Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Any Relevant information that can aid us in finding your information I joined in 2006 as a Sand member in V4 under this name (Takahashi Shiori), I persisted for a few years. I quit from a Head Administrator Position for various reasons when we were working on a secondary site in addition to NC for security reasons. I rejoined a year later and played for a year before I finally quit. I was also a B-mod, village admin, and Sand Council member at various points. I was briefly a cloud person as well with the given name "Temari," I cannot recall her surname.

Family: She is the oldest of three. She has a younger sister
Chizuka and a younger brother Eisuke. It has always been hard on
Shiori, being the oldest she has always had to be strong for her younger
siblings. Both of her parents are very much alive. Her mother's name is
Nagomi; a quiet woman whom loves to read. Nagomi is a wealth of
knowledge and expects her children to be nothing more than brilliant.
Her father's name is Jinsei; he is a strong man whom find's physical
strength and great fighting abilities to be the main assets necessary to
maintain family honor.
Family NPC:

Chizuka

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f203/bladerun/chizuka.jpg

Shiori’s younger sister and Eisuke’s twin sister
Age: 7
Personality: Chizuka is a hyper-active demon spawn with an adorable little face. She may look cute, but she is an angel with devil’s horns. As long as she gets her way she is cute, but when she does not-”look out! She is a genius, she can usually find a clever way to get what she wants. Nagomi and Jinsei (her parents) think she is perfect, she is capable to pulling off the greatest -perfect child- act ever.
Appearance: She has teal colored eyes and has medium brown shoulder length hair that she usually wear up in a high ponytail with a bright colorful bow. She has a fair complexion like Shiori and her mother Nagomi. Her outfits change daily, but they are usually brightly colored and not as traditional as the garb that Shiori tends to wear.
*** Her words are written in VIOLET ***

Eisuke

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f203/bladerun/eisuke1.jpg

Shiori’s younger brother and Chizuka’s twin brother
Age: 7
Personality: He is a cute kid and pretty smart too. It is almost annoying how smart he is. He is only 5 minutes older than his sister (Chizuka), but he acts like it is a year, he protects her with everything he has. Although Chizuka may be annoying to some, she had always been good to Eisuke-”it is rare to ever see them apart. Eisuke usually finds himself involved in Chizuka’s devious plans. He gets a great deal of attention from his father (Jinsei) because he is the only male in the family, making Shiori very jealous of him. He has never really had to try very hard, everything seemed to fall right in his lap perfectly.
Appearance: He is a handsome young boy whom usually wears a carefree happy face. His brow-length brown messy hair and bright blue eyes complement each other well. He knows he’s cute and he uses it to his advantage.
*** His words are written in GREEN ***

Likes: She likes butterflies, snowballs, and rain showers-- too bad
most of these things can not often be found in Sand Country. She also
likes most people around her and always tries to find the best in people
(sometimes that is her greatest asset and other times it is her greatest
weakness). She has an overwhelming desire to make her family proud
and to bring honor to her family. Her greatest goal is to gain her father's
praise. Unfortunately, being so young she often finds herself goofing off
instead of training.

Dislikes: Mean people whom like to cause pain to others. The only
thing she can not stand more is when a good person stands by and lets
someone else get hurt while they do nothing. She also can not stand
quitters or complainers. Natto, being the most disgusting food in the
universe, at least in her opinion is also on her "dislike" list. Also has a
dislike for squirrels.

Home: She lives on the badland boarder. The badland's reputation
for having a surplus of bandits, looters and wild animals was certainly not
an exaggeration. Although her home-life may be quiet and peaceful, a
harsh environment waits for her just outside her front door. Perhaps
seeing some of the atrocities of the badlands had some impact on her
idealistic thinking.

As she has gotten older, she has come to appreciate the scenic beauty the
badlands have to offer. She can be seen oftentimes laying under a white
saksaul tree reading a book or just enjoying the view. She has no neibors
so the view is unobscurred by dwellings, simply gently rolling dunes of
sand.

Her home is simple. With no running water or electricity, it is like camping
every day of the year by most people's standards. No water or electrical
lines run that far into the wilderness, so her home depends solely on oil
and wood for warmth, light and cooking. A well near her home is the sole
source of water. It is a neat and clean abode with a few eccenticites to it
thanks to her mother's superstitions, but no real frills of any kind-- just a
nice simple existance.

Personality: She is very nice and desires to make everyone
happy. She is constantly being taunted by her own mind telling her that
she is not good enough, not smart enough, not pretty enough. It makes
her work harder. She also likes to goof off, but she often finds that she
causes herself to work harder in the end. She has a very playful
personality, mischievous at times even-- but relatively harmless. she also
loves to make new friends and usually attempts to find an excuse to
introduce herself to just about everyone in the room. Once she makes a
new friend she is often eager to introduce her new friend to the other
friends that she has made, she has yet to find herself annoyed by a
surplus of friends.

Appearance: She is quite short, but is confident she'll have a
growth-spurt soon. Her hair is really long and dark brown nearly black, it
falls down to about her knees when it is not tied up. She usually wears
her hair up so it does not get in the way. She wears very traditional garb,
such as a white cotton kimono and crimson red hakama (samurai pants)
with a matching thin red obi. She also wears a pair of white tabi boots
covered by a pair of straw Tatami sandals. She finds the traditional garb
quite comfortable and easy to train in. She started wearing a bathing suit
under her clothes in case she decides to take an unexpected swim after
taking one in the middle of class one day. It is rare, but she will
occassionally wear less traditional and more "normal" appearing garb as of
late since her more traditional garb tends be be a little too warm when she
is training.

Story: Because of the harsh environment that surrounded her
home, she has an intense desire to make the world a better place and to
harshly punish people whom cause others pain. She grew up the eldest
daughter in a fairly poor family in the badlands. Her parents were both
retired shinobi whom decided to spend the rest of their days as peacefull
as possible out in the badlands becuase of the apparent lack of neighbors.

She joined the academy after overhearing her father mention how he
wished he had a son who would one day become a great ANBU leader.
Many times she has overheard her father mention how he wished that his
first born was a boy, although she was never told it directly she would
sometimes hear him whisper it behind closed doors. She desires nothing
more than to have her father acknowledge her. She is a bit jealous of her
younger brother for having such favor with her father.

Over time she began to have dreams of her own as well, she has secretly
hated the idea of being a "weapon." Due to her intense desire to help
others, she secretly dreams of being a med nin so she could heal injuries
rather than inflict them. Her desire to please her father is intense
eventually a decison will have to be made.

She graduated from the academy, now age 1o years she is one step closer to making her father proud.

Currently: Babylos Stage 2, Level 1 Team 4; Mission in the Bazaar; Solo training thread until Shiori & Kidate's Combined Training resumes; In Oasis Topic with several Academy students.

Hobbies: Fighting, training, and of course goofing off.

Name: Kana (assumed named); recalled by most people who knew her in her youth as "Akane," actual name is Akanesawa Kana (assumed dead according to old records).

Core Ability: Spiritualist

Science has become the new God for some and it has for Akane as well. In the past her ancestors used to credit the Gods for the blessings that these powers gave, but over time the spiritual and religious nature of this innate ability fell away as logic took priority. There appears to be disconnect between logic and practice but regardless of the core belief the use of these powers has never changed. The devout claim that it is because of divine intervention that these powers continue to exist in the first place. That is is because of righteous use that these abilities continue and that if these blessed hands meant to heal were sent off to destroy that their powers would be forever lost. Critics have countered this argument many times, but the core genesis of power was never questioned by Akane.

Her parents were both powerful medic nins and her entire youth was spent following in their footsteps. Her youthful education was a mixture of technique and religious theory. Her present skills as a Spiritualist could be the reflection of a forgotten bloodline or they could be the result of years of training, Akane would like to think of it as a little bit of both but as time as gone on she does feel that nature might be greater than nurture in theory.

Rank: Jounin-level Medic

Her father, Akanesawa Jin was also a medic, the former Medic Captain in fact. Her mother, Akanesawa Naomi was also a Medic, she did both research and education depending on the point of her career. It seemed only fitting that she would follow in her parent’s footsteps one day. She graduated from the Academy and steadily rose through the shinobi ranks as both a member of the military as well as a medical professional. She was a former researcher in the North Country at the border of Fire and Wind and eventually took part in Suna based research in the Sanitarium. She was then labeled as "dead" after a lengthy coma allegedly caused by an explosion in her laboratory.

The person we know today as Tamasawa Kana (meaning Soul Swamp Mirror) is merely a reflection of the woman she once was. She maintained her medical skill and abilities but the years had changed her to the point where she is unrecognizable. She barely resembles the woman she once was physically and mentally she has also been altered. Despite the more sinister nature the Spiritualist has taken on over the years, her nature and her life's events conflict. Her hands are meant to heal but her heart has been wounded. Regardless of her inner turmoil, publicly she is a capable and a strong medic with alleged "innate skills" from a fabled bloodline she claims to have that grants her these "powers." She was accepted into the medic ranks on the merit of her skill. (Refer to bio for a longer explanation)

Age: 49, claims to be 27
Gender: Female

Physical Description

Long red hair and a pale complexion, she is naturally pretty and has maintained her youthful appearance well partly thanks to her medical skill. She has traces of scars on her arms and legs as well as a minor difference in the skin color and texture that is only notable if someone was to look for it. At the point where the two separate hued fleshes mingle, there is a circumferential tattoo that seems to obscure the appearance of the mingled flesh. Most of her torso is covered in these colorless runic tattoos. Due to this she often wears very conservative clothing to mask these markings in case they are recognized and her secrets are made known.

Her eyes are large and bright, depending on the lighting they seem to vary from gold to rust. She rarely wears make-up despite her age, although her vanity prevents her from allowing flaws she hates the feeling of items on her face.

Mental Description

By nature she is a healer that has difficulty harming anyone. She is in love with her estranged husband, Doctor Sato, but she will have nothing to do with him due to the taboos he has broken. Her years in a coma have driven her somewhat mad, but she does not have an issue with violence or random excessive personalities, she has rather a reactive attachment disorder where she feels abandoned regardless of how close those around her are. She deeply desires love and acceptance but she has a difficult time accepting herself the way she is because she has become a different woman both physically and mentally due to life circumstances.

She hates sleeping and as such has become an insomniac, she believes that she has already slept enough for an entire lifetime. She does not like to see others sleeping as well, she calls it a "waste of time" and will often wake sleeping people up in abrupt manners claiming that she needed to awaken them for [insert random reason]. This is one of her quirks, she has several others as well: love for music, fear of hospitals (despite the fact that she works in one), and extreme modesty.

She has a deep hatred for Takahashi Shiori and all of her relations. She also has a deep hate for Kazekage Nori and his legacy, something that she plans to one day destroy once she gains the strength needed.

Character History:

Born Akanesawa Kana, “Akane” was a nickname she had picked up from her father as a child. Her red hair and eyes made her stand out even in family gatherings because her family had darker skin and hair for the most part. They say she got her hair from her mother’s side, not that she ever really knew her mother Akanesawa Naomi all that well. Her mother was not tragically murdered nor did she die in childbirth, rather she was a dutiful medic often away on a mission or working late. Any distant relations known as a child were minimal and interactions were sporadic at best. He father, Akanesawa Jin was also a medic, the former Medic Captain in fact. It seemed only fitting that she would follow in her parent’s footsteps one day.

She entered the Suna Shinobi Academy at the age of ten, as many prepped Sunans do. She did well, something that was to be expected. Two years later she graduated from the Academy with honors and she was almost immediately transferred to the MiT program that was at the time run by her mother. It was rumored that Kana had some “extra” assistance that allowed her this immediate specialization over apparently better prepared or higher scoring graduates. There was truth to this rumor but there was never any documented proof. Due to her connections she was allowed entry into the medic Program over others - it was a minor scuff mark among the many in the annals of medic history for Sunagakure and the rumor was forgotten after several months.

Among her MiT classmates was her future husband Sato Masuyo. He was a scrappy young boy, a few years younger than herself and a rumored child prodigy. It was said that he already graduated a prep school for science before coming to Sunagakure and that he came from a wealthy family. He excelled in the academic environment despite the fact that he was one of the youngest people in the program. They became childhood friends. They both became Chuunin-level Medics after one year in the MiT Academy and both were granted the right to participate in Cell Missions as the primary healer.

Akane and Masuyo both settled for a medical research team that frequented Northern Wind Country, their job was to study vegetation and to take samples back to Sunagakure for further research and cultivation. The job was low risk and low fiscal reward but it gave them an experience that would shape their future studies. They were exposed to plant types that many of the scientists in Sunagakure or Wind Country for that matter that never seen before and this gave them an advantage in the scientific community later on in life.

