Ao developed an ability to not only manipulate the shape of her water jutsu to take on properties of fog and mist influences, but to also develop genjutsu which combine elemental properties. Considered a culmination of training, she has been able to do such for some time with her first demonstrating the skill set during her time as a genin. While it was a basic ability during her youth, time and growth has turned it into a far more useful and reliant ability. For general understanding this allows Ao to trick someone into physically feeling effects associated with water jutsu on a mental scale, even if physically no such thing has manifested.This is an activated ability which Ao fully controls, meaning she can consciously decide whether or not to add her chakra nature to her genjutsu or develop genjutsu which play off her chakra nature.<i></i>

A passive ability which was developed over time both as Ao learned the art of genjutsu and amplified further when she unlocked the sharingan. She has a natural predisposition for using illusion arts which through the years has both heightened her ability to control other's sense as well as unconsciously make them more prone to believing the alteration of their sense through her genjutsu. While she in no way has knowledge of this innate ability, it is applied without second thought every time she uses a genjutsu regardless of the target. This is considered to be an unknown passive to Ao, meaning she has no ability to discern that she is actually capable of doing so and is just a culmination of her advanced genjutsu skillset.<i></i>

This ability comes to Ao in two different ways, both an at-will variant and a natural inclination variant (See Sixth Sense). At the core she is a sensor-type shinobi, which means she has a predisposition for being able to sense other's presence through chakra signatures. In her case the at will ability comes as a trigger response to focusing her chakra into "sensory mode" which reveals visually the various chakras of individuals up to a certain distance. The full extent of her ability and just how much she can discern from simply seeing chakra is dependent on the method which she goes about doing so. This is not to be confused with her sharingan's innate ability to see chakra as her trait can be utilized without it's activation. Sensor is simply a category which Ao belongs to when it comes to shinobi type. Her abilities as a sensor directly influences her knowing various sensory detecting jutsu, both unique and common.<i></i>

Developed from her sensory attributes, Ao has a natural ability to discern when something is potentially wrong in a scenario. It is more than likely a manifested trait stemming from both her sensor status as well as her kekkei genkai's innate precognition skillset. Her sixth sense is a culmination of both being that when it triggers she both feels the looming danger and can generally pinpoint it's source. Unlike Sensor, Ao's Sixth Sense is not something she can willingly control but something which simply happens. In her case everything around her seems to slow down and a gut instinct to know something's wrong takes over.<i></i>

Kunais
A common tool used by shinobi, the kunais are typically black in color with bandages wrapped around the handle with a small ring at the end. While designed for thrusting and melee actions, Ao uses them explicitly for throwing purposes.
