Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Harumi scanned the open area for the the tallest electrical pole, she needed the tallest for this part of her training. She quickly found it and sat down her bag at it's base. Opening the bag revealed a set of differing kunai and even a throwing axe; she began to prepare her assorted weapons by setting them in a very specific order. Once she readied herself to her liking, she went to work. This portion of her training involved using the kunai she'd brought as a step ladder, unorthodox, but effective. The routine made her focus her aim so that the kunai would sink in deep enough to stand on, and precisely in the pattern she needed to get to the top.

"Okay, hardest part is the first step..." she said to herself, a sort of personal pep talk.

She steadied her breathing and imagined the kunai hitting it's mark, with a satisfying *Thunk*. The kunai pierced the wood of pole, but even from this distance Harumi could tell it wasn't deep enough to stand on. She tried again, still no difference, all twenty kunai, and not one would even pierce to the middle.

"Dammit, I can't... *pant*...even get them...*pant*...deep enough" she huffed exhausted from the effort of the constant throwing and retrieving of the kunai.

This wasn't going to work, no matter how determined she was, her physical strength was a barrier she'd yet to overcome. She instead decided to try setting up small paper targets around the clearing and up some poles a little ways. She tried running while throwing and jumping while throwing, she practiced until her sides screamed in protest. She took a moment to breathe.

"I better take a small break then...*pant*" she wheezed through gasps for air.

[legend="Beans"]As usual, Chi was spending her time away from the house as per her parents' orders. Of course she thought they just wanted her to go train at the academy, she didn't realize they were trying to get rid of her as always. So she went straight to the proving grounds to see if she knew anyone there, hoping not to run into the "doof" she met in her last class. The first few people she saw seemed too preoccupied, then she stumbled upon a girl throwing Kunai at paper targets. She watched her running around and jumping, just watching it made her exhausted. She put her finger to her bottom lip and let it fall over like she does so often and stood there until the young girl until she seemed too tired to go on.
"Hey!" Chi would yell, running up to her. "That looked fun, you're really good with those throwing knives. She invited herself to join the girl and ran up next to her. "My name's Chi, Kogane Chi! What's yours? Are you a student here? What's your favorite color, mine's red. Are you a student here?" she bombarded the girl with questions, though she was probably too tired to answer. She didn't realize she had asked her if she was a student twice.[/legend]

You never really understand how great water is until your chugging it desperately. Sitting in the corner of the yard, Harumi dug a sandwich out of her bag and began to chew. She didn't notice the chattering girl until she had time to stop and breathe. She tried her best to remember her questions, but there were a lot. The only few she could remember, she answered quickly.

"My name is Yujiro Harumi, I am a student, and orange" She answered in between gulps of water.

The girl in front of her was very pretty, her hair was a stunning white and her eyes were a brillant blue. Her beauty was sort of mesmerizing...Harumi snapped herself out of the trance like state with a quick shake of her head. Harumi could tell this girl was colorful, for lack of a better term. She studied the girl further, as Harumi did with everyone. She soon realized she'd seen her around, she said her name was Kogane Chi, Harumi had definitely seen her at the academy before.

"You're a student to right? I'm assuming from your questions." Harumi asked looking at the girl. "Do you want to train with me? You seemed awfully eager to run with me earlier."

[legend="Beans"]Chi smiled, listening to the other girl speak. Chi could tell that she was tuckered out, and she wondered how long she had been there training. It seemed like a long time, but Chi got there in the middle of it so she couldn't be sure. Chi clasped her hands behind he back and leaned forward while Harumi answered her various questions. She smiled at her and was interested at her favorite color.
"Orange, huh? Orange is so antisocial. I don't know why, I kind of like that color. It looks nice, but it's just so…. Socially awkward." She put a finger to her lip once more, looking up at the sky. She had yet to notice the girl's eyes, those green eyes. It was the color she couldn't stand the most, she would say that green had a personality that was just evil. She snapped out of her thoughts when Harumi suggested that they train together.
"Yeah! I'm a student, I just started recently but I feel like I'm progressing at a fast rate! I already know quite a few jutsu, and they're so much fun." She giggled at the thought of having progressed at a fast rate. "Yeah, we should totally train together! My parents sent me here to train, they want me to be the best!" She jumped backwards and tried to get into a stance, but she didn't know any so she ended up just standing there looking awkward… But she still looked like she was having fun already.[/legend]

