Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Osuteno was experiencing many firsts today. It was the first time he had ever seen sand, of which there was lots of. It was the first time he had ever felt such a dry heat, of which there was lots of. It was the first time he had ever seen Ri-Senpai put so much effort into anything, and he had no clue why. They had been moving through the desert for quite some time before Osu noticed the city of Soon's Haven in the distance, the first he had ever seen besides Kumo, but that was not their destination. He knew only a little about it from what he had read such as it being a harbor city and its high marble walls were to keep the desert storms that had, until not too long ago, plagued the area. Osu did not know why the decades long storm subsided, but the point was that it was now much safer to cross the desert here. It also seemed that the sand on the coast was finer and more comfortable than that it the rest of the desert and people would do recreational activities other than fishing on the shores and shallows. This was an odd idea to Osu but he knew it was because he was used to the cold climate of his country. Here it was warm enough to enter without fear of frostbite. Osu was excited when he learned Ri was also curious about this place, though he did not explain why. As they reached the top of a hill Osu saw an ocean for the first time.

It was stupefyingly huge. It looked as big as the sky, endless! He kept trying to think of other words he could use to describe such an impossible thing but he could not even manage to wrap his head around just how big it was. He had read in books that the oceans covered most of the known world but to actually see it was another thing entirely. Osu began running towards it forgetting about how tired poor Ri was, but the nine-year-old was just so excited, even though his stoic face only showed surprise.

As he approached the beach he noticed closer to the city there was a lot of people. From the distance they were at they seemed to be in their underwear oddly enough. The people of Wind Country were a fascinating bunch. Without looking behind him he yelled back to Ri, "Look Ri-Senpai! I think all those men and women are in their underwear or something, it is like they are unafraid of burning up under all this sun!" Such an unusual bunch of people. Rather than going down what looked to be a half a mile or so to meet them Osu had something else higher on his agenda. He put his pack near the mouth of a nearby cave, looked out at the ocean and watched the waves pushing and pulling the water. He listened to the relaxing sound it made and nervously stepped towards it. He found himself quickly stepping back as the water came rushing in at his feet and hoped Ri had not seen him do something so embarrassing as retreat from naturally moving water. Proudly ignoring the fact he did just that, Osu walked out onto the water. It was difficult to see deep into the water below him, and he could not help but wonder how it was different from what he was used to. He stuck a finger in and sniffed it before licking it and instantly regretted doing so. "So salty!" He thought sticking his tongue out. Definitely unsuited for drinking. It was also weird to walk on with it moving around so much. He wondered if it would work any differently from fresh water if he used it in his jutsu.

First he tried some basic water jutsu and didn't notice any difference and gradually moved on to more difficult stuff such as Water Prison and was delighted when he saw he had captured a really colorful fish in the orb. "Ri-Senpai, you really come out here and look at this stuff, the beach is amazing!" He let the fish go and thought about more interesting things he could do. Osu sat down on the water and started channeling vapor chakra which was a little difficult for some reason but he soon managed to get a nice mist going. Osu had to wonder if it was the salty water of how hot the air was that made it difficult, but he had no answer and it wasn't a significant amount of effort so he just decided to ask someone later.

Now it was time to practice his specialty. He looked to make sure no one had wandered down the beach towards them while he had been playing and dropped a single drop of blood infused with chakra into the water. Suddenly a huge red tide of blood rushed out into the ocean pushing apart the waves that got in its way as it moved for some distance, though the color was a bit off from what Osu was used to, it was as big as ever and put the waves around them to shame, much to his pride. He looked back at Ri finally to see what he had been up to and to show off his wave he had made which even in his clan would have been considered an impressive size especially for his age.

Re: A Day at the Beach (Contract search)

Osu wasn't the only one experiencing a lot of firsts that day. It was the first time Ri had ever left Lightning Country, and he would likely be just as amazed as his partner if he wasn't so exhausted. The sand that Osu was so amazed with was more of a nuisance for Ri, just an obstacle that made it difficult to walk since he was wearing wooden sandals. He had tried removing his sandals and walking barefoot before, but that just ended with him getting blisters from the scalding hot sand beneath them. And he thought that the cold was bad, was there no in between in this world? As the city came into view, Ri's thirst started to become overwhelming, so when the ocean was in sight as well, he couldn't help rushing toward it.

