Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Character Description: Once quiet because of shyness, Kato is still a mainly quiet individual, now due to solitude more than anything. On the outside it seems as if the wild and happy youth who lived in the Leaf is dead, but instead he's simply buried deep under Kato's hard shell. Deep down he just wants to make friends, and find somewhere he can make a life for himself again.

However this pup's pure lineage in being a dingo had made him quite a capable companion, as his bite and sense of smell is nothing short of extraordinary. Koneko is a young grayish brown coyote, with reddish brown markings on her head, muzzle and paws, and her chest is predominantly white in color. She is rather possessive individual and she isn't afraid in showing it, especially when it deals with the protection of her summoner, whether it's by harm's way or by someone's attempt in attaining the heart of her adored summoner, because as far as she is concerned the summoner is -hers-. She tends to speak like the typical tease, flirty and charming, but such side of her can turn foul if summoned within the day time, as she detests being awakened during her usual sleeping hours. But Koneko remains as one of the most useful trackers among the pact, possibly the best, as its near impossible to escape her grasps after she gained your scent.

As stated before, she is by no means the strongest of the pack, however Koneko is indeed packing a little bit of power behind those great senses. She will be quick to swipe her claws at her opponent in order to keep them back and attempt to defend herself. Her sharp claws can deal some decent damage.

Koneko's attachment to her summoner is undoubtedly great, that she feels protecting them comes foremost before herself. Putting her all into whatever she does, she ensures her summoner doesn't fall within harm’s way.

He's a pure bred husky with a copper red coat, white muzzle and stomach, and a long curled bushy tail in which he's quite fond of, as its rather fluffy and soft. But don't you dare try to outsmart him, as he will verbally put you in place, and don't you dare believe he cannot fight simply because of his decorum. Akihiko has unique abilities favored by many, and one of the many reasons why he was granted such a high rank among his kin.

Akihiko latches unto the summoner, and teleports himself and the summoner away to a safe distance; although this technique is normally used in order to track down an opponent whom tries to escape during the midst of battle.

Effect 1: May be used defensively exactly like body switch
Effect 2: May be used offensively to catch someone mid-body switch with a basic attack

Special Action: May have Akihiko use this on the summoner, granting them -1 round needed to run away. May only be used once per attempt.

Cost: 560 CP and 1.5 AP.

Effect: Summons Four dogs, each attacking for 470 damage each. All have a +5% chance to cause bleeding. Once summoned, costs 0 AP to send a dog out to attack. Once an attack by a dog has been made or if the dog was attacked, the dog withdraws.

A medium sized canine, it’s a very well-known fact that Eiki is a mutt. Her mother a wolf and her father a rather lucky dog, her coat is surprisingly snow white which is only marred by the odd looking black patch of fur in the shape of a crescent moon on her forehead. Growing up it wasn't easy for Eiki being a half breed as she was, but it was Ezo who took her in as a friend and protected her.

When Ezo rose to the rank of Alpha male within the wolf pack and proceeded to bridge the gap between dogs and wolves alike, Eiki was right at his side. Passionate about her role in the pack and even willing to help those who were weaker than her, one could call her the packs nurse. Even considering all that she had done for the pack, it was to her surprise that Ezo her best friend asked her to be his life mate. Now the alpha female and beta to only her mate, Eiki is the ultimate example of the underdog turned royalty.

Said to be able to channel the moons powers into her very being, Eiki has learned how to use that power to her benefit over the course of her lifetime. This is reflected in the terrifying howl that she emits when angered that begins in her throat and radiates outward unleashing a bright light that both blinds and confuses her foes. It’s with this attack that she’s able to pummel her foes into submission.

Effect: Gives enemies targetted a -2 Dodge and Accuracy to Melee attacks. And has a 25% chance to disrupt each action to those effected for the remainder of the round.

Eiki races towards her foe, allowing her full weight to slam down onto an opponent. Though not the largest canine, even moving at top speed her weight has been known to cause fractured bones depending on how much momentum she manages to build.

Effect: One attack at 1875 damage. 10% chance to cause a called shot to a random location.