After Masaki wasmalldone with the delivery he noticed that the day was still young and decided that he need to train if he wants to become a shinobi. He headed to the Proving Grounds to at least get in some decent training, on his person he carried a scroll of a old training regiment along with 80 pounds of weight. The regiment included using weights on each limb and lower torso, then increasing the weight every 2 weeks. With the current weight set at 20 pounds on each limb, jogging around the area wasn't an easy task especially when distraction from the two ninjas that are sparing, he notice that one of them has snow white hair, and the other one have dirty blond hair that have a shine to it. Choosing to not get involved counting on running. After 2 hours of jogging Masaki then decided to do 100 sit ups under 30 minutes, and later mock battle himself punch 50 times on each arm and kick 50 times on each leg. Masaki was just finish and notice that the spare between the two ninjas are getting ugly. Masaki was wise enough just to walk away and take a break. While resting he unstrap the weights, the white hair ninja started using injury and the one with dirty blonde hair just dodged, until she had gotten her bow and quiver. Choosing to ignore the distraction Masaki continued to meditate. Using the meditate technique he learned in the academy to reach his chakra, after 25 minutes he felt something.
'Will the is a small difference but is a stat.'

Seeing the girl jump back into the awkward stance (that one can only assume was her fighting style) got Harumi excited. This is the first time since coming to Mairuishi that she'd be able to use a moving target-uh, I mean sparring partner- to train. Harumi got up her self taking the last bite of her sandwich, and made her way to her position about ten meters from the girl. She readied her bow, Yukrai to strike in close quarters, a favored fighting style of her own. She put her hand about 3 inches lower than where she would to shoot, this was so that she could put the full weight of Yukrai into her strikes. She slid her legs to a stable stance, admittedly not knowing a legitimate one, she just mimicked what she's seen. This was a sight to be had, to young girls standing awkwardly looking at each other at a distance of ten meters.

"Orange is anti-social? What do you mean?" Harumi asked "Is that a stab at me?" she followed with a chuckle.

Then she got serious.

"Ready yourself Chi!" She cautioned to the girl, a vote of confidence. "I'm coming at you full strength"

'Okay that was a bit of a bluff' She thought to herself.

What Harumi lacked in brute strength, she made up for in accuracy and dexterity. Quickly, she studied Chi with her eyes darting to every last detail that could be a weakness. She seemed confident enough, and absolutely bubbly. She was smiling wide She breathed in and took a step forward, launching herself towards her opponent.

[legend="Beans"]"That wasn't a stab at you, I…" Chi dropped her awful stance for a moment, thinking about what had happened with her brother. She had never realized before that moment that she had something wrong with her. It was just in her nature to associate colors with personalities, she thought it was a normal thing. At least now that she knew it wasn't a normal thing, she could try to subdue her "sickness" with people. At least out loud. "Never mind, it was nothing against you."

She looked serious now, pushing her left foot forward to help her keep her ground and her right one back for extra support. She brought her hands together in the form of a handseal and took a deep breath. Their first spar, she felt, held a precedent for the future. She would always remember what took place here, whether victory, loss, or tie. No matter what, she just wanted to make a good first impression. It didn't matter if she won or loss as long as Harumi would remember what went down.

