Name: Roku
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Personality: Due in large part of his brother's watchfulness over him Roku has maintain a more nonchalant personality. Life is something that is always happening so he has chosen to remove himself from getting bogged down in the stress of it all; he controls his own destiny. Roku is fiercely loyal to his older brother who he admires as a father figure and because of that has mimicked some of Saemon's characteristics, namely his battle style and ruthlessness. In a world full of black and white constraints he is a figure forged in grey and soaked in red...
Description: Roku is 5'10" with a muscular build. This body was not completely his choice but created from his upbringing and environment. Saemon's teachings of battle and Roku's knack for getting into trouble made him have a need for a body built out of steel. The wear and tear over the years is apparent; his body coated in scars with the two jutting down the left side of his face being the most prominent, yet he still carries a child-like smirk as he goes about his business. His eyes, the same deep green of his brother, are one of his more gentle features.
History:
Roku knew very little of his ancestry or his lineage in the grand scheme of Sunagakure history. He was told that at one point his father was an enlisted member of the shinobi corps and that before him his father was also a member of some great deeds within the annals of Suna history. He knew not if this meant a connection to the First Men or the Sunaku but could only assume that if his bloodline did not delineate from that it held some other connection to it.
At a younger age his youngest brother was taken from him. At the age of 6 Roku's father was taken from him. Following the death of his father his mother was taken from him, not in death but in the prison of alcohol dependency. The one constant, the one thing he could count on in his life was his older brother, Saemon. Roku was raised by his old brother barely remembering their father. The grudges and scars that Saemon held were there for Roku but he did not carry them with the same passion. He saw the resentment Saemon held for how their family was torn apart so that pain, that rage did carry with him.
As he got older Roku, who began living with his brother who had turned to the shinobi lifestyle, found himself wanting to explore the world. Jealous that his brother was living a life of adventure, living as a warrior, he too wanted to get into the action. Entering the academy Roku would be introduced to the hidden rage within him, taking pleasure in getting into fights whether he won or not. Some teachers viewed Roku's behavior as borderline sociopathic at times but he saw it as a game; fighting felt good so why couldn't he fight? Eventually he graduated from the academy but still did not feel like he had obtained what his brother had so he began to wonder around the village searching for fights, adventures and anything that could possibly entertain him. This lifestyle lead him to becoming a vagrant, sleeping in alleys, living off scraps and stealing to obtain things he wanted. When he grew tired of that style he would return home to his brother and live the life of a 'normal' shinobi.