Diving into the shallow water, Ri scooped up what he could with his hands and drank the precious liquid. But he was met with a surprisingly disgusting taste. Sure, he had expected it to taste a little funny, even the fresh water from lakes had a bit of a strange taste to it, but this was just too bad. "It's like someone threw a bunch of salt into the water.." He thought as he spit out what he had consumed and continued to spit a few times to try and get the taste out of his mouth.

As he finished dealing with the funny taste, Osu mentioned something about half naked females. But he must be delusional from all the heat, who would be half naked out in the open like this? Ri's disbelief was soon proven wrong when he looked back to the city where Osu had seen them. Ri had the better view in this situation, not because of his position, but because of his insanely good eyesight. He could see enough of the details on each woman that he may swoon if he weren't careful. How was this possible? Women willingly exposing themselves for all to see? The mere thought of this was reason enough for Ri to investigate.

When Osu looked back for approval after splitting the waves in half, his friend was already gone, fully rejuvenated by the sight of the beauties that are women and sprinting down the shore to try and get a better look. "We must go!" Would be the only warning Osu would receive before being left behind to admire the ocean. Ri no longer had time for such petty things such as the ocean! He must satisfy his teenage urges before going to see such a boring sight.

Running was all he could do now. Any thought of his fatigue was now long gone, replaced by his own fantasies while he grew closer to that which he sought. But soon enough, his running turned into walking, and his walking into falling. For, he can ignore his fatigue, but cannot fight it for long. He was at fault, of course. He agreed to walk to another country when he rarely goes for long walks in the village he lives in, and has never ran long distances for years. His fantasies slowly faded away as reality hit him harder than it ever has before. There would be no half naked women for him today...

Ri pushed himself from the ground, then sat back and began breathing heavily. Then he remembered his traveling partner and how he abandoned him, hopefully he didn't run to far, having to walk back would just be hell now that he couldn't even catch his breath. After about a minute, Ri barely managed to climb to his feet, then turned around and began walking back to Osu.

"Osuuuuu!" He cried, "We brought water right? I'm gonna die!" Collapsing yet again as he finished that statement. Water was now the only thing on his mind, he had foolishly refused to drink any water on the entirety of their "walk" and was now regretting his decision, just like he was with most of his life decisions at this point.. The more he thought about it, the more he thought of where he could get some, it was after he began thinking about this that he remembered. Osu's pack!

Even though he couldn't bring himself to stand at this point, Ri was determined to get the water from the pack that was resting near a cave, so his only option was to drag himself. He clawed at the sand and slowly pulled himself to the bag, and after a couple minutes, was so close it was painful. But now he was truly out of energy, there was no way for him to get to the bag, and search through it to find the water. At least he made it this far.. The shade from the cave felt nice, so he didn't mind dying here.

"Goodbye, my friend!" He yelled in an over dramatic kind of way before turning over and placing his hat over his face.

Re: A Day at the Beach (Semi-Open, PM to enter, Failed C-Sea

"... Ri-Senpai?" The older boy was nowhere to be seen. "Where did he go?"Osu wondered putting one hand on his hip and shielded his eyes with the other. Did the older boy run off down the beach to meet the locals? Osu's hearing had super human qualities for being able to hear to blood-flow of those around him but his other senses were pretty average for a ninja. He could barely make out that the figures a mile down the beach were even people, much less try and tell if Ri was among them. How long had he been playing in the ocean? It could not have been all that long could it? He looked at the shore and saw that the water had moved up the shore. "Oh right, tides go in and out at the ocean. Hmm..." He saw both his and Ri's footprints lead up to the water but the waves were washing those closer to the ocean away. Rather inconvenient really. Still, Ri sometimes got really sociable for no apparent reason so it was a safe bet that he went towards the beach goers, Osu thought to himself, still not realizing that his friend got "sociable" when there were pretty girls around and he was a perverted soul.

As Osu began to walk down the beach he suddenly remembered that the tide coming in meant... "My pack!" Osu ran back to the cave where he had left his pack and sure enough he noticed the water was about to get a hold of his bag. He snatched it up and sighed with relief. If he had been just a couple minutes later he would have lost his supplies. He then spotted something else about to be taken away by the tide. "Oh he left his hat here- Ri-Senpai!" Osu noticed that the rest of Ri was under his hat and he was dangerously close to having his face be under the water. Osu immediately made a few clones and drug Ri out of the water. Flushed skin, rapid breathing, increased heart rate... Ri was very dehydrated and was overheated. Had he not had any water while they were crossing the desert? This was a failure on Osu's part as a MiT. It was the medic's duty to oversee the health of their comrades. The four Osu's took Ri a bit further into the cave and while the clones gave him little sips of water at a time, got most of the soaked clothing off of him and stood near the mouth of the cave to make sure the tide wasn't coming in too far yet, the real body was using the Mystic Hand healing jutsu on Ri's blistered and torn feet before moving on to using the System Restoration jutsu on his sunburns.

