Setsuna arrived at the gate for her assigned duty. As a chunnin, she was given this assignment pretty often given the state of peace the world was in. After all, if things were on high alert, the jounin ranked ninja who weren't away on mission would likely be serving as guard at the gates. Still, she wasn't going to complain. She was proud to do her part in service for the village. It was the truest model of order and she was happy to serve.
However, when you've gotten unlucky and been assigned to handle a huge caravan train filled to the good with trade goods, it can be hard not to resent it. While there were not many passports to oversee, Setsuna had to inspect every one of the wagons for contraband and she was not one to slack off. Which in turn made the caravan owners quite perturbed as well. It took a good two hours for her to search the good for anything illegal and much to her assumption found nothing out of place. This was a rare occurrence as most people accidentally bring things in they don't even know are illegal within the city.
With a gold standard inspection that not one guard captain could dispute, the long train of goods was sent within the gates and off to their locations, spurring the economy of the great village. With a simple request to her superior, she took position atop the wall to take a break and watch the activity from a bird's eye view. Having spent two hours with one bit of processing was more tiring that you would believe. And she still had eight more hours to go! Her thoughts went to her situation with her family. Things hadn't really changed for the most part. With all the money, she was doing things a little different but she was still a soldier. And it was a soldiers life she was determined to lead.
After her break was over, she leapt back down to resume her duty, proud to be apart of Kumogakure.
