Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

No matter what sort of training that Sora did, he always returned to the same place that called to his heart, the same place that had helped to start him on the journey to discovering more about himself, that place was none other than the Oracle's Library. A magnificent place, or at least by the estimation that Sora surmised, it never failed that he could always find a good read in this place. It was on this particular trip that Sora found himself doing research about the Orders. Somewhat familiar with what they did and how they operated, Sora's research found that there were as many books and manuscripts about them as there were those that omitted key details. No doubt this was done in order to protect the knowledge that they contained. It was clear that in order to learn more that Sora would have to actually join one of them but to join them would be to make a decision and that wasn't something that Sora felt like he was ready to do yet. Still wanting to find out more about himself and what sort of person, or rather, what sort of Ancient that he would be. Sure of only one thing, Sora knew that he wasn't ready to choose but in the meantime, he would go about continuing to better himself by bettering his mind. Finding a nice sitting place, he'd crack open the book that he had picked out and sit down to delve into another great read.

It seemed to always be this way, words coming to him and words leaving him, as he focused on trying to find something that would continue to draw his interest, he found himself on yet another incredible old and incredibly underutilized part of the library. Old and dusty and apparently in some part open to the elements due to the sand that he amount of sand that he found at the edges of the bookshelves, Sora found himself in a section detailing all of the many different precious waterways that were present in and around the Wind Country. While he wasn't expecting to stumble upon the information, he found it quite interesting if for no other reason than the fact that he was a part of the Ancient Water Court. If there were stories to be had about ancient and current waterways then it only stood to reason that he should want to know about them. Surrounded by a large desert, it was no secret that water was precious in the whole of the country but especially for a populous location such as Sunagakure. If the water wasn't protected then it would be a short and simple task to starve the people for the resource that was paramount to life itself. True, there were always ways of making water, but even the best suiton jutsu users were incapable of creating entire oceans and seas worth of water. Noting just where he was, Sora made a mental file in his mind dedicated to the location. He knew that he'd no doubt continue to visit the location in the future.

As Sora was finding, nothing about this study session was happening quickly. In fact, the amount of time that he was spending more than confirmed that he'd be late for a lot of other things. Having a voracious appetite for knowledge as he did, he considered the loss of time elsewhere to be worth it here. Finding new tomes to delve into was a treat for sure but Sora. These days, so much of his time was spent alone that he considered the lack of being tied to a large shinobi class to be a boon. For many others there was always the fear of getting lost in the crowd, for Sora however, the fear was that all eyes would forever be upon him. With few places to hide from the limelight, especially when considering the sort of friends and frenemies that he was making, being able to dive into a good read was growing to be more than just a hobby but also a means of therapy. Having the space to learn and explore of his own volition was making him a better person day by day. Even his parents seemed to notice that something was different about him and his growth was becoming evident for all to see. Having amassed all the information that he had, it dawned on Sora that he ought to start looking into the Orders. There was enough information about them that he ought to be able to make an educated choice about which to join, but which? Perhaps Kaen would have some insight.

Thinking of Kaen, it also occurred to Sora that there was a large amount of information concerning Ancients that he was simply unaware of. If they were from two different groups then how many existed, and for that matter why hadn't anyone else from any of the other groups or his own reached out to him? If Suigetsu was to be believed, which ironically meant literally trusting himself, then Sora was by all accounts an outcast. That being the case, he couldn't have been the only outcast. Unless there was a reason that they were staying away from him. That or it was as Suigetsu believed, that they believed him to be completely incapacitated. For what it was worth, until he could fully venture out into the world truly sure of who he was, it only stood to reason that it was very much to his benefit to keep to himself and to not make too much noise. The more eyes that were on him then the greater the risk of him being caught unaware. Thankfully, the Oracle's Library held much more information than he would ever need to consume and with the truth in mind, there was little doubt in his mind that there would be some book, or scroll or documentation of some sort that would give him a clue as to how expansive the world of Ancients truly was. In the meantime, he would only allow himself to ponder over the world that he didn't know before he got back to focusing on what he did know.

Feeling his stomach begining to grumble before he actually hear it, Sora realized that he'd spent as much time as he could afford in the Oracle's Library. There was a wealth of knowledge and he knew that he couldn't take it all on at once and so he did what knew that he should and he found a decent place to stop for the day. With so much on his mind and so much still to learn, there was a part of him that wanted to spend the rest of the day and indeed the rest of the evening absorbing as much as he could, but Ancient or not, he knew that to ignore his need for food would be something that he'd later regret if he wasn't careful. Making sure to put his materials away, Sora finally exited the library and started on his way home. With what he had gleaned from all the time spent lost in his own head and in the deep tomes, he was satisfied with knowing that he was ultimately bettering himself. Bettering himself would in turn lead to him being more prepared in the future and more sure of himself as he focused as much on his mental education as his physical one. Next up, would be a hearty meal and he'd start all over again the next day with a head full of ideas and a heart yearning for more. Walking the Sunagakurian streets as it were, he was very glad that his parents had chosen this place to be their home.
