Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

For once, Ashura had been pinned down for a 'training' session by his sister; it sucked because she knew exactly how to get close and right in his face to smack him with a shinai before he could really do anything. So, rather than training, it was more akin to a stress relief session for the older shinobi but yet she still seemed frustrated even though she was beating him so efficiently. "You damn idiot, what are you doing? Just letting me hit you, seems that's what you're good for anyway!" She snarled, leaning slightly with the practice sword on her right shoulder and the grip of her hand loose but had enough angle that she could snap it off her shoulder in the blink of an eye; good form and confident in the training she had done up till now. Unlike her younger brother, who was standing with a bit of a headache, rubbing the bridge of his nose still chuckling slightly. "Get serious already and DO something!" she launched forward as Ashura looked up, who blinked a couple times. "Awh, c'mon! I just want to go dance, or somethin'" He did a weird back-bend, sliding forward and twisting in a 180 as the horizontal slash of the woman's sword came for his stomach; hardly pausing he did a shuffle move where he jumped to the side and slid before reversing directions, feeling the sharp hiss of the bamboo weapon kiss the edge of the shoulder that had just been there. He couldn't do this forever, he'd actually managed to avoid two, but he didn't know if he could make it to three.

But hell was he going to try! He twisted about, focusing on his chakra while he slid to a stop; only wearing his socks on the polished floor was fun (and gave him a bit of an edge for getting out of range slightly), He did some half-serious kung-fu looking pose. "Hiiiii-YOW!" The woman simply stepped in and smacked him right in the shin, which the instant reaction to jump and grab said shin meant he caught hold of the weapon. He focused on it and damned it.

There was a sudden burst and as his sister gasped and recoiled her hands off the shinai, the entire thing fell to the floor as powdery ashes. Standing there, staring at one another, the siblings had no idea what just happened; but as usual Ashura's sister took the lead and dragged him by the ear while he alternated cackeling like a loon and saying 'ow'. "Gyah-ahaha! Angry 'cause I smoked your stick! Owowowowow." He was hopping slightly at the pull to his ear only to be released, feeling a hard backhand to his chest. "Wrong!" Breathless, Ashura suddenly found himself sailing down the halls of the academy tumbling head over heels. Bouncing off the floor once, he hit the wall at the end of the corridor upside down and slid down on his shoulders, watching the woman stomp down the way after him. "Rather, I'm interested in how you managed to do something like that. Now get up and c'mon." She lifted him up by his shirts roughly even as she told him to stand up, seemed to just be the kind of woman she was. Of course, the problem was that she didn't exactly put him down either, just dragging him along behind her by the front of his shirt so that the heels of his feet slid on the smooth floor. He stared at the direction they were coming before letting out a slight snicker. "Did you have a pocket full of posie? 'cause your ashes, they all fell down. Gyahahah- DURF!" He said "Hi" to the floor, face first, and was kicked in the stomach so that he slid down the hall on his face, doing a half-worm. Worst case of a hot face he'd ever had. Ever.

"Keep up the comments and I'll make sure you fall down forever!" Grumbling, she turned quickly and ducked into a doorway and as the young ninja sat himself up and winced at the friction burn he'd aquired his sibling returned with a stack of small slips. "Here, hold one and focus your chakra into it." Shoving one of the many, blank, slips between his fingers, Ashura decided with that look on her face he would just do as he was told. It took him a moment to stop concentrating on his face and focus on the slip but he manged; first, it baconed and his sister frowned slightly and started to say something before it burst into the same fine powder as before. "Do it again." Groaning, the tormented youth bemoaned his situation (internally) but took the next slip and concentrated the flow of his chakra. Yet another moment passed and it looked liked cooked bacon again before bursting into a powdery ash.

"Okay, what the hell!" She stuffed six slips between his fingers and bore down on him with her stare. "Aw, c'mon sis! What's the joke already? I don't have a punch line to work with here." Glowering at him, the woman lightly whacked him on the top of the head with her knuckles. "I'm going to punch your line right through the sky, just do it!" Now, his turn to grumble, Ashura closed his eyes and focused on the multiple sheets of paper, trying to keep a focus on each of them while battling his lack of interest in doing this.

The woman stared at the slips carefully, watching as faint scorch lines traveled the lengths of the paper before they all crumpled just as the ones before had done, almost in slow motion now, and just before she had to blink the scorch lines expanded and turned the paper to dust. "Ah!" Just because she understood the process of what happened to her shinai and the papers, didn't mean it fully clicked. But it certainly had something to do with fire-based chakra. "Hey, we good? Training's over and I can go do whatever right?" Ashura had opened his eyes and looked up at his older sister only to get shot down. The great big 'Nope!' came in the form of her dragging him by the collar of his shirt down the hall to the library this time. This was the worst ever! Plopped down into a chair, his sister wandered off into the many shelves, collecting books and scrolls alike. "You can deal, anything that will make you less of a useless ninja is better. So start looking!" Samming the massive stack down on the table next to Ashura, the normally energetic youth felt his soul slipping away out of his mouth; which his sister pretty well grabbed and shoved it back in while slapping a book down, some kind of theseis about the 'basic elements and how they interact'. Wasn't genin level study, that was for sure.

