to a stand still.

It was only for a moment, and as it passed, the silence of the room was broken by the small cracked voice of the fresh academy student.

Bakuen Hibana, reporting.

Yuna heard the blood flow of someone coming. She looked to the door as a small child would walk through and announce who they are. Bakuen Hibana. Anytime that Yuna finds herself in the Academy to teach, she takes the time to read through the names of all the students to get an idea of how to go about her teachings. Bakuen Hibana was a newer student with very little on her records. Yuna had wondered if she has what it takes to do this class. Even for well seasoned ninja, poison can break a person down.

"My name is Chigokai Yuna." She would start, "This class will be all about poisons." Yuna would gesture to the vials on the table. "Poisons are a tool that people tend to forget that exist sometimes. Because of this, their effectiveness is always true. There are a number of poisons that can cause different deliberating effects that can fit how you want to battle. With that said, there are two different types. Injury and inhaled. If you want to go into further detailed, instant and lingering. But before we go further into that, let's talk about injury and inhaled."

She walked over to the table and picked up a vial. A thin nearly black liquid sloshed around. "This is Serpent's blood." She would set it down and then move over to a pressurized canister, there were no signs to tell what was in it for the exception of a label. "Tear gas." She would set it down. "I would like you to tell me what both of these poisons do and how would you apply their usage in battle."

His teacher wasted no time with beginning the lesson.

Introducing herself as Chigokai Yuna, Hibana would sear that name into her memory as this woman was her first official shinobi sensei.

The was sharp with her words, her explanation of the various poisons filling Hibana's mind. This was not a medium that she had much knowledge in, so she was listening intently.

Nodding along with her sensei's explanation until it was time for Hibana herself to answer a question.

Her heart sunk and her skin grew cold.

Me?! her inner monologue beginning to panic before collecting herself.

"I don't know much about Serpents Blood, I can tell it probably does hurt quite a bit to be affected by it. As for the canister of Tear Gas, I don't know how its created, but I understand the dispersal method." She would begin describing how the canister worked, almost as if she'd memorized exactly how to create this before.

Typically, you'll need a starter solution and an oxidizer. Charcoal is common. But once you have it, the mixture is pressurized and releases in a gas form. Whatever the compound is, is what makes the tear gas do it's... tear thing." Hibana concluded her explanation before she began to ramble, realizing she had yet to answer the second half of her sensei's question. Before becoming too flustered, her mind raced to cobble together what she thought may have been sufficient enough an answer to appease her sensei;

"The liquid looks like something you apply directly to a weapon or a person. As for the canister, I would throw it from a safe distance or rig it to detonate with another trap while I'm away from the blast zone." Hopefully it would be enough to satisfy her sensei. Years of crafting explosive, Hibana had created a smoke grenade or two. Typically followed by "Accidents happen..." from her father, if he was even sober enough to pay enough attention to her.

Yuna would listen to what the girl had to say. She was only able to answer half of the questions that she had given her. Which was a start. She would nod once the girl finished talking.

"You are correct. Serpent's blood, is considered an injury type poison. It is easily used to be applied to one's own weapons before attacking. Just know, your opponenet isn't just going to stand there and watch you do it. If they see you doing it, they'll find a way to plan around it. As for the Tear Gas. Since it is an inhaled type poison, you are correct to assume that it will need to be activated a safe distance from yourself. Due to this, you would need to be proficient in long range combat, estimating distances and timing, to use inhaled poisons effectively."

She would pause before going on. "As for what both of these poisons do," She would state, as Hibana hasn't actually answered that question yet, "Serpent's blood is used for slowing and partially paralyzing your opponent. In a fight if your opponent just falters for even a moment, that could very well give you the edge that you need to take them out." This poison was definitely best used to slow people down and waste their own energy.

She then looked at the pressurized container and then spoke, "Tear gas is used for attacking a person's chakra system. There are chemicals in it that would make your opponents struggle to breathe, and in turn, effect their chakra systems to an extent of slowly draining it. Overall, it is good to use against people who you know are using a lot of their chakra against you. Specifically ninjutsu users would suffer the most from this. Tear gas can stay within the target for about forty seconds before their body is able to fully dispel it from their systems." Such a thing is useful in long term combat as well. But it shouldn't be thought of being used for long term as most fights would usually end in about thirty seconds.

Yuna would then wait for a few seconds so that Hibana could think over what she had just said before going on, "Now that you know a little bit more about poisons, can you tell me different ways to avoid being poisoned or ways to dispel it if you are afflicted with it?"