Cost: 705 CP and 2 AP

Luna's Blessing - B-Rank Healing Ninjutsu said:
What many canines don’t know about Eiki is that while it’s true that she’s a mutt, she’s not a mutt in the traditional sense. Yes her mother was a wolf and her father was a mere lucky dog, but it's believed her mother was a moon spirit or goddess disguised as a wolf and her father was the brave dog who saved her life while she was in a weakened state while battling a powerful foe. The blessing granted to her father from the moon goddess was the bearing of a child, between them in unison, which was to be Eiki. Thought, her father whereabouts is unknown so such a tale cannot be confirmed, but the power of the moon is readily at her call, as the moon always shine down its praises among her like a mother watching over its only daughter.

Effect: Heals up to 2 chosen allies in the fight by 5% of their maximum HP per round activated.
Cost: 910 CP, 455Cp/round and 2.5 AP to initiate

Were-form - A-Rank Ninjutsu said:
Said to be the final tool of power for any canine, their were-form Is what many a legend are written about. A gift from the great moon goddess, Ezos and Eiki were-form stems from the seal on her forehead that gives off an odd chakra signature. While Ezos is one of darkness (dark), Eikis is one of light (holy) which translates into more of a reverential awe than a true fear. Gaining the ability to stand on two legs and growing a more humanoid appearance. Eiki is beautifully terrifying sight when she goes on the hunt, and just the sight of her very fur blind those with sinful hearts from looking upon such a benevolent creature. It is in this form that she tends to leave her mark on the world by leaving tell-tale signs of whom she has battled. If one does ever survive a battle with Eiki in her were-form then it’s soon apparent on the first full moons light who the real victor is.

Effect: +1 to all secondaries and +10% Melee damage
Cost: 2750 CP to initiate, 1375 CP to maintain and 3 AP.

Ezo

A true alpha male, Ezo earned his way to the top by fighting off all the other contenders. Caring in his dealings with the pack yet firm in his determination to preserve it, he's far from what one would consider soft. His coat's a jet black and his eyes a cool blue, Ezo is large even by wolf standards and with that size his power matches appropriately. What’s interesting about Ezo is that there is a strange white mark on his forehead shaped like that of the crescent moon. Stranger still, it is supposedly said that he was such a valiant fighter for the moon goddess in his previous life that she granted him the ability to turn into a man on a full moon. With this power it’s said that he created the first contract between the canines and the humans. In his current incarnation, he’s simply the alpha male that nobody has the stones to test.

He truly lives up to his title as Head of this clan, having the will of one thousand men with something worth fighting for. He cuts no slack to anyone, expecting the best out of any and everyone. Ezo prefers to be treated with respect, as a means of recognizing his hard earned rank. He is not without his manners, however, and will treat one who has earned his respect with loyalty and friendship. In battle he is fearless, a prowler, and a powerful foe. Preferring to battle to the end rather than run away. He is definitely an ally you'd want on your side.

There’s just something about being the Alpha of the pack that gives one a boost in confidence as well as skill. No doubt this stems from all the countless battles that he’s endured as well as the test of becoming the Alpha male of the pack. It isn’t so much the fact that Ezo is the greatest among the canines, but the fact that his rank demands respect and often precedes him. Such being the case, it’s said that when just in his presence that one tend to feel inferior to him and the instinctive thing to do when around him is to simply obey.

Claw affinity - Passive said:
Ezo's claws are not only sturdy but they are razor-sharp allowing him to easily tear into the flesh and bone of any enemy. After using his claws through countless battles, they became his most proficient weapon on the battlefield, second to nothing.

Effect: May use any E to B Rank shop Slashin Taijutsu.

- All jutsu used this way cost +15% CP.

Midnight Masquerade - B-Rank Ninjutsu said:
Tapping into his inner powers, Ezo calls upon the moons light to shine no matter what time of day or night. It could be the night of a new moon and Ezo would still find some mysterious way to drag the light of his goddess to shine upon him and his pack once more. Said to be the cause of more deeply entrenched fears and horror stories, the full moon is what gives any canine their greatest strength. For Ezo this culminates in him growing more fear inspiring as the seemingly endless midnight hour stretches on. It’s little wonder then that the howl howled last is the one that is remembered the most.

