((I think I read that I can get a core ability through this application, if so I'd like to apply for Ghostwalker))
Name: Tensho, Bando
Age: 15
Rank: Genin
Gender: Male
General Description: Being able to see the things that go bump in the night oftentimes tends to leave it's mark on you. Bando is a sallow and sickly looking boy that constantly appears to be extremely tired and looks like he skips his vegetables for every single meal. Not to mention the fact that his family is the premier demon and ghost slayer family in Kumogakure no Sato and you realize that there is a lot of burden for one kid's shoulders. With wispy and fine black hair that parts in the middle and weaves it's way down each side of his head and dull black eyes that are as previously mentioned have permanent bags and a sunk in appearance. Although he often covers up with full bodied attire, under all the clothes one would find that there are an incredible amount of scars and bite marks that almost seem to be transparent in appearance. Another key mark that separates the Tensho aside from another shinobi clan is that, each one has a tattoo that emblazons their right shoulder and that their chakra signature can be seen as a wispy grey smoke that flutters around the inside of their body. He stands at around 5'10" and refuses to tell anyone his weight for fear of lecturing.
Getting into how he is as a person, to say that Bando is a quiet person would be an incredible understatement for you could probably fit every single word he had ever said into the first page of a journal. It isn't because he dislikes speaking or anything, but he lives his life with a personal motto. "One should only speak when to improve upon one's silence." However this does not mean that the boy is not kind or dumb, but rather he enjoys his own thoughts as company much more. He is incredibly adept at getting his point across through gestures and the occasional one worded line, it's an amazement that the boy has even had the chance to become a shinobi but he made it through with flying colors. Seeing ghosts and demons has also given the boy a great sense of duty and honor towards his fellow man however, and he will go out of his way to do good deeds always no matter what the outlying circumstances.
History: In the Tensho clan, it is believed that the world was created from a dance. In the beginning there was only a black pond that rippled from movement but asides from that lay forever still, one day the great God of Death and the Goddess of Life gathered as one on the pool and began to waltz together, through this waltz they fall in love and at the same time they began to birth children. These children were known as the "First Ones" and were ghostlike beings that all matter passed through. The God was impressed with his children, for they were closer in essence to him than to their mother. But their mother was deeply saddened by her children and incredibly lonely through her inability to give her great gifts to her sons and daughters, so a pact was formed between the two and the children were divided into two. Half became the creatures that you tell scary stories to make your children behave (ghosts, oni, djinn, etc.) and the other half became the flesh and blood humans that walk the world today.
Fast forwards in time to when the world was still young and there was more chaos than order, and the Tensho clan had been formed in a country that the name of had been lost to the spans of time. They were first and foremost great blacksmiths whose work was admired and cherished throughout the world, but secondly it was believed that some of the Goddess' most favored children became the Tensho and through the only bitter moment their mother had ever had, blessed the family with the ability to perceive and know those that hide behind the realms of shadows and also had given them the sole decree that they were the family that was expected to keep order and balance between the two races. So it soon came to be that the Tensho realized that they had been given a divine task.
When the world finally split into what were known as the "Great Shinobi Nations" the Tensho clan set to work and through their greatest act of craftsmanship created six different weapons that were made of a rare metallic liquid and were capable of slaying evil beasts and lost souls with great aplomb. The six weapons were known as follows.
I. Shiramusen - The Sword of Silent Suffering
II. Gojiramusen - The Axe of Alarming Annihilation
III. Hatakamusen - The Bow of Benevolent Butchering
IV. Mahuramusen - The Spear of Specter Slaughter
V. Kidomusen - The Gloves of Ghoul Grabbing
VI. Kamimusen - The Scythe of Soul Snuffing
With these six weapons the Tensho clan made a name for themselves as premier ghost hunters and slayers and protected villages from the forces that most people were completely unaware of, in order to make the balance of power fair and just. Two of each weapon went to one of the three of the greatest nations no matter what those nations are at the time that means that at least two Tensho operate in that area. Bando's father and uncle and their respective families were the descendants of those two original clan leaders. In Kumogakure no Sato the two great weapons are Mahuramusen and Gojiramusen with his father and uncle possessing those respectively. Bando himself is slowly being groomed to possess one of those weapons, although which one is still a mystery.
It is worth noting that their gift comes at a great price, those of the Tensho clan are only capable of using Genjutsu and Taijutsu and are unable to weave chakra necessary to use Ninjutsu, thankfully their skill is high enough that they can still serve as shinobi under whatever Kage of the village they abide in, it is just a strange genetic quirk that has become prevalent over the years.
Bando's academy days were rather interesting considering the boy's unique personality, although he excelled at his classes and was given the graduation exam (albeit a little later than most kids) at the ripe old age of 13. For the next year he continued to hone his skills, and also began to delve even deeper into his families illustrious secrets. During this year was when the horrors that he had seen began to take a toll on his psyche in the appearance of insomniac traits. He made no friends during his academy days which was fine with him because in his head he figured he would have the rest of his life to do so. The most recent catastrophic event was when he was wounded in a battle with an oni that left him in the hospital for an entire year, during this time his body became incredibly weak and asides from all of his most basic shinobi knowledge everything else was lost to him.
Enter the present moment, just recently released from the hospital he strives to get right back into training and becoming not only a great demon slayer, but also a great asset to his village as well.
