Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

"Stop trying to hit me and HIT ME!" Riyota yelled, the Brown haired Shinobi was fired up. He had been on a hot streak recently. Gaining all sorts of new abilities that had previously been locked behind walls of unmet potential. He had been feeling better than ever, and he wasn't stopping now. "I-I-I...I'm sorry Lord Riyota, it just feels wrong to be fighting you...I-I-I- I feel like I'm breaking a rule." Riyota had conscripted an assistant for the day and unfortunately it seemed that in all of the two minutes he had spent scouring the Miroku sect for someone worthy he had stumbled upon a nervous wreck of a Shinobi.

He sighed and stood straight, sticking his greatsword into the ground to sheathe it. "Atashi, it's ok. You're not going to hurt me, I need this, I need your help. I'm trying to figure out everything I can do and I can't do it without you." He explained, moving closer to his counterpart. "Now attack me! However you like, just go!" "Uh-Uh...Yes, My Lord!" Atashi whimpered as pure chakra began to form around his fist. "Here I come!" He shouted, charging forward.

Riyota let his guard down completely, he wanted the full impact of the strike, and feel it he did WHAM! Straight into his stomach. The attack had winded him, but already he could feel that pesky internal bleeding sort itself out. In addition to this however, he felt...stronger...more energised. As he flew upwards he saw a faint blue glow around his stomach suddenly fade and he felt more awake.

As soon as he landed he got back to his feet and without hesitating shouted "Blast me, do it!" Fearing he would get yelled at again, Atashi complied, yelling and letting loose a volley of chakra waves. Riyota felt the pain of each one, but with each one he felt more powerful, opening his eyes during the relentless attack he noticed a small part of the chakra being absorbed into the pores of his skin. When the attack ceased he laughed. "Well, that's one more thing my body can do!" He looked over to the other Shinobi, who lay exhausted and collapsed on the floor. Riyota walked over, crouched down and shook him gently. "You can go home now, thank you." He smiled.

"Huff...Huff" The shinobi panted heavily. Beads of sweat dripping down his forehead. Roughly forty training dummies lay destroyed in front of him, as well as significant parts of the terrain around himself. He wiped a hand across his brow to clear the sweat, he had spent the past hour going ballistic in order to tire himself out. A difficult task considering his exceptionally high levels of stamina.

However, tired out he was and as he sat on the warm sand in the dojo. He lifted up his shirt to examine the dark purple curse seal that stained his pale flesh. 'I wonder...' He pondered, using his sword to lift himself back to his feet. Closing his eyes and concentrating. Focusing his chakra to central points he allowed himself back into his mindspace. "Hey evil power! Long time no see!" He waved to the other version of himself he saw within the chambers of his soul. "Bite me! What do you want?!" The being spat in retort. "C'mon, just because you're the manifestation of unwanted demonic energies and my own low self-esteem, fears and trauma doesn't mean we can't be friends." Riyota taunted, "Besides, I need a favour. I wanna try something." He explained, "You need something? Oh fantastic, go to hell!" Ayotir growled. "Someone's grumpy, look I can do this anyway but I thought I'd ask nicely." He explained further, crossing his arms. Ayotir sighed "What is it?"

Riyota's eyes opened and he smirked to himself. The purple seal began to glow a bright orange and as it grew across his skin he felt his heart beating faster and faster. The aching of his muscles halted, he felt strength return to his arms, hands and legs. The blurriness in his eyes ceased and he felt as if he had just woken up all over again. "Fantastic!" He smiled, turning his attention to the reserved dummies.

"Right, so, I've gathered you all here because I'm told you are the best...the bravest...the strongest there is!...and also because you guys weren't really busy right now." Riyota explained to the shinobi and kunoichi lined up before him as he paced back and forth in front of him. All of which shared glances of confusion with one another. "Now I'm sure you're all wondering why I asked you to come train with me, it's simple. I'm trying to discover my limits. So, what I need all of you to do. Is try to kill me!" He informed the group, standing in front of them openly.

"That's honestly it, beat the stuffing out of me in every way possible until something happens." He reiterated. "Ok, so when I say go-..." He was interrupted by a swift kick in the gut by one of the kunoichi followed by a follow up punch to the face by one of the shinobi. "Ok, little early, but this is good I fee-..." He was cut off once again by a pincer kick attack by the two kunochi. He was then launched into the air by a shinobi before being punched back down into the ground by the other.

As he lay face first in the sand, his wounds and internal bleeding slowly healing up. He gripped a clump of it and let it filter through his hands. Surprisingly enough, and despite the pain he did feel stronger. He felt an incredible heat inside, like his blood was boiling. Quickly he rolled out of the way of a fireball directed at him by one of the shinobi, and even swifter still dodged the follow up strike by one of the kunoichi.

