Physical Description:

Zashi fits his descriptor – “the boy out of the sand.” Tanned skin, brown eyes, curiously dry skin, and dark gray hair all give the illusion that this boy was not born, but rather, sculpted from shattered stone and the husks laying about the desert. Zashi stands at 5'5", a bit short for his age, but not enough to bother him. His outfit has become a bit less outlandish - Zashi now wears a beige tunic and black pants, but still wears his prayer beads. His hair is now shorter, though shaggy, and he often wears it in a short ponytail.

Mental Description:

Zashi is very much a child at heart - he appreciates being entertained, likes playing games, and has hang-ups appropriate for a teenager his age. Three years since his arrival at Sunagakure, he still holds his religion in high regard, and frequently refers to himself as the Solar Court's Son. Zashi has a strong sense of justice, and is a strong believer in the "eye for an eye" mentality. That being said, Zashi can be quite vengeful, and believes it to be his duty to punish the wicked.

History:

As an academy student, Arawe Zashi was a bit misguided. Having been separated from his family to ensure their prosperity, he became quite lost, both literally and figuratively. He became a wanderer, clinging to his ideals to keep his mental footing. He joined the academy under the tutelage of the Kazekage at the time. It was around this time that he created his sword and began to take up missions. It was also around this time that he committed a gruesome, yet accidental murder. On a standard mission, he ended up enraged, killing the young Yamada Nobuyuki. This caused an internal conflict between his desire to do good and his desire to take revenge.

The young Arawe Zashi quickly became a genin, and became slightly disillusioned with his role as a shinobi. He questioned whether or not exploiting his jutsu was really benefiting Sunagakure. Around this time, an Anbu member who had dealt with the Yamada murder contacted him. He reported severe burns when rereading the summary of the crime. Blood tests further reinforced what Zashi had been suspicious of – he was, in fact, an Uchiha. With this knowledge, he began to exploit his dojutsu for his personal gain. Though he maintained his strict belief in doing good, and kept a good sense of humor, his life began to take a more resentful tone. Revenge became a key part of justice for him.

He also met Michi around this time, who he had been guarding for a mission. The two started an awkward, but sweet, relationship.