Effect: 20% chance to induce Fear Effect in enemies causing a 35% chance to fail an action.
Cost: 2.5 AP and 1,095 Cp to initiate, 550 Cp/Rnd.

- A person can only be effected by fear once per round.
- Can target 2 opponents per round.
- Jutsu failure lasts for each action until it is successful.
- Lasts up to 3 rounds.

Shooting the Moon - Activated Passive said:
Tapping once again into his dark reservoir of power, Ezo coats himself in a dark energy stemming from his moon seal and attacks his opponents through the sheer power of fear. So great is his power that he actually begins to leak energy due to being unable to contain it and even in his were-form the added damage can be said to make his opponents wobble in fear. One could say that Ezo is drunk with power when he goes into this state of attack but that would only be telling half the story. Even the moon quakes with fear when Ezo puts his all into the battle.

Effect: Boost all melee damage done by Ezo by 15%, all melee damage bypasses barriers.
Cost: 290 CP to initiate, 145 CP to maintain and 1 AP

Alpha's Call - Activated Passive said:
Giving the signal as it were, Ezo howls into the night (or day) in order to summon his pack to him. This in turn gives him the jump on all his enemies as he is never truly alone. What should be noted about this call is that there is never a single dog or wolf missing when given and that there never is an interruption when he speaks. It’s as if Ezo is speaking from the very mouth of a god and for those that believe in him, it can be easy to see why he is so loved by those who loyally serve under him.

Effect: Allows the summoner to summon one additional creature from the Canine Contract.

Cost: 1000 CP and 1.5 AP

Omnipotent Saliva - B-Rank Ninjutsu said:
Said to possess one of the most potent healing factors through their saliva, Ezo can regenerate faster than most, turning serious wounds into minor cuts at the blink of any eye. His generosity is not limited, however, as he will waste no time in coating an ally in the disgusting liquid in order to prevent them from harm.

Effect: The user may reduce Bleeding or Called Shots by 2 ranks

Special Action: Ezo may, instead, have his special saliva swallowed, healing 8% max Hp back.

Cost: 2.5 AP and 910 Cp to initiate.

Notes:
- Can target himself or an ally.
- Swallowing the Saliva does not reduce penalties.
- May only heal up two penalties at a time.

Were-form - A-Rank Ninjutsu said:

[spoilername="Character History"]~Age 10 - Academy Student~
Kato had a fairly unremarkable childhood, growing up in the Fire Country. His father was an inventor and traveling salesman. While less successful than was ideal, the man had a good heart and did his best to provide for their family. In order to help with the income, Hazashi’s mother worked as a cleaning lady for a couple of the more prominent families in the fire country. As a result of both parents working so often, Hazashi was raised mainly by his three older sisters: Rin, Tenshin, and Kiera. While they were very kind, and Kato loved them dearly, they also had a less than desirable habit of dressing him up as a girl. With the youngest still being 4 years older than himself, there was not much Kato could do to fight them off either. Instead he was forced to act as their toy doll on many occasions.

When Kato was 9 the family received some good news. The Konoha Corporation which runs the Fire Country, had apparently heard of the work Kato’s father did. As a result, they decided to offer him a job with the company in their research and development, feeling that his mechanical ingenuity might help them in developing new technologies. Kato’s father graciously accepted and the family was moved to Konohagakure, the bustling center of Fire Nation.

At first Kato did not enjoy the move. A part of him resented his parents for removing him from everything he had already known, but slowly he is beginning to come around. With an increased income, the family gets to spend more time with both their parents, and Kato’s sisters now have lots more things to do and pick on him less. The young boy has even begun exploring the village in an attempt to meet others his age.

A few weeks before his 10th birthday Kato came across the shinobi academy in leaf, and spent a day watching the kids train. It seemed like fun, and it struck him as a good way to make friends, so without much else thought he begged his parents to enroll him in the academy. Within a few weeks they finally agreed.

