Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Another Examination for the Future [Akagi's Exam/Privateish]

Listening to his response, I would smirk to myself as I was not surprised at all that another child wanted to be sealed by me. The first child that had been sealed was Chikamatsu Shin, a medic of our village, who agreed to accept this additional power source if he wanted to join the medical branch after his examination which he obviously agreed to. His sealing process had been a somewhat interesting one to say the least as he had been seeing odd things in my clan's training quarters after waking up from being knocked out by one of my guards; these "visions" if you could call them that would also be shared with me which simply amazed me and was something that I certainly would need to add to the ever-growing list of topics that needed further research by the Oracles. But, that was simply the best and Shin was nowhere to be found after I had told him to meet me here and spar with this child who simply was outclassed, but showed a lot of talent and potential. It was due to this raw talent and potential that he likely passed his graduation exam, but of course there would be other factors as well that I would keep disclosed.

In any case, the child in front of me had accepted my offer which would not be a difficult task to accomplish. However like many people in this world, I had my own personal agenda and had more to offer to the kid if so chose to do so. Before we would begin the sealing process, I would summon my sword to my side again before extending it outright to the tip of one of his shoulders as I spoke: "I will begin the sealing process momentarily. However by doing the sealing, I must inform you that you will owe me one favor in the future as an exchange. But by accepting this exchange, I am also willing to take you under my wing and teach you how to better yourself with your sword if you would wish for me to do so. Understand though, I can only do so much for you regardless of your answer to me. Much of this will have to be done by yourself through strengthening your mind, body, and emotions when I am not around and I cannot give you the perfect method of fighting as you have natural talents that vary from my natural talents. But again, I am willing to train you and spar you to make you a better swordsman and shinobi."

After a few moments to allow the child to think over everything that I had just spoken to him, I would look at him again and continue: "So I ask again, Mitsunari Akagi. Are you sure that you want to go through with the sealing process under these conditions and offer? If so, please tell me where you'd like the seal to be on your body and I will begin the process. I will forewarn you that each person who is sealed reacts differently during the process so I cannot ensure you of what will occur with your own body. However, I am the active Medical Chief of the village and thus, I can assure you that you are in great hands." Once again, Akagi had the choice to turn away from the sealing if he wanted to do so because I was not going to forcibly give him a seal if he didn't want one considering I knew what seals could do all too well from seeing my former crush and apprentice fall into the cursed energy from the one that she forcibly received. There was also the fact that I sealed myself before and my body felt terrible and weak after using the seal considering that it drained so much of one's energy while it was in use.

Taken under her wing? Akagi would look quizically up to her as he had made a fool out of himself earlier, however she was now offering him to become his mentor. Akagi's head would tilt up as her sword pointed to his shoulder speaking clearly, "I accept, along with all the hardships it brings, I am not a stranger to working hard either." With this glint of pride in his eye Akagi would hear out the proctor, who would now be his teacher as she spoke on the process of sealing.

After thinking for a moment, Akagi would reach down to his right hand, unraveling the bandages that had been tied onto it so tightly. Once the bandage dangled from his forearm, Miu came to his mind, clenching his first he would release his balled up fist to an open palm. Akagi would than look to Kyuji, "I accept the seal, on my palm should be fine." With this Akagi would brace for any kind of reaction his body might have to the effects of the seal.

Akagi wondered as he held his palm open if his mother might be watching, thinking about how far he had come from that day he failed to save her. This conviction of his pushed him on each day to do what he couldn't do for his mother. To protect.

As he revealed his palm to me and reassured to himself that he wanted to be sealed, I would nod at him. The option had been there to turn down the other and grow stronger through regular means, but these children seemed to always want to be sealed for some peculiar reason when I offered it to them. Nevertheless, I at least knew that my seals were filled with pureness and good-nature chakra unlike the seals that Miroku Akkuma used on people which included my former apprentice, Aikayume Azusa, and my second cousin, Miroku Riyota. However, the sealing process could still be a difficult one to do because nobody knew how the receiver was going to react to having a seal placed onto their body and that was always my main concern since my initial sealing with myself and Chikamatsu Shin that followed.

