Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It wasn't often that the Guardian Sennin found herself giving classes, but today was a special occasion. She had seen the development of the branch over a period of short time and saw the need for candidates among them. She was in the process of considering taking an apprentice of sorts, and wanted to also scout for trainees that the other Guardians and ANBU could train for branch development. So, on this day, she found herself in a large classroom. The walls were a pristine white with black marble flooring. There was a small chalk board at the front of the class, but she would wait until later to get to that. Megami took the professional method of dressing in her Guardian attire. That being, her gold and silver metal armor that was gifted to her by the Goddess. The armor made small clicks as it made contact with the marble floor as she walked.

Standing before a small metal desk she placed a small box of items she had brought with her, and set down a folder containing several papers. The contents of the box would be revealed later, but they were going to be tools that were utilized later for the discussion in the class. She wasn't big on the idea of teaching in itself, but she was the leader of the branch, and plenty capable of leading a group of people, especially children. She understood the important role they played within the society. Which is why she found herself in this room in the first place.

Turning to the board, Megami approached it and picked up the white chalk that lie on the small tray. She wrote down some information that would benefit the students as they walked in. She wrote down her name, well not her real name, but her Guardian name, which is what almost everyone in the village addressed her as anyway, and some instructions for the students.

The instructions were simple. She had checked the roster of those that had signed up for her class, and while the class was small, as she liked smaller groups, she had sent out letters to each student informing them of the date and time of this class session. The contents of that letter were vague, but clearly specified that the students needed to bring some sort of item with them to the class. If they did not bring an item, then she had brought some extra generic things of course, but if they used them then they wouldn't be getting the full experience out of the class. Not only that, but they would be considered insubordinate. Something of which she wanted to drill into the students head, that it was not something one should achieve to be when aiming to be a Guardian or ANBU.

Having laid out all the necessary tools that she needed to have set up, she made sure that the room was to her liking. There were four tables, each of which was just large enough to seat 2 students in pairs, or for 1 student to sit individually at one table and have more room to work with. She wanted to use this particular set up as a social experiment that would allow her to gage personalities from even before the class started. The pink haired Sennin would most likely consider rearranging some things later. She also had her headset ready, knowing that should the occasion arise, she may ask for an assistant. Now all there was to do was to see the turn out. She was interested in the things that were expected to develop.

Kyo felt euphoric as he walked through the halls of the academy, a wide smile playing on his lips. He was looking to move on after that mission with Oyochi and Chi, the one that ended with an old woman almost dying thanks to the formers' actions. He was ready to move on from that and a great opportunity would be the Guardian seminar he had signed up for a few weeks previously. Joining the Guardians had become his goal, the elite group of warriors tasked with defending the village. If all went well then this would be his first step towards that position, hoping to catch the eye of the instructor. Around his neck he would be carrying his closest possession, what appeared to be a simple silver ring on a chain. He wondered why the participants in the seminar would need to bring something precious to them, having no clue what that has to do with being a Guardian. Upon reaching the classroom he would spot the instructions on the board, reading through them quickly before turning his eyes to the instructor. He would be frozen for a moment as his jaw dropped, struck dumb by how beautiful the woman was, and how regal she looked in that silver and gold armor. He would quickly recoup his senses as he cleared his throat, hoping that she hadn't noticed his staring. "G-good morning...uh...Guardian of Lightning-sama." he would say as he gave her a respectful bow before moving to take a seat.

Following the instructions he would remove the chain from his neck and set it on his table before introducing himself. "Yagami Kyo of the Hyuuga clan." He would say simply, wondering how long it would take for the other students to show up.

There would be a subtle knock on the door before it was opened and Oyochi along with his Anbu assigned overseer would walk within the confines of the classroom. He stared through the room noting that only one other person was within the class outside of the instructor and that so happened to have been Kyo. His head would momentarily glance back towards his Anbu Overseer and peer into the masked man's eyes before narrowing his own and proceeding to walk towards the table and chair's opposite of where Kyo sat (put not at the same location). Oyochi crossed his arms and stared solely towards the instructor before saying with a calm and serious attitude, "Yukata Oyochi". He would then proceed to place a single item on the table, a small summoning scroll that was monochrome in color with a red fabric cord keeping the scroll wrapped tightly.

