Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

CRPJ's Effect: A skill developed during her membership as KSIS and ANBU, "Echo of the Winter Wind" enhances the senses of the shinobi activating it. They may either decide to greatly enhance a single one of the five basic senses (almost tunnel-vision like) or stimulate all senses at the same time to achieve hypersensitivity. The purpose of this technique obviously serves in espionage, tracking and certain forms of recognition.
Example RP of how it will be used:
- Enhanced Hearing: hidden in the shadows of the rafters above, sitting at several meters above a couple of shady people talking with hushed voices, "Echo of the Winter Wind" allows Asami to fine-tune her hearing. In doing so, her greatly enhanced sound reception allows her to hear the hushed tone as if she was standing right next to them.
- Enhanced Smell: tracking down a rather fast-running bandit with a sense of survival, "Echo of the Winter Wind" would raise Asami's sense of smell to that of a blood hound, allowing her to pick up his trail much easier and proceed her chase even while he's out of sight or hearing distance.
Reason why it cannot be used in battle: Neither tunnel vision or hypersensitivity are great for battle situations. The first one may well put the user in danger as they focus on only one of the five senses and thus limit or almost shut down the other four, while hypersensitivity would make them extremely susceptible to distractions and enhanced registration of inflicted pain.

CRPJ's Effect: An enhanced version of the ANBU's Mental Infiltration combined with the Seikon's temporal abilities, "Beyond Twilight's Curtain" allows Asami to make contact with an object of her choosing and relive the last, most intense moments it has experienced. The information gleaned from this could provide additional insight into a situation or give her extra clues to bring investigations to a success.
Example RP of how it will be used: A murder. A knife still lies next to the corpse. Body cold, blood dried up, the incident happened quite a while ago. Obviously, the murderer is long since gone, all chances to trail him lost. Picking up the knife and applying "Beyond Twilight's Curtain", Asami relives the last intense moments in which the knife was used - the murder itself. A male hand was holding it, nervous and sweating, no gloves. A piece of blue fabric betrays the colour of his thick vest. This murder was a brutal display of ability to prove something to someone else - an admition test for a gang? The knife hit the victim in the back, never expecting the attack. Someone the male knew.
Reason why it cannot be used in battle: this CRPJ takes a lot of concentration in the first place, and temporarily renders the user vulnerable as their mind's eye is being pulled within the stream of time.

An important phrase for every shinobi to remind, and certainly so for those who need to deal with the stress of remaining hidden and the strain of chasing criminals. Through rigorous training the body becomes fit, but it helps to be a Seikon to some extend. The bloodline passively warping time to hasten the body's recovery or returning to a minute point where it was slightly healthier than in the present.

Honestly, don't let the Seikon fool you with their paradoxical stories though, the truth behind Asami's improved recovery is simply being a healthy girl - sport, practise, but never straining the muscles. A healthy diet, sufficient rest. Fighting hard is a must, her body conditioned to an almost permanent state of readiness, but she would not say no against a good massage or a day at the spa. The same goes for the mind. A studious attitude and persevering vigilance keeps the mind sharp. As an ANBU and KSIS member, Asami can't allow her mental power to dull. While moments of meditation in total quietude gives her the mental rest she needs, so too does solving crossword puzzles, a relaxing walk in the park or a good cup of tea while enjoying the crowd. Anything that brings peace of mind will eventually allow her mind to the middle ground between quick wit and level-headed assessment.

In the end, anyone, even non-chakra users, can achieve this heightened state of restoration if they are willing to take good care of their health.

Being an ANBU comes with its perks but also with its expectations. Catching an enemy as you run and jump from roof to roof, dash across the walls and jump through closed doors and windows alike in an attempt to take a 'shortcut' chasing that criminal is not for everyone. For someone with a deep love for the bandit-like weasels, or rather, the arctic ermine, that approach is just fine. Asami has no problems sprinting through streets, using her techniques to track her opponents and make use of every moment as potential to yet catch her opponent. And let it be so that the girl is a Seikon to boot, having time at her side - pun intended.

Her training and experience as ANBU has pushed her body beyond the average of shinobi when it comes to athletic grace. It's not just a matter of point to point speed. The continued dashing over roofs, climbing ladders, flipping over obstacles while at the same time dealing with unexpected obstacles such as people appearing, falling crates and tumbling fruit or miscalculated distances and unexpected attacks from the criminal's allies eventually paid off. Avoiding obstacles and attacks is second nature to the girl. The way she's able to twist her body out of harm's way often made onlookers believe she was born with cat genes. And yet, the truth is different, Asami's favourite animal being the ever playful weasel - a hunter as vicious as it looks adorable.
