Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kamaru inhaled deeply as they left the city taking in the air, the Shaman and the rest of the security detail were only a few steps behind him. The only odd one out of place was the man with several scrolls and books cascading out of his backpack as he seemed to mutter and read through notes mostly to himself before noticing the random book or scroll that feel free up his pack. Vacation time away had done Kamaru some good. Walking back he got the man’s gear stowed away for walking and explained if he wanted to lose any of his books keep doing what he was doing. This quickly had the man focused as the group made their way to the the villages, the pilgrimage started off with Kamaru scanning the area for ambushed and as they moved from the first town to the next Kamaru thought this wasn’t that bad.

Kamaru didn’t remember which town it was when they got there maybe the fourth or fifth. People coming to pray at the shrine and to see the relic for a blessing asking for bountiful harvests. Kamaru’s attention snapped to a man as he screamed running in pulling off his shirt and beating himself with it before throwing it to the side. Kamaru originally thought he was either crazy or possibly something was going down, the man being under a genjutsu and sent in as a distraction. Moving to the man Kamaru’s eyes widened as he saw the man’s bare chest catch fire.

”Bomb” he barked diving away.

Everything flashed bright to white and the world slowed down around him.

Great first day back he thought trying to get the grogginess out of his system.

He finally was able to sit up, or so he thought. The sudden realization it didn’t look like the shrine area, it was darker, and his back felt cool against stone had him not do that as he open his eyes slightly looking around to figure out what was going on. He saw some of the security detail, and what he thought looked like some of the people in the area they had been in. From the injuries there was probably more than one explosion. Kamaru saw a man he figured to be a doctor inspecting one of the bodies, he must have been triaged and sent to some field recover tent. Kamaru watched the man slice open the body in front of him and start removing organs. Kamaru realized this probably wasn’t a tent for recovery. He heard groans and moans but it was that of the dying. Kamaru controlled his breathing and scanned the area around him. His items were in a pile his weapons next to them. It looked like his jacket and shirt had been shredded. Kamaru realized seeing his pants and boxers as he wiggled his hips he was actually naked. No draft in the area either it seemed. The organ harvester didn’t have time to react besides looking as a body jumped off the slab over to a pile of things and a metal rod came crashing down crumpling the man to the floor. Looking around Kamaru quickly switched clothes or rather took the clothes of the man putting him on the slab in his place and looked around.

Kamaru remembered he had moved away from the person that he thought would exploded telling people to get back. From the amount of people injured he figured it had to be more than one person used as an explosive.

Finding someone still breath and lucid he found the next best person beside himself in the bunch, the man’s face seem crusty from tried tears, one of his shoulders had been wrapped in bandages the arm being non existant. Kamaru shook him too and saw a madness in the man’s eyes. Words eventually got through and the man explained several other people had also been used in the crowd unknowingly. He had tried to show someone out of the way to just run but he didn’t plan on the person exploding and taking his arm with them. Kamaru explained he could be dead right now and the place he was in currently seemed like the place to be if that’s what he wanted to end up. Sitting up the other man realized the operation and grew a little paler. He didn’t seem to want to stick around either if Kamaru was going to help him get up and out. Scouting out the area Kamaru let him know where to go out of sight away from the village that looked safe for now. Kamaru explained he’d try and find the shaman and survivors figure out why it happened and scrunge up some food. Looking at the man’s wound and the dressing he explained he’d try and get some bandaging and medical supplies as well. The man nodded and explained he’d check the rest of the people and attempt to sneak out with as many able bodied as they could muster, that way if need be Kamaru could ‘run just as wild’ on this bastards.

Kamaru didn’t make any promises but left the man to his own devices.

”I-i-i-i-i-it’s sctrictly a religous icon i-i-i-i-i-it doesn’t actually have any ‘powers’ usable by us. It’s for pray for a good h-h-h-harvest” the man fumbled out on his knees not showing him face or looking up fully at the man in front of him. One of his eyes had swollen shut. He was pretty use to the taste in his mouth of his own blood. The Shaman was unconscious beaten that way by their capture.

