Pt 1: Initiation Day

This was yet another infiltration and elimination mission given to her. Kaori really wished that these missions be given to people that weren't students like she was, however, due to her strength as a student, she was given this mission anyway. Her job is to infiltrate a cult going by the name 'Behemoth Acolytes of the End'. It was only fitting that the cult would reside at the Valley of the End; what an original name and concept. Intelligence was gathered, giving Kaori the exact location of the cult's camp. Her job, this time, is to simply become an initiate within the cult. From there, she would have several other objectives--but for the time being, she just needed to properly join the cult.

Kaori had nothing more than her Gloves of Divine Dragon Flame upon her hands and the clothes upon her back. Cults generally don't want people to have anything binding them to the outside world and she had a ploy to allow herself to keep the gloves upon her the entire time. There was no way she was going to allow them to confiscate the gloves from her. Kaori walked over a hill until she saw a community living atop of the hill. The people seem self-sufficient being able to feed themselves with growing their own crops and caring for their own animals. They had another amenities such as gas-lanterns that hung upon posts, littering the area, unlit for now during day-time hours. It was like Kaori was taking a glance into the past at how human civilization used to live before the advent of towns and technology.

She was swiftly spotted and alarm bells started to ring. People began to panic and drop what they were doing and ran inside while the 'enforcers' of the cult started to run towards Kaori with weapons in-hand and circled around her. They all shouted out, at different times, for her to get on her knees and put her hands behind her head. Once she deciphered what they wanted, she quickly complied before a man, who seemed to be the obvious leader of the 'enforcer' squad approached her, peering over the shoulders of one of the men holding a weapon at her.

"Who are you and what do you want?" the man asked. Kaori didn't seem to be visibly shaken by the overwhelming force for a single person. On the contrary, she looked extremely confident. She looked around herself towards the men and women pinning her down with their weapons before looking up towards the leader with a big smile upon her face. "I was told that you guys take in the rejected and displaced?" Kaori asked before the man nodded and ordered the 'enforcers' to stand down. After the order was given, the 'enforcers' lowered their weapons and stepped back, holding their weapons at-ease.

"Let her in and let her speak to the Great Beast. He has been expecting new-comers," he said as he looked Kaori up and down for a moment. A big grin came across his face and nodded. "Yes, especially one shaped like her," he said with a bit of laughter. He turned to look towards one of the other females who brandished a weapon. "Kisana, you will escort her to the Great Beast immediately. Everyone else will return to their posts," the man said. After standing down, everyone returned to their posts and the alarm stopped, causing everyone who fled to return to their usual place.

Kaori turned and looked towards Kisana and smiled at her, waving with her fingers. "Hi! My name is Kaori," she said before her smile turned into a dumb-founded look on her face. The woman by the name of Kisana was looking at Kaori oddly, turning her attentions from Kaori's face to Kaori's horns. She even reached out and touched one of Kaori's horns. "Are these actually real?" Kisana asked as Kaori recoiled and laughed a bit uncomfortably. "Yes, they are quite real. Please don't touch them," she said out of instinct. She didn't like people looking at her horns, let alone touch them with their bare hands. Kisana cleared her throat and nodded. "Oh, right. Sorry. Well, please follow me so I can show you over to the Great Beast,"

Kisana regained her composure and walked Kaori through the village. There were strange looks going her way as she walked through the village. Low toned voices murmured as all of their attention seemed to be fixated upon Kaori's horns. She looked around and noticed all of this as they were walking through the village. "Kisana. Why is everyone looking at me like that?" she asked in a concerned manner. "All will be answered when you speak with the Great Beast," the woman said with a big smile upon her face. It seemed that everyone thought very highly of this 'Great Beast' as if he was some kind of god-figure.
This obviously lead Kaori to believe that this person is their leader--the one pulling the stringers, the great manipulator, the creator of the kool-aid, the heaven-sent himself, and other names that Kaori could think of for a cult like this.

The duo came towards a small gazebo with a man having a glass of wine pressed to his lips. He was dressed rather lavishly with a couple of the females, dressed very scantily servicing him with fruits and massages (and probably other things). The man turned his head towards the newcomers to the gazebo and quickly stood up, noticing Kaori within the group. "Kisara!"

