Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kyojin Kuro looked upon the Obsidian palace with an ominous feeling in this particular gut that told him they might have penetrated the dark sanctum. The thought twisted for a moment then he realized if the Cabal had somehow set that particular entity free then they too would be at the very least near death. The Sennin took stock of the lost and bewildered prisoners and nodded to himself as he made his decision. ”Everyone please make a complete gear check because this mission has been made priority to help stop the riots and rampages. While you check over yourselves and your equipment I will speak of the obvious…Ladies Funiko andYuriko, of the Renda Clan, I am a part of Sennin Toraono Kuro and we apologize for the tardiness of your release. Since the nature of your crimes wasn’t lethal only traumatizing mentally and physically on multiple counts you are hereby reinstated into the service of Sunagakure and upon the return of Sennin Mikaboshi you may be reinstated into full ANBU service. Until said time your talents are needed to locate the current threat identified as Shukusatsu, this mission is now upgraded to S rank status as combat is eminent and unavoidable. With this in mind your cursed seals are also reinstated and free to use at your own will and necessity but I warn you now. Your seals have grown in power through contact with the dark ravaging chakra that nullifies the chakra of most nin. Do not use them unless absolutely necessary. Takumi… I must explain, I did not choose you to wield the Nighthawk bow, the entity within the bow chose you because you are special and like he was when he was a living being you are a hunter. Now I must ask you to watch our backs as we go into the depths and face a darkness that has not seen the light of the sun in centuries. Will you aid us?”

While he had checked his equipment a surge of chakra had flickered between the tips of his massive ox like horns. The gem in the center of his brow glowed a bright golden illuminating them all in a warm feeling that reminding them all of basking in the sunlight. He looked at the gaping darkness of the entrance into the black palace. He had never liked coming here, and now he had to face some idiot who would dare tamper with forces beyond comprehension.

The only thing missing from Takumi's arsenal was his notebook and his teammate Gojin. Silently he wondered if he would ever see Gojin again. Had he simply succumb to the power of the curse as a victim? Slowly, Takumi tightened a few of his lose armor braces. This was a lot to take in, but he still needed to hear Kyojin about the next assignment. The mission wasn't over yet.

Kyojin went on to explain to the twins that their official release date had been postponed. Now, they would be reinstated into serving their village. He was especially cautious to warn them about the curse seals still present. Hopefully they wouldn't also succumb to Gojin's unknown fate. Takumi stood up from his sitting position, just about ready. Suddenly, Kyojin turned to him.

"Takumi… I must explain, I did not choose you to wield the Nighthawk bow, the entity within the bow chose you because you are special and like he was when he was a living being you are a hunter. Now I must ask you to watch our backs as we go into the depths and face a darkness that has not seen the light of the sun in centuries."

Takumi thought for a second. The spirit of the bow had identified with Takumi's nature as a hunter. Was that why he was chosen?

"Will you aid us?” Kyojin asked.

"Of course," Takumi grinned. "I wouldn't miss a chance to face whoever's responsible for this."

Kyojin Kuro led the way down into the depths of the Obsidian Palace, Prisoners unable to adapt to life without their jailers lined the walls where they had been slain. The vicious manner of their deaths showed they had either been crushed or stabbed outright, multiple times. Kuro carefully checked and removed each body from the walls they had been hung upon. He placed them on medical carts, and gurney's, closing the eyes of the damned when necessary. It was a rather obvious way of discouraging visitors and keeping the remaining prisoners in check so to speak. After the fifteenth body and having gone two floors down the scent of blood intensified and the bodies looked like husks. As they came upon the central four way point of the fifth floor of the black citadel, they were all forced to stop as a massive wall of bodies blocked their way. With a reluctant surge of strength and power Kyojin Kuro breached the wall sending desiccated corpses down the other three hallways like fallen dominoes. Laughter began to echo down the main hallway as a monstrous being stepped from the shadows. Shadows seemed to cling to his form as he approached, his seal of remorse had obviously been altered and his body empowered as a shard of a crystal shimmered in the center of his brow. This being was once a man, now he had been altered, and reborn. An ominous feeling filled the chamber as the monstrous Shukusatsu made his presence known.

The twins took up defensive positions at Kyojin Kuro's flanks while Takumi remained hidden a little distance away in the shadow of Kyojin Kuro's bulk.

Shukusatsu smiled eerily "Oh it seems like lunch has finally arrived and you even brought me twins to have as my own pleasure slaves. Thank you so very much, now be so kind as to remove your armor so I may feast upon your flesh."

Takumi was still young, and the tenderness of his age weathered his face as he walked through the dismal halls of the obsidian palace. The torn and mangled bodies of guards and criminals hung from the walls in a lifeless heap. A once bright and crimson blood had dried against the dark backdrop of rusted metal and cracked stone. There was a certain element to being trained as a killer that Takumi had always ignored, and the grotesque scene before him proved to embody its very essence. Murder, killing, and death were things that he wanted to prevent--or at all costs avoid. He stopped for a moment, feeling overwhelmed by the blanket of gore and decay embracing him.

"How did all of this happen?" He said, letting his voice crack beneath the depth of his sudden anxiety.