Today just wasn't Ri's day. The clone watching the tide came back to warn that the tide would be on them in a few minutes. They could just walk right out on top of the water, but the problem was what to do with Ri, who still wasn't up yet and he could use some more water. Sadly they were out, as Osu had already had quite a bit on the way and didn't think Ri would come without supplies. Osu pulled out a large cloth, spread it out and put Ri on it. He then created a long pole with his Henomancer's Gift and the clones knotted the corners of the sheet over the pole creating a hammock like stretcher. The four of them lifted up the pole and headed towards the populated area of the beach after the second clone suggested that someone there was bound to have fresh water.

Osu's main thought on the way over was that Ri was heavy. He had the clone in the back smack Ri's face lightly to see if he would stir from time to time. He also found he was having to heal his own sunburns on the way over and thought about bringing a bunch of Zinc the next time he came to the desert. His pale snowy mountain skin just was not used to this abuse from the sun. Maintaining the clones and the blood pole was beginning to tire him out after about ten minutes but he was finally approaching the much more populated area of the beach. It was so strange seeing all these people running around in underwear and shorts, and only one in so many was wearing a shirt, even though back home people bathed together in the mixed baths at the hot springs.

"Excuse me," Osu began stopping people, "Does anyone have some fresh water I can give to my friend?" The first few people he asked did not have any to spare. After another few minutes Osu had to put the covered Ri down and release his clones and the blood pole to recharge for a bit. He would have been able to maintain the blood object alone for days but he had used the clone jutsu for far too long and done quite a bit of healing so he had burnt himself out of chakra to the point it had begun to eat through most of his stamina. He had quite a bit of both but he was still young despite his skill and just was not capable of performing such a feat without completely exhausting himself in the process. Still, it was better now that there were plenty of other people around and the combination of his Kumo style clothing and head band around his neck in combination with the fact he was dragging a body around in a sheet had gathered a bit of attention. He gazed up at the bright blue sky and listened to people asking each other what they should do. He was simply waiting to gather enough chakra to make himself an umbrella and maintain it for some shade.

Re: A Day at the Beach (Semi-Open, PM to enter, Failed C-Sea

The world was now dark. Nothing could be heard nor seen. Ri felt no reason he should move, and he certainly didn't want to, for there was no where to go. It was certainly a strange thing, it was like waking up in the middle of the night and being met with darkness, only this was much darker. It was hard to explain, but it was how it seemed. A sudden urge to turn his head, and saw a bright light in the distance. Should he investigate? Of course he should! Who wouldn't? Trying to walk felt strange in whatever world this was, for you couldn't feel your feet touching the ground, or feel anything at all in fact. It made the whole "walking" thing difficult in fact.

Ri began to become a little discouraged as the light that he wished to investigate never seemed to grow any closer, no matter how far he thought he walked. There was no way to tell what time it was, and there was no way he was going to start counting to keep track, so there was only walking. After what felt like an hour later, the walking turned into running as Ri was filled energy. He had no clue where all the energy came from, but he did know that the light was now growing closer. It seemed like the damn thing had been walking too, if running fixed the distance problem. Now he'd finally get to see what this light really was.

The light filled his vision more and more as he grew closer and closer, eventually being the only thing he could see. Soon after his eyes were filled with the light, he sat up on the cloth where he was placed and breathed deeply through his nostrils. The light was cool, but what was better is what now filled his vision. Half naked women as far as the eye could see, and none of them scowling at Ri just for looking! Never in his life would he have thought that there would be a place that he could look at real scantily clad women without being judged for it!

A decision must now be made.. Should he frolic in the woman field before him? Or remain on the cloth where he could simply stare. There was clearly only one choice now, and Ri knew what he had to do... He sprung to his feet and sprinted into the crowd, now fully rejuvenated despite the fact he was only running off of a small amount of water. There could be nothing better in this world than the place he was in now, for he could run free where he truly belonged. Perhaps he had died from dehydration and this was his reward for all of his hard work? It doesn't matter if he never actually worked hard, but could it be that this place was truly meant for him?