In any case though, my sword would continue to lay or hover on the shoulder of the boy as I spoke to him once more: "Very well, Mitsunari Akagi. From this day forward, you will be my apprentice and I your master. I will train you well and make you into the best swordsman that I can because I know the favor that I wish you to grant already. It is a quite simple one....I want you to be one of my knights in this world. In doing so, this sword that I hold will be yours when I pass away so long as you can pass the oath and trials of Lord Byakko, the celestial being of the Byakko Clan, and receive the approval of the head of the Byakko Clan at the time. If you fail to get the approval of the Byakko head or Lord Byakko, the sword will not work properly for you and it will be a useless relic from days gone past."

My sword would then return to my side and disappear as it did before as I closed my eyes momentarily as I tried to think of the best way to do a sealing on the hand since Chikamatsu Shin's had been on his back and mine had been near my neck before. This thought process would continue for a few moments before my eyes would reopen and I knew what I needed to do as I walked over to the boy's side and properly situated myself on the ground. I would then bite my dominant hand causing it to begin to bleed as I took my other hand using my claws to cut open the palm of his hand before placing my bloodied hand into his own (yes, they are holding hands). As the blood of he and I would drip together into a pool between us, a white aura would radiate from my hand as the blood of mine fused with his into a blackened seal on his hand before I left go of his hand. Admittedly, I had to hold onto his hand tightly during the process to ensure that it did not get tampered with as his body likely reacted violently and I did not need the life essence of him or I to be wasted.

As I brought my hand back, my natural healing had already sealed the wound and it appeared that the holy seal and part of my chakra had easily manifested itself into Akagi as there wasn't any of his blood dripping onto the ground nor was he looking like he was in that much pain. But, only time could tell.

A knight? Akagi watched as his teacher kneeled down after speaking biting her own hand. Akagi didn't know what to expect from the coming ritual, he was too focused in on the words his proctor had spoke. Her sword?
I don't even know what Byakko is...

Feeling a sharp tearing pain on his palm, Akagi snapped back to reality and watched as the teacher had cut open his palm. The pain from the cut wasn't too bad at first, seeing as Akagi had a natural recovery process that would patch that sort of thing up, he wasn't expecting the proctor to then mix her blood with his by holding his hand. Akagi would curiously watch as a white aura would radiate from his hand as she gripped tightly.

As she gripped tightly and the light emanated off their hands, Akagi felt a sharp pain shoot up his arm and throughout his body. With his left hand Akagi would grab his right shoulder, holding his right hand steady for Kyuji. After a few moments passed of intense pain, surprisingly Akagi had gotten a grip and remained steady. Biting his lower lip as she loosened her grip, revealing a blackened marking on his hand. Akagi pulled his hand closer to himself looking at his palm seeing it had completely healed already, and where the wound once was now rested three black tally marks, Akagi would clinch his fist multiple times till he would smile and look toward Kyuji, "That was amazing! I have so many questions to ask you after this!" Overwhelmed with excitement over graduating, becoming a student of Kyuji-sensei's and receiving a trump card Akagi was enthralled to say the least.

Standing up and looking away from Kyuji, Akagi would take his headband from his neck, pulling it up to his forehead where his dirty blonde hair would fall over it. Turning around Akagi would look down to Kyuji and say, "How does it look?" Followed by a friendly laugh.

Success. The process had been a success and Akagi had recovered quite nicely as the marking on his palm had grown and darkened sealing the deal for him. Of course, the child had shown obvious signs during the sealing process of being in significant pain and he had to grasp onto his shoulder to keep his hand steady enough for me to seal him up good. He actually did quite well during the entire process as most people were screaming or kicking or reacting far more excessive; he had been a trooper in other words.

Now with the process over, Akagi was filled with excitement and joy at it all. He even would put his headband on and ask me how it looked on him which I simple responded with a smile and a small thumbs-up. Truthfully, I didn't expect him to be wearing that headband soon since many of us in the Hidden Sand decided against wearing them for our own personal reasons. It wasn't due to an uprising or a coup from any of us, but just because some of us preferred to not wear them. For example, I chose to not wear my headband around in the village or when I had traveled only because it was not necessary and I usually had the village's emblem on my sleeves in the Hospital where I spent the majority of my life. If I wasn't in the Hospital, most people knew who I was simply because of my appearance and the obvious features of the Byakko Clan like our ears and claws. Nevertheless if the child wanted to wear his, I would not fault him nor stop him.