Over the next while as the battle progressed, the more injured he was getting the faster and stronger he was getting simultaneously. Almost as if some hidden power had awoken within him, but that's ridiculous.

"Ok guys, great session, thank you." He said through breaths. Slowly the group began to file out of the dojo. "Appreciate it!" He called to them.

"It's official...this is the worst idea I've ever had!" Riyota clutched tightly to the rock face, his body pressed hard against it. "Nonononononononononono..." He lay, shaking his head on top of the cliff. "I'm going to kill Haishi when I get back this is awful!" He moaned, eyes clamped shut, tears forming as the wind blew strong against him, making the boy fear it would send him sailing off the cliff face.

"I...I can't, I can't do this. This is insane!" He yelled, still refusing to open his eyes and gaze over the cliff face. The shinobi's entire body trembling. His throat was dry and he felt paralyzed.

[Flash back]

Riyota sat, munching on a piece of toasted bread. "Hey Haishi?" He spoke to the slightly older woman across the table. "I'm doing some training to test my limits and I'm running out of ideas, any suggestions?" He asked her, she looked up from her book with a disinterested glare. "Perhaps try facing your fears if you have any. That's what they talk about in all those silly motivational speeches." She spoke with a noticeable sigh.

[End Flashback]

"I hate everything..." He whimpered. "But I have...I have...I-I have to do it." He stammered, trying to will his body to move to no avail. "Damn it!" He cried, his face scrunched up in fear as he raised a fist and hit the rocky surface in anger. <B>Crack Maybe a bit too much anger. Riyota felt himself move, not of his own will but because the ground beneath him was beginning to shift.

His eyes shot wide open and suddenly the long distance below him no longer mattered as he had no wish to go plummeting down into it on a sheet of rock. He clambered and swiftly crawled back onto a safer part of the cliff. His heart racing. "Ok screw this, I'd rather face a horde of enemies than anything like this. This is horrible." He called to the teleportation ninja whom had brought him up here in the first place. Once safely back on the ground he lay down flat and hugged the floor. "Never again..." He sighed.

"Having second thoughts?" "N-no, it's just...so the machine will... Guaranteed, five blades a second on your money back! In theory..." The last word was slightly muffled by an awkward cough. "Wait, what do you mean in th-..." Before he could finish the question hundreds of sharp kunai knives fired towards the young shinobi. He followed the plan. Standing his ground he locked both his arms in a cross pattern as the knives snipped through his clothes and sliced through his flesh. Stabbing into some parts whilst merely glancing the rest.

Over and over the blades kept firing, and whilst the boy's healing was impressive it wasn't quite keeping to pace with the onslaught of knives he was being assaulted with. Five a second may have been a bit of an understatement. However the more he was cut the more Riyota noticed less blood was being drawn. The less it seemed to hurt and in some cases the blades were starting to pass by without piercing through his skin. As theorised his skin was hardening in response to the attacks and the constant regeneration.

After a few more second the machine was shut off. Riyota lowered his arms and began picking knives out of his flesh, letting it regrow. "I think your estimates were a tad off Guro, but the results are good." He smiled as parts of his face began to heal.

Riyota sat on the soft, hot sand of the dojo floor. His brow furrowed and creased as he tapped a hand and a foot on the ground, pondering potential training exercises, but he was stumped. He was discovering all these new things his body was capable of, but clearly his mind had reached its peak. He wasn't sure in what new way to exert himself to break his newly established limits.

Sighing, he looked to his blade, the heavy black and white sword lay leaning against a nearby wall. The shinobi thought back to when he had first made the sword, back when he was fourteen. The blacksmith had been a large beast of a man, but kind. He had been a true friend to Riyota in that time, allowing the boy food and board in exchange for work. Riyota had learned a lot about forging weapons in that time, and now he looked to the blade and wondered if he could make something better.

Standing up and striding towards it he grabbed it by the handle and lifted. Sure, it was a lot harder to hold with only one arm, but Riyota had adapted, he always did. Giving a few test swings with it, out of boredom more than anything. He shrugged and went to set it down, but something made him pause, made him hesitate. He grasped the handle again and held the blade over his shoulder, walking to a nearby wall.

Readying himself he took a step back and breathed in deeply. With a yell he let loose a cleave with the mighty weapon. Causing the wall between his room and the room over to collapse. "Oh...s-sorry..." He quickly stammered and apology and bolted away before the very confused looking Kunoichi in the room over could question him further.
