Age: 13.
Gender: Female.
Sex: Female.
Physical Description:
Thick filaments of hair cascade against her ears in large pastel pink ringlets, framing the contours of her childish façade. On good days she tends to prop these ringlets up in either twin pigtails or a single one, the strands held taut together by an exuberantly coloured striped bow. Milky lids would part to reveal a set of bright azure optics, a little something she’d inherited from her parents. Rising from the earth at a mere 140 centimetres, her stature is anything but intimidating. Dainty limbs seemingly scream fragility beneath a skin of seamless alabaster & her lack of curves, odd collarbones & rounded cheeks are often an avid source of critism (both internally & externally). In other words it appears as if she’d skipped puberty all together and kept the premature body of a ten year old.
Mental Description: Akayaki Megumi, a sweet little cupcake, they title her ‘first loves’ & x’s & o’s. Cheeks as delicate & as dainty as tissue paper, with the perfect dints in her rounded cheeks probably tinted pink with the dearest ruby she could lay her claws on, or more likely, the heart of a boy. At first glance Megumi is a strong girl – little lioness’ eyes are seemingly made out of diamond, more than ready to pierce through the unlucky with so much as a glance – but, rumour says she’s like a toothache once you get to know her. Probably will light up the crevices of your jaw & burn fireworks against the roof of your mouth with such ‘sweetness’. ..
.. Sarcasm, of course.
To be quite frank, she’s like a sheep in wolf’s clothing. Little lioness masks fear with sharp, outright flicks of tongue – impudence is seemingly personified in the said femme & the very attitude elicited on the individuals she’s surrounded herself with has caused quite the abundance of snobby remarks: such a waste of a pretty face, they always chime. Though, despite this, she acts as if she’s oblivious to her surroundings, to their remarks—she doesn’t want to seem too interested in others now does she. When in fact, their words bite down on the very foundation that is Akayaki Megumi – behind closed doors she agrees. There’s no room for public victimisation, for everything comes out when those very doors have closed. She is her own predator. She is her own worst nightmare.
History:
Born in the autumn to a renowned medical ninja father and a mother who hadn’t even passed the rank of genin, Akayaki Megumi welcomed the world with big, bubbly blue eyes & an incessant desire to know absolutely everything about her surroundings. Such had shown to be quite the quandary for the parents, as the trait had proven to be both fruitful and well… annoying. More often than none had they found their darling daughter indulging in things a girl her age shouldn’t have been – by the mere age of seven she’d just about gone through every single piece of medical equipment her father had made the mistake of leaving around, along with the occasional stickybeak poking her nose through the hospital window when said father was operating on a patient. Because of this, along with the fact that she was quite the fan of reading – Megumi was almost always at the top of the class when it came to theory, while unfortunately the latter subject wasn’t as easy for her as one would expect. What she lacked in brawn and precision, she made up for in brains and speed – sure, she couldn’t throw a kunai and have it reach the target most of the time, but in the same exact time it took to throw such, she was quite brilliant at forming a quick getaway plan to flee the scene completely.
Despite this, though, she’d never really aspired to follow in either of her parent’s footsteps – medical ninjutsu terrified her, the thought of having someone’s whole life held between her flimsy fingertips, while she didn’t want to ditch ninjutsu all together as her mother had. It was quite the pickle.
But of course, she was only thirteen – “surely with hard work and dedication she’d be able to make a real ninja out of herself.” That was her mother’s favourite quote. Megumi thought that maybe, just maybe, she should pull up her chin and take what her mother said into account, for once.
Maybe a miracle could happen.
