[spoilername="General Description"]Akihana Mizuki is a beautiful blossoming child. Her appearance is earthly and autumn in nature. At the age of thirteen Mizuki seems to be sprouting up faster than the other little girls. Her deeply tan fawn brown complexion makes her stick out a little more among the crowd. Ribbons adorn her dark chocolate waves and natural auburn and bronze highlights ride the crown of her head. Her slight rounded face is accented by an ash grey right eye from her grandmother and an emerald grey right eye from her grandfather. Sneaking out has started to tone her soft frame and the beginnings of hip will soon start her journey into woman hood.
A bit of a tomboy and nature lover Mizuki likes to get her hands dirty. Climbing trees and hanging upside down is one of her favorite past times. She is very well grounded and even tempered. With her flowering appearance she will open up to some over time. And though not exactly afraid of boys, her interactions seem harsh to them. One can easily tell Mizuki isn’t afraid of a fight. Yet, she is slow to place her hands on others out of anger. Her softer side is portrayed predominately through thoughts of her sister Izumi. Some things make her weepy eyed in a longing yet prideful way concerning her missing sister. Izumi who was more of a sissy would draw, write, and play music beautifully. She even taught Mizuki how to play the flute from time to time. Izumi is the main reason she seeks to study at the academy.[/spoilername]
[spoilername="Family History"]The Akihana family name stems back to her grandfather Meigetsu. Being of Mongolian decent he came to Japan trying to escape his past. Fortunately, it has yet to catch up with him. Unfortunately, he has witness horrors and in retaliation caused suffering to those who stood in his way. He has scorch marks covering his entire right arm and most of his chest, as well as slash marks on his back. They only hint as to the evil his emerald green eyes have seen. Rare are the occasions that he talks freely of his past to anyone. Even amongst those he sees following his way Fumi, Nowaku, and now Mizuki.
Meigetsu chose the name Akihana attempting to leave his old ways behind. He chose “Aki” to represent the season of his birth as well as his rebirth/arrival in Japan. “Hana” would follow as his affinity to nature and plants did follow him. Meigetsu seeks to atone for his misdeeds by farming and giving generously in his new found homeland. He met Kyoumechi Fumi as she was heading down a bad path. He used his “gift” to help her grow a patch of Ipomoea Alba or moon flowers which though Fumi adored still withered under even her guileful hand. Fumi was also drawn to Meigetsu’s beautiful dark skin and past. Meigetsu adopted the Ipomoea Alba as a family crest to commemorate culmination of his new found joy in Japan.[/spoilername]