They returned to Sand two years later to take their Jounin Exam, their research group was being disbanded due to the war effort. They had left as children but they returned as adults and in their two years together researching in the wilderness they had fallen in love. At the age of 15, Akane became a Jounin-ranked medic and the Waterfall War had begun. Their exam was one of the early battle grounds of the war and a shaping event in their lives.
It was a cool day in Sunagakure considering the season, it was mid day and the temperature had not risen into the three-digits yet. The tall adobe walls of the examination grounds cast a massive shadow over the area, even in the hottest parts of the day this area was rather comfortable even for a foreigner. Vegetation grew naturally here because of the setting, it was actually among the favorite places for higher-ranking shinobis to visit to escape the heat. The tall grass and the short trees were a great escape from the desert world they were accustomed to.

Their proctor was an old Medic, Kamihashi Goro, an interrogation specialist that used his advanced understanding of the human anatomy to liberate information from victims. He was a scary man from reputation alone but he was also highly respected among his peers and his subordinates. “Alright, has everyone arrived?” Kamihashi called out through cupped hands in case there was a straggler lagging behind as a small group of young men and women lined up before him. “This is your only chance to leave,” he announced simply. He was a psychological man by nature and it was his job to place doubt into the hearts and minds of those gathered to determine their strength of will as that was his way of assessing readiness for such a leadership position as that of Jounin.

“HAI!” The several Chuunin-ranked medics yelled out in unison.

“I know that you want to become Jounins and that some of you think that you are good enough to take this exam,” he paced in front of the small gathering as he spoke. “But this exam will not be like the other exams you have taken… this exam might cost you all your lives… You must follow my directions exactly, failure to comply will result in your failure.” It was a stereotypical series of announcement that most of them have heard at one time or another, the examinees stood there motionless and soundless awaiting their orders.

Just as he finished that phrase a sudden loud noise erupted from the far wall. It rumbled and the ground began to shudder. A noticeable crack formed along the face of the wall and hunks of adobe started to break away. “Good timing,” one of the examinees coughed into their sleeve.

“Huh?” The proctor spun on his heels and gawked at the destruction before him. “Everyone stay here, I will handle this,” he announced as he sprung ahead.

“Talk about dramatic timing.”

“Jeeze, even my Genin exam was more subtle than this one.”

“Pffft, who cares. The exam is already underway. Who thinks we are supposed to follow him?”

“Dunno, what do you guys think.”

“Don’t ask me, ask the tall guy over there… this is like the third time he has taken this exam,”
a young girl declared as she pointed at a quiet, dark-skinned man. Her shrugged his shoulders but did not say a word.

“Is that true?” a flaxen-headed young man asked. “Well, what are we supposed to do?” The quiet man shrugged his shoulders again before he pulled a wooden toothpick from his pocket and placed it between his teeth.

“Answer us dammit!” another one of the test takers snapped.

“This exam was pretty much like all of the others I have tried up until the moment that wall started to collapse… I have not seen anything like this before.” He commented.

“I have a bad feeling about this,” Akane muttered lowly.

“I am going to see what happened,” Sato announced.

“No, don’t do it man… we were ordered to stay here. Didn’t you hear him when he said that he would fail you if you did not listen to him. I bet it is a trick,” one of the test takers warned.

“Don’t really care,” Sato answered. “The test theory is flawed if he wishes that we stay back while one enters into an unknown and potentially dangerous situation. A weak, lower level person might be expected to keep back because he would be nothing more than a hindrance… but at this point in our careers we are supposed to be among the top of the food chain. Sitting back now while a lone person goes into danger sounds like an auto-fail to me.” Sato explained with a half-grin.

“You’re nuts man.”

“Enjoy another year as a Chuunin,” a second snickered as Sato began to walk away.

“WAIT!” Akane shouted at Sato’s back. “Wait for me!” She dashed after him, “I am coming too!”

“What made you come?” Sato asked as they dashed off together in the direction their proctor had gone.

“Because you are smarter than everyone else here,” Akane answered with a grin. “May as well cheat by peeking at the smartest person in the room’s paper. Buuut, this does not change the fact that I have a bad feeling about this,” she added.

“Right you are,” the less than humble man responded to her reference to his intellect. “But of course it is rather obvious that we are about to enter a ‘dangerous situation’ in a moment as your ’feelings’ suggest, so we should take precautions since we should get the jump on whoever is here.” Sato began to plan out loud as they dashed to the site of the broken wall.

Akane stopped before Sato had and crouched behind a pile of rubble. “Sato… something is not right,” she whispered. “It feels as if there is something wrong,” Akane repeated. She felt uneasy, as if the pit of her stomach was trying to call out a warning that she could not quite understand.

“It is what he wants us to think,” Sato shrugged as he crouched behind a boulder closer to the broken wall. He peered through the fractured wall to see what was on the other side. Their proctor was there as expected but he was face down on the ground and unmoving in a pool of blood. “This is really something else Akane… they are really going all out,” he whispered just loud enough for her to hear as he beckoned her to come to his side.

Akane crawled over to Sato’s side and rested against him. He pointed over the stone at the crack in the wall, their proctor was on the ground motionless. “Oh Gawd,” Akane cupped her own hand over her own mouth. “Is he alright?” She whispered in a partial panic.

“Probably” Sato answered simply. “It was likely a part of the plan, to see who would respond to a medical emergency,” he hypothesized. “Akane,” he sighed. “Do you wanna heal him or do you want me to… I’ll cover you from whatever they will throw at you,” Sato’s voice seemed almost disappointed and bored as he started to devise a plan.

“I’ll heal him I guess,” Akane responded with an uneasy and slightly confused voice. What Sato said made perfect sense considering the fact that they are in a testing scenario and that his mind had already formulated a logical sequence for progression that this situation fit into perfectly, she could not shake the feeling in her gut that something was wrong. She stood up and then carefully peeked to the left and then to the right, she craned her neck as if she could contort herself enough she would be capable of catching the likely assault that would follow the moment she reached their proctor’s side. Nobody was in the immediate area that she could see or feel it was even more unsettling to her. She scurried over to the proctor’s side and lifted her arm defensively as she expected someone to come from somewhere to assault her. She rolled over the fallen proctor to discover his grave wounds and the fact that they were REAL. “Sssaaaattttooo…” Akane’s voice shook as she called out to him. “He-he-he’s dead,” she stammered as she released their bloodied proctor. His body was badly beaten and slashed but it did not appear that he had been dead for very long.

“Akane, get out of there!”</B><i></i> Sato snapped. Something was wrong, very-very-very wrong. Akane did not move, she just stared at her hands. She had seen her share of death, but it was a different kind of death. Less brutal and more expected, that was the kind of death you saw in the Sanatorium. There would be the unexpected death or the youthful waste of life and even the rare sudden loss of life or function, but this kind of death was different. It carried with it a primal fear. “AKANE,”<i></i> Sato repeated through gritted teeth as he exposed himself by running at her and taking her by her stained hand. “GET DOWN,” he ordered sternly.

“H-he’s dead… DEAD,” she murmured. “I thought this was supposed to be a test,” she muttered. “You said this was an exam,” her voice filled with an accusing tone. “He’s DEAD!” she snapped.

“Yes, yes he is very much dead and so will we if we make any noise,” Sato responded with an annoyed tone. Now was not the time to argue nor was it a time to listen to Akane nag him about something little like a dead proctor. There were things of greater concern here, like the fact that he was actually wrong. “Can’t believe that I did not see that coming,”<i></i> he tsked himself. “We need to get back to the others and warn them that something is wrong, it is too late for him…” He kept on holding her hand and gave it a gentle tug. “We’ll go back, ‘kay?”

Akane nodded, her eyes wide and her expression resembled that of a scared child. “…okay” she replied hesitantly.

Together they dashed back to where they had left their comrades. The moved as fast as Sato and Akane’s feet could take them but they arrived moments too late. As they crested the hill before the place they recently stood they watched as their peers were executed one by one by several masked men. They wore the symbol of Leaf on their robes and on top of one of the bodies they placed a Leaf Headband. “O~” Akane started to say something but Sato’s hand stopped her from calling attention to them as he pulled her down into the tall grass. With his free hand he put his pointer finger before his mouth and took a hushing pose. They were not enough to take on what a small group and what their proctor could not take on. Sato was one for calculated risks although he was fueled by emotions at times he also knew how to stay alive.

The assassins departed after they executed the final test taker. Akane and Sato were the sole survivors of the exam and both were promoted primarily on the merit of surviving. Although neither knew it at the time, it was not Leaf that attacked Sand in this unfortunate moment but rather Waterfall ninjas disguised as such to cause tensions between the great nations. It would be the first of many manipulative moved by Waterfall to create the eventual world war that all the nations would experience. As for why then, the reasoning was simple: sign-ups were not kept in confidence and it was easy to gauge the power and ability when one knows how many of what would be where. Also considering the fact that although some Medics have battle skill, their skill in battle often pales to that of a pure combat or an ANBU-type shinobi. They were easy targets with enough power that their loss would be felt and it of course was.

The world fell into a war shortly after Akane and Sato became Jounin-ranked Medics. At the age of 16 they both wed out of fear that the other would be lost in the war. They were separated shortly after marriage. Akane was assigned to catalog and research the plant specimens that they discovered and to find military uses for any compounds derived while Sato was placed on a mobile surgical unit with a new compound that he had discovered that assisted in anesthesia. It was here that Sato developed his surgical skill and it was here that Akane mastered her potions. Due to Akane’s skill with potions and her special understanding of distant and in some cases rare plants, Kazekage Nori tasked Akane with something nobody in Sunagakure had been tasked with before: creating an elixir that would grant immortality.

Akane’s participation in the research in the north was not forgotten and it was Nori’s hope that something new could be created from the now fully mature plants that were nothing more than samples a few years earlier. It was not a secret ambition of Nori’s to gain eternal life and some of the samples Akane had recovered in the north had some promise. Akane was sent to work on this project as well as a secondary project to create the “ultimate soldier.” These lofty goals might have seemed impossible to some and perhaps it should have been, but a mixture of luck and ambition made this endeavor possible.

Kazekage Nori was a powerful and a ruthless leader that pushed Sunagakure from one victory to another but he was also human and his mortality limited him. Eventually he would fall in battle or due to a successful attempt on his life, disposable men and women had limitations and becoming a puppet like his sister had was not an option for the prideful and charismatic man. Akane dutifully initiated her research while her husband took to the front lines as a surgeon.

Akane went to work as ordered and started to compile files and notes on their plant specimens before she started to research. Everything was carefully coded, part of her feared that her files would be someday stolen by an overly zealous college or by a foreign rival. It was a constant state of fear that she constantly suffered in silently. She did not trust the Kazekage either, he was a ruthless and cold man that wielded great political and physical power and he utilized both when the need arose. She could have run away… but she was afraid. She could have denied Nori’s request… but she was afraid. She was afraid to do and she was afraid to not. It was during one of her husband’s brief periods of leave that her world would finally end.
“Sato, dear!”</COLOR><i></i> A warm voice called out from behind a closed steel door.

“What is it Akane?” A slender, tall man called back as he pushed open the door and waddled into the laboratory burdened by a tower of boxes.

“Oh, you found them!” Akane squealed with glee. She was excited but nobody could blame her. She had waited for this equipment for several months, spending cuts limited her research funds greatly. “Put them over there hun,” she pointed at a nearby stainless steel counter hidden by a pile of unorganized papers.

“On top of the papers?” Sato called back as he grunted and wobbled under the weight of his load. He did not wait for an answer because his fingers would surely fall off if he held onto those boxes any longer so he release the boxes as gently as one cold whilst still allowing his fingers time to adequately escape the gravitational wrath of the boxes.

“Thankies,” Akane blew Sato a kiss that Sato promptly grabbed from the air and placed in his pocket.

“I’ll save that one for later,” he grinned as he patted his breast pocket.

“Good idea, because it looks like I will be pulling another all-nighter again,”<i></i> she frowned as she lifted a beaker from the table she was standing next to. Apparently there was a crack in the glass along the base. She discarded the useless article into a nearby trash container with an effortless toss as she sighed.

“Not again… I am sure you can save some of that effort for me…”<i></i> Sato pouted. He was not on leave often and it had been several weeks since they had been together but she was a workaholic, one of her better as well as more vexing qualities.

“No… you know I have work to do.” Akane mirrored her lover’s pout.

“I have a special technique I need to show you though…” Sato announced with a pseudo serious tone that was a blatant lie as his sly smirk would suggest.

