Kamaru thought it was odd the man had asked to meet at a bar over drinks also the talk of wing man had Kamaru wondering if it was part of training. Taijutsu buffing techniques didn’t really need a lot of room Kamaru figured; maybe practicing in a confined area was actually more beneficial especially among a public setting to also get in the habit of masking what one was doing. When he walked in he had mixed emotions. Several empty beer mugs were stationed in front of the man defeated as he swayed slightly.
The man squinted at Kamaru who only just waved, as the smell and bodily jerk from the man as he bobbed from side to side grabbing the half empty mug and gulping it down he slammed it down next to its defeated brethren.
”ANOTHER ONE!” the man roared topping several of the mugs.
He slumped onto the table grumbling…
”Baaashtards didn even bodher tashow.” he ranted suddenly his index finger making small circles in the condensation from his many drinks.
”I can’t talk shoo da lashies if I’m all alond…” his said in a quitter voice while he pouted.
As the man in tears now darted out to hug Kamaru he surprised by the action involuntarily causing Kamaru to moved out of the way out of instinct and a great want to not smell or reek of alcohol like the guy. Kamaru sided as the man had a minor midlife crisis wondering if he’d die of old age alone and desperate. Kamaru gingerly patted the man on his back while he sobbed. He didn’t realize this was part of his job as the head instructor at the academy but currently it seemed like the right thing to do.
When the man stopped sobbing and looked behind Kamaru it made Kamaru turn around to see what was going to happen next. Three ladies and a larger man seemed to be waiting and looking at the two.
”Are you two here for the group drinks party?” one of the ladies asked.
Kamaru started to explain, ”I think so only the other guys d-“ before the man next to him slide a hand over his mouth.
”LATE, they’re late.” the man explained.
”I guess… granted those two look like a couple.” Kamaru commented aloud.
”Eeeh! Hana isn’t a guy!” the man explained.
Kamaru blinked and checked quieting everyone and immediately sober the man who was to this point depressed.
”You’re right, my mistake.” Kamaru admitted as he pull hand away.
”Oy, oy… remember how you wanted to practice some techniques? Hope you know how to block.” the man explained moving out of the way.
Kamaru had enough time to say, ‘Ah’ getting his arms up before the punch connected with his mid-section.
”What the hell do you think you’re doing!” Hana, the lady, roared.
Kamaru slide back a ways before he side stepped out of the way of a tackle. As she moved spinning to dive at him again she was surprised when Kamaru rushed at her leaping into a chair next to her as a chair shattered off his arm as he looked away. While Hana seemed pretty focused on pounding him into the ground for feeling her up to see if she was actually a girl she hadn’t noticed bumping three guys causing them, to drop their beers and their angered expressions.
”New training session option, improvised brawl?” Kamaru said staring at his fellow teacher. As the man started to nod Kamaru slipped off the stool to the ground snatching up a scrap of wood between him and the man who had attacked smacking the other two in the face with a makeshift baton before turning on the last man and stopped. Hana had flipped the man onto his stomach his legs held in an odd knot as he screamed getting a thumbs up from Kamaru.
The rest of the night Hana and Kamaru seemed to get along discussing brawling and techniques. From what Kamaru noticed his fellow teacher ended up drinking with the others.