"Let's go!" Harumi decided to make the first move, launching herself at Chi. Chi made handseals quickly to activate gravel shift in an attempt to throw the girl off balance. Whether it effected the girl or not, Chi was already breathing in getting ready to unleash a thermal maw jutsu for whatever she had in store. She was going all out on this person she had just met, and she hoped that she would do the same. Not only was this her first spar with Harumi, this was her first spar in general with another person.[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC:273"]Go ahead and send me a message if I didn't explain what she was doing well enough o: I'm not that good at RP battles ;)[/legend]

Harumi's rushing adrenaline made her sloppy and she didn't take into account the skill level of this girl. She was academy student yes, but most likely Harumi's senior and almost definitely better. At the rush of the battle beginning Harumi rushed Chi, trying to attack, but keep an exit open. Harumi was caught off guard by the sudden, but subtle shift in the ground, stumbling she fell flat on her face. She fell, and when you fall you get back up. Quickly recovering, Harumi dashed left at the blast of flame from Chi's mouth, still getting burned a bit on her lower back.

'Seriously, Harumi what were you thinking?' She cursed herself for starting so rashly and stupidly.

The searing pain in her back was not a deterrent to her strategy, if she couldn't fight close, she'd fire from a far. Slipping 4 arrows out of the quiver at her waist, Harumi took aim in a moment and fired volley. The arrows flew through the air one after another, each following an arc towards Harumi's opponent. Once the final arrow had been shot, Harumi quickly detached her quiver from her belt and undid the belt. She threw it around a pole she'd been throwing kunai at a few minutes ago and caught the buckle in her other hand. She put her feet to pole and shuffled up quickly, fearing an attack from behind. This idea was risky, but she was serious now, not to mention Harumi didn't exactly do well with heights. If this was a fear she needed to over come to become shinobi, she'd do it.

(OoC: No problem, don't tell anyone, but this is my first :p Also, sorry if I got carried away in this post, I really got into it.)

[legend="Beans"]Chi had managed to get her with the flame blast, if only along the back. She was okay with that, at least she got a hit in before the girl came in with arrows towards Chi's person. Chi watched them as carefully as possible, but one still managed to hit while another grazed her. The arrow embedded itself right into her shoulder. Chi closed her eyes letting out a small yelp, then she opened her eyes and there was a fire in them. Literally. Her eyes had a flame coming from them like when she attacked her brother before. She snapped the end of the arrow off instead of pulling it out so she wouldn't bleed as much as if she pulled the whole thing out.
"You'll have to do better than that!" When she looked up she saw Harumi getting to the top of the pole. "What cha doin' up there, for?" With a few handseals she summoned flames to her hands and threw them at her. Three shots would fly in her direction, then she's perform the jutsu again to send more at her if she moved from her perch.
"This is crazy fun…" Chi thought to herself. "Let's see if I can burn her more!" The young girl let out a chuckle, attempting to dodge any attacks that Harumi may try to throw at her.[/legend]

After looking into his charka, with little control that is, Masaki is studying a scroll of a lighting justu called Strom bolt. Standing up Masaki gather rocks for targets, lining the rocks in a line Masaki stood 10 feet away and took a deep breath and focus. slowly pouring charka to his finger tips feeling his hair standing up, taking a deep breath than release. Nothing came out, looking at his hand he saw a electric current going round his fingers and shot at a wall nearby. looking at the newly made hole on the wall Masaki looks at the scroll again and see what he did wrong.'Dame it that was not suppose to happen, what the hell I'm doing wrong?' Taking a break Masaki look at the hole on the wall and thinkMaybe I put to much chakra into the justu, lets try again.' With that in mind Masaki pump charka in his finger tips but with less charka, feeling the electric current in his finger tips he took aim and release shooting the bolt. 4/10 rocks that was lined up was destroyed, feeling drained Masaki decided to take a nape with a smile on his face feeling he is getting stronger.