"It's Kisana."

"So this is the new girl then, hm, Kisara?" the man asked causing Kisana to roll her eyes at the man's insistence of intentionally getting her name wrong. She followed up with a nod of her head. The man looked around and shoo'd everyone away to including his 'concubines' and even Kisana leaving Kaori alone with this 'Great Beast' that everyone referred to him as. The man held the glass of wine in his hand as he walked around Kaori. She looked at the man with an examining eye before his eyes drifted from her rear, to her breasts, and then to her horns. "Yes, a fine specimen. A very fine specimen, indeed," he said as he whirled around her and grabbed a hand-full of Kaori's rear only for Kaori's instant reaction to be her clobbering the man in the face. The punch sent the man flying into the support structure of the gazebo.

His guards came forward only for the man to laugh and wave them off. "Seems like you have some fight in you. Looks like adding you to my harem would be completely out of the question huh? But something interests me, I could make good use of you, even if you won't let me touch your body. But you'll have to lose the gloves," the man said non-chalantly. Kaori simply laughed and shrugged her shoulders. "That's easier said than done. These are soul-bound to me. Get one of your strong-men to try to pull it off," she said as the man hooked his head towards one of his larger guards before he grabbed a hold of Kaori's hand and tried to pull off the gloves only for the man to look back towards the Great Beast and shook his head before retreating.

"Oh, how rude of me," the man said before taking a sip of his wine. "How rude of me. Let me introduce myself. I am the 'Great Beast'. At least that is what my flock referred to me as. I am the leader of this group who have a desire to resurrect the Grand Beast of Calamity. The Grand Beast of Calamity, yes you have to say the entire thing--it's like 'A Tribe Called Quest'. The Grand Beast of Calamity's goal is to purge the world of insidious behavior and allow the righteous and meager to inherit this world. Cleansing those that see this planet as it's plaything. You agree with this righteous cause, right?" the man turned towards Kaori and asked.

"Well, it's good to meet you, 'Great Beast'. You can call me, Kaori. And tell me, what is it that you wish to 'use me' for? But your goals, yes, it does seem quite intriguing," she said as she showed faux interest in the clan's goals. She wasn't really interested in the clan's goals, but now she knows their motivation;
to revive a beast that would bring calamity to the world and it was her job to stop the revival or defeat the beast.

"Kaori, you say? That's such a pretty name. You came at just the right time too. Actually, you came at the most perfect time. I'll allow you to join the flock,
but I need to use you right now,
" the man said as he walked over towards Kaori, grabbing her by the arm and escorted her to the large chateau that resided within the community; a place for the Great Beast to stand on-high and give out declarations. After the duo found themselves in the chateau and near the balcony, he finally released his grip upon Kaori before Kaori slapped him clean across the face. "Yes, I clearly deserve that one. Soon, I will be addressing my flock and you will become the spearhead for the revival. All you have to do is stand there and look pretty for now," the man said as the meeting bells rang, giving everyone the sign to gather up.

After a short while, the bell turned off and the man turned to look towards Kaori and held his hand out. "I need you to come out with me. Your audience awaits," the man said as Kaori turned her eyes down to look at the man's hand for a moment and took his hand before walking out onto the balcony.

Pt 2: Here Cometh the Beast

The man known as 'The Great Beast' stands upon the ledge, overlooking his hundreds of followers. It was quite impressive to see that many people throw away their lives to follow the teachings of a single man. Kaori stood by his side as she looked over all of the followers of this cult. Their eyes were glossed over and empty looking, but bearing hope and adoration for the coming of the apocalypse that Kaori was most certain to bring about as this man's 'Key to Salvation'. The man stood in front of his crowd and held a hand up to silence the fanfare. After a hush came over the crowd, the man spoke up in a booming voice that was carried over speakers throughout the cult-owned land.