“Oh really now?” Akane raised her crimson arched brow.

“Yes,” he announced as he placed himself in a fighter’s pose. “Huggle –no –jutsu!”<i></i> He laughed as he attempted to tackle her to the floor, but he was certainly a lover more than a fighter as she maintained her balance and he simply took a childish pose about her waist.

“Mmmm… Sato-kun, you make it so hard to get any work done,” Akane giggled as she wiggled free of her partner’s grasp and feigned another pout.

“All work and no play makes Akane-chan a very… very dull girl,” he replied with a low somewhat erotic growl and a devilish look in his eyes.

The young woman granted the sly man an innocent peck on the cheek before shaking herself free and turning back to the task at hand: filling out a steno notebook filled with mathematical equations and tiny make-shift charts coded in a way only the woman would understand. Perhaps she could make some time, it was not often that he spent time home on leave but she needed to finish. She was scared of Nori that fact never changed and soon her product would be ready and she would either have to give what she made to Nori or somehow protect the world from what she had made. She did not look foreword making this choice but the sooner the elixir is done, the longer she would have the completed product in her possession before she made her ultimate choice.

She had already begun to formulate a plan: the potion was not an elixir of eternal life but rather an elixir that could return the dead to the world of the living. It would not provide the youth that Nori desired but it would maintain vitality among his soldiers providing a near unstoppable army, yet this power came at a terrible cost that Nori’s men would have to pay. This potion was getting close to what Nori desired already and if he knew of this elixir’s potential military applications now, it would already be out of her grasp. She had been wrestling with the concept for some time, the concept of defecting. She would not pull her husband into this although she would miss him, hopefully he would understand. She would have to make a choice between herself and her morals. Sometimes abandonment is the only thing a good person can do.

Sato leaned onto her shoulder while she attempted to scribble down another series of notes and breathed into her ear for a trio of breaths before complaining once again. “Why are you helping that b******* Kage out when you know what he will do with it.”

Her eyes opened wide with his statement, he had never talked like that about him before. She hushed him sternly before she nuzzled her lover and announced in a gentle coo. “What else is there to do, he ordered the research and as the Captain I am still bound to a few… him being one. Besides, the potential this potion caries is more good than bad, eternal life… eternal youth… it sounds so exciting really.”<i></i> She voice reduced to a whisper as a shiver ran through her, it was a sense that something was terribly wrong here but she could not put her finger on what. Was it the lies she had just uttered because she knew all too well that the walls had ears? A traitorous word would likely send the both of them to the gallows but something in the pit of her gut suggested that there was something more.

“What is all this gibberish you are writing here anyways… I cannot understand a thing,”<i></i> Sato whined as he leaned closer to the notes in her lap before sneaking a sly hug. “I love ya woman, but you are certifiably nuts,”<i></i> he mused out loud before recoiling in case of a swift slap to the face.

She furrowed her brow at the fact that he pulled away so quickly, he almost always held her tight whenever given the chance. “Heh, Just jealous that I’m getting Captain before you,” she teased as she looked away from her notes for a moment and looked back at him.

“You know you do not have to do this… we could run away…”<i></i> he finally announced as he moved closer to her hear and whispered into her ear. “Run away together,” he rubbed the side of his face against hers upon the completion of his traitorous statement. <COLOR color="blue">“You are pretty much all done with that aren’t you?”

How she desired the life of a normal woman yet this was all she knew and she had the potential to do so much for the world if she would only stay in Sunagakure. “I-I am pretty much done with my research, I only have a little more to do before we go”<i></i> she stammered back in turn., her head shook back and forth. “You should not be saying this kind of stuff here, who knows how much of that was overheard” she scolded as she looked away from him. He was right and she knew it but she could not say anything, at least not now. She was happy that he felt the same way she did, he was one of the only reasons she was still in Sand, although a coward on her own, as long as she was with him… she could do anything.

His grip tightened about her as he added a final statement, “…imagine the world with an immortal Nori.”<i></i> That was all he would have to say and he knew it, the man was a genius but also a man of terrible potential. She took in a deep unsteady breath at the validity of his words it rang true within her-- an eternal Nori was a petrifying thought.

She nodded her head before taking a defeated posture in his arms. “I know, but I am almost done…”<i></i> she whispered back. “I have no intention of making Hyuuga Nori an immortal,”<i></i> she announced. She shown him the paper she held in her hand, the logic was too complex for even Sato to comprehend although he attempted to decipher what was writ. “I should be done by the day’s end… after I finish I will—“<i></i> she did not need to say anymore as he drew close and stole a passionate kiss. She broke away from him and frowned. Something was wrong with Sato today, but she could not determine what. He was always touchy feely and extremely affectionate, but there was something different about him today. Whatever sense she had, be it a sixth sense or woman’s intuition screamed out.

“You’re not going to give him the potion?”<i></i> Sato asked.

Akane shook her head.

“How are you going to prevent him from getting his hands on it?”<i></i> Sato asked.

“I love you hun, I will finish up early and be home before nightfall… I promise.” She announced as she changed the subject, this was not a place to talk about treason or betrayal. Her senses were screaming at her, someone might have overheard and if so they ran the risk of suffering Nori’s wrath.

Sato’s expression brightened. “Great! I’ll light some candles and get a –“<i></i>

“No, I was thinking… maybe a weekend away would do us some good,” Akane gave Sato a somewhat troubled expression that she attempted to hide with a faint smile. “It is not often that my husband is home on leave.”<i></i> She was much more careful than her husband and even in private she would carefully filter her words. She believed fully in the Hyuuga’s ability to “know” all. Sato’s words were that of treason and she would not be surprised that Nori had not overheard at least a portion of their conversation. She intended to run away tonight. She would destroy all evidence of her research, her brain the safest lockbox in the world. Hopefully her husband would read between the lines and start packing and perhaps even acquire a passport before she got home. She would have to hurry.

“Of course,” Sato responded with a smile.

<B>“Well, hurry along and start packing,”<i></i> her voice took on a motherly tone as she almost shooed him off. “The sooner you get going, the sooner I can get home.”<i></i>

Without another word Sato ran through the double door, his face impacted the cold steel before his hands had with a sharp thud.

Akane cocked her head at the sight, “Hun… pull the handle in.” She shook her head, he was really off today, although who would not be a bit off after the conversation that they both just had. Running away was an awfully big step.

This would be the day Akane betrayed Sunagakure, but there would be no record of her treason because she would never be capable of acting it out. The research had been for the most part completed, it was in fact possible to do… but when it comes to extending life through such unnatural means, it comes at a terrible price and even without such a price, terrible people should never get their hands on what she had discovered. The testing phase had proven that, human testing had started the day previous and once these tests were complete, it would be potentially available for mass use. That could not happen. It would not allow someone to “live” but rather “exist.” There is a point where existence is not worth it, this potion found that point.

Somehow Nori caught wind of the plan, just as Akane had feared. Nori knew what she had planned before the plan was fully formed in her mind it would seem. Her plan was simple: Sato and herself would obtain a passport that evening for an extended weekend along the coast. A mixture of work and pleasure since she would claim that she needed some herbal specimens from the coast and that she was taking her husband along for some quality time. All of her research materials would be left behind, a few numbers replaced with random new ones so that all of her materials would be useless to anyone that possessed the understanding to even decipher what she had even writ. She would move north with Sato rather than east, perhaps they would find refuge in Rain Country with the war-torn people and hide within the migrating masses. They were familiar with the area due to their experiences as novice field medics so it would be a fitting place for them to hide.

Everything was done, the final piece of research was falsified and it started to rain. The gentle patter quickly turned into a downpour, a rather unusual phenomena for the desert. Even the world knew that something was dramatically wrong. She took a shot of the vodka she hid in one of her drawers for liquid courage that turned to several more. It was a partial celebration – anticipation of their future freedom as well as the completion of her research although it would sadly never be used. Her heart was pounding within her chest, giddy-drunk with excitement, her research was completed and somehow she would one day change the world for the better. Resurrection in some cases might be a benefit for mankind, but not in the state that they would be left in. She would not participate in the creation of immortal monsters.

There was a rapping at her lab door.

Her heart jumped in her chest. “Sato-kun…?” her feminine voice shook as she called out. As she opened the heavy metallic laboratory door she was sent tumbling back by the force of the blast. She never knew what hit her until it was too late. Pyrotechnics expert Takeshi Ryuusuke affiliated with Kazekage Nori in manners known only to himself and Nori stood on the other side of the pair of steel doors. She never stood a chance; he incinerated her office in a single sweeping attack.

The woman burst through the glass window to her back and she was hurled to the earth three stories below due to the immense pressure of the blast. Through the flames she could see a face, it was a face she knew well: Sato. Her steno notebook still held within her fragile grasp as the rains poured down upon her motionless body, her end was not gracious as her head had violently struck the ground and cracked open. Over 70% of her body was burned and her skull was severely fractured. The gray matter was damaged and Akane was apparently pulled into a deep coma. It was not brain death, because there was still neural activity according to the first responders to the scene of the “accident” but in most senses she was dead to the world. Kazekage Nori claimed that the resulting injury that put her into a coma would be irreversible.

It was not Sato that had attacked her it was Takeshi Ryuusuke. It was not Sato who visited her earlier in the lab that was also Takeshi Ryuusuke. Sato was at home, asleep. Kazekage Hyuuga Nori did this on occasion: assess his men to determine their loyalty. She had trusted her husband too much. She was too open with him and now it would cost her greatly.

While working on a secret project for the Kazekage she was caught in an explosion that launched her out of a third story window and placed her in a deep coma. All of her research materials were destroyed in the blast except for a steno notebook that was still in her hand. Although it was glaringly obvious to those that truly knew the Kazekage that Akane’s “accident” had assistance, nobody spoke out against the powerful man for fear that they too would share her fate. She had apparently fell into a deep coma and she was placed on a long-term ward in the Sanitarium.

Her notebook, a forgery as other researchers would eventually discover as some attempted to follow in her footsteps. Sato had been summoned to the Kazekage’s office to shed light onto her research but he was unable to provide anything, she kept her finding secret from even him. He thought that her elixir was for eternal youth. He knew none of the details of her research or if she ever had done any research on creating a “super soldier” as he heard one of Nori’s advisors hint but part of him assumed that whatever she had made could likely do a little bit of both. His lack of understanding was assumed to be a lie and he was detained and forced to take ANBU Truth Serum that only proved the point that he knew nothing of her research beyond the bare concept that was public Intel.

It was written in the papers that an unknown person had broken into the Sanitarium and that he attacked Akane. Akane attempted to defend herself but the room was filled with volatile chemicals and high concentrations of compressed oxygen that caused a terrible explosion that launched her from the third story of her laboratory. The resultant fall coupled with the injuries placed her in what would likely be a permanent coma. It seemed suspicious and Sato wanted to get to the bottom of his wife’s fate. It did not take him long to put the pieces together: his long and unusually timed slumber had to have been somehow forced, perhaps through tainted food or drink or an unrecalled assault. He had slept for many hours, she had been apparently attacked much later than he fell asleep. He was never able to put in that particular piece although he had several assumptions. He was able to determine that Nori had a part in his wife’s accident after the interrogation. It would be expected that he would look for someone capable of completing her work but his distrust and the fact that he was detained and forced to take truth serum to prove that he knew nothing seemed suspect. It was no secret that Nori was a fierce and ruthless leader, the concept of killing his own men did not go far outside of the moral practices Sato had already assumed.

But he could do nothing with simple assumptions likely clouded by grief.

Sato attempted to get permission to oversee his wife’s care. He was denied and sent back to the front lines to assist in the war effort. Sato refused and he left his position as a Jounin-level Medic, stating that he would see his wife one-day recover. He was barred independence as all former shnobis were because they carried too many secrets to be allowed to roam free, but he remained in the village and in the same Sanitarium. He was denied access to her records, they were barred from the public and labeled confidential because of her former position it was explained that someone might mean her harm. It felt suspicious to Sato, why would he bar her husband from her records? Why would he bar a man who was a trusted medic and an expert surgeon from working on one of his researchers? He felt that Nori wanted her to remain unconscious.

Sato attempted to uncover information about his wife. What was she up to? What was her exact assignment? What was she doing the day of the accident?  Was there a reason? With his family’s influence and wealth he paid several members of the ANBU Group as well as a pair of medics to perform some research on Akane. His findings were disturbing. Her research files had been altered, it was impossible for them to know what she was up to. Her personal notebook was given to the Medic Chief and its contents were locked away. Akane’s actual medical care was not being performed by the Sanitarium, but rather by privately contracted caregivers paid for by the kazekage himself. He was hiding something and he was going to great lengths to keep this hidden.