The anbu whom had escorted Oyochi then would turn to Megami, naturally recognizing her authority and bowed his head slightly. Being covered in a black, thick robe his attire was well hidden and so to was his face behind his mask however he did speak momentarily to her. "I shall remain outside the classroom while my charge participates in your Seminar." He would then take his leave from the class and close the door behind him, leaving Oyochi alone.

While they waited for the class to begin, Oyochi would fiddle with the bracers around his wrist that allowed his chakra to be controlled more efficiently, his serpentine pupils never keeping their eyes off the armored woman before them. He was curious about a lot of things, though he was also optimistic that answers would be given to his unspoken questions naturally.

She had only expected a small class, which is exactly what she wanted. Too many students, might mean each student may not get the right amount of attention they need to fully comprehend the lesson. Still though, she was devoting her time wisely. The first student entered and greeted her a little hesitantly. But he was respectful in his presentation, and seemed eager to learn, as he addressed himself as Kyo. The second entered, with someone dressed in ANBU attire. She hadn't seen him before. Weird. She might need to go over the rosters more carefully next time. In response to his statement of waiting outside the classroom, Megami just remained stoic. It was good to see an ANBU working with a student already at least. But, something stopped her when the second student gave his name. Yukata. The Guardian of Shadows was listed in her access files under the name Yukata. So, this was the brother he had spoken of. She was intrigued to see if he, too, was the same as his older brother, as it appeared they both took an interest in the same line of work.

Megami eyed the objects on the table, a necklace and a scroll. Strange what people consider to be precious objects. Looking at the door one more time, and then the clock on the wall, she made the decision to proceed. "You are here because you have expressed an interest in wanting to join the ranks of the Guardian and ANBU alike that dedicate their lives to protecting Earth Country. It is not an easy journey, but I am here today, to teach you some basic things you may need to, or want to know." Megami turned to her box that she brought with her and opened it up. From it, she withdrew two things. She withdrew a white mask, lined with red markings first and placed it upon a small stand to be visible. The second item she removed was a small container that held an orb of light. She wasn't sure if the two would understand the difference in these objects, but she would explain. "I'd like to start by helping you understand the difference in the two divisions among our branch. This is an ANBU mask. ANBU are the newer segment of our branch. These members always hide their identity, to avoid being compromised. We'd like to consider them the more clinical aspect of our division. Whether morally correct or not, they will fulfill an order flawlessly and without judgement. A successful mission is their only goal. It is why this division is considered considerably smaller." Moving on to the next item she prepared to talk about the division she herself was apart of.

The light didn't represent any sort of thing to the Guardians, but she hoped it would help symbolize their united Faith. While some Guardians delved in light, some delved in darkness, and some just the elements. It was not a requirement to be considered 'good' or 'divine' within the Guardians so long as you did your job. "Guardians, carry or wear an object that signifies their devotion to the Old Gods, or an individual God or Goddess. And if not that, then something they consider to be highly beloved. The Guardians division has resided in Iwa for many years now, and goes back to old roots. A Guardian will always prioritize saving and protecting lives as their first order of business. Always, even if that means risking our own life to do so. Whether during a mission, on patrol, gate duty, or in every day lives, a Guardian will not hesitate if it means preventing unnecessary death. We show our faces, to show our opponent that we do not fear them." Megami paused, allowing the students to take in the information presented with both things. But just establishing the difference didn't necessarily state what the Guardians and ANBU were. "But, while we are different, we function together within our branch, using both similar and unique skills. ANBU are clinical and precise, while Guardians care for the people first and foremost. A good balance. But what we all do, is aim to make Earth Country a safe and better place. We keep the peace, investigate crimes to serve justice, avenge souls of those murdered, handle important documents, and many more things. We are the bravest of warriors, but we also have to be smart and strong. Confident in our ability. And if you think you have what it takes to be one of the elite shinobi in this village, you're in the right place to get started." Megami gave a confident nod at the end of her speech. This was after all part of a Seminar as it was a class, and thus long strains of dialogue were a must. Hopefully though, unlike most Seminars, no one had fallen asleep just yet. The fun, interactive stuff was to come.