"Brothers, sisters, and my children! Today, divine providence smiled upon us. We have, before us, the 'Key to Salvation'!" the man shouted to his flock as he turned his shoulder to show off Kaori. "This child has made herself clear to us that she was the 'Key to Salvation' and the divine prophecy can now be fulfilled. On the eve of the Great Festival, it was destined that she would show up. Her horns are proof to any nay-sayers that she is the one; the one we have been waiting for!" the man said as there was uproarious fanfare about Kaori's arrival.
The man turned to Kaori and simply gave her a bright smile.

The man looked back towards his flock and threw his hands out to his side. "Tonight, we will dine well and prepare for the ceremony!
You are all dismissed!
" the man said trying to catch his breath as he spoke with passion and fervor. The loud cheers gave the man more and more energy as he turned to look towards Kaori with beads of sweat gathering at his brow. "What do you think, Kaori? Interesting,
no? You will play an integral part to tonight's ceremony. Don't worry, we won't sacrifice you,
" the man said with a little chuckle. Kaori responded in kind, but her chuckle was more of relief than of humor. Wouldn't be the first time she was offered up as a sacrifice.

"So, what exactly does this ceremony entail? Like, what am I expected to do?" Kaori asked before the man wiped the sweat from his forehead. A smile came across his lips before he started to walk back into the lavish estate and turned his attention to Kisana. "Please escort Lady Kaori to her new place. You will also be serving me tonight before the ceremony, Kisana," the man said as the girl nodded her head and turned to look towards Kaori with a huge smile upon her face. As she was about to speak, the Great Beast turned his attention back to Kaori and stated, "You'll know what you will be needed for when the time comes. Don't worry. After tonight, you will officially become a member of the flock and you will be given your responsibilities afterward. Now, I require some privacy so I can prepare myself for the ceremony," he said as he walked passed the two girls and went to somewhere else within the manor.

Kaori turned her eyes towards Kisana and raised a brow. "Service him?" she asked in wonder. Kisana nodded her head. She was about the same age as Kaori, if not just slightly older. "Yes, every female in the flock, once they reach a certain age, is expected to satisfy the Great Beast. We idolize him and in return for idolizing him, he will bring forth salvation for, not only us, but for the rest of the world. And since he found you, the 'Key of Salvation' we can see our dreams realized. We actually find it to be an honor to service him. A happy leader makes a happy flock," Kisana said as she had a bright smile upon her face, finding what's happening to be a jovial matter. Stockholm Syndrome was clearly evident within this cult.

"What if I were to tell you that everything done here is a lie and that nothing but devastation is what would be left in it's wake? That this man is a con-artist looking for riches (your riches) and power from his subjects. He asks you all to 'service' him at a whim, so--" she said as Kisana places a hand over Kaori's mouth to silence her. "Don't talk like that!" she said in a loud whisper. "Any dissent results in torture. And if I let you talk like that, I will get tortured so please stop," she said, pleading to Kaori to remain silent. Kaori scowled at the words spoken and she moved her hand up to lower Kisana's from her mouth.

"My room, please?" she simply asked as Kisana nodded her head and grabbed Kaori's hand and lead her through the estate and out towards the main populace. She was lead to a lavishing round hut; larger than most of the other places in the establishment and filled to the brim with scantilly clad women as servants. Kaori pulled her hand away from Kisana. She looked at all of the scantilly clad women and shouted. "Everyone out! I want privacy!" she said, stamping her foot upon the ground. Kisana tried to reason with her, but Kaori's firm resolve was firm. In compliance with the 'Key of Salvation' everyone respected Kaori's wishes and vacated the place.

Out from nowhere, she pulls out a headset and plugs it into her ear. "Yeah, I'm in," she said as she got deeper and deeper into the chamber, keeping her voice quiet so she wouldn't be heard. "Apparently I'm the 'Key of Salvation' to these people and they are going to go along with their ceremony tonight. Yes. Mmhmm. Understood," she said before removing the headset and returning it back to where she got it from. Afterward, she just laid in the bed and waited for nightfall.

