The next phase of his training is that he wanted to get stronger by controlling his chakra better, learning how to shift his aura from one end of his body to the other. To avoid any distractions such as other students, other people in general; he decided that the best place to train was to be out in the woods. He ventured through the woods as the deaf leaves would be crushed underneath his feet, crows and sore over the grey sky as the boy who had nothing but darkness in his heart moved over to a lake which had been in the heart of the woods. The water was still, calm even as the crows cawed seemingly at Maru to greet him at his new training grounds.
“Hmph this is a good of a place as any.” Maru said seemingly brushing the beauty of the lake off. The young shinobi scoffed, sitting down near the lake with his legs crossed and his hands together to make the tiger hand sign. Then he closed his eyes, he cleared his mind letting himself relax, breathing in…. Then back out..
Maru kept his breathing at a steady pace, then he began to imagine himself sitting right where he was. Maru was in a calm place, imagining the sun shining it's bright light upon him. The grass was at a perfect green, the crows that had been buzzing overhead disappeared into beautiful singing doves soaring over the sky without a care in the world. The only thing that had been dark in this world that he imagine was the lake. The lake looked as black as a tar pit, threatening to swallow anyone whole in its pitch blackness. The young shinobi now pictured arms coming out of that lake, reaching out to him slowly while he just sat there and watched the inky black arms get closer to him. The arms picked Dokuso up as a if the darkness had taken the boy as its new child, pulling him in the dark waters before him. Although most would struggle within these arms, Maru didn't move at all. He was rejecting the good in this world, accepting the darkness without even a fight. He allowed himself to go down further and further into inky black darkness, descending downward into the unknown. The dark path in which he would never return from….
Suddenly his eyes opened, he was surrounded in a sinister red chakra that suddenly disappeared upon opening his eyes. He brought his hand up to his head to soothe the pain after attempting to fully awaken his dark side but he only scratched the surface of what he held within him. His vision of the world had a even darker tint to it, his eyes glowing a bright red like hellfire before returning back to its normal color. “Well then…” the boy fell back and closed his eyes. “Guess we'll try some other time…” exhausted he fell asleep, pushing his inexperienced body to the limit sure did drain him..
