History: Aiko and his brother Junko were raised in Sunagakure with the help of other members of the village. Their parents were star-crossed lovers from two separate villages at the edge of the Sand's territory. These two small villages had been at war with each other for centuries and both sides resented the other. At some point however, the two young lovers fell in love and their mother soon gave birth to two young boys, Aiko and Junko. Word spread quickly and a year after the two boys' births, word spread about the secret love between the two and the villages condemned the traitors. They were forced to flee, their reputations ruined in the village and the people living in the village hostile towards them. They knew that there was no way to escape their fate, and they would be killed sooner or later for what they had done, but they wanted their children to survive. They were the last things that they had besides each other. A friend of the two who had known about the relationship of the two before the villages had grown hostile towards them, agreed to take the children somewhere safe where they could be raised peacefully and the children never saw their parents again. They were too young at the time to really remember the faces of their parents. The two boys always had each other for support, and with the help of the village they developed into the independent duo they are now.