And so, after bringing in the establishment of the difference within each branch, she would ask a very expected response from herself. "Are there any questions? And please, refrain from asking any questions that may be related to specific scenarios. There is an exception to almost everything." Ok, so that last bit was just something sarcastic. But of course it was expected that someone may ask 'but what if something like this happens where you have to choose between saving a baby and an adult'. Lives are lives, and sometimes a call just has to be made. And therefore, she didn't care to answer questions along those lines. Once she was sure they understood the branches, she would be able to move forward with her class where they would utilize one of the shared skills she mentioned earlier.

Kyo would look up at the knock on the door, eyes widening in surprise as it opened and two people entered the classroom. It was Oyochi along with some kind of ANBU handler, the boy having been kept under watch after he almost fried an old woman to death. His eyes narrowed, unable to believe that the academy would keep someone like him enrolled, that he wasn't cast out or perhaps being rehabilitated in some jail. He took a deep breath to calm himself, ignoring Oyochi as he stated his name, bringing his violet gaze back towards their sensei. She removed two objects from a box, an ANBU mask and what seemed to be some kind of glowing object. She used them to explain the difference between the ANBU and the Guardians, the former of which he knew enough thanks to hushed whispers and rumors that had spread among the village. The Guardians he knew less about, though by how Megami was describing them they sounded like something he would be interested in, the boy not one to hide behind masks or shadow.

At the end she would ask for any questions, to which the boy would raise his hand. "Do all Guardians wear armor like yours?" He would ask curiously, not really having seen many of her kind before, trying to imagine what he himself would look like in a suit of silver armor.

While he remained seated and to himself, Oyochi never faltered in his gaze which had rested solely upon Megami as something about her title resonated in his head. While he had never heard his brother mention her by surname the title "Guardian of Lightning" had been a topic of conversation more than once before however his memory simply was not allowing him to pull specifics from that conversation. He maintained a natural disinterested look in his eyes, one that said he was listening while also not listening as his mind was busy mulling over his own thoughts and definitions of the branch and it's seed divisions. It was unknown to his "peers" that Oyochi came from a family that was well rooted within the Guardian/Anbu sect of Iwagakure's military forces and seemingly like those before him he had innately found himself sitting within a class specifically tailored to finding out who was interested in the branch. The slits of his eyes which resembled a serpents migrated finally towards the two objects and looked at them both equally before his own personal decision had been made. While he respected his sibling's path in honoring the Yukata clan's patron god, so much that he was known as a Guardian of Shadows, Oyochi felt completely different about his link to the old ones. His god had not granted him any favors by birth especially not the clan's latent bloodline and as such he felt that his obligations to the god were obsolete. When the time came for questions Oyochi's palm would remain down as Kyo asked the first question, one that he found was rather worthless in asking and when his time came he would simply raise his hand and ask his own question.

"Lightning-Sama, What makes your job description any different than that of a shinobi tasked to the main branch? While I am sure you did not name everything the branch's job description entails, what you did name are all things any shinobi understands is part of shinobi life within Iwagakure. What truly sets you apart from anyone else with a headband."

He did not care about armor, he did not care about attire....the only thing Oyochi cared about is knowing what the difference between this route and the main branch route was. So far to his knowledge everything that had been named or talked about could easily be done as a general shinobi...

Interestingly enough, they did have questions for her. However, they still were questions that were...well...not as sufficient as she'd expected. Kyo had asked her about her armor. She stared down at her face up palm, before making it into a fist. "No, the Guardian can wear what they please. Many tend to wear a set of armor, but this is my personal armor. This is what I wear it in honor of my Goddess. I believe it was a gift of her blessing." For a moment, Megami's body and armor radiated a holy light, an aura of it appearing in her hand before disappearing in a shimmering glow. "Like I said, Guardians wear or carry something that is a defining tribute to their God or Goddess, or something beloved. This just happens to be mine." The memory of when she had first received her holy power flashed in her mind. She believed it awoke within her when all hope was lost, her sister taken from her. It helped her fight her way through the growing darkness and take her back. The Goddess granted her more than she could ever repay on that day, and she would serve her diligently.