Hours later...
Kisana could be seen wiping off the corners of her lips with a tissue as the Great Beast began to get dressed. "It's almost time, Kisana. Go and summon the Key," the man said as he cleared his throat. Kisana stood up and walked over to her clothes and puts them on, piece-by-piece. After putting on the rest of her clothes, she turned to look towards the Great Beast and smiled at him. "It's been a pleasure, Great Beast," she said as she walked out of the estate and towards the round hut that Kaori was residing in. She knocked on the door and entered to see Kaori pacing around the hut, anxious. Something was very different about Kaori right now, as if she was getting herself mentally prepared for something terrible to happen.

"Don't worry, Kaori. Nothing bad will happen to you during the ceremony. The Great Beast will just draw a little bit of your blood to use in the ceremony, so it's nothing to worry about," Kisana said, ensuring to Kaori that she won't die during this ordeal. Kaori returned the smile and nodded. But that wasn't what she was worried about. "Anyway, it's time, let's go," she said as Kaori looked back towards Kisana once again and nods. Kaori followed her to a place extremely secluded where an altar was set up.

At the altar, the Great Beast stood and the many hundreds of followers surrounded the area. A large pyre was ignited and Kaori was told to strip. This was part of her mission so she had to do it. Removing all of her clothes, she was then laid down upon the stone altar with her left hand held out.
The Great Beast moved, with a ceremonial knife, towards Kaori only to see the gloves upon her hands. She shrugged her shoulders. "I can't remove them," she said as the Great Beast turned to look at the man that apprehended her at the gates. The man gave the Great Beast a nod and the Great Beast leaned in held Kaori's wrists and poked it just enough to draw blood. The man then bathed the dagger in Kaori's blood, rubbing the flat edge of the knife in the blood to make a light coating upon it.

The man held the dagger up to the sky for a moment and said something in an unrecognizable language. As the man spoke, everyone else followed suit. Their chants caused the altar to glow red. After the altar glowed red, the man drove the dagger directly into his heart. This caused Kaori's eyes to grow large as the man fell over limp with the dagger still in his chest. She got up to try to give the man some medical attention only for there to be a strange barrier around him. She looked around and pounded on the barrier. A mighty roar could be heard as a massive creature appeared from seemingly nowhere.

The creature was massive, standing at about 40 feet tall. It took a single step towards the group of cultists and bit into the group, grabbing tens of them at a time. "IT FEEDS!!! IT GATHERS STRENGTH!" shouted one of the cultists. Kaori's eyes moved towards Kisana and she rushed over to her. There was this look of ecstasy in her eyes as she looked up at the creature, Kaori slapped her across the face to bring her back to reality. "Wake up!
That thing is going to eat you and you're going to die!
" she said as Kisana looked unphased from the strike.

"No, that thing will lead us to salvation. It is eating so it can gather strength," she said in pure ecstasy, as if staring revelations in the face. Kaori grit her teeth and turned her eyes towards the downed man. If that dagger could bring that creature into this world, it can take it out of this world. Karo then ran over towards the Great Beast and yanked the dagger out of his heart. With the dagger in-hand, Kaori ran up to the creature,
up it's mighty arms and with a single thrust, stabbed the creature in the back of the neck. With a mighty roar, it's body stiffened and fell down. Kaori sighed outward and threw the dagger down onto the ground.

There was something strange about the cultists though, they didn't seem bothered. "IT SHALL RISE!!! IT SHALL RISE AGAIN AND DELIVER US FROM EVIL!!!" the cultists all said in unison.

Pt 3: The Beast Within

"Seriously, you guys need to stop! What you guys did was summon a monstrosity! It would have eaten you all, gathered enough strength and ran amuck across the world, eating other people and causing chaos. Don't be blinded by your beliefs! I was in your position before! So please, just stop!" she shouted out trying to reason with the cultist. It didn't matter what she said to the cultists nor did it matter how loudly she said it. These people were completely brainwashed and believed in the 'salvation' that this monster would have given them. Even after seeing some people in their flock getting crushed and devoured by this monster, they still fully believe and worship it like a god. Kaori grit her teeth tightly and balled her hands into a fist. "Stupid, fucking cults," she said quietly before walking towards the one known as the Great Beast.