After a moment, Takumi shook away his nerve and pressed onward with the group. The bodies were only getting worse, and it seemed that Kyojin Kuro was stopping to pick them up less often. They couldn't helped, especially when you could barely recognize them. Takumi had to cover his mouth to keep from throwing up. He had never been trained to handle something like this. The smell was especially unsettling.

As they came to a dark clearing, Takumi could feel the strong sensation of a dangerous presence. Now, he felt much like an animal being approached by its predator. Every bit of his instinct told him to turn around, or to hide. There was no salvation from this threat--no bounty to be had from this curse... There was only death ahead. The others could hear it too... Had the presence manifested? It was a sound now, rather than just a feeling. It was laughter. Takumi shrunk back behind the shadow of his escort, on guard for whomever, or whatever, had set its sights upon them. He readied his bow, holding on to it as if for dear life.

"Thank you so very much," Takumi heard the creature say. And it was a creature--at least it barely looked human. "Now be so kind as to remove your armor so that I can feast upon your flesh."

The bestial entity rushed forward with near inhuman speed only to find itself evenly matched in speed as Kyojin Kuro bulked up just a little and struck him so hard that Shukusatsu was embedded into one of the Obsidian walls. There was an odd sonic vibration as if a heart decided to beat once, extremely heavily and stop in that exact moment. Kyojin Kuro fell to one knee it seemed their exchange had not been one sided as he began to bleed from odd wounds to his chest. Unseen by Takumi due to Kuro's bulk and defensive dimensions Kuro had struck Sukusatsu with a counter strike just he got in range to unleash a multi hit piercing taijutsu that managed to pierce his heavy armor twice upon his right shoulder. Kuro's left hand flickered to signal Takumi to make sure he committed to an attack while the beast was stuck in the wall. Kuro would not call out to him lest Shunkusatsu figure out what Kuro was setting him up for.

double post no jutsu

Kyojin Kuro unleashed a barrage of mass enhanced fists before stepping aside to allow Shukusatsu to be struck by a barrage of arrows which pinned him to a wall that allowed Kuro to finish him off with a massive gravity chakra enhanced fist that completely caved in the maniac Shukusatsu’s skull along with a large section of the wall he had been pin-cushioned upon.. Just as they thought it was over the rest of the wall collapsed revealing several tied up individuals in various states of unconsciousness. It became apparent that portions of multiple walls with special runic writing, some that Kuro himself had reinforced with wards and movement glyphs were simply removed. In some cases by the nature of the ward that should not have been possible.

One of the apparent hostages warns you there are several more monstrous criminals just as dangerous as Shukusatsu had been. Kyojin Kuro nodded and the hunt was on.

One by one Kuro and Takumi hunted the team of cursed seal empowered criminals down. The duet would go down in distinct practice after Shukusatsu, Kyojin Kuro would initiate contact and assault the target before his allies could arrive and although it was noisy and destructive, the swift delivery of lethal arrows that flanked each target as they were distracted by Kuro summarily ended each battle. The targets were taken in such quick succession that many never even noticed Takumi sniping them from down long dark hallways or from tight corners. With the bloody matter over and some disturbing things noted with the missing stones and wards Kuro left the obsidian palace with a heavy heart as to go into any lower levels even with the presence of the Nighthawk bow to hamper the effects was to risk being weakened before the true enemy The Cabal. The twins covered their rear flanks as they penetrated the inner sanctum of the Seven Obsidian Devils. Their seals weren’t demon beast empowered as Kuro studied their remains briefly, so these were not normal Sunan Seals, possible Ancient Mysticism from the runic markings.

As they prepared to depart a series of hyperfast blows knocked Kyojin Kuro backwards only his instinctive cross counter defensive posture and armor saved him from what a normal being would consider lethal wounds. He was too fast to track but in these confined spaces Kuro didn’t have to track him he only needed to keep him away from Takumi. His speed was insane but speed was all he had without open space. The barrage of blows was relentless but little by little Kuro’s cross counter stance allowed small blows to strike despite the target’s innate abilities. The twins tried to flank the target at the last minute only to be completely overwhelmed and knocked unconscious. As it moved for a finishing strike upon one of the twins the giant ogre frame shot forward as massive wall of armor and spikes slamming into her. It was a woman… an incredibly strong woman with eerie dark eyes and a body covered in bruises and scars. Were she not so efficient Kuro would have let his guard down. It was then he saw what she was guarding… It was a large clay bomb. After taking down the other seven criminals Takumi and Kuro had a pattern and Kuro took advantage of that pattern now, knowing that Takumi would have his back as he charged a massive chidori which he was certain the woman would think was for her. Stepping over the unconscious former prisoner Funiko Kuro rushed the hachimon girl as she unleashed another gate intent on striking Kuro first which she did but it did not have the desired effect as Kuro’s arm became a giant lightning infused spear that struck the clay bomb square on rendering it ineffective dust, just as he collapsed from the power of the girls blow she received several pinpoint arrows to critical points of her body completely disabling her. Kyojin Kuro stood up slowly, his body mangled but healing quickly. They had little time to move and they had to go now. With large caring hands Kuro carried the twins and the hostages they had found to the safety of the Throne of Bone, it was time to clear the way home.

Majority of the Obsidian palace spared….