His wife’s state plagued him over the years. Every path he took always ended at another dead end. He was not able to get all of the pieces together despite his efforts or the numbers of years that passed. He did what he could to move on, to live on. His skill as a surgeon gained him an excellent reputation as he specialized in children. He decided that he would never remarry and that he would wait for his wife to recover, because of this choice it was likely that he would never have children of his own and although these were not his, he would save them and love them as if they were his.

Akane remained in a coma-like state for years. It was a cruel fate, but the world only knew part of it. She was not actually in a coma. Her frontal head injury was in fact damaging, but with the medical skill of the average Chuunin even, her fate was not sealed. The complete destruction of her brain was prevented, although she had minor brain damage she was still viable. Her damaged body was also healed, although she was covered in scars, her body survived as well. Her state was both an act to punish her as well as to preserve her. Her coma-like state was maintained through medical intervention and it was for the reason she was cared for privately although she was still in the Sanitarium.

Her husband was the last face she ever saw and at first she blamed him for her fate but she was allotted more time to think that someone should be given. In her medicine-induced coma-like state she looked back on their last loving interaction and the sense she had about him. The warning her heart tried to give her that something was not right. He did not act the way he did. He forgot how to even open the door. And he knew that she was working on an “immortality project.” How did he know something she never told him? It was not because she was keeping secrets from him that he was not told, it was because the world they lived in could not be trusted. Information sharing was always limited in case one of them was captured and forced to talk. It was part of the Medical Code, something both of them followed.

It was not Sato… it was someone else…

******************

Heartbroken, there was little her lover Sato could do but mourn his lost as any lover would. Only himself and a few others would assume the terrible truth behind the woman’s ghastly fate. He knew that her coma was not the result of a spontaneous explosion, there was nothing flammable in her laboratory nor had there been anything in quite some time. She was only compiling her records the other labs were where she did anything remotely dangerous. A part of him wanted to destroy Kazekage Nori where he stood for what he had done, but feelings and assumptions were not what the man of logic lived by. Anyone that knew Nori knew his capacity, but even if he knew, what could he have done? He lacked the strength or the power to do anything but plot and hate. Kazekage Nori was at his peak whereas the young doctor was still nothing more than an everyday Jounin-level Medic. In her “death” Akane had surpassed him, she was promoted 2-ranks and became the Chief Captain of the Medic Squad although only in name considering her state. He could not gather a following to stand against him at the time although there was rising discontent among the ranks despite their perpetual success in the Waterfall War. He tried to live on the best he could, hate within his heart he played right into Nori’s hands. Sato also blamed himself for his wife’s terrible fate, if only he was there for her when she needed him.

It was not that Kazekage Nori knew nothing of Sato’s hand in Akane’s plans, his ear was to every wall and his eye was upon each of his men. He knew of Sato’s distrust for him even before his lover’s end but they had never uttered an actually traitorous word between them, they both simply felt the same way. Sato was able to pass any Truth Serum laced discussion between himself and Nori to be had. Despite Nori inability to publicly destroy the young physician he could have sent one of his many assassins to end the mourning man’s life at any point but he never bothered. Sato’s pain and weakness made him an enjoyable one to watch, Nori took a sadistic pleasure in seeing the grief stricken man try to live on, unable to voice his ambitions or his hatred for Nori without leaving himself open for public scrutiny or worse. Sato’s fate was worse than death already and Nori fully embraced this fact. Sato spent the better part of the next decade in silence although he was plotting and planning several schemes of his own. He was driven mad by the guilt and the hate that festered inside of him like a vituperative disease that slowly ate away at him.

He became a new man while Akane slept. Although she was incapable of motion or communication, she could still hear and she could still feel. She attempted to stave the insanity by singing in her mind or by listening to discussions down the hall since she was rarely visited by anyone besides her grieving husband whose frequent visits finally ceased after many years. She knew whenever he came because the room would be filled with the terrible sounds of him sobbing. Once he stopped visiting her and she was left to her loneliness, less the dutiful caregiver that maintained her life artificially through machines and medicines. Over the years her drug-laced coma persisted because her heart and lungs refused to cease although each day she prayed they would. Her state was a hell that was truly indescribable that she survived in for the next decade or so until she was pulled back to this world.

Akane was pulled back into the conscious world by the former Medic Captain turned Sennin, Takahashi Shiori. Shiori was not a former ally of Akane’s, Akane’s time as a medic ceased while Shiori was merely an AiT who ran entirely different circles. Takahashi Shiori was a “special case” for many reasons. She was once a brilliant medic that was turned mad by a series of losses that started with the Waterfall War and her time as a POW followed by the loss of her best friend and the systematic loss of everyone near to her. She had access to old records and a book that only she could have: Akane’s old Steno notebook. She had a basic understanding of what kept Akane in her state, after all she was given directions by the true Kazekage [Nori] to administer the same medication to her week after week. She did not know what it was or why, but orders were orders. Over time, the task was delegated to the nursing staff, a special unlabeled medication that she “claimed” would help prevent Akane from having systematic organ failure. It was only a partial lie, she actually had no idea what the medication actually was for, but it was rather obvious in her mind. Nori died several months after Akane’s fate on this hospital bed had occurred, he was keeping her alive for a reason and curiosity did eventually get the better of the Sennin. The old steno notebook was her research, nothing more the chicken scratches and mathematical dribble that amounted to nothing. Missing pages and altered letters in words or numbers in equations made it obvious that she was attempting to hide something. Those who briefly held the notebook before her wrote some notes, rather short but compelling. Researchers had gotten ahold of her notes and there were several mentions in the narratives of a “super soldier” and “immortality elixir.”

This meant that Akane might possess something that Shiori very much wanted: a way to become immortal. This was a goal that Shiori wanted for herself, not so she could never know death but rather so she could forget the sensation of loss. So she could protect those around her by granting them immortality and in turn save her from future losses.

Medical skill and theory had improved over the next decade and the Sennin was a pioneer in the medical field but she was also a practitioner of previous practices. Although the public assumes otherwise, Akane was not in a coma at all, rather she was in a sedated state that was monitored by the Sennin herself. She was not privy to who cared for the woman’s unconscious state before her but she did not truly care.
Name: Akanesawa Kana, a.k.a. -Akane
Age: 18 (at last time of active duty) 28 (current)
Rank: Medic Captain, presently considered inactive due to -disability
History: A woman with a natural affinity to water despite the arid landscape quickly rose through the ranks during her youth, each year she was another rank above what she was previous. She graduated the Academy at the age of 12 at the top of her class. She was accepted as a MiT 6 mo. later and became a full-fledged Medic the following year. She became at Jounin-ranked Medic at 15. She took the position of Captain after the former had retired from his respected rank during the Waterfall War a short time later. She was badly burnt in an explosion at the hospital at the age of 18; the cause was determined to be the result of an electrical accident. Likely faulty wiring in the walls coupled with the high oxygen content and combustible chemicals.

Mission History:
- 4 D-rank missions while Genin ranked: dog walking, gardening, cleaning and newspaper delivery.
- 2 C-rank missions while high Genin ranked: lost cat (sustained several large gash wounds), repairing a broken wall in the Kazekage tower.
- 2 B-ranked missions while Chuunin: Medic on ANBU hunt team for capture of a B-ranked nukenin x2.

There was something wrong with this history. In fact there were several inconsistencies. First of all, this woman was active during the Waterfall War and was apparently declared incapable of being in active duty just as the war ended yet there was no mission references that reflected the war at all. Her file was a forgery. It was rather annoying, Shiori had hoped that she could gain further information about the woman before she brought her back.

After that short blurb which was grievously brief considering that she was once the captain, her history ended all the same. It was mostly lies although there was nobody alive less Akane and Takahashi whom could guess the real truth. Nori was so very good at covering his tracks, so many secrets held within the walls of this village and yet so few who truly understood why such things had to be done. This nation was weak, so horridly weak... Nori's goals would be seen through to completion. Part of her wondered what the use of the other tasks she was commissioned to maintain were also for. When she got the book, on the back there was a list of tasks that she too would one day pass on “ they ranged from instilling medicines into certain -incapacitated people as well as the maintenance of several seals throughout the village written in Nori’s handwriting.

It was a horrid thing Shiori was about to do because this woman had served the nation well once before yet she had to be put down. Even Nori knew better than to let her loose so why would the woman resurrect this unfortunate woman if even a madman would not tolerate this woman's freedom? Incarceration was out of the question yet death was a penalty he would not submit the woman to strangely enough. She attempted to understand his logic because she understood his logic to be infallible but she could not grasp his reasons, she only knew that at one point she nearly provided him with one of his greatest aspirations.

Akane still appeared beautiful even in this mangled form, her limbs had atrophied and contracted over the years and her hair grew so very long. It was sick in some ways. The Sennin ran her hand through her long crimson hair; it was so much nicer than her own mousy appearance. "I read about you Akane... he forgot to hide one scroll, you are my hero,"</B><i></i> the woman stated in a gentle tone as she reminisced the words that filled her own twisted mind. Akane was a mad-woman but a genius as well, her mind held secrets too valuable to allow her to die just in case yet also information that could not be shared. And if such was the case, then her state was not a natural one at all. She knew how Nori thought at least at a remedial level.

Shiori sat on the foot of Akane's bed and began to fiddle with the wires. They rolled between her nimble fingers. "According to Sunagakure you are nothing more than a corpse, such a terrible pity..."<i></i> She approached the woman's ear and announced with a slight coo, "can you hear me?"

She shook her head at the thoughts that crossed her mind, she brushed a lock of hair from Akane's face, she appeared peaceful despite her deplorable state. She would not appear that way much longer though would she..?

"Nurse... I am afraid to announce that Akane has reached a clinical state of brain death and as such I will be taking her to the morgue."<i></i> The Sennin announced.

The Sennin never was a kind woman; this would be one of the cruelest games she played to date. The woman was placed in this state for a reason, Nori wanted to preserve her knowledge but prevent it from being shared. What a good man Nori was... It was time that her knowledge was passed onto a new person, someone that would put all of that hard work to proper use.

Akane was too smart for her own good back then, she was likely always was a brilliant woman but she was a fool for betraying Nori as she had back then. "I know you know..." the Sennin sang into her ear as she disconnected the drip going into her central line. She started to hum a short tune as she talked to Akane. "The man that took your place after you got that nasty lump, he was a good and honest fellow, perhaps he should have written a little less about you and a bit more about himself. Seems the current Captain each generation has the same issue, barely a sentence about their works but PAGES about everyone else.<i></i> She let out a cackle, -I heard a rumor that Nori is back 'ya know but he has yet to play with us again eh?"<i></i> she whispered between hums and took note of the fact that her heart picked up the pace just then with the mere mention of his name. She was far from dead. Shiori pulled out a syringe filled with an amber fluid and screwed it to the central catheter line. A slow push of the gelatinous fluid into her bloodstream followed. "I have preserved your precarious state for too long Akane, I need to finish the task you did not have the strength to finish,"<i></i> Shiori muttered through gritted teeth as a cruel expression came over her face.

She began removing her lines one by one. "Lets just call this a terminal wean..."<i></i> she stated as she finally pulled out the tube that was placed in her windpipe. Akane was not breathing... not yet at least, the potion would have to run its course. Her foot hit the kick bar beneath her hospital bed; a sheet draped over her unmoving and unbreathing form, the Sennin slowly ambled down the hospital corridor. The sounds of heels tapping the tile floor was the only sound made as she left the unit as she did not utter a word to any gathered keeping her face and motions entirely in check. She nodded as she briskly walked past the nurse. The amber fluid she had injected into Akane was the grandchild of one of her early potions and the antidote to the sedative that kept her in the somnolent state she had suffered in so long. The potion had already infused for the week so it would take several minutes for the antidote would take hold. It would be barely enough time for her to reach her lab but she would make it, she had to make it.

Shiori ambled down the hallway in silence. Her heels tapped the tile floor ever so gently as her face remained placid, she was frighteningly cool despite the baggage she now had. The traces of a smile could be hinted on the corners of her lips, was it unsettling to say she loved this stuff.

Down the maze of halls and sharp corners, the woman wheeled the squeaking gurney through a pair of doors that locked behind her. The room was eerie in its hush, the hum of life did not mill here as the room stank of decrepit bodies. She pulled away the sheets to look upon Akane’s crippled form and scoffed lightly. She was once a pretty woman, now her atrophied form was wasted away and contracted into this wretched state.