The man beating the two stared from his sole good eye, the other gone or hidden behind a patch flopped down into a chair tapping the can in his hand. This wasn’t going as planned. The auction for several relics up and disappearing before they could be seen, demonstrated, or bought/traded for/stolen had the man in a bad mood already. Had he just wasted time stealing some religious worthless piece of crap. He finally noticed the guard at the door standing there slightly slumped as if waiting not looking at him directly.

”Yes?” the man spit slightly irrate by the situation and the silence.

As the guard slomped Kamaru dove into the room something whistling through the air in streaks of black and yellow.

”Get the Shaman, Out. Now!” Kamaru barked making a beeline straight for the torturer and assumed leader. Taken aback by the sudden attack the man got to his feet on a shaky good leg pushing himself away with his cane fumbling for something and throwing it at Kamaru. The satchel tossed had Kamaru diving away and throwing more projectiles at the unknown as it exploded with an odd wet ‘pop’ instead of a flash of light, heat, and fire the thing flopped to a mass of flesh on the ground that rapidly expanded, an eye formed from the blob and soon a patchworked mouth.

”Don’t let my appearance fool you, this body might be slowly falling apart on me but I’ll just replace more pieces again.” the man hissed softly forming hand seals. The scholar and shaman already forgotten Kamaru spared a second to noticed they were scrambling away with the relic as well meaning Kamaru could fully focus on the thing in front of him and the man. The blob lashed out with a whip like tendril slicing the air as the man’s scattered several black dagger like blobs from thin air.

Kamaru’s coat grew longer, the collar taller as it burst into ash and dark red embers. His fist already in gloves knocking the flesh punching back back a gout of flame exploding with the strike.

”Guess I just need to take you out one piece at a time.” Kamaru chided.

The man was getting ready to toss another bag when he spun, Kamaru being right next to him didn’t have him total worried as the bag was tossed as point blank range. Moving around Kamaru’s hand arched out something forming in his hand. As he clamped down on one of the man’s arms while sidestepping the bag the man howled out in pain. Wrenching his arm away it was visible that the bone was showing at one point, the skin and muscle blackened around the area.

The man slammed another bag against the wound exploding changing his forearm to different, or rather like that of someone elses since it’s size didn’t match his body.

”Easier said, than done. I have a lot of pieces.” the man countered his arm extending abnormally as he faded into the shadows of the room.

Kamaru gritted his teeth feeling an example of the techniques he just used. Fortunately he was a lot more use to the mechanics only taking minor damage, the hand grabbing on didn’t expect Kamaru’s skin to be so hot as if on fire already though.

As the shadows seemed to deepen in the room Kamaru dodged the two fleshy abominations chasing him around as he zereod in on the man’s position. As a spark formed close to Kamaru it suddenly amplified in the air cause the man and the creatures to howl in pain from the sudden change in light levels.

Focusing on the two minions Kamaru delivered several attacks beating them back their odd structure throwing on his rhythm of using any sort of close range Taijutsu since he couldn’t tell what was really supporting their bodies that seemed to morph continously into new odd shapes and forms depending on what attacked them and how they defended themselves.

Suddenly switching weapons and stabbing into the shadows the leader of the trio gasped a small green crystal hovering more visible into view next to him.

”Don’t hide in the shadows….Let me help you walk in the light…” Kamaru whispered into the man’s ear as he tapped him several times on the back. The man tried to move and found himself unable to move. His eye moved around his fingertips reaching. His cane was too far away. The flesh creatures ungulated before moving towards him. No. He didn’t like this. They were getting hungry? He hadn’t kept his concentration and now they’d turn on him. Where was the robber going. What was he putting around the room. No he didn’t like this at all. Pain. The flesh blobs merged with him, scream for form. For structure. For identity. Did they want his? Were they trying to ‘be’ him! No. This wasn’t happening. It was a dream. He couldn’t be beaten he was immortal. He had figured out the means, killed so many to stay alive. His body may not be it’s own for sometime but he was still him. He was still his own person. All other thoughts were drowned out by a white light.

Kamaru found the scholar and the others outside eventually huddled someplace together. They saw the pillar of light, the explosion, they hadn’t seen that many guards the one they had had been disabled.

”Let get you guys healed up. And lets get you home.” Kamaru stated not looking back at the pillar of fire behind him.