As for the next question, well this was going to be difficult to explain if he didn't understand already. She sighed, but proceeded to answer. "Let me explain this. Main branch shinobi, or 'standard shinobi', are an asset of the militia alone. Main branch assist the citizens and other shinobi, Guardians and ANBU police the shinobi and citizens. As for how Guardians are different, we are believed to be selected by the Divine. I cannot disclose much, but we have rituals of induction. The Old Gods pick us to be their warriors, to watch over their people where they no longer can. Whether you believe that or not, is your choice, and believe me there are many that don't. However, Guardians and ANBU do the same jobs. We just morally have different codes of honor to abide by. But we are responsible for many things you do not see, things that the main branch could never come close to doing. We handle all the high risk threats in or around the village so the rest of the village can remain safe, which is why we have the highest of clearances to do what is necessary." The last part was said in an ominous tone. It was true that being a member of the ANBU or Guardians meant that sometimes you might end up getting your hands dirty so that the rest of the village could keep their hands clean. But it also was meant in good nature for their protection. A main branch shinobi would never get the right clearances in time, or attain the right control over the right areas in order to fully see out some of the darker tasks set about. Sure, a Main Branch could run after a AWOL shinobi and get himself killed, but Guardians and ANBU never carried anything that would identify themselves as a member of that village if it were to happen to them. Guardians and ANBU also made it a priority to almost never tell anyone their names, even those among the village, but it was up to their discretion. The difference was, ANBU and Guardians were trained for these sort of tasks, and they had access to indefinite sources of information, clearance to interrogate, instant clearance to the prisons. A Main Branch could potentially try to do what they did, but it would be clumsy.

Megami had answered their questions, disclosing as much information as she could to those not among the branch. However, now it was her turn. It was only fair, right? "You asked me a question, now it's my turn. It's a simple question. What made you decide to attend this Seminar?" Yes, it was a simple question. Whether it was answered with insincerity or sarcasm, well that was just on them. She was cataloging all their answers for future reference. With her connections, any that actually did express interest, she could most likely get them where they need to be. But if not, well then at least she knew. Any that at least tried to learn made more effort than none.

The last explanation for his particular question was what drew his full attention and slightly revealed a seed of malcontent within him as his pupils would dilate before focusing solely on the mask. He was one who sought information for plenty of aspects of the world in which they lived and the nature of chakra which flowed through every living things body. Knowledge was his pursuit and it was something he would do anything to attain. When questioned about their own motives for being at the seminar he truly did not have to think long and hard about his answer. While he did not openly give away his power craving wants, he did focus on the primary core of what made him want to become an Anbu.

"Lightning-Sama my answer is my life, simple as that. I owe my brother everything and more and we promised to be there for each other always. How can I hold my end of our blood promise if he is within a different branch than myself. Where his shadow extends i'll always be there to ensure it is never resisted."

His statement was a play on words as he hinted to a few things in one explanation. As siblings they innately knew the others abilities and had been training amongst themselves to act upon the others strengths while backing up their weaknesses. He was his brother's other half for all descriptions of the statement. Where his brother inherited the shadows of their clan, he had inherited the chakra strength and while both could manipulate the senses easily with genjutsu..his brother had the fields of ninjutsu and taijutsu down pack while he was the master manipulator. Oyochi had already proven himself to be dangerous if left to make decisions on his own at this level but what people did not know was that his brother was what kept him focused and in checked.

If left alone without the aide of Souji's shadows, Oyochi's own darkness would surely manifest to fill the void.

Shin made his way down the halls to where the class was supposed to be being held, he moved a fast as he could realizing he was already running late. He felt euphoric as he rounded the corner nearing the room itself but also drawn in by sense of fear from disapproval that may be ahead of him again. He had finally made it as he stumbled through the door.

"..Hi..I am sorry for being late this is the ANBU class correct? He asked with a bit of a quiver to his voice in nervousness. "I ammm Amatsu Shin...". He said quickly while bowing as to quickly show his respect to who he only could imagine was his teacher. He looked around the class and saw that two other boys already where sitting in the class, he had been so nervous he had failed to notice even this till this very moment. Seeing a seat opening he went and sat down as he sat there for a few seconds he remembered he needed to have an object of great importance to him and bring it to class to place on the desk. He fidgeted for a minute thinking of the item even though he knew the item was with him to him it was almost a safety net for him a thing to keep him calm and keep something from getting him into trouble in case he was not allowed to have Him with him in class.

With a sigh he realized he had no choice it was sink or swim and he removed the large scarf he always had around his neck and placed it on his desk revealing a small fox kit that he always had with him. "..This is Kyibi...he can be here right...I..". He stumbled over his words with worry and fear the scarf was something that gave him a bit of courage when scared as something to hide behind. Kyibi jumped down from his shoulder to the desk and laid down on the scarf like a small thing of bedding.