The medicine that ran through her veins was finally breaking through Shiori’s assistance was a terrible secret she kept all these years... Akane would soon arise, the former Medic and present Sennin started to fasten the restrains, Akane’s awakening would not be a pretty sight. As expected a sudden gasp erupted from the table as the woman’s primary functions began to awaken once more. She shuddered and seized as her breath came out as a series of ragged wheezes. Gobs of phlegm and saliva shot from her mouth as her body quavered and shook as the remedy took its full effect. Her body was soon reduced to a series of random weak twitches as her eyes finally opened, there was an awareness to them.

-The damages did not destroy your mind as they thought, the Sennin mused out loud. As she leaned over the now awake former leader and appraised the base she had to work with. Akane fought against the straps that held her in place, her mouth opened to say something yet the words would not be released. The Sennin let out a terrible cackle in response, the cancerous venom had not left Akane entirely just yet.

"There is a poison that you destroyed... I know you completed it, otherwise you would not have set the laboratory ablaze and attempt to run..."<i></i> Shiori announced in a cruel voice, her hand upon the shoulder of the seizing woman. Shiori was unaware that it was Takeshi that set the lab ablaze, not Akane. Shiori’s dagger-like nails dug into the waking woman's shoulders. She leaned close to the woman's ear as the seizures began to subside, in a saccharine voice she whispered softly into her ear, "...you are going to teach me everything you know. According to this nation you have already died, nobody is coming for you." <i></i>

Akane still did not answer the Sennin yet her eyes reflected an understanding amidst the exhaustion and fear. In a dry voice that quavered Akane answered the wicked woman, "--just kill me you must and the effort be saved, nothing I tell you."

A boisterous laugh erupted from the Sennin, her eyes has a maddened luster. "I never offered you a choice..." <i></i>

Her fingers danced and a machination rose to its feet from its resting place against the adjacent wall. A terrible creation although the Sennin gave the thing she called -Eisuke an adoring look. "Eisuke... be a dear and relieve this woman of her contracted arms..."<i></i> she cooed as she pat the rough humanoid puppet on the top of the head. Shiori was a puppeteer by nature. Her mastery of puppet prosthetics only came in the heat of an emergency situation where her imagination benefited her greatly and her success was what landed her the position as Medic Captain. In battle, she was a Puppet Master primarily.

Blood curdling screams now reverberated through the room with each swift cut. Arteries sprayed a mist of sanguine into the air creating a delightful display that the woman would have normally enjoyed watching. "Oh Eisuke, your cuts are sloppy and the flesh here is jagged,"<i></i> she scolded tenderly as she retracted the chakra strings she once wielded. She had a habit of naming her puppets as some men would name their pets or their favorite vehicle, madness suggested that she name the puppets after her long-dead siblings it would seem. Shiori had an unconscious masochistic nature, her heart ached every time she called out their names yet day after day she did the same thing to herself. Eisuke crumpled to the floor before she laid her hands upon the now screaming woman, a healing aura emendated from her hands that ceased the bleeding yet did not heal her entirely. Tears were streaming down the sides of the Akane's face, yet the Sennin felt no remorse.

"Hmm... If I remember correctly you perfected the Feral-ity Potion and another potion was on the brink of being able to reanimate necrotic flesh among several others that you neglected to record and report to Sunagakure,"<i></i> she shook her head before she added, "how very naughty of you." the notebook was only in part correct, Akane had developed several potions but all of the potions created were mistaken creations while she attempted to create the concoction she was commissioned to. The feral state of the consumer was not a product of the potion but rather a side effect of the same potion that she had developed to reanimate the dead. Yes, the dead can be recovered, but the recovered never are what they once were. Their rotted flesh does not become new and fresh, it becomes preserved in whatever state it was found and the revived person becomes a mindless monster rather than a man. Yes, it was a source of -immortality in some ways, less utter decimation the creature would continue to fight until there was nothing left, but in her opinion, without a mind, the life was already lost.

P-please... s-stop..." she stammered and begged with a pleading look on her face.

"Then tell me what I want to know..." Shiori growled. Akane did not answer verbally, she just gritted her teeth and looked the other way. "Eiskue, you are too sloppy. I will take care of this if you'd be so kind,<i></i> she ordered as she looked down at the floor where her 'brother' lay. She took hold of the epee his oaken hand held, in a simple decisive slice she came down upon Akane's left leg.

Akane cried out once again but would not grant her the information she desired. "K-kill me please..."<i></i> she begged between sobbing breaths.

"THAT IS NOT AN ANSWER!"<i></i> Takahashi roared as her epee swung down upon her remaining appendage. Healing hands prevented a hemorrhage yet did not relieve the pain that now coursed through her entire being.

The senseless torture continued for several hours, her voice had groan hoarse from the pain inflicted yet her methods were not actually meant for torture yet she enjoyed the dual purpose her procedures provided. Puppet limbs replaced her now absent extremities. Her limbs were contracted and useless, they would have had to be removed anyways, this method was the most fun. Puppet limbs were placed alongside her bloodied torso and each false limb was strapped to the table for the Sennin’s personal safety. Akane was now a half woman, half machination...

Several painful hours passed, the woman’s newly regained voice had grown hoarse again from the anguished cries she had released. The atrophied thin strings of meat and sinew were cut coarsely away. Her arms had been replaced with brass pieces; they possessed an uncanny luster despite the mild green tarnish. The ping of a hammer against metal as she drove the rod into the shaft of the remaining bone resonated off the barren walls of the laboratory. The subject was drained, barely conscious now as the pain took its toll on her.

It was now her head that needed the last bit of adjustment it seemed. It was like working on a hunk of steak really, the lack of emotion she placed towards the woman although this was a trifle more delicate that appendage since this was actually neurosurgery. A blunt strike to the woman’s head caused her loose consciousness once more. Work was now done on the frontal lobe of the brain, the skull was then braced with metal and bolted in place. She looked like a terrible mistake when she was done, her humanity half lost. She used to have long red hair that possessed the sheen of fire itself yet now it was the metal that encased her that held these lustrous properties. It was a strange sight truly, this monster machination built by not a benevolent creator but rather a madwoman.

When Akane rose once more from her slumber she would note the limbs that were forced upon her. The heavy weight part of her head now carried, her mind would remember what transpired in flashes yet in an effort to save her own sanity it would be somewhat blocked away. A coarse cackle could be heard from the Scorpion [another name Shiori used to go by] as the woman began to stir. -So slothful you are my dear, haven’t you been sleeping for years already? <i></i>

The awakening was rather wretched in all actuality, the convulsing, writhing form of a woman cut apart and put back together in the most unnatural manner. What malice must linger within the heart of a woman whom could do this to another, unfathomable... Yet despite this fact the heavens themselves did not break apart to reveal the frightening form of an omnipotent being that would smite her for her wicked deeds nor did the earth crack asunder to reveal the bowels of the earth itself and swallow her whole.

A bead of sweat rolled down the side of the woman's face that the Sennin did not wipe away. She was in a great deal of physical anguish that the Sennin would not cease although she had the medical capacity. "Do you hate me..."<i></i> the Sennin sang into her ear. "What a terribly naughty woman you were, I always thought that it was supposed to be big bad Nori that caused all the trouble eh?"<i></i> Shiori made a tsk’ing sound before she brought a hand to her trembling lips. "Shhh--- dun say a word my dear... I already know more than you would think, you were going to betray us."<i></i> Shiori announced darkly as she brought her other hand to Akane's restrained prosthetic limb and pressed on it firmly causing the woman to grimace.

-I-I will tell you nothing,<i></i> Akane answered weakly, her eyes not focusing on anything, as she was far too dizzy from the pain to concentrate, as she should.

-No, you will tell me everything,<i></i> Shiori countered as she whispered in turn into the woman’s ear.

There was then a crescendo of screams that echoed through the small chamber, but this time the Scorpion did not let the woman pass out, not until she begged to answer the interrogator’s queries. Several hours of senseless torture followed, what a horrid awakening the woman had received. Sticky from blood and panting heavily, the woman finally broke. -Al-ll r-igh-tt I-ell tell yuu ev-ry ˜hing yuu need ta kn-ow, <i></i> There was a difference between the loss of a limb where the sudden searing pain ceases after the action and neural pain. With the puppet prosthetic still fresh, all the nerves are still raw and exposed. Neural pain can be excruciating and eventually everyone breaks, Akane being no exception.

It was at this moment, during her excitement that Shiori would prove herself foolish enough to look away. Her sonar was legendary and she was confident in her ability to maintain control over the newly awakened woman. If Shiori was a less skilled surgeon perhaps Akane would have not have been capable of breaking through the restraints with a sickening crack as her prosthetic limb tore the leather strap in half. The chakra channels in her Prosthetic concentrated her physical power, something that had diminished over the years of unconsciousness but thanks to the Sennin’s assistance she was more powerful than she should have been at this point.

Akane was still learning how to use her new limbs, her old ones had been weakened and crippled due to disuse. Although their dismissal was exceedingly painful due to the Sennin’s heartless methods which were more a psychological torture than a -gift, they would prove to be what gave her back her life. She ripped away the other three points of restraint and rolled off the table she was strapped to. Everything hurt, even her head. She attempted to touch the side of her head but her fingers could feel nothing, they were nothing more than metallic adornments. She stood upright unsteadily as she stood upright, a hospital gown somewhat bloodied adorned her emaciated figure.

Shiori turned about face her ears would prevent Akane from sneaking up on her. It was in time to see her metallic arm come down at her; the word became bright as if a flash of light had blinded her just then. She could not see, her vision lost to her although it would hopefully be only temporary, this was not the time to ponder such things. She could hear Akane’s movements despite her recent recovery she was rather light on her feet. Takahashi attempted recoil yet she did not know how swift nor how accurate the former Captain truly was, they do not make women like they used to.

*Crack*

The Sennin was knocked out and the injured woman needed to depart before the madwoman regained consciousness. She dragged Shiori by her hair over to another gurney and restrained her limbs just as Shiori had done to her. She was going to savor the moment she cut into the Sennin. Shiori started to regain consciousness it only took several minutes for her to awaken and fully comprehend the fact that the situation had reversed. -You monster”-<i></i> Akane hissed.

Shiori tugged at the leather restraints that pinned each arm to the metal bed. -Oh please, you don’t think that this could possible tether me? Shiori let out a cackle. Perhaps she was mad or obnoxiously confident.

Akane had stolen Eisuke’s bladed weapon and rose his high above her head. -Eisuke, please be a dear and not let strange woman run about with such pointy things, they make me nervous,<i></i> Shiori complained as her fingers dances despite the fact that her wrists were securely held against the table. The wooden mannequin came lazily to life and flung at her over an unnatural seeming axis as it attempted to wrestle away the weapon Akane held. She was faster and more accurate than the puppet the Shiori controlled but she lacked the stamina to maintain fast and accurate. -You should have run away when you had your chance, it has been a long time since I had a nap.<i></i> Her other hand began to move about from beneath the belt-like restraint.

Invisible threads of chakra escaped her fingers and traversed the short open space to yet another misplaced puppet. A rough wooden humanoid shape crumpled on the floor came to life with an invisible tug. -Chizuka, be a dear and unfasten me.<i></i> Chizuka was Shiori’s second puppet, a representation of her long dead sister.

It would not be long before Shiori, that madwoman, was free once again. Akane looked at the approaching puppet Chizuka and back at her defender, Eisuke. She was a neophyte in this body, could she take both of them on? She glared at them for a moment, she wanted the woman that they protected but, she could not fight now. She grabbed a white long jacket that hung on the wall and dashed out the metal doors. It had been years since she ambled these halls and she did not know what awaited her. Beyond the doors was an abandoned hallway, Shiori made a habit of doing all of her experiments on an abandoned wing.

The woman Sennin truly thought she would be able to hold a former Captain after she made it so she was capable of fighting? What a foolish woman she was. Akane looked cautiously back behind her before she looked at the window before her and the freedom it suggested at the end of the hall. She did not care how far the drop was or who was outside, she just needed to get away before the Sennnin broke free.

Akane ran at the large plate of glass and broke through, metallic arms first because they would not feel the glass that should have ripped her apart. She landed three stories below in a crouch. She looked back at the Sanitorium she had just escaped, a feeling of dread in the pit of the stomach, she was just reinvented in the same laboratory she was destroyed in so many years ago.

Meanwhile: In the lab where Shiori was restrained.