Several hours, and multiple FAILED escape attempts later, his eyes dully ran across the page, reading out loud while his sister poured over a scroll on the other side of him. "The super heating and the change of matter involved with plasma, often seen in varying colors ranging from the ultraviolet spectrum to visible light. Either case, the intense heat is often enough to disintigrate or severly burn most flamable ma-" He was cut off by the slam of hands as his sister was suddenly leaning over his shoulder. "What?!" She was pretty much laying on top of her brother, dark eyes flickering across the page before looking down at her younger sibling. "I think there's something..." She used her young brother as a stepping stone to reach across the table and grab hold of one of the elemental thesis books and skimming through it. "I've seen you sling around a little bit of jutsu...The standard for most but...plasma?" The tone of her voice didn't seem as though she really belived it, and still her eyes kept skimming over the pages as though repeating on the same passage over and over again. "The paper looks as though it's been burned with an affinity to fire, and crumples up with an affinty to lightning. Hm, well there was scorch marks and it did crumple. But they're supposed to do them individually when there's a dominant element." The woman looked at her sibling and snapped the book shut, lifting the book and getting a wince from the teen that was sitting beside her as though he was expecting to be hit; he looked dead tired from what she saw. A sigh escaped her lips and she set the book down on the other side of him. "Awesome, so now we know that apparently I have some chakra affinty to fire and lightning? Which makes what? Plasma? Ninja are the weirdest thing ever I think." He rubbed his eyes and sighed, staring at the ceiling for a moment blearily. "So I have some kind of awesome form-changing super hot glowing chakra affinity?" He looked at his sister who leaned back in her own chair, chewing on her lip. "Seems like it." For a moment, she though her brother was actually a good kid and that maybe he wasn't such an idiot, turning her head she opened her mouth to compliment him but as she did, he hopped up on to his chair, one leg on the back while the other remained planted firmly on the seat; his chest puffing proudly as he declared: "I! AM! CAPTIAN PLASMA!" In his usual boisterious idiocy.

Their moment was broken and the usual response the woman had to this? "WROOOOOOO-NG!" She was up in a flash, grabbing him by his leg on the back of the chair and swinging him around before letting go and sending him flying into the wall out of the library door. At least Ashura did actually learn something new; he had an affinty for plasma so maybe he wasn't so useless? Right...?

I really enjoyed the Rp. =)

Glad ya liked it! Here's that shadow affinity RP I mentioned.

RP Blurb.
A free day off, no worries about training or his sister or any responsibilities; a wonderful day off in the city of Sand, watching the beautiful sands float upon the winds in the sunset while he stood atop the tallest monument watching it. Like a manly man. A man not in tights. A day where he could feel the world's mantel be set off his shoulders, a carefree day to laugh, and cry (like a man), a day to remember. That was NOT today.

NOPE!

Instead, he was stuck in his room with a massvie pile of study materials given to him by his sister the slave driver wonderful bitch elderly sister who hated loved her brother so dearly. Nah, but seriously she was alright; she cared but holy hell did she beat his face like it was her job. Not but a couple months after dealing with the shenanigans of finding out about his affinty for some off the wall element transitional thing known as Plasma, she had toughened up and put him to work even more with the goal of making him Chuunin before the year was out. Hell he was barely out of the flippin' academy! "Gwaaaaaaah! SoOoOOOOo bored." He could cry (like a bitch) that's how bored he was with the seemingly endless amount of books he was supposed to read, and honestly none of it really kept his interest. With a sigh, he leaned his chair back on two legs and stared up at the lightbulb until he could see the flicker of the chakra running through the filament, for a while that's all he did, before turning his attention to the book. Except. "I'M BLIIIIIIIIIII-ND!" He flailed and fell over backwards in his chair, tumbling across the room with a dark blotch in his vision; not just a few seconds after he hit the floor his sister burst in with a bokken at the ready, looking around quickly. "...What idiocy are you up to now?" She stared at him hard and all he managed to see was a blotch.

He looked up, down, left, right, and blinked. "I was blinded by the light~ OW!" He got a bokken to the head and an exhasperated sigh as a response but quickly quipped back as he blinked rapidly, his sight clearing up a little bit enough so that he could grin right back up at her. "I can see! It's a mirac- OW!" Yet another whack to the head before the woman turned out of the room with a grumble, something along the lines of 'fricken idiot'. Hey, the lumps on his head were totally worth this amusement he'd managed to get.

