Character's Physical Description: The Oushi-Ouja heir stands a bit shorter than the average girl her age, reaching just barely over five feet in height, compared to the other members of her clan who average closer to seven, this has her looking very out of place in their presence. Her frame is thin and slight but not to the point of appearing sickly or malnourished. The kunoichi sports longer black hair with occasional streaks of deep red from follicle to top, usually tied back in a tight tail. Circlets of deep black scales which appear to grop out from her skin are often seen on her neck and wrists, hard and almost metallic looking, these scales are, curiously, not always present. She frequently sports a friendly and inviting smile, her eyes a reddish brown with a few scattered freckles on her face.
Character's Mental Description: Suzume is not a carefree girl, but she often tries to act the part. Growing up she felt her life was pointless and a disgrace to the clan, and she has always tried to push herself forward to prove worth within it. She leaps at opportunities to better herself and to push herself high and further, often chaffing at people with sensible advice that try to keep her from overstretching herself. A strong rebellious streak burns within her, though her tutelage to become the next clan heir has tried to crush that out of her, it only managed to suppress it. Her goals often outstrip her reach, and she has suffered time and time again as she struggles to reach just a little further. The kunoichi rarely struggles with the results of her failures, but insecurities and that lingering fear of not living up to the expectations of others and of her own self worth has driven her to places both dark and dangerous.
Character History: While her pre-teen life was ordinary and mundane, Suzume's life changed quite drastically when she began to manifest a strong affinity for lightning at around her fourteenth year. She was quickly enrolled into the shinobi academy, training to become the next leader of her clan, who had been headed by Oushi-Ouja for most of the last century. She enthusiastically dove into her new responsibilities, but had little success in controlling her chakra. Even after months of training and tutoring by some of the most capable instructors, she still had almost no control her vast chakra reserves. That was until she went missing in Tea Country during a shinobi tournament. She later resurfaced back in Wind Country, but looking nothing like she had before. Her control of her chakra had vastly improved, but she no longer possessed the affinity for the storms that had landed her the position of heir.
The details of what happened were a closely guarded secret, kept even from the Storm Lord himself. During that time she had been recruited by the Chains of Jashin, a small secret organization which believed that Jashin was a corrupted deity, and that it was their responsibility to try and cleanse their fallen lord of the taint of humanity. To this end they sacrificed one of their own and bound him and all of the lives that he had sealed within himself into a new body, with Suzume at its head. Eager to fulfill a cause that, at the time. she saw as even grander than her clan, she eagerly accepted. So, with a new purpose she went back to Sunagakure, expecting to be cast out from the clan. Much to her surprise, due to reasons of his own, Nabushin did the exact opposite and proclaimed that this stranger was indeed Oushi-Ouja Suzume and that she was the Storm Heir.
A year passed of training and acclimating to her new body, as she struggled to try and learn all she needed to know to eventually take up Nabushin's mantle. She pushed herself further and harder than she had before, making great strides in her training, eager to prove herself worthy of a position she no longer she had any right to claim. One day her bold actions finally got the better of her and she became one of dozens of casualties in the destruction of the Unseen Hand gang in the lower reaches of the village. Despite the fact that she had been crushed underneath a mountain of rubble, she still, somehow, managed to survive. Her memories of the event were vague, but the fledgling member of the Chains of Jashin somehow managed to coalesce the energy she had been serving as the keeper for and use it to form a new, temporary body that subsisted off the decades of lives that dwelled within her.
It was around then when she was recruited by the medinin who had been the first on the scene to rescue her at scene of the collapse. Once again, she dove headfirst into her new responsibilities at the hospital. She had some talent for the art, but she had little control over it, as had become a trend in her life. Countless sleepless hours were spent working towards mastering both her roles as an aspiring medinin and to take over as the clan's leader. What she did not understand, however, was that her life was slowly being drained away. Without a true both, she did not generate anymore chakra and was living off the vast reserves her form had stored within it. This worked wonderfully for her for nearly a year, but eventually those reserves ran dry and she became a pale shadow of herself. She did not know what was happening, and by the time she had understood what it was, she was already in a comatose state. The girl was conscious to the world, but could not move, eat or sleep.
Having already fueled so much of the clan's resources into this failure of an heir, Nabushin reached out with every remaining resource to try and find a way to reverse whatever had come over the girl. Eventually, his sources brought him word of a name he knew in passing, Ryuu Tama. With few options remaining, at least ones he wanted to consider, he reached out and made an offer to the shinobi that, Nabushin hoped, the doctor could not refuse...

| The Character History and the two linked threads provide the basis for the Bloodline and Kinjutsu applications for Kyoujouran and Hachimon respectively. The gritty details have yet to be revealed, but the infusion of juvenile Sunan Carnasaur's essence into Suzume will have vast consequences, both expected and not. A creature of that scale and power, even if from a juvenile, are far more than the human body was designed to handle. Growing and shedding of scales across her body, sensitivity to the vibrations of the earth and the strengthening of her body are just the tip of the scales. When she learns how to tap into the full potential of the legendary creature, pushing her body to and beyond its limits, that is when the real trials and tribulations will begin.!