After starting at the academy, Kato quickly made a few friends. He discovered that his Father was an Akimichi who had died when Kato was little, and also met his aunt, who instructed him in the proud traditions of their bloodline. It turned out that he was descendant from a powerful group of Akimichi whose family who had lived in lLeaf since before the red rain, and had somehow tapped into a dormant elemental affinity in the Akimichi genes. Kato's great-great-great grandfather passed the affinity down through his genes, and a new Akimichi clan branch, whose powers were tied into Earth jutsu was created. Once his aunt found out Kato had inherited the rare Akimichi-Ishi genes, and at a young age already unlocked an affinity for Earth jutsu, she convinced him to come live and train with her. He eventually left home, though he still cared deeply for his mother and step-father. He liked studying the ninja arts, and spent a lot of his time either training, or hanging out around Leaf with the other Shinobi-to-be. He settled into a bit of an honored place among his cousins, as he was the only one in a generation who had been born an Akimichi-Ishi. His life was good, until one morning when he was out to meet up with a friend, and Kato bore witness to the start of the 'bloodbath brawl'. A couple students he had met from the academy jumped into the fighting, and tried to help the shinobi of Leaf contain the rioting. Kato was going to help too, until he saw that the leaf shinobi were being overpowered. One by one he watched several of his future comrades die in the streets.

~Age 12 - Refugee~
The chubby boy panicked, and ran home first, but found that the Akimichi clan house had been abandoned. Fighting had spread to this part of the city, and by this time wherever Kato went there was bloodshed in the streets. He wished he could find his Aunt, or his parents, or his sisters, or even a cousin, but there was no way he would be able to locate them in the throng of violence. The only choice Kato had was to hide in the shadows, keep out of sight, and when he saw that Leaf shinobi were beginning to flee the village, he followed by example. He saw a couple shinobi here and there trying to stop their comrades from fleeing the village, but there was no way the still faithful leaf-nin could catch everyone. A kid like Kato went pretty much unnoticed as he slipped past several pockets of fighting and snuck out the gates. He was sure that his family had left as well, and hoped one day to find them, so he took off quietly into the woods, and never looked back.

The young boy had a hard time of it since leaving the village. he had not paid close attention in many of his survival training courses, and the new challenge of catching and finding his own food wreaked havoc on his Akimichi figure. Over the first few months he taught himself how to survive. He got good at tracking and hunting animals, building fires, and creating shelters. For a long time he stayed in the Fire Country, visiting smaller villages where he hoped his family might have found refuge, but never had any luck.

~Age 16 - Mercenary~
Now, after 4 years of living alone, Kato has decided to expand his search. It is clear to him that his family did not stay within the Fire Country like he thought they would have. He had been learning about a proud heritage of shinobi who stayed loyal to the Leaf even through the darkness of the Red Rain, but it seemed this time the clan was not strong enough to stay in Leaf. His clan was no more. There was nothing to rebuild now. The Akimichi-Ishi would never regain their lost glory. Not in Leaf at least. All he could hope to do is find the people he loved, and make sure they're safe.[/spoilername]

Kato is an averaged height boy with a thicker body type. He usually wears a black sleeveless hooded sweater over a shirt made of netting, and a pair of long black shorts. He has purple eyes and medium length brown hair.
~Age 16 - Mercenary~
Kato has grown a bit from the chubby young boy he once was. Still made of a stockier build, living on his own has given him a smaller tummy with more muscle than he once had. He still wears the same black sleeveless hooded sweater and same mesh undershirt, and a pair of long black shorts. He has purple eyes and short brown hair.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="Psychological History"]~Age 10 - Academy Student~
Kato is quiet and shy, but desperately wants to make friends. When he becomes comfortable around people he is wild, loud, and jovial. He loves to have a good time and loves to make people laugh. He hates to see anyone being oppressed or picked on, especially when it is by someone stronger. He will sometimes put himself in harm's way simply to stand up for someone who can't defend themselves.
~Age 16 - Mercenary~
Once quiet because of shyness, Kato is still a mainly quiet individual, now due to solitude more than anything. On the outside it seems as if the wild and happy youth who lived in the Leaf is dead, but instead he's simply buried deep under Kato's hard shell. Deep down he still just wants to make friends, and find somewhere he can make a life for himself again.[/spoilername]