The door was shut and the young ninja rolled himself up off the floor where he was sitting and dusted himself off, turning off the overhead light and kicking on a smaller lamp so that he didn't run the risk of staring off into the light and having a repeat encounter. But he was still bored, and that had to be fixed! His sister always ragged on him about not being physically fit, not being able to keep up with her speed or the fact that he was so much weaker than she was; little did she know, he had the FIST SO SHADOW BOXING FURY! Well, not really.

Just to play about, he always stood in front of a light, casting his shadow on the wall and made himself feel better at the fact that the shadow didn't punch back. Not that it could anyway, but hey, that's why he felt better. He made rabbit jabs at the wall with a chuckle. "What cha go? Huh? You got nothin'! Know why? You're a SHADOW BITCH! Yeh, incororeal figment of d- GEHPHBT!" All of a sudden, the shadow reached out and decked him in the lips, lifting him off the ground like it was a pro boxer.

Ashura did a half spin while the letters T. K. O. Stamped themselves dramatically, one at a time on the screen while a sudden freeze frame of the young ninja was half twisted in the air, oddly proud tears in his eyes. Well, at least that's what would happen if this were some kind of anime. He just suddenly rocketed across the room and kissed the wall, his shadow bouncing up and down like it was on the balls of its feet in the same spot. A couple feint jabs could be seen from the shadow as it bounced, like it was taunting him. "Awh it's on!" He wiped the dribble of blood from his lips and lunged at the shadow, hands up to keep himself from getting clocked again, but this time he took an upper cut to the stomach which dropped his guard for a moment so that his shadow could rail him in the side of the face with a cross. He wound up doing a cartwheel across the other end of the room and landing face-down-ass-up on the desk, scattering the books, scrolls, and pages of study work across everywhere.

Naturally, the door slammed open and his sister entered in with all hell's fury unleashed in her eyes. "What are you doing you moron?!" Ashura nearly levitated and defied gravity for all of like, a milisecond, before bouncing off the desk and flopping on the floor. "I'M KICKING MY OWN ASS!" That...actually made her stop and blink while Ashura rolled up to his feet, dusting himself off. The logic, even the idiot logic, didn't compute for the woman and she stared blankly at him as though he'd sprouted a second head and it looked more alien than the first one. "Uh. What?" She wasn't dumb, but what do you reply to a line like that with anyway?! Her usual responses were shot and the siblings stared at one another while the shadow on the wall looked back and forth between them and looked as though it just face palmed. "Sis. He said as manly as he could manage, turning away and puffing his chest slightly. "I have something to confess." Her eyebrow twitched in irritation, she had a feeling that this was going to go somewhere stupid and readied her action against it. "You see, the truth is, I'm really a Nar-AAAAAAAUGH!"
CRITICAL HIT!

Ashura went flying out the window as the single carrying word of his sister rang out 'WROOOOO-NG!' He sailed off into the night trailing the bloody tears of a man. But not really, it was mostly blood from his mouth due to the swelled cheek he bore from the broad side of the bokken that treated him like a baseball going for a grand slam.

A couple hours later, the young idiot's sibling found him sticking out of a garbage can upside down like a demented, moronic flower. With a sigh, she dragged him up and out of the rubbish by the seat of his pants and shook him off, dragging him home just like that; not even giving a damn about the looks she'd get. Granted she was only wearing a tanktop and a pair of shorts that only covered about her mid-thigh, but it showed off all of the muscle tone ever; obvious signs that this was a badass draging home a doomed corpse. Regardless, multiple buckets of water and several thousand faceslaps later, Ashura was sitting with several compresses on his face across from his mother, father, and next to his sister (who'd done most of the slapping and now had a wrapped hand to show from it). "You're not a Nara, idiot. Did you do any of the research I told you to do?" The automatic response to such pressuring questions: his eyes got all shifty. "To~tally didn't." Everyone at the table but Ashura sighed.

Rubbing the bridge of her nose, his older sibling leaned in and folded her hands on the top of the table. "Look, there are a multitude of abilities and powers out there, we've already covered some of the basics even though you're just a genin; but the point is that if you already have an affinity to two elements in your chakra as well as an Advanced Element, you may very well NOT be totally useless. Which also leads to the possibility that you might be able to do more than what you've shown already. But you have to take the initative to find out, you moron." Glowering at him, Ashura was sitting there wondering what kind of reaction he would get if he just burst into some river-of-sand dancing right in the middle of her boring monolouge. He didn't actually do it, but the attention of his parents wasn't on him, but the wall behind him where his shadow was doing a hyperactive looking step dance, with hands on the hips and everything.

His sister looked to her parents for support and followed their attention to the wall then looked at Ashura, feeling a sudden surge of rage. "STOP BEING AN IDIOT!" She beat him mercilessly at that point. With a fork. It left welts for days but the entire family knew that despite his moronic disposition he was somewhat talented, he had a decent control over shadows. To have such impressive ability at such a young age, the family just wished he wasn't such a terrible slacking, idiotic, failure.