Honestly, Harumi didn't know what she was doing climbing the pole. She had a very rough idea forming in her head, but other than that...nothing. She reached the top of the pole and got her balance standing up. She reattached her belt, racking her brain for what to do next....she'll probably launch some long or even medium range ninjutsu at her position high above the field. Suddenly, she got an idea, a great idea, she drew back Yukrai's string and notched and arrow, a special arrow. This was of her father's design, or at least that's what he said, Harumi doubted it actually was, but nonetheless. It had a thicker stem of the arrow, due to the thin, but tightly woven rope cemented in side it. She launched the arrow downwards towards the space right in front of Chi and hoped for the best.

'Come on....Come on!' she thought to herself. She realized she'd been taking this entirely to serious, but those burns hurt.

The arrow met the ground with a thunk, perfect. Harumi stabbed a claw looking hook into the pole and slid Yukrai over the rope. She took a deep breath and jumped...luckily the rope caught her weight well. She came speeding downward and straight towards Chi, hopefully she'd catcher her by surprise and get her down at least. However, she did not expect the small explosion of lightning of to her left, it distracted her and she let loose flailing at Chi below. This was gonna hurt.

[legend="Beans"]It seemed that Chi's attack was totally ignored by Harumi, none of her blasts had hit. This annoyed Chi and her bipolar disorder took over, she started to literally growl. It would seem both girls were taking this spar too seriously. The flames covering Chi's eyes turned gold as her true pyromania took over. She was distracted by the annoyance of her attack missing, however, and missed the arrow hitting in front of her. She looked up and saw Harumi coming at her at full speed, then there was a bolt of lightning to Chi's right and apparently it causes Harumi to lose her grip.
"Blazing Flare!" Chi yelled out after performing the handseals, but it was too late. Harumi was already too close and slammed into Chi. The two of them would most likely fall onto the ground together, but since Chi had already gotten the Jutsu ready she was unable to stop herself from unleashing it. As she hit the ground she unleashed the jutsu, exhaling the extra-large fireball out of her mouth (in such a way that it would miss Harumi and leave her unharmed). The fire ball would not be able to go unnoticed, though a low ranking Jutsu the flames were a bright gold color as they rose straight up into the air in a big huff.
Chi had landed with a thump and closed his eyes, and when she opened her eyes the flames that surrounded them dispersed and she was back to normal. She hadn't forgotten what had happened, this wasn't a split personality situation. She was unsure as to how that kind of thing could have happened, however. She would giggle and, if Harumi hadn't already gotten off of her, would poke her in the face.
"Boop. I guess we're done with that then?"[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC: 302"]Fun RP fight, can't wait to face you in the tourney so we can fight for real ;)[/legend]

Jumping up from a loud swooshing sound, Masaki notice that the two students stop fighting and where sitting down. Looks like they stop fighting Looking at his back pack he pull out 2 other justu scroll to practice them the first one is called Thunder Fist in the description that you channel electricity into the fist or your weapon, it can't be that hard grapping his bo staff spinning it a couple of times getting a feel for it and stop and focus. Channeling charka in his staff he active Thunder Fist spinning the electric covered staff in felt natural to him. stopping the charka. Masaki decided to work on the other justu called Water Gun, but didn't ended up well. At first the water exploded on his face and was soaked. After 5 tries Masaki finally got the justu right, but keep on practicing.

Slamming into chi hurt, a lot. Harumi could tell Chi was already rearing up for a jutsu, most likely something to do with fire. When the two girls collided, a burst of flame erupted from chi's mouth and flew high into the air as Harumi blacked out due to the impact of hitting Chi with such force. A few seconds later, Harumi opened her eyes and found she was still on top of her opponent, then Chi giggled and poked her face.

"Boop. I guess we're done with that then?"

"Yep, looks that way...sorry for whatever that was."

With that Harumi scanned the area in search of who made that mini-explosion that caused her to trip up. With a glance, she already knew the culprit, Masaki sat across the field near the crater from the explosion. Jeez, he did have a way with lightning... standing up to get off Chi, she walked over to the boy and Harumi began to scold:

"Masaki! We were in the middle of a fight, I was gonna look cool! And you wrecked it all up!" She half screamed, calming down a bit she spoke again "What are you doing over here anyway? Practicing some of your lightning ninjutsu?"