-What are you doing Hideki! Shiori yelled at the air. -Go get her!<i></i>

From the empty air a young man emerged. He was only a teen himself with an unruly mass of brown hair and a large pair of blue eyes. Hideki Chozu was a former ANBU that -retired at a young age but took on sporadic assignments and classes in Sunagakure. He seemed to have an undocumented affiliation with Shiori that was never fully explained. He had a terrible look on his face as he uttered, -I think you went too far,<i></i>

-No, everything went exactly as I had planned,<i></i> Shiori coughed as she impatiently fought the restraints while Chizuka untied her. -She is not just the owner of great information, she will give me the two things I want the most! Now follow her!<i></i> She snapped.

-Aye,<i></i> Hideki responded reluctantly. He did not like where this was going, he did not like this at all. In a flash he disappeared.

She had a plan and Akane was required for this plan. She knew of her affiliation with Doctor Sato although her records were cleansed of this fact long ago, the notebook still mentioned the link. Shiori and Doctor Sato had crossed paths many times; their first was while she was a Chuunin-ranked Medic recovering from posttraumatic syndrome after she was recovered from the war camp during the Waterfall War. Doctor Sato was a well-known children’s doctor and was respected by the community as a whole. Being as low rank as she was, she knew nothing of his losses and even if she had she would not understand the difference in their pain. He was trying to be a good man the only way he knew he could. He lived by a theory: the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. He was a murderer in the eyes of the community although he was not caught until the end. People under the care of other doctors would come in for a routine surgery only to find themselves brain dead due to a gaseous agent he developed from some of the plants he discovered in Northern Wind Country on the border of Fire and Wind. From there he would convince their proxy to donate their loved ones organs so that they would live on. It was strange that he chose an -irreversible coma as the diagnosis needed to allow his plan to move on. He picked his victims carefully as he looked for the mentally unstable, the drunkard, the cheating wife. People that should be in a coma, people that he wished could take his wife’s place. With those organs he would heal children. A single death on the -enemy lines would result in him saving or improving the lives of dozens of other people.

Shiori entered the situation as a medical auditor. There was a complaint against the hospital due to the death of a young woman Ai. She was a married woman that was having an affair with a prominent anesthesiologist (something that would not have been hard for Dr. Sato to discover) and the was about to do under for a simple routine surgery called a laporoscopic cholecystectomy. Simply put a laporoscopic procedure is a procedure where multiple tiny incisions are used instead of one large incision. A cholecystectomy is the surgical removal of a gallbladder. She died under anesthesia and her lover (who happened to be the anesthesiologist) was partly blamed for the resultant coma. Upon review it was discovered that there were other unexpected deaths, while alone these deaths were not the unusual, they were unusual enough to prompt Shiori to investigate further. She had gotten too close to the truth and she was poisoned as a result. Shiori was to share in the fate of several other victims. Shiori was saved by Karakaze Kazuki, Kimura Tenma and a third hero that she strangely enough named -Sketchy on all of her records. The Sennin was notorious for forgetting names and replacing them with new ones.

Doctor Sato was subsequently sent to prison but he was not held for long before he escaped and disappeared for several years. During this time he created an army of monsters that he used to attack the members of several honorable houses. Eventually he had the power to attack Sunagakure with a small army he had amassed. There were many casualties as a result of the attack.

She was not sure where Sato was, but she knew that Dr. Sato would respond to his former lover’s death. The elixir of immortality would be a bonus that she would rip from the woman’s mind personally at a later time. Shiori wrote an obituary and made sure that there was front page coverage of Akane’s highly anticipated death after years in a coma. She went into great detail to explain the location of the funeral and gave him ample time to find his way into Sand. It was a week wait until her -funeral, a costly ordeal with a puppet body transformed into Akane’s likeness. Doctor Sato would not overlook this day that much she was confident.

Akane would be there too, Hideki her tail. Shiori scanned the crowd and her ears flinched at every sound the mourners made. She had been gone a long time; the few that gathered would be political powerhouses attempting to make a good show. She might have a few friends still alive, but considering the fact that veterans never lived long, it was unlikely that more than a handful of -friends would be left still alive. Sato would show up, he would be one of the few visitors. Shiori was correct,

Would Akane come to her own funeral? Of course she would, she would want to know who came for her and who still remembered her happened to be alive. It would surely be disappointing for the most part, but Shiori did not care about feelings. She watched men and women enter, for the most part they chatted and it was more like a morbid social gathering as most funerals are. It was then that a young man in his mid twenties entered and came to her side and began to weep. Shiori, a transformed woman stood nearby and watched the man’s heartbroken response. -I found you Doctor Sato, she announced. She allowed her transformation to drop to reveal the vain Sennin dressed in vibrant hues and a pair of killer heels.

She scanned the crowd Akane should be nearby as well and likely transformed. Akane was just as suspected, a veiled stranger in the back of the room. Shiori had ensured that Akane developed a special level of hatred for her and with that she would attack even if Sato did not expose himself. It was just that the woman did, a feminine form lunged at Shiori.

-Akane? A shocked voice whispered as the young man dropped his transformation to reveal the image of the good doctor.

She did not answer, in fact not a word was uttered as she simply looked back with a confused look on her face. None of the puppet limbs were visible beneath the oversized flowing white robe she wore.

-Get away from her *****! Sato shouted as his hands ran through a series of handseals. The handseals were a lie; Sato rather launched a terrifying genjutsu to disable the Sennin as well as the rest of the gathered mourners. To those gathered one would think that feathers are raining from the heavens. This was Temple of Nirvana, although an elementary jutsu to many of the high-ranking officials gathered at the funeral, when cast by an illusionist, the result is devastating.

Everyone dropped to the ground in a deep sleep, including the Sennin that set the trap. This would have been a perfect moment to attack for either Sato or Akane, but in doing so they risked the possibility of waking everyone else there. Sato grabbed Akane by the arm and tugged her down the aisle. She resisted but did not speak. Sato tugged at her arm again. -Another time, Sato mouthed as he tried to lead her outside. He pulled a stack of explosive notes from his pocket with his free hand, even on direct contact they would not deliver a killing blow in the limited quantities he possessed, but it would be enough to cripple the building. He slapped a note onto several of the pillars with his left hand as he attempted to lead Akane out. He never expected to actually find her alive, but he somehow had.

Once they crossed the threshold of the building Sato released a short burst of chakra that caused each of the notes to go off within a second of each other. The building groaned and began to lean to the side before the pillars that remained broke under the weight of the roof and the building came crashing down onto everyone gathered inside.

-Akane, I cannot believe that you are alive, Sato announced as he looked back at the building. They did not have much time, that explosion would surely gain the attention of others. -We have to go, NOW, he stated sternly as he continued to hold her arm. -I’ll get you someplace safe, I will protect you this time.<i></i> He transformed himself into the form of a much younger man, a teen in fact with blond hair and green eyes. His sun tanned skin and dirt-stained face made it easy for him to blend into the crowd. His partner did the same, the form of a dark skinned teenage girl with golden eyes and long black hair. -What happened? How are you, you know, awake? <i></i>

She did not respond, she only looked at him with a lop-sided grin. -L-Let’s go this way, Sato stammered as he pointed at a narrow ally way. -I know a place that we can hide until things settle,<i></i> he confided. They ran hand in hand down the narrow ally and through the side door of a run down former business and then down a set of concrete stairs into a cellar. He shut the door behind him and turned on a lights witch. A bare bulb danged on a braid of wires and illuminated the cramped quarters. -This is an old emergency bunker, the owner of this shop had this in case of disaster, Nobody will be able to hear us down here. He then locked the door with a simple flick of the wrist. -Shame that nobody will come to help you,<i></i> Sato added as he drew a rather strange weapon.
-You are NOT Akane, his voice grew harsh. -Who are you and what are you doing thing!<i></i> He accused.

-He-he-he,<i></i> Akane finally answered with a boyish voice. -How did you know it was not her. I look a lot like her I would like to think, at least a lot like the woman she could or might look like if Takahashi did get along of her.<i></i> The false woman taunted.

Sato’s eyes widened and the space with filled with a dark rage. -WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!<i></i> He shouted at the top of his octave. His weapon shuddered and his face turned red.

-I refuse to answer your question until you answer mine,<i></i> the false speaker responded.

-I will rip the answer from you!<i></i> Sato bellowed as his strange rod-like device began to vibrate on its own. His opponent would not realize this initially but he would soon notice that the world about him was changing. Things were not as they should be. The walls began to make sounds, as if there was something moving behind them. The floor, out of the corner of his eye he might see something dart across the room so fast in his periphery that he would not be able to be entirely sure of what that actually was. Soon the motions would become more frequent until he would see a rat and then another. All the same with their dark matted hair and their damp rotting stench and glowing crimson eyes. One would come at him at rip at his false robe before another would do the same. Soon they started attacking his flesh, he could feel them biting him. He would brush one off before another would come for him. The numbers seemed overwhelming as they started to consume him. He would cry out but there would be no sound. He would try to run away but his feet felt as if they had been glued to the floor.

This was of course an illusion created by the genjutsuist, the rod-like device was in fact an amplified that increased the power of his techniques so that they would permanently scar the mind. The transformation dropped and the fraud’s true form was made known, it was Hideki Chozu. He had taken on the appearance of Sato’s former wife at the funeral despite the fact that she was at large. Apparently Akane was still at large, Hideki had tailed her and knew of her actual location but the toll of Shiori’s works had taken the better of her. She was still alive, but only barely. If Shiori had waited only a few days she would have truly died on her own, but Shiori was a complicated creature. She wanted Akane alive as an Ace to not only find and destroy Doctor Sato but to also recreate her immortality brew. If Sato did not fall to her hand, Akane would eventually reunite with him and together they would eventually manufacture her creations and if Sato did fall to her hand, Akane would attempt to resurrect her lost love, either way she would play right into Shiori’s hands. Akane’s death actually went against Shiori’s plans, she would be displeased with Hideki if she knew Akane’s actual state and even more displeased to know that he was in the company of this madman and now at his mercy.

Things had almost went as Shiori had planned, even with a building laying on top of her she thought things had gone well. If she only knew she lost one of her greatest and strongest allies this day.

[color-blue]-Because Akane would never shut up, never stop nagging or telling me that I needed to get something done or to remind me for no reason at all that she loved me. Sato announced over the fallen body of his opponent. Hideki was not dead but he would eventually suffer a fate worse than death.

Hideki was subsequently tortured by Doctor Sato and the actual location of a rather sickly but alive and conscious Akane was relayed to the doctor. Sato found her in a rather deplorable state in less than sanitary conditions of the prosthetic implantations had caused a massive infection to erupt that had already traveled to her blood. She was septic and Sato was likely going to lose her a second time. Although the odds were against them, Sato was a much more masterful doctor than the Sennin ever was. Although the Sennin’s methods were groundbreaking and fantastic in theory, she never cared or studied the long-term (or in some cases the short-term) effects of her works. A broad-spectrum antibiotic was necessary, something he would have to steal from the Sanitarium. He would also have to discover exactly what kind of infection was causing her particular issue so that he could give her a more specific cure to ensure her recovery. For that he would need to steal some equipment or he would need to take over a small portion of the hospital, the earlier of the concepts was the most viable. Sato utilized a transformation jutsu of his own to take the form of Hideki who was presently restrained and mentally fatigued due to Sato’s illusionary assaults. The doctor entered the hospital and without knowing anything more than the fact that he was a Sunan and a vague recollection of this man being an ANBU early in his career. (Dr. Sato was still active in the Suna community while Chozu was an active member of the ANBU squad.)

He was able to safely enter the building and navigate the building due to his history and recollection of the hospital layout and liberate a healthy supply of antibiotics to treat his ailing, newly awoken wife. He was also able to take a limited collection of specimen mediums from which he attempted to culture Akane. Through his painstaking efforts and his medical expertise he was able to save Akane’s life. He then took her from Sunagakure in the dead of night hidden in the back of a cart filled with what appeared to be various stone sculptures. Akane and Hideki both were made to appear as if they were pieces of art rather than human beings. Hideki was now a prisoner of Doctor Sato (but he would eventually return to Cloud to cause some chaos that is a story for another thread and another day).

Akane eventually recovered but was cursed with inanimate limbs that made everything seem unreal to her. She was in constant pain and she did not have the release of death. She was inexperienced in a world where she was a decade behind and she did not understand how much the world and how much they changed “ herself and Sato. Those years Akane spent in a coma were conscious, at least for her, just in a different way. She was not able to see, hear, feel or interact and her mind was unable to dream but she could think and hear herself speak. She had a lot of time to think and it was maddening.