Unfortunately for Akagi, our time together was coming to a close soon as I needed to get back to my other job as a medic and preparing myself for the World Martial Art Tournament. Due to this, I would rise from my position and put my hand on Akagi's dirty blonde hair as I smiled at him. He was going to do just fine in this world and under my guidance, he would become a fine shinobi and man. After a brief moment, I would speak to him: "Congratulations on graduating, Akagi. You have come a long way since our first class together, but you best enjoy this time because you are going to be worked hard mentally, physically, and psychologically. We are going to push your limits and make you a stronger shinobi and individual in this world. Due to my participation in the World Martial Arts Tournament however, I cannot mentor you until it is over so I want you to work hard until I can actually mentor you and prepare yourself in whatever way you feel is best. Alright?"

Crossing his arms as he looked to Kyuji, he quickly responded to her once she finished speaking, "That's fine with me, but for me..." Akagi would teter on the subject as if he was hesitant to discuss it. "I will be gone for a while after the tournament ends. I have planned a "vacation" to the Land of Water with Shin and Karasu Mika."

Dropping his arms Akagi would think before speaking, "So how long after the tournament do you think you will be gone?" Akagi would clear his throat and move on to his next statement, "Cause to be honest I am not really sure when I will come back."

While keeping his attention on Kyuji, he would walk toward his blade that was implanted in the ground a good distance away. After grabbing it he would walk back to Kyuji, sighing as he looked down to his torn sleeve.

"Despite time or anything, I will be ready once I return from my trip. I shall accept all the challenges you throw at me to prove my worth to Lord By- Bak-, Ah whatever its name is." With his final statement Akagi would relax his face, being more casual now that the exam had ended.

Once more, I would listen to my newly appointed knight and apprentice that would begin his rigorous and likely dangerous training with me as soon as we were both back in Wind Country after taking care of whatever matters needed our immediate attention. For me, it was participating in the World Martial Arts Tournament and having my meeting with the representatives of the medical branches in the other villages. As for Akagi, he would inform me that Chikamatsu Shin, who graduated before him, and Karasu Mika, a student that I taught, would accompany him to Water Country on a "vacation" of sorts which truthfully seemed like they were simply up to no good, but if they were old enough to obtain passports, then they were old enough to make their own decisions. All that a sensei and senior of the village, like myself, could hope for was that they were safe and planned ahead before wandering there and getting ill due to the harsh, arctic-like climate that plagued those barren, frozen wastelands.

As he finished, I would respond almost immediately to him and it was direct and straightforward. The following would be stated: "I look forward to when you and I both return home then. I have a meeting scheduled after the tournament in Tea Country and then I am visiting Earth Country for personal reasons. Obviously, I have no idea how long the tournament will last, but the meeting will likely be a week or two while my journey to Earth Country is going to be extended as I need to check up on something. If it wasn't personal, I would explain it to you more, but sadly it is and I don't need you to look at me differently if you knew about it."

I would then look at him once more as I smiled and say my final thoughts: "Our adventures will be exciting and challenging. I hope you take care of Mika and Shin and they do the same for you. You likely will be changed mentally, physically, emotionally, and psychologically after your 'vacation'. Have fun and be safe. As for me, I must get going as I have preparations to take care of for my 'vacation' if I want to make our village proud. Take care, Apprentice Akagi." After I spoke, I would proceed to walk by the boy and away from the Academy if I was not stopped in the process. This had been a productive day and I had another knight that I could call upon when the time was needed.

As Kyuji finished speaking and began to leave. Akagi would nod to her following suit.

Leaving the same way he entered after sheathing Suna Tsume, Akagi would look back to the academy in the same way he had entered. Memories of classes, Sen and Serra, Shin and the dojo all flashed through Akagi's mind as he smiled. Now walking away from the academy Akagi couldn't help but jump for a brief moment into the air shouting something unintelligible out of joy, then resuming composure and making his way home.