Ri continued frolicking, but the fun didn't last for long.. There was something out there. Something unexpected and horrifyingly disgusting. Clutching his chest, he fell to his knees and moaned a painful moan. The thing he saw, which should never be something a man sees when frolicking. Another man! Not just another man, but one that was half naked! After the one man caught his attention, it seemed like all of the beautiful women that once filled these lands quickly turned into men that would haunt Ri's dreams for a long time to come. What once seemed like heaven was now slowly turning into a hell worse than hell itself. Drops of water fell on his head, so he looked to the sky, pain in his eyes as he saw it began to rain. Raising his hands into the air, he let out one, painful cry.

"WWWWWWHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!" To Ri, the scene fit perfectly with his agony, but to others, it wasn't a painful or rainy day. The water was from children splashing around in the ocean, not rain from the sky, and what seemed like millions of women turning into men was actually one man that turned his whole world upside down. A lot of attention was drawn to Ri after his little scene, and now he was lying on his side, close to crying from the horrific sight he just saw. Surely this would follow him for the rest of his life, never would his mind allow him to forget such a frightening (and eventually embarrassing) situation.

Re: A Day at the Beach (Semi-Open, PM to enter, Failed C-Sea

Osuteno officially disliked the beach, the desert, and anything else having to deal with heat and sand. The peasants around him were useless... Peasants? It occurred to Osu that it felt like his hold on things was slipping from the heat shaking his head he tried to sit up a little. Raiden he felt unwell. He began opening and closing his hands which were burned it seemed. Fantastic. Rather than attempting to open his eyes he tried to gauge how much chakra he had recovered from his rest, it was enough. A large parasol formed in his hand and he stabbed it into the ground though he didn't let go of it, he had been trying to figure out how to get these objects to remain without contact but it wasn't something anyone in the clan had really considered possible, and so no one had tried. After another good minute or five he opened his eyes wearily and began to look around. Sure enough people were still staring and doing nothing though a bit more space had opened up, probably because he had transformed a large blob of blood into an parasol. That sort of thing did tend to bother non-shinobi.

Looking around Osu saw that Ri was no longer wrapped up like Osu had left him. With his eyes, Osu followed the footprints left by those wooden sandals Ri always wore and saw the older boy... was Ri crying? Osu couldn't see Ri's face but he was certainly breathing heavily and irregularly. That was it. This beach place was terrible. Using the parasol much like a walking stick, Osu brought himself up to his feet. Never before had Osu been so grateful over the fact his wounds mostly seemed to heal own their own, though that did not seem to apply to burns, and he gradually made his way over to Ri dragging the cloth behind him. Osu sat down next to Ri, still feeling the heat of the sand through his clothes, and stabbed the parasol into the ground where both of them were in its shade. He pressed his face against it so he could let go and use his hands to tear the cloth into two pieces. "Ri-Senpai, let's head home. There is a river a good twenty miles north and a bit east from here where we should be able to get some fresh water on our way back." It would mean a slight detour while crossing through Iron Country but they needed more water soon and he just wanted to be out of this horrid country. Not waiting for Ri's reply Osu began wrapping the older boy's feet in the cloth so he would have some protection from the desert sand. When he was done he patted Ri's shoulder. "Come on Ri-Senpai, we at least have same shade this time if I can manage to keep it going." When Ri finally got to his feet Osu would begin to walk North along this horrible coastline, still using the blood parasol as a walking stick. They had a long way to go.

Re: A Day at the Beach (Semi-Open, PM to enter, Failed C-Sea

Ri let his traveling companion wrap the cloth around his feet, and he climbed to his feet after getting his breathing back under control. The thought of a half naked man being in a "paradise" like this would scar him for a while, but at least they were leaving now. He followed beside Osuteno, making sure to stay in the shade to keep cool. Keep cool... Ri never thought that would be something that he actually wanted, especially considering that you can't be anything but cool in Kumo. Oh well, maybe he'd even be happy to get back to the village. Just maybe though, there was certainly no guarantee.

"Glad.. We're finally leaving this hell hole.." He muttered as they began walking away from the beach. The boy made sure to look back occasionally to be sure he had some eye candy for the road, but he had to be extra careful not to accidentally look at any men. That would just cause more mental damage to him than he thought he really deserved.

The heat of the sand was still able to pierce through the cloth that Osu had wrapped around his feet, which made the walk equally as uncomfortable as when they first entered the country, but it was easier to walk without his sandals digging into the sand every step he took. Speaking of his sandals, where were they? Ri freaked out for a second while he looked for his sandals, just before realizing that they were in his hand the whole time. The heat from the sun really must be getting to him now.. It would be better just to take it easy until they arrived at that river Osu had mentioned.
