“Izanagi,” the beanpole replied before turning to leave. Kisho was expecting more from the unusually large boy. Perhaps an epithet, or an official title. Izanagi the Giant. Prince of the Giants, Izanagi. Kisho smiled as he continued half-heartedly punching the fallen boulder.
Meanwhile, Hoshi continued to show his determination and stubbornness. He relentlessly attacked the indestructible boulder, appearing to show his entire moveset. He knew quite a few tricks. Kisho nodded, once again noting that both Hoshi and Izanagi would be great shinobi. He smiled after Hoshi congratulated him. As for himself, he would need to learn more techniques, specifically improving his chakra control. That would have been extremely helpful for the lesson.
Suddenly Hoshi was behind Izanagi, looking nothing like his energetic self; he actually looked anxious. A large tiger amongst the boulders was the cause of his dismay. Instinctively, Kisho’s body tensed as it went through the flight or fight responses. Though he had seen dozens of animals outside the gates, he never underestimated them. They were unpredictable and powerful and deserved respect.
He watched as the beast made its way towards Yuii, eventually sitting next to her. A tongue slipped from its mouth and enticingly roamed its lips before disappearing behind a row of teeth again. ‘This must be next stage of her torture regime,' Kisho thought. Obviously it was familiar with Yuii since it responded when it’s name was said—
Kisho's eyes widened. The beast could speak! How wonderful! He immediately wanted one. Imagine hunting with a tiger instead of a dog! His father head would explode. Before he could bombard Yuii with questions she ended the lesson, riding away on the tiger's back.
‘She's so cool,' Kisho remarked to himself, completely disregarding her previous transgressions. He ran home, yelling a quick “Bye” as he left. He had to figure out how to get a talking tiger.