Kaori focused her eyes on the girl that she had known from before named Kisana. She walked over to her to try to reason her out, at least, to see her eyes glossed over and a look of pure ecstasy written across her face. The face of rapture and those that want the end of days to arrive being elated to see what they wanted to come by. Kisana turned to look towards Kaori for a moment. "You don't get it, do you, Sister Kaori? Everyone in the Great Beast's flock were abandoned or turned away from society. Everyone here are outcasts that had been shunned by the greater population. Some of us were victims of the people we wanted to be around so bad, only for them to tell us to get out. We had nowhere else to turn, Sister Kaori. But the Great Beast brought us in with the promise to cleanse the world of it's evils. That evil being those who shunned us. So even if some of us will die, we know that the monster being summoned will cleanse the world of those who have done us wrong, those who have shunned us, those who have turned their backs on us," Kisana said, turning her eyes back towards the Great Beast.

"I'm sure you understand our plight, don't you, Sister Kaori?" Kisana asked before Kaori recoiled from the words spoken to her. It was true that she, at one point, felt abandoned and alone with nobody to grant her any kind of liberty. Everyone that she found peace with and felt like a human around eventually died or just went away. Mina died, Yume disappeared into the void, and she feared the same to happen to Yomi. She felt like a victim by the machinations of the shinobi system and that she felt like she was just a cog in the war machine. She felt that the system abandoned her and mistreated her plight, turning her into the culprit instead of the victim. While she still felt that way, even now, it was no reason to want to wipe out the rest of humanity. Kaori turned towards Kisana and balled her hands into a fist.

"Things get better! Trust me! Even when I was staring death in the face, I stared back and made things better!" Kaori shouted out as Kisana turned to look towards Kaori with a big, warm smile upon her face. "It must be nice being a shinobi in a shinobi world, hm?" Kisana responded which caught Kaori off-guard. She didn't think her facade was THAT obvious. "Don't worry, we all knew. It was part of the plan. Hell, a shinobi was actually required to make this happen. Why do you think that all we needed was you to just be present?" Kaori was asked, causing her to look confused at the whole thing before green energy seemed to be sapped from her, being injected into the dead body of the Great Beast.

"What's going on?" Kaori said as she shouted out in pain. "The Great Beast shall rise again!" Kisana shouted out as she lead a chant that the other cultists would follow. More chakra started to spill out of Kaori and into the Great Beast before just enough was taken, causing Kaori to collapse to her hands and knees before watching the Great Beast jerk to life with a deep purple aura around his body. The man floated up into the air for a moment and spoke with a booming voice.

"Welcome, children of my flock! We must thank Sister Kaori for her sacrifice. She unlocked the doors to paradise for us!" the man said as a hush fell over the cultists. "Behold! Brother's and Sisters! Behold the true power of the Great Beast! Behold, BEHEMOTH!" the man said as his form started to change into a massive monstrosity. The beast that sprouted out had 7 heads and 10 horns. The Great Beast seemed to be integrated into the beast, serving as one of the heads of the beast. Blood started to pour from the skies as the cultist's eyes went from pure adoration to one of horror.

"That isn't the Beast of the Land! What is that!" Kisana shouted out before panic started to envelope her. The rest of the cultists shouted out incoherently as the blood that was raining down started to drench them in the sticky fluid. The terrifying creature stood at 50 feet tall
and each of the heads bowed down to devour a group of the cultists. This caused even more panic, causing the cultists to flee to a safe distance.
It seemed that the creature that was actually summoned wasn't the creature they had bargained for.

Kaori stood up among the chaos and said to herself. "I don't have the power to do this by myself. I'm going to need your help, Mina," Kaori said out-loud only for Mina to respond, only to her.

"You know that if you do this, it'll put a great strain on your body right? It'll shorten your life-span because you aren't ready to use it properly."

"I don't care. What's going on now is more pressing. I can give up a few years if it means to save the lives of many more."

"Alright. Let's do this then."

"Yeah." Kaori said before pain started to rack her body before her form then changed as well to a creature standing on all 4 legs with more pronounced horns. Kaori let out a massive roar, gaining the attention of the atrocity that the Great Beast turned into. Some of the cultists turned to listen to the roar only to cheer in admiration.

