All things considered, this was a good week. Zashi finally got the girl (or rather, the girl got him) and he passed one of his first more serious missions. As fate would have it, he had another mission planned soon afterwards, and this time, he got to kill something. Or rather, someone, assuming everything went as planned. Sunagakure had charged his target with assault, and abandoning her post. He had a runner.
He loved those.
He had been on her tail for a while now, and had managed to chase her out of the village and into Project Rebirth to minimize civilian casualties. He caught her somewhere muddled down with construction, atop a series of pillars and unfinished walls. The beautiful desert expanded before them, completely silent.
"I've always had a problem with people who would go and disfigure girls. My first confirmed kill was the same way, you know." Zashi activated his sharingan, staring at her dead in the eyes. "I could go and capture you, and maybe this makes me a hypocrite, but I think you oughta get taught a lesson. So gimme a reason to kill you so I can go home and make my girlfriend dinner."
"Disgusting... disgusting disgusting disgusting!" Miya charged towards Zashi, who immediately met her aggression with a flurry of fire. This didn't seem to hinder her much, given that she had stone flesh. He made a mistake, and now he would face the consequences. Earthen Fist. Nice. His gut was hit with a mass of stone in the shape of a clenched fist, and he tumbled backwards off the edge of the scaffolding. He quickly clutched a pillar and, using the momentum from the strike, flung himself into the air to draw his Festival Beat. The accuracy from his sharingan gave him a perfect angle, and she was still in an open stance from channeling her chakra earlier.
Power Shot.
Her arm, stony as it was, cracked open. Whether it was bone or stone, it shattered into a handful of pieces. Zashi quickly slung his gun to his back and pulled out his sword, moving in. She was fast for her composition, though, and she quickly dodged to the left on the platform where she stood. This move spared her arm, and moved Zashi into the perfect position for another Earthen Fist.
Zashi's voice took a horrible tone that bothered even him. "That arm is mine, rocky." He let out a grotesque chuckle at his quip and lept over the fist, going again for the arm. If he was gonna kill her, he needed proof. The idea of capturing her never even occured to him. At this point, he was seeing red. Rage came easy to him, and having an arsenal of weaponry only made it more evident. With a string of leaps he jumped over and around the fist to slash off her arm. As she recoiled, he aimed, and made one decisive shot to the back of her head. If she wasn't dead before, she was sure dead now.
"May your soul never wander, sister. May the court forgive your sins, and may you forgive those who sinned against you. Forever rest in bliss." Mission completed.
