Name: Mako Akimichi
Age: 10
Physical Description:
Mako stands at an avarage height of 142cms and weighs a little more than some over her other peers at 40kg. She looks broader and a little more intimidating than other girls her age, especially in the way she carries herself. Often Mako is sporting several cuts and scratches and has a bit of a resting scowl. Mako has fair, slightly freckly skin, and a baby face due to her age. Her eyes are chestnut brown, she has a heart-shaped face framed by short spiky bangs. Her light brown hair is about shoulder length when wet, however usually her sharp curls make it only fall to chin length. Mako also has a tenancy to wear clips and ponpons in her hair, usually in a pink or purple colour. Mako likes to dress in pink a lot, but tends to go with baggy shirts and cargo pants a lot.
Mental Description:
Mako is outwardly very brash and abrasive. She tends to say before she thinks and usually ends up butting into things that are none of her business. Mako also has quite the competitive streak. Its easy to manipulate her because she finds the concept of turning down a challenge a hard one to grasp. She is desperate to surpass her older brothers, despite her brashness, is actually a very hard worker. She spends a lot of time practicing at anything she feels inadequate in, weather it's mental or physical.
This being said, Mako is still a girl coming into puberty, and with that comes self esteem issues, childhood crushes and bodily changes. Now that she's strating to notice, while other young girls are developing steadily into slender teenagers, Mako still, in her opinion, looks like a marshmellow. Due to her bloodline, Mako has always grown up around men who like to eat and eat and EAT. But unfortunatly, Mako has gained insecurities that she shows in the form of angry outbursts. She doesn't like to eat with others, and will often turn down going out to a BBQ with her peers. If someone comments on her weight, she has a tendency to start a fight.
Mako has a lot to learn, especially in terms of teamwork. Throughout her childhood she has made it her vs her brothers. or her vs her peers. its hard for her to truly relax because of this. It's only really when she is spending time with her mother.. As her life goes on, Mako will have to learn to think less selfishly or she will fall behind her peers despite her best efforts.
History:
Mako grew up in big family as the youngest of four, all boys except for her. Her mother married into the Akemichi clan, whilst her father was a respected member of the Clan. Her life was always full of people coming in and out of her house. There was rarely a moments peace in her home and it was hard to get her parents full undivided attention because it was split so many ways between her and her brothers. The older she got the more she developed her independent and competitive streaks. She felt she had to fight to be seen at home and it really shaped her as a young lady. While she always made an effort to act confident, and she was actually very insecure. Her mother, who was not in konoichi, but worked as a chef at her high ranking father's favorite BBQ place, was her favorite person to talk to, because she feels the pressure to be seen lift off her shoulders around her. She spends more time with her mother than her father, and as such she feels that he values his son's more than her. She has a difficult time talking to him, and constantly feels the pressure to be better around him, where as with her mother she can just relax.
Unlocking the bloodline
Mako unlocked her bloodline when she was 8 years old, a little bit older than her three older brothers. She was angrily cleaning the dishes, having just lost a bet to her youngest older brother when he came in and started taunting her. He would come over, start pushing the plates back into the sink she'd just washed, splashing her with the water. Him, and the rest of her brothers had also begun telling her that she 'wasn't a real Akimichi or maybe she is adopted. Her face grew red. She wanted to smash the plate she was currently scouring over his stupid fat head for saying it. Not only was it annoying, what what if it were true? What if she could never go to the Academy, what if she wasn't like that, what if she was like her mother? She had a sudden vision of herself working in that sweaty old kitchen for the rest of her life, and her face grew redder. Not only did she crush the plate she was holding but she managed to knock the tap off the sink, near flooding the whole room as her right arm expanded to quadruple it's size, destroying everything in it's wake. Her mother wondered in, seemingly completely unphased and said "I suppose I should start preparing the feast!" Then a pause and a smile "Go tell your father."