Sato was left to suffer without her and he tried to live the best he could but he was incapable of moving on. This stagnation caused many years to pass him by. He tried to do things that would make her proud but over the years his ethics became warped as he began to take a utilitarian viewpoint of the world. Despite his ethics, he still hated Sunagakure for what they had done and what they were still doing. He was able to mangle his ethics even more so from the emotionless utilitarianism that allowed him to harvest the organs of one to suit the needs of many to a need for domination. He had to extinguish evil but he could not destroy evil by sitting back and playing nice or acting as a -good example he would have to overwhelm and overpower them and not by gentle means. He had developed academically by testing on those weaker than he was and because of this he was able to create an army of monsters capable of taking on an army of trained shinobis, only his army was more disposable. The recent return of his wife gave him the final drop of drive necessary to complete his projects and to launch his army.

Sato developed an army of both mindless heathens and sentient, loyal humanoids. The strongest and least flawed of his creations were called the -Anathema 13. First he launched an unforeseen foe: Hideki Chozu, his mind was rotted and destroyed thanks to Sato’s cruel intentions and he relayed the information necessary for the army to attack. From there Hideki returned as a sleeper for Sato (this does eventually end but that is not relevant to this bio). Hideki allowed the Gatherers entrance into Sunagakure and they ravaged the city. The Anathema 13 marched onto the Sand Gates and fought against the strangest members of the Sunagakurian Army, it was through clever placement of explosive notes that Sunagakure was victorious in the battle but not the war. The goal was to damage and possible even devastate, but to also collect samples. The Gatherers were the original collectors and the Anathema was the strongest and least malformed of the Gatherers.

From the remains of the corpses, the samples obtained were stolen. (Essentially those attacks that made a direct hit collected samples in addition to causing damage). This was the first large-scale collection effort by Dr. Sato. He had gotten brazen after all these years but then decided to return to obscurity. There was a reason of course for this he was seeking an alternative to the curse that was placed onto his wife, Akane.

A rift had developed between them due to his efforts. She felt alone, unable to touch or to fully experience an embrace she found herself needy. Sato was busy working on his projects or experimenting, although all of this was for her benefit, all she ever wanted was a life in peace with him. This led to a final fight that turned violent in an unanticipated manner.
-Sato dear, come to bed, she called from the entrance to his laboratory.

-Not now hun, I think I am onto something, he answered without looking back at her.

-It is late, you have been in here all night for the past three nights in a row,<i></i> she complained as she leaned against the doorframe. Her slender, half-human body made a willowy silhouette in the semi-opaque coral nightgown.

-I am busy,<i></i> he answered, his voice had a minor tone of frustration as he continued to tinker with some unknown metallic apparatus.

-I miss you.<i></i>

-I know, and I am sorry,<i></i> Sato responded blandly.

-Why are you doing this,<i></i> Akane sniffled as her face crinkled-up. -Do I really disgust you this much?<i></i>

-We’ve been through this dearest, I am trying to repair you,<i></i> he answered in a still toneless voice.

-I-I want to be fixed, but I also want to be with YOU! Akane pleaded, her voice increased in pitch as she spoke.

-Be patient,<i></i> Sato answered coolly.

-I HAVE been patient, I have been patient for over a decade!<i></i> She yelled and stomped her prosthetic foot.

Sato looked over at her and pushed his glasses up the bride of his nose with his pointer finger. -You look good in, what is that? Fuscia?<i></i> He asked before he returned his attention back to his work.

-Pay attention to ME!<i></i> Akane shouted as her hand knocked a glass beaker off of a nearby counter.

-Akane, be careful, you have no idea what is actually in there,<i></i> Sato cautioned as he put down his device and began to approach her.

-I don’t care about being careful! I don’t care about being human! I just want to live!<i></i> She yelled at him and carelessly knocked off a second glass beaker onto the white and gray speckled tile floor. -Why won’t you ever be with me! You can’t even stand to look at me can you!<i></i> Tears started to run down the sides of her face.

Sato began to carefully approach her, his hands outstretched. -Darling, I love you regardless of what you have become, I LOVE you for what you were regardless of what you are. You know this,<i></i> he told her calmly as he attempted to wrap his arms around her. Despite the fact that she was made of metal more than flesh, she still felt fragile as he pressed her against him.

She buried her face into his chest, -I am just so tired of being alone.<i></i>

The chemicals she had knocked to the floor began to produce a noxious gas. It left a bitter, metallic taste in the mouth and it burned the nares. She attempted to peel herself from her husband who held her tight a moment longer. -Something is wr--<i></i> She fell to the ground before she completed what she was about to say. Both the substances she spilled were entirely harmless, but the dropper the good doctor held behind her back was something different entirely. It was a knockout gas that worked entirely independent of the spilled substances but at least she would have something to blame besides him wh3en she awoke. He brushed away a strand of hair that covered her face and shook his head, she really was a mess but at the very least she was still alive after all of these years and this time he would protect her in his own way.

He placed her onto a surgical table and he removed the prosthetic limbs. They had corroded and rusted over the past five years but they still moved well, that much he could credit that sadistic Sennin. Those limbs disgusted him because of their Suna origin. It was a taunt and he knew it, Akane was too ill to survive any immediate action and now that her strength has been regained and his diminished army has regained some substance, he would replace her arms with something of substance.

***Darn you all for not allowing me to bounce from one kinjutsu to another like some bounce from abilities “ I am going to have to skip this entire story arc IC and place this together for a kinjutsu application. ***

Well, something happens and her arms are replaced with those of flesh and blood and a seal is painted onto their points of fusion. She was human now entirely, just it was not her own bone and flesh, rather that of others. She was not the woman she once was, she was an abomination.
<B>

When she awoke, she found herself whole in one sense. She had arms and legs that could feel. She was no longer in pain and in theory she was whole once again. Yet, this was something done without her consent and she was enraged that her husband did this to her. Although the prosthetics disgusted her as well, his alteration of her body was considered an assault. She woke up enraged and she blamed him for her past and present pains. She stormed out of Udon with no place to go. Sato did not pursue her, he assumed that she would return after a few hours. He assumed that she would understand and thank him. But she did not come back.

Akane knew little of the world outside of her immediate circle. Her youth was spent in a war-torn world and most of her adulthood was in a slumber. She had been awake for 5 years and all of those years she had been exclusively at Sato’s side in Udon. She only knew two places: Sand and Udon. She returned to Sand, not because she owed sand her allegiance, but because she did not know where else to go. So she returned to Sand. She would rejoin the Sunan army. She would kill the Sennin that was the catalyst for her pain. She would destroy the legacy of Nori by ending the Kazekage reign. She was destroy Sunagakure from the inside and then she would get revenge on her lover for betraying her flesh and her trust.

She returned to Sunagakure, the seals that covered her body resembled tattoos and she called them such. She changed her name, she was no longer -Akanesawa Kana or as those close to her, -Akane. She would be known as -Tamasawa Kana, and she would be a reflection of their sullied souls. She would break them, she would break them all,

She entered Sunagakure as an assumed traveler. She claimed that she had received training in her youth during the Waterfall War, an accurate statement that was easy for her to remember. She claimed that she was trained as a shinobi in Waterfall, a now destroyed village they would not have records that could be recovered. She claimed that she was seeking refuge from the elements and the rogue warriors of the world and that she would offer her allegiance to Sunagakure because of their great strength and the awe that this nation held in her heart. She fabricated a false life that involved a husband and children, all lost to her because of disease as they carved a life for themselves out in eastern Wind Country along the coast. She claimed that she was lonesome and that she needed the companionship of a people and that she would be willing to work with them if they would be willing to take her under her wing.

Although reluctant, she was accepted into Sunagakure and enrolled in the academy as one of the oldest students in history. It was likely assumed that the shame or irritation of being treated as a child would make her either depart or show her true colors but she stuck it out and graduation with ease at the top of her class several months later. She then entered the Genin Ranks and became the part of a small Genin Cell made up of herself and a much younger captain and even younger cellmates. She excelled and proved her merit as a shinobi and as a -model citizen. She applied for the Medic Exam, her true forte and she passed the exam with flying colors. She moved steadily through the ranks to the point she is today.

With the recent loss of a Kazekage and the initiation of a new Kage as well as the removal of the former council, the village is presently in a state of reformation as well as a point of weakness. Soon it would be time to act.

Poison Mastery

It was never a secret in her youth that she had a keen scientific mind, especially when it came to the semi-natural substances conjured in her lab. That was in part why she was given the title of medic as well as the eventual title of Sennin in the medical field, but that was a lifetime ago. Now, with a different name and a different face she returned. Her husband had lost his mind and he was nearly unrecognizable, her body was deformed and was no longer her own. She was a new woman with an old mind.

She was a habitual users of the very poisons meant to disable, it was a personal shortcoming, a hope that her senses would eventually dull. They never did, it was always the same temporary respite. No longer in a shining lab with crystal clear vials, she manufactures her liquid curses into aged bottles of various previous uses. She placed a cork in her final deep blue bottle to hold its precious cargo in place before she added it to her satchel. It clinked against the other still warm bottles as it rested in place. Anticoagulation would be an effective asset.

Two decades earlier she was on the brink of discovery, it was unfortunate how she lost the specifics over time. Without her notes she would likely never be able to replicate her life's work, the very item that had in fact once cost the former Sennin her life. Eternal life was not all that it was cracked up to be, that much she was certain. The ability to grow old with the one she loved was something she longed for and it was also something that was stolen from her. She would one day regain what she had lost, but until then: back to work.

What else can a chemical force a body to do?

WC: 313

Dual Wielding

She was strong, it came naturally to her in her youth and with these dark limbs from unnamed sources her abilities were regained. She was never a swordsman by nature, she was a healer and a scientist at heart always. Yet, it was put of pure necessity that she learned the art of the blades she wielded and through them that truly learned how to use her body. Just as with most scholars, she was no exception with her passion for piles of literature and desire to be the first to discover the unknown that she allowed her body to become deficient.

It was her HOLY WEAPON that she carried and what she had mastered in her youth, but it was rare that her skill was ever put to use, even during the great shinobi wars. It was her limbs that brought use of her weapon to her. Her limbs were not her own, rather they were stolen trinkets of affection given to her by her now distant husband. When they replaced her puppet limbs, she hated these discolored pieces of meat that hung off from her.

Part of her hated Sato for forcing them upon her, but they became a part of her as if they were her first. Her skill with the blade was superior to it before her coma in a short period of time. She would eventually come to believe that her arms once belonged to a true swordsman, someone more capable of holding a blade than she ever was, even if it was a blade by birthright. Her non-dominant hand nearly as capable as her main, she took a smaller weapon to her left hand. With time and with practice she wondered if her skills would improve or if this old woman was out of tricks.

Only time would tell.

WC: 305

Ambidexterity

It took time and a small bit of forgetfulness to find self-acceptance so that she could move forward, even if it was not her two legs that propelled her. She practiced with her weapons, her great HOLY WEAPON as well as her lesser offhand weapon. She had too many people to kill to remain concerned about what she was any longer. She would get answers from her victimizers once and for all.

At first she was off-balance but capable of slashing with her main hand and then poking with her offhand as she backed away for her next attack. Hack and slash and continue to make them bleed, that was the plan. It was so simple and so barbaric, hardly something that a once dedicated scientist would desire. But she had a new name and a new body... she was a new person with a forgotten past.

Her arms had an innate skill that through practice and rigorous training she was able to fully develop their awful potential. She would end her days tired and wheezing from her day's exertion, a price the old always had to pay for development. Her great weapon seemed resistant to damage, but the same could not be said of her lesser weapon. She replaced the bladed weapon of her left hand several times as overuse was too great of a burden for the weapon to tolerate. Over time she finally developed the strength and the skill to use two weapons at once. Her center of balance had changed and through continued practice she was able to skillfully use both her great weapon and her small dagger.

She continued with the pair and attempted to replace the small weapon for a larger one, such as a second great weapon to no avail. It would be a process, but she would eventually be a master with a pair of great blades.

WC: 315

Puppeteering

She was once a puppet. Well, perhaps not entirely a puppet, but her limbs were replaced at one point with those of prosthetic limbs built in a similar manner to those a puppet would maintain. It was queer how similar they were to her own in some ways, perhaps that was merely a phantom sensation that played tricks on her mind.

The chakra channels were similar to hers. It was much like a young deer minutes after birth learning how to stand on its two legs. There was a natural knowledge in their use, they were not an extension of her former self; they were a replacement for her former self.

She found herself longing for her prosthetics once flesh and bone were placed in her sockets once more. They lacked sensation and leached her chakra but they felt natural by now. She spent her first months whole tinkering with her former limbs. They were quite detailed despite the signs of wear. She toyed with them much like her husband would toy with human lives.