He sat there for to Shin what felt like years but had probably not even been seconds as his doubt and fears started to over take him slightly.

Kyo would listen to Megami as she answered their questions, starting with his own before moving on to Oyochi's. What he took away after she had finished was that being a Guardian was far more than just serving as part of a branch, it was dedicating yourself to a higher power. The boy wasn't much of the religious type so he hoped that wouldn't hamper his chances much in becoming a Guardian, since he certainly didn't think it would be right if he lied about something like that. When she explained what exactly set their branch apart from the others it was exactly what he imagined, that they were essentially the highest order when it came to peacekeeping in Iwagakure and, by extension, the very best the village had to offer. Megami in turned asked them a question, and he didn't hesitate in his answer.

"Because I want to be Guardian." He would say simply, a cocky grin growing on his lips. "I want to put my exceptional skills into protecting the village, and what better way to do that then join the most elite group who strives to do that?" He would finish before looking towards the door as it opened, a new student joining them. He didn't look familiar to him, and by the way he sounded he seemed to be nervous. Of special interest would be the fact that he had a fox kit with him, the boy wondering how he managed to always get the classes that had animals in them.

Kyo and Oyochi's answers were both expected and interesting. Sometimes ones own reason for doing something can say a lot about their personality or the person they want to be. Kyo obviously was clean cut, he wanted to be a Guardian, simple as that. Oyochi's was a dedicated to his brother, just as the other was to him. Megami could understand that sort of bond. "Those are very noble causes. And that's why I'm here to assist you with your first step. So, if you're ready to begin, we can get into a few basic skills." Megami was about to address the reason behind having them bring an object they found special when she heard the opening of the door, looking towards it as Kyo had.

There was another boy that entered quickly, seeming to be flustered about his late entry. Megami looked at the clock, noting that the class had only started maybe fifteen minutes prior to his entrance, and thus saw no real need to scold him. "Yes, you're in the right place." The boy was very respectful, seeming to overly display his nerves about being late. She wondered what made him so jumpy, as this was a small class, but perhaps some were just nervous like that. He wasted no more time as he headed for another table. As the next part of her lesson involved said objects, she waited to make sure that Shin hadn't forgotten his in, what was perhaps, a rush to get to the classroom. He pulled out a scarf. A strange object to be considered personal, but she paused as she saw the fox. Usually Inuzuka had dogs, not foxes, but she didn't believe he was an Inuzuka. So, just a companion perhaps? Well, it wasn't her business. Just seemed like every person she ran into had some sort of animal on them. Dogs, snakes, foxes, she wondered what would come next. "He's fine, just make sure he doesn't make a mess or bite anyone." He looked harmless enough, so it was best not to dwell on it.

Ok, now the real lesson could begin. Turning back to the board, Megami erased the instructions and wrote down a numeric list of things she was going to cover in the Seminar. These would be done in small interactive demonstration segments where the students would be attempting to show off or learn their capabilities in performing these traits. The three traits consisted of Observation and Analysis, Discretion and Stealth, and finally the Presentation of one's Self. All of which were very important things in this field of work.
black-chalkboard2_zps4b518eb3.png
After she had finished writing, Megami turned around, ready to begin step one. "One of the most utilized skills in this branch is the ability to make observations of your surroundings, and then analyzing them to allow you to make the best decisions on your part. These skills are highly utilized when tracking, interrogating, scanning documents, simply having a conversation even. Being observant, and knowing how to properly look at that information will always give you an advantage over someone else." Megami knew this very well. Not only did it allow her to read people better, but it also allowed her to make the best decision for members of the village.

The students had waited long enough though, and now they would realize the purpose behind their instructions. "That is where your objects come in. Your first task is to look at the object that another student has brought, and try to distinguish something about them." It was not a hard task, per say, but it would certainly give the students an idea of the skill. "Since there are no even pairs, it'll go like this. Kyo, you will look at Oyochi's item, Oyochi you will look at Shin's item, and Shin you will look at Kyo's item. When you think you have something figured out, vocalize it. This is not a demonstration to prove how right or how wrong you are at reading a person, this is to give you an idea of ways to start looking at others, and recognizing behavior. This might even give you an idea of how others are perceiving you. I will not tolerate comments aiming to demoralize. If everything is clear, you may begin." Megami came around to the front of her own desk at the front of the room. She leaned back on it, resting there, with her arms crossed as she waited to see how the students would do with the first task that had been given to them.

Hearing that he that Kyibi could stay and he was not too late Shin calmed down more. As Lightning-sama gave them the instructions of their lesson he wondered what would they think of him would there be something He did not even relies about himself possibly. Putting the thought aside he gazed over to the boy named Kyo wondering if he could possibly understand this person just from a item they had placed on the desk.

A simple silver ring with a chain laid on Kyo's desk it did not seem like something one would get for themselves but....maybe a gift or something from a person dear to him. Shin's mind thought of the possibilities of what this could signify to the type of person this boy was.
With a deep breath Shin stood up to speak figuring it was now or never.

"I believe by Kyo's item that he is a person that holds deep bonds with people and values those close to him. The item I guess is probably a gift or a item that belonged to someone Kyo values...I think at least."

Shin stumbled over the end of his sentence as he got a bit nervous about his answer. As he finished his answer he sat back down at his desk.

His pupils migrated away from Lightning-Sama's appearance and instead focused upon the newcomer to the classroom whom he had also been tasked with observing and telling his opinion about the boy's item. While it would have been easier to do this had he been paying attention to the boy from the start, the fact that he was late coupled with the notion that Oyochi honestly paid little attention to his initial appearance caused him to take more time than generally needed. Personally he felt that his objective was a more complicated one the more he stared at the boy named Shin, mainly due to his speech stumbling. It was a minute detail that maybe would have gone unnoticed had it not happened on two separate occasions within the class and each time dealing with when the boy had to address the class's administrator. He could not help but wonder if the boy was entirely new to the academy as his mannerisms were simple signs of nervousness.

Oyochi placed his left palm beneath his chin, supporting his angled head while his eyes continued to make Shin their sole focus however this time his gaze was set upon both the scarf and the fox kit. While the initial instructions stated that each student bring an item that they cherished the most and place upon the desk, he could not help but begin mental assumptions that this kid had actually brought two. The question he had to ask himself was in fact which one was of the most importance to the boy. Due to the fact that the scarf was the item placed down first it was obviously apparent that it held some importance to the kid since he did not go directly into revealing the fox kit from the start. Thought also the fact that he carried the fox kit with him even into the academy grounds and by default his class(s) also meant that between the two of them, the companionship factor was also present. This was not unlike Oyochi and his own companion which he kept on his body, albeit hidden from normal view coiled comfortably within his belt pouch. After analyzing enough of his target, Oyochi would raise his hand signalling that he was ready and next in line to give his preliminary analysis. While he did not stand up like Shin did, since it was not insisted that they did so, he did focus his gaze onto Megami with his palm still supporting his tilted head.

"My target is a more complicated read due to the nature of his item or should I say items. While he firstly chose to place his scarf down upon the table in response to the instructions on the board the fact that carried upon his body was also a fox kit, which he specifically wanted to ensure was capable of being in attendance also shows personal importance. The scarf being an article of clothing which he used to conceal the fox kit might give rise to someone who is lacking in personal confidence, whether it be in his sense of belonging or a fear of failure. The only reason I say this is because it seems that he also stutters over his words showing second thoughts. The fox kit in itself is a whole other region of thought, it denotes companionship and the ability to bond with something else, possibly in place of initial friendship from other students or children. While it doesn't look like much, it would not be far to assume that the fox kit itself is his actual "item" of choice while the scarf is somewhat of a secondary tie that bonds the two of them together."

Oyochi's lips closed as he realized he might have possibly revealed more traits about himself that he had initially wanted to. He personally understood that his observation of the fox kit was very well similar to why he carried around and bonded with a companion outside of the human race and kept it close, close enough to where his own item of choice was in actuality linked to his companion. There was also the thought that he shown his heightened sense of observational skills as well, which were only sharpened recently due to his intensive training underneath his Overseer that took advantage of habit of information processing. This was something that those of his clan had in common as in order to make genjutsu their main discipline, members of the Yukata had to be able to pay attention to every faucet of information of their surroundings in order to ensure optimum survival. You could say that observation and reaction were natural instincts that were heightened in the Yukata Clan.

Kyo would turn his attention back to Megami, figuring that if she had no problem with an animal in the classroom then it must mean it was alright. He wondered if Shin was one of those Inuzuka people, the ones who had a close affinity for animals. Or perhaps he just happened to be extremely attached to the creature, though that still would make it weird that he brought it to class. Megami continued to speak, pointing out the reason why she had them each bring something important to them. Shin would be the first one to speak up, taking a look at the item he had brought to class, thinking it over before he had responded. He was close, but then again it wasn't something that would've been very hard to figure out. He wouldn't respond with an affirmation of his suspicions as he wasn't instructed to do so, instead giving the boy a smile before turning his attention to Oyochi. The boy had gone all in when it came to analyzing Shin, not only talking about his scarf but also about the fox he had brought in with him. It now came to him, Kyo slowly standing up as he looked towards the scroll, after a few moments deciding to get a better look and moving to Oyochi's desk. He stood in front of him, eyes meeting his perhaps, the first time they had met since the incident during the mission.

"It's a summoning scroll." He would say as he looked down at the object on the desk. "Since this is supposed to be an object that's personal to him, and by what I picked up from what he said earlier...I suspect that it's something important in his family. His brother's I would guess by the way he talks about him." He would say, eyes moving back up to meet Oyochi's before he began to walk back to his desk. "And if he's allowed to walk around with it then he more than likely knows how to use it, which would make him stronger than he looks." He would say with a grin as he moved to stand back at his desk.

[Notice: An issue with classes has popped up on a ruling of whether or not classes that don't receive OOC rewards can still be counted towards graduation exam credit. If you are taking this class for the OOC rewards please let me know and we can proceed as normal. If not, please let me know as well. If that is the case, this topic will need to be put on hold for the time being until this is sorted out. I'm really sorry guys, I just don't want you to waste your time.]

It was good to see the students follow through the exercise quite well. While ultimately what was said was up to the owner of the item to divulge if such statements were true, it wasn't necessarily true that a guardian or ANBU would be right in their assumptions of a person all the time anyway. The demonstration was just to get them thinking about using context clues to their advantage. Megami had already surmised that Shin's nerves rattled him a bit, as he gave off signs of a slight speech impediment and perhaps kept the kit nearby as a companion that was free from judgment. Oyochi on the other hand seemed stoic and detached, like his brother. And maybe his item served as nothing more than a practical use in any case, so maybe Kyo wasn't far off to make those assumptions. Kyo's item reminded her of her own pendant, the one she shared with her sister. Many types of sentiment could go into such a thing, and Megami didn't know any of these students well enough to guess the accuracy of any of these claims, but they were good guesses in any case.

She simply watched as each took their turn guessing what the items could mean. Watching and listening, and just examining the spark of potential that each student had, and where they needed work at. But once they were finished she gave her own pointers. "While you all did well, you could all use some work too, which is fine for beginners. Shin, you need to develop more confidence in yourself, be sure of your decisions. You will be able to assure others and yourself in everything that you do. Oyochi, your deductive reasoning is sound and thorough, but I can't help feel it's detached. Something I see with your brother. But lacking in compassion can also hinder your ability to relate to others, and they may come to shut you out. And finally, Kyo, while a good use of context clues around you, but you may rely too much on them. Things in this world are always changing, and people can always lead you to believe things that are untrue based on verbal communication and environmental conveniences. While you may not be incorrect in this case, it could happen." Megami wasn't saying these things to be harsh, but this was a class and perfection was unachievable by anyone. People could always improve and it was her job as a leader to try to bring out the best in others, especially those that work for her or potentially are interested in working for her.

Now, turning back to her box, Megami placed the items back inside it, and placed a seal lock onto the box that adhered to her chakra signature. She then proceeded to clean off the chalkboard. "We're done with this classroom, so if you'll follow me down the hallway we'll start the next lesson." She placed the box of items into a summoning scroll and back into a pack before opening the door to the classroom and heading out. She would proceed to take the students that followed her down to a gymnasium that was now turned into an artificial forest, constructed mainly out of cardboard. Megami turned to the students, giving them time to take in their surroundings with their analysis skills before moving on. "We will be executing the lesson of Stealth and discretion here. Stealth will save you from getting killed in some instances, or preventing others from discovering your location for whatever reason you may need it. ANBU and Guardians use this to their advantage when taking down suspected targets, traitors, acquiring information, or missions outside of the village. Your first exercise is to enter stealth successfully. To enter stealth, you must look for prime hiding places, or places that allow you to most blend in with your surroundings or remain hidden from view from others, and choose your location with some thought. Your task is to not immediately be seen by me, but if your other classmates can't see you as well all the better. Begin when ready." Megami placed a hand over her eyes, and paid their life essence no mind. Sure, this was like a grown up game of hide and seek, but in all honest that's kind of what stealth was. It would be interesting at least.

OOC Information for the following round said:
For this section of the class, I will be having Souji roll stealth rolls for whomever RPs entering stealth. I will place myself on the equivalent of a maxed out C-Rank student, instead of comparing it to my own stat pool. He will post in regards to whom I can and cannot see immediately in my first 3 seconds of looking around, and who all those in stealth can see as well. If you have any issues with this, just send me a PM.

1. If you use any jutsu or items related to entering stealth, Link them in your post somewhere. (if using any jutsu or items, you can only use 1)

Shin listened as Lightning-sama explained things to them about her findings with each of their answers. She was right and Shin knew that his confidence had always been low but that is why he was taking the steps he is now so as to make a change in himself.

He sat up from his desk and wrapped the scarf back round his neck while picking up the young fox kit to place back onto his shoulders as to follow her off to their next lesson area.

As they reached the next area it seemed to be a gymnasium that had been turned into a makeshift forest. Lightning-sama explained this was a stealth test and so Shin immediately scanned the area for the place he felt may give the best cover for him and his small fox. He spotted a nice space between a group of makeshift trees to give him a decent chance he hoped.

Now Shin could only hope things worked out for him.

[OOC: Shin used the Hidden Mist Jutsu: Mastered-Link to aid in his concealment for this test.]

Oyochi was truely similar to his brother in many facets of their lives including his ability to seem detached though was was truly unique and dangerous about him, was his eyes. While it was true that some people wore their emotions on their sleeves and others hidden, he was an entirely different breed as just being around him seemed to give people general confusion on how he was feeling. This was all correlating with the fact that the look of his gaze never changed, regardless of the situation. It was a primal stare that said many things about his character however the most prevailing was a sense of overall disillusion to the world. That is and was always his outlook to the world, a sort of it's all about me so forget the rest instinct. While some could have said such a behavior could prove costly, for him it was natural and as such he simply could not turn it off at a whim. Even while Kyo had stated his observation and Megami had spoken about their individual traits, it would be hard to gauge if what was said about Oyochi was the truth since he didn't react at all. Instead he simply sat there his stare undaunted and unmoved from their target, Lightning-Sama.

Once things were said and done, they were all escorted towards the gym which had been retrofitted to be modeled after a wooded scenery. Details as to why soon followed along with a challenge of sorts by the instructor whom spoke about stealth and gave them simple instructions on how to enter it. He figured that what he main mistakes were in this situation was underestimating the fact that due to being a Yukata, Oyochi was naturally attuned to disappearing and by default reappearing at a moments notice. Her second fault was by placing her hands over her eyes after instructing them to hide from her, something that he was very capable of doing but not behind some fabricated creations meant to mimic a forest. Once her eyes were covered he would venture away from the other two students without so much as a word muttered to them. Comfortable with his chosen location away from everyone and behind the pseudo trunk of a tree, his fingertips of the right palm went to work forming handseals though with only that one palm Upon crafting the final seal, his body would literally sink into the ground and flooring as if it had suddenly turned into a liquid. Essentially he had chosen not to hide with the fake trees, but below everything in general as it was a place that simply could not be found using the five senses alone.

Megami had them follow her to the gymnasium, the boy's eyes widening as he saw that it had been converted into an artificial forest. His question of what they were going to do would be swiftly answered as Megami explained that they would be attempting to hide from her within the forest. He had to admit that stealth wasn't his strongest suit, but he certainly wasn't going to fail out by not trying. After she finished explaining how it would work she would cover her eyes as if this were some kind of children's game, the boy wasting no time as he turned and ran into the woods, activating his Byakugan so he could keep tabs on where Megami was facing even with his back to her, nimbly leaping up to climb into a particularly dense tree and hiding in it's branches.