"Sister Kaori turned into the Behemoth! She was the Beast this whole time!" one of the cultists shouted out before they turned around to get a glimpse of Kaori before retreating to a safe distance to watch the battle of the beasts.

Kaori and Mina's merge appeared to be the creature they sought out for. The Behemoth stood at about half-the-size of the monstrosity that the Great Beast turned into. Without a word, Kaori jumped into action, slashing her claws at the creature only for one of the heads to shout out in pain. Another one of the heads slapped Kaori away before 2 of the heads started to power up energy. Two heads, at a time, started to gather up energy leaving one head remaining to play defense. The heads then released their energy one-at-a-time sending out 3 separate Tailed Beast Bombs towards Kaori, causing Kaori to dodge the first two before getting blasted by the third. Upon getting slapped by the third, a massive explosion enveloped the battlefield,
throwing Kaori up into the air. The 7 headed (tailed) beast jumped up and started to attack Kaori with a flurry of attacks. Kaori blocked the majority of them only to get struck by the remainder, causing Kaori to slide across the ground afterward.

Kaori quickly got up and the fight continued between the two continued on with the two going back and forth as a stalemate. Kaori, the Behemoth,
huffed and puffed while the massive creature that she was fighting didn't seem at all winded. Kaori turned to look towards the heads holding horns in their head. "What if I tear off the horns?" Kaori asked as Mina gave her some audible confirmation. Kaori ran up towards the massive beast before jump up onto the beast and dug her fangs into the neck of the head with the single horn. She swung from the creature's throat and on top of it's head before biting the creature on the top of the head and bit the horn completely off of the creature's head. With a loud shriek the creature's head fell to the ground, withering away. Kaori spat out the horn, holding the horn in it's mouth before rushing over to another head and dug the horn straight into the head to incapacitate the creature's head and bit off the other, much smaller horn.

The creature's second head shriveled up and disappeared. Now that she knew what she had to do, she started to systematically take out the horns.
She took out another 2 heads before she was deflected away from the creature. Kaori started to grow exhausted from this extremely long fight.
Kaori wasn't expecting this battle to take this long. There was a gathering of energy in the 3 remaining heads, with the head bearing 3 horns in the middle of it, as if to be the propellant to throw out the energy blast. Kaori took several deep breaths to prepare herself. She expected another ball of energy, instead the creature shot out a massive beam.

Jumping out of the way of the beam, she turned to look back towards where the beam blasted, blasting a hole into the earth. It was then that Kaori had to jump into action as the beam started to strafe in her direction. She quickly ran along the ground as the beam's angle changed to smash Kaori into the ground. Even as Kaori climbed onto the creature, it kept (slowly) bringing the beam towards itself. This caused Kaori to quickly move behind the creature's head as it blasted it's own head off, destroying a horn in the process, utilizing it's recklessness to also take out the next horn leaving only the main head, the one with the Great Beast (the person's) head and hid behind it, waiting for it to stop the beam. After the head stopped, Kaori quickly bit the main head off before the creature's body went limp and fell to the ground.

Kaori spit out the head, letting the head of the Great Beast roll around before she passed out from exhaustion. She woke up several hours later to the light of the sun tickling her eyelids only to see the remaining cultists staring down at her. Those that remained numbered less than 20 as the others were either crushed, vaporized, or devoured. Among the group, Kisana poked in and hugged Kaori, who had returned to her human form. "You were right. What we wanted to happen was wrong. But we are now misplaced and don't have any guidance," she said with a bit of dread in her voice. Everyone gathered looked haggard and confused, not knowing where to go. Kaori sat up and nodded, looking towards the rest of the cultists.

"Then come to my Shrine. I will house you and give you all direction," Kaori said as all of the cultists cheered. "The women won't have to service anyone and everyone can live like people again. No more false promises either," Kaori said as the cultists smiled and carried her off back to the Cult Compound. As she was being carried, Kaori clicked on her headset. "Mission complete," she said as she heard a single 'Roger' over her headset. For now, the mission is complete. She will reap her rewards with whatever the cultists had in mind. Hopefully it has something to do with food.