[legend="Beans"]Chi waited a moment, watching Harumi as she looked around. Chi liked lying there with the girl on top of her, it really calmed her down for some reason. She felt a slight disappointment when she actually got off and stood up. Chi pushed herself up as Harumi started scolding a boy who was nearby. Chi giggled as she yelled at him, it seemed like she knew the stranger. Chi was enjoying the battle, but now that it was over she remembered then arrow Harumi had shot into her arm.
"Oh… Yeah…" She nonchalantly pulled the arrow out with a wince, then golden chakra would wrap her hand as she began using the low rank medical jutsu to heal the wound. "Harumi, did I burn you at all? I can help you if you'd like." She would smile at her and cock her head to the side a bit, letting her big fluffy hair knock over to the side. She thought she had seen her get hit so she thought it might be possible she was burned even though the jutsu wasn't that strong. If she was and she agreed to it Chi would use her other hand to heal her wherever she was burned. Whether she did or not, after the fact she would turn her attention back to the lightening user.
"My name is Chi of the Kogane clan, and you are… Masaki?" She asked because she was standing up as Harumi began yelling at her so she just barely caught the name. "I take it you two know each other."[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC: 263"][/legend]

"Yeah, I know him. We went on a mission together and we've been hanging out a lot lately, but that doesn't excuse you!" Harumi said turning to Masaki as she finished.

It wasn't surprising that Masaki was here, this is a common training ground for students and full fledged ninja alike. Calming down Harumi noticed the wound on Chi's shoulder from her arrow. Had she really gotten her that bad? jeez, it looked like it hurt...

"Oh! Sorry about your shoulder... You got me pretty good, looks like my back is starting to blister, ouch." Harumi said visibly wincing at the sizziling noise from her back. She didn't dare touch it. "Anyway, I have some medical supplies back at my... cave. Well, it's more like a cavern, but nicer. I swear I'm not a cave hermit. If you want, follow me." Harumi said giggling at her own joke.

Walking towards the crack in the wall, Harumi didn't check to see if the other two were following. Although, she hadn't shown anyone where she lived, but she was moving soon anyway. Slipping through the entrance she waited to see if anyone followed.

WC: 191

After packing his stuff in his backpack and looked around the area, noticing there are no body at the training ground Masaki, decided to follow Harumi to see the "cave" that she lives in. Must be a lot better than a old run down hut in the middle of no where. Looking at Chi's new hole on her shoulder. "Come on might as will check on the new hole on your shoulder." Shifting his backpack on his right shoulder Masaki followed Harumi towards her home.

[legend="Beans"]Chi would giggle at the interaction between the two, Harumi yelling at the boy for his actions which caused her to mess up. Then when Harumi apologized about her shoulder Chi just shrugged with a smile, it wasn't that bad. Her medical jutsu was healing it up nice. It hurt when it actually happened, and when she pulled it out, but it was feeling fine by that point. Chi would move closer to try and look at her back but before she could do anything Harumi began talking about medical supplies at her cave. The idea of her living in a cave never crossed Chi's mind, but it didn't faze her like it probably should have. She was raised in Haruishi and her family had a good amount of money. Still, she didn't think twice about Harumi's home being a cave.
"Sure, I'll go with ya." She didn't pay attention to the other boy's comment, she was already "checking" on it. Her hand was covered in gold chakra, covering the wound. It was obviously a medical jutsu (at least to her, it could be the boy's never seen one before). "I think it'd be cool to live in a cave! Are there bats? Bats are cool." Chi skipped behind Harumi til she caught up with her, keeping in stride so she stayed right behind in order to actually follow her. When they got to the entrance Chi slipped through right behind Harumi, making sure to watch her hair so it didn't get caught on anything. Once inside she would look around, keeping her hand to the wound until it healed enough for her liking. At which point she would remove it and go to help Harumi if she needed it.[/legend]
