Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kazuhiko blinked in the sunlight. Another perfectly normal day, he thought. The sky is clear, the sun shining, and here I am dragging a sleeping chuunin out of the village. Perfectly normal. Kazuhiko approached the gate nonchalantly dragging an unconscious Mochizuki Tama behind him.

“Chuunin Mochizuki Tama and Kichida Kazuhiko requesting exit for mission.” The young man called out, seemingly to no one in particular. But he knew better than to think that no one was paying attention at the gates, he only had to wait and someone would come to check his and Tama’s paperwork.

Meanwhile Tama slumbered blissfully on, unaware that she was being dragged into another mission for Kumogakure.

As if summoned by Kazuhiko's call, four kumo-nin in white combat armor blinked into existence in front of the boy and his sleeping companion- a somewhat flashy entrance but nothing too over the top by most standards. Kazuhiko would potentially recognize the group save for one; Shiro and Kiyoko stood with another boy about their age, and Ren stood behind the trio observing their actions and sometimes giving a quick hand signal or other nonverbal command.

When was the last time I saw Kazuhiko? Well, I don't really remember. Still, just seeing him made today's patrol that much more bearable.

"Haaaiiii! Kazu-san!" I said as I ran up to him. I would do the usual routine of checking whatever paperwork he gave to me and giving the occasional nod and wave to Yasu-sensei to confirm that everything was okay (BORING!) but while I had his attention I had to at least try at a bit of small talk. "How've you been? Did you get enough sleep last night? Do you need some coffee?" I said, if he asked I would forfeit a can of iced coffee to him (honestly, I didn't like the stuff at all, but I always kept a can on hand just in case). While I wrapped up his paperwork my mind went in a completely different direction.

"Say, if you aren't doing anything after the mission, we should go do something! I promise not to kiteify you again- unless you wanna do that!!" I offered, honestly not expecting to get far. I had been going through a bit of a bad luck spell lately but I just had to try anyway.

Once the whole boring paperwork thing was done I turned back to my squadmates "Hey! Kasu-san did his paperwork like a good boy! Time to let him do his job?" I shouted back at them.

Ren chuckled at Kiyoko's enthusiasm in greeting Kazuhiko; to his knowledge the girl had some history with the chuunin but they hadn't talked in some time- possibly years. But Kiyoko tried her best to just pick up like nothing happened, it was amusing, and maybe a bit admirable.

Once Kiyoko confirmed that Kazuhiko hadn't skimped on the paperwork (he knew how that kinda stuff was a major chore) Ren waved over to him. "Permission to depart granted to both of you, although I do hope you don't have to carry that poor girl all the way there- that would kinda suck. Best of luck, Chuunin Kichida-san." he said.

Through the entire exchange the other members of the squad remained relatively quiet; Shiro defaulted to his featureless gaze, while Dante pretended to space out a little while observing the area for anything out of the ordinary (or maybe he actually did space out and would need to be snapped out of it later, it was hard to tell with that kid).

Regardless, it was business as usual.

Kazuhiko nodded his thanks to Ren, "She'll wake up eventually, I'm sure." Turning to Kiyoko he said, "Sure thing, Suzuki-san. When I get back I'll see if I can look up Yo-, Izawa-san and the rest of Ataeru's students. It would be nice to catch up on things with the whole group." That's if I even survive, he thought grimly.

With a cheerful wave that belied the gravitas of the task he was going out to accomplish, he bid the alabaster-clad quartet farewell, and dragged Tama out of the village.