Her first puppet was made with scrap pieces found in the lab in addition to hr former limbs. her first several attempts were inadequate, she was negligent in the creation of the torso as the chakra was either allowed to too greatly co-mingle resulting in chaos or it was too direct and with no escape leading to a weak and ineffective puppet. With time she created a suitable piece, she had her own theories on puppetry, much of them in great opposition of present day theory. It seemed effective enough, it moved and it fought under her command.

This was just the start. She would become a master over her present body and her former through these creations. She still had much to learn, with her child-like understanding of puppets she would build into something far greater than the world had ever seen before.

WC: 319

Puppet Master

She was a puppet user, but only in hobby. It was the chakra strings that she had mastered, just as any novice could. But a true master is not one that can only use an item, they truly understood it. She did not fully understand, she only used.

It would take time for her to truly understand what a puppet was. A puppet was a copy of a human being at least in places where it counted for her: the chakra channels. There were of course necessary modifications, such as organic energy. there was no hear to protect nor was there a need to supply one, but the heart was the focal point of energy for man for a reason. IT ALWAYS WAS ABOUT THE HEART. it sounded corny but it was the truth. She needed to create a filter at the core of the puppet, something she never found in conventional pieces one could purchase.

With this revelation she created a chamber at the core of the puppet, something capable of taking a hit without being ultimately destroyed while at the same time capable of taking in energy and then making use of it so that it was not energy lost. It spun on an internal axis that responded to the energies that flowed within it. The energies were not allowed to flow back through the limbs once they entered as it would only result in the chaos she once knew, rather it was used to supply accessories.

Much like that of man who takes in the energies of the world around them through their skin and their mouth, the puppet too took in the energies and made use of them. It was a dangerous theory that could have had explosive consequences if she had not taken every last precaution. if the energy stored was too great, then it would become a bomb rather than a fighting utensil.

In the end she was successful, with this better tool she would become a master.

New BL/CA:
Hashigaki

Reason that the new BL/CA matches your character:

Born blind (since this is a requirement, otherwise I will change this), she never knew she was blind throughout her youth until she was asked what her favorite color was. She was able to "see" but it was never with her eyes, but rather with the vibrations made by every sound in existence. The sound of a scurrying mouse or the distant tick of a clock was like a church bell in her mind, the world never in a haze. This state was not a creation of the the youth, rather a state of her blood. She never knew her parents, or if there was a time, she was too young to recall. Her bloodline mastery was delayed in comparison to other shinobis because of this, she did not achieve full bloodline mastery until she was 22 years old, most of her discoveries being a result of trial and error.

ANBU/Med-Nin/AIT/MIT?:

Medic if it is possible, if we can only birth into the main-branch upon rebirth then I will do with that.

Age: 25
Gender: Female

Quick Character Description:

Short in stature, she stands at 5 foot even. Due to her blindness she often wears a variety of styles, most of them not matching or even put on backwards because she never realized that they were supposed to be worn in another fashion. Despite her visual set-back she has the vanity of any twenty-something in their physical prime and often relies on others to "look beautiful." Of course, this is an opportunity for some to take advantage of her disability and she is left to look the part of the fool.

She has large, beautiful green eyes, a trademark of her family legacy. They are useless yet act as fine adornments. Her skin is as pale as would be expected of a subterranean person as she has rarely seen the light of day. Her hair is long and brown, it reaches her waist although she usually wears it pulled back into a braid because she finds her hair to be in the way.

The is a minimalist by nature when it comes to jewelry and other adornments. She does not wear a headband or other piece of regalia that marks her status in the village as a member, shinobi or even Takahashi. As for the Sunan adornments, she does not wear them because she cannot see them so they make no difference to her. As for her family, she wears no mark because she was adopted and as such only carries their name, not their blood or their rights.

Character History:

She was born underground as most children likely were for the past three decades due to the raging storms above. She was adopted by the Takahashi family at a young age and raised as one of them. Although she was born blind, she and her family were unaware of this fact for many years and she grew up as any shinobi child that lived underground would. She entered the academy at the age of eight and did well through her academic career on practical examinations but surprisingly she did poorly (always 0's) on any written exam. This delayed her progression through the school, she was twelve when they discovered her disability. It was then that they discovered why she was limited on examinations and given the opportunity she graduated quickly from the academy and joined the ranks of other Genins.

As a Genin she felt out of place, many were younger, some significantly so as they were protegees and in comparison she felt insufficient. Her family also made her feel that way as well as they were forced to face the fact that she had limitations that they had not realized. Despite the fact that she functioned well enough that her blindness was not even noticed throughout most of her childhood, 'disabilities' are a strike to the pride of most and her family was no different. They did not want her blindness to become common knowledge, being prideful people they sought to 'protect' their daughter (and especially themselves) from public ridicule by keeping her from main-branch shinobi efforts. It was then that she begun her training as a MiT (assuming that I can enter the Medic Branch upon entry) and begun her training under Akanesawa Kana. Her time under Akanesawa Kana was difficult, she was eccentric but brilliant and she learned a great deal about the human body, specifically its anatomy and physiology as well as how her bloodline could assist her in caring for the ailing.

She trained under Akanesawa for seven years, that was before Akane died. She died in a terrible accident that burried her alive under the rubble of a collapsed tunnel when she was caring for some patients who were injured during a sandworm attack. Although she is "alive" in the physical sense, she was placed in a coma. Shiori has always felt that the tunnel collapse was no accident she has not been able to prove otherwise. Often Shiori can be found singing at Akane's bedside, she feels that Akane can hear her and that somehow her voice was going to help her recover, but so far there has been no change in Akane's condition. Shiori was a Chuunin at the time of Akane's accident. A year later she became a Jounin without incident and has persisted as an active member of the Sunan community.

Note: If main-branch is my only option, then I will have to change this history.

Am I able to do anything besides yen bundles (such as jutsu training) with these.

I will decline a Kinjutsu at this time, if I elect to take one at a later date I will earn it with whatever the present (at that future time) system is.

I have a PM to Kuro with additional questions/needs.

You need a personality added under your description.

Jounin aproved, but you will need the medical sennin's approval for full mednin. And in addition, you will need to add more about your time in the medical department (how you were trained, your skills as a medic, etc) or you will be suggested for MiT.

Sousuke will need to give his approval to be part of the Takahashi family line here. I you need to add anything more in your history about the relations to the Takahashi, you will need to ask him about it.

Kuro also miscalculated your stat refund:

Capped Points: 97

(After you are capped, the remaining stat refund is divided by 2 and so you have 195/2 = 97.5 or 97 points.)

So you will also need to re-due your jutsu rank ups. Sorry about that. After you're done with all the changes, please copy both your OCR and jutsus and post them together under my reply. Thank you.

Alright.

[1] Description of Personality:
Shiori is a simple, kind, trusting person. She does not seek vengeance or harbor ill will towards anybody in particular. It is not that the girl is a saint or that she is inherently a "good person" at heart, rather she has no specific reason to hate anybody. Some would suggest that she would have a hatred towards her family because of the punishments she had suffered for her failings as a youth but she does not see them as monsters or terrible people, it is just the only reality she knows. In fact, they are responsible for the fact that she is even alive as they took her in and raised her as their own. Some would also suggest that she would be bitter towards the academic institution that neglected to notice her blindness, but as it is a part of her bloodline talent and curse, for the most part she does not function as a blind person would. She never bumped into objects, she recognized her peers by the sounds of the clothes they worse, the reverberations of sound off of their form to give them shape as well as the sounds of their voice. It was reasonable for the to assume dyslexia, stupidity or laziness on her part as the cause of her failures.

She is rather intelligent despite her foolish for the most part exterior. She can read into people, intentions and situations better than she is often credited for. She has a love for opera, fuzzy objects and baking, although the later two often lead to hilarious outcomes. She is desperate for friendship, companionship and living on the surface world safe from the diamond storms.

[2] Medic History

A call was already made but I wrote this--
There really is not a lot to say about her transition from a main branch Genin to MiT, she was older than most Genins her rank and physically more capable despite her poor grades. Once her disability was discovered it was a source of great shame for both of her adopted patents, of course they tried to heal her of her infirmity but that was a useless attempt. Her blindness was an inherited trait that came with birth, not the product of a tragic disease process or accident. Chakra manipulations, health sciences and even questionable practices proved ineffective. Perhaps there was nothing wrong with her eyes at all, perhaps it was something to do with her brain, the occipital lobe is the source of vision for most, perhaps hers lacked something that others had. Of course that was the cause of her blindness, not something she would learn until a significantly later date as her auditory capacity had to come from someplace, and it in fact does come from not only the normal auditory centers of the brain but also where her sight should have been.

Akanesawa Kana was an average Medic, not a field shinobi but rather a hospital one. She had cared for Shiori on several occasions and as such became rather familiar with the young girl’s plight. A harsh society such as theirs was no place for a crippled young woman. Of course she would try to be a shinobi, it was an expectation of her family but her life would likely prove to be harsh and short. It was not because of the young girl’s perceived potential that Akane took Shiori under her wing, but rather pity and perhaps the fact that she saw a bit of herself when she looked at the struggling youth.

Shiori was essentially illiterate so textbooks were useless, something that was noted early. In addition, many of the examinations made for medics were based on their assessment skills. Both of these weaknesses would eventually become the young woman’s strength. Appearances often confuse practitioners of medicine. Someone can be healthy on the outside but rotten from the inside out. Shiori’s auditory capabilities came in handy, the ability to hear cardiac arrhythmias – such as murmurs was her first noticeable skill. Second was her inability to see, it made it necessary for her to memorize her textbooks because she was not going to be able to look things up. Her books were read to her over and over again until she could repeat her tests for the most part. This made her a valuable asset when traveling because her greatest medical resource was her mind. Finally, the fact that she could not see her patients helped her cope better than others. Seeing a man’s leg ripped off, a disgusting deformity or a terrible death would give many nightmares or have providers seek another profession unless tey found some sick pleasure in another’s disfigurement. It made her a poor plastic surgeon, but that was never where her skill was.

When Akane felt that Shiori was ready, she had her apply for MiT. As an MiT she was expected to show prioritization, known to many as triage. Placed with an illusionary scenario she as well as other MiT hopefuls was to prioritize who to save and who treatment would have to wait on. The scenario was a battle zone rather than a hospital setting, something many MiT’s hopefuls were unfamiliar with, Shiori being no different. Shiori had hypothesized that in a battle situation, the more dire patients would likely have to be left to die while those moderately or mildly injured would be treated first. It would be a cruel choice but a necessary one in times of battle where those mildly and intermittently injured could be patched up so that they may return to battle where as those with dire injuries would not be able to return to the battle and likely succumb to their injuries anyways. With this assumption she care for her “patients”, although more of her patients died in comparison with the other MiT hopefuls because the most severely injured were treated last she had more battle-ready shinobi in comparison to her peers. This was what they were looking for apparently because she was elevated to Medic-nin shortly thereafter.

She was faced with several opportunities where she was expected to prove herself once again. In the first scenario she was asked to assist in the torture a traitor using her medical skills in exchange for the opportunity for career advancement. It was a situation she declined; although there was a good chance that the scenario would be illusionary she determined that she would not push her medical ethic (to do no harm) aside for the chance to excel in her field. In a later opportunity she was asked once again to perform a questionable procedure, it involved using the body parts of a slain shinobi with another relatively healthy person who had no need for the parts. Once again she declined the opportunity.

She was then given a third opportunity, in this case she was caring for a patient that was a traitor once again to Suna and was instructed to obtain information from her patient and give it to ranking offers in Sand. This particular situation placed her in a difficult moral situation, one where she had a promise of fidelity to both her patient as well as the Sunan government. The patient was entitled to confidentiality and the government was entitled to her loyalty. Where in the previous instances others could perform the task she was offered, in this case she would not be able to defer this to another. She would have to make a decision that would affect either her patient or the safety of Suna. It took her some time to ponder the ramifications of both options, it was then that she determined that she would not violate her patient’s trust but she would also serve her village. She agreed to obtain whatever information she could in regards to the “traitor” but at the same time she also sought to differentiate what she would share and what she would not. She also told the traitor what she was doing and why. She urged the patient to share the information themselves and to honor their village rather than their selfish ambition. In the end, she did not share any information, the “patient” did. Of course all three situations were a ruse and she would have gained nothing if she had done exactly as she was asked. It was an assessment of her moral standards and to who/what she was loyal to.

She continues to quietly practice in Sunagakure.

She makes efforts to be a good person the best she knows how.

She attempts to advance her understanding of the world around her.

Old Character Name: Akanesawa Kana

Low: Ranged Accuracy

New BL/CA:
