Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Hello NCers! Its MINAMO-. . . Nokugara Koroki here with your exciting new updates fresh from the Admin and Development teams!

Firstly, in the eve of some extensive Dev team work, especially surrounding abilities. . . It was keen that we forged new ideas for what to do to make the branches even more exclusive for rp as well as the coming battle system! Here is what the team came up with! Added: All players may change their branch ability free now to the one of their choice!

Branch Rules and Jutsu said:
Important:</COLOR><i></i> All users are able to use up to C-Rank Medical and/or Anbu Jutsu without needing to be in a particular branch. Branch Abilities cannot be equipped unless the user is part of that Branch.

On Ninpocho Chronicles a player can be part of one of three branches:
  • Anbu: Upon reaching C-Rank a Main Branch they may obtain one Shinobi 101 (Tai/Nin/Gen) added, upon becoming an Anbu or Anbu in training (Being at least C-Rank), a user is allowed access to ANBU jutsu and may equip 1 ANBU Branch Ability in their Ability Slots for free.
  • Medical: Upon reaching C-Rank a Main Branch they may obtain one Shinobi 101 (Tai/Nin/Gen) added, upon becoming an Medical Nin or Medic in training (Being at least C-Rank), a user is allowed access to Medical jutsu and may equip 1 Medical Branch Ability in their ability Slots for free.
  • Main Branch: Upon reaching C-Rank a Main Branch they may obtain one Shinobi 101 (Tai/Nin/Gen) added, they may equip 1 Main Branch Ability in their Ability Slots for free.
  • Note: Shinobi 101 Abilities do not have to be rolplayed for (I.E. Shinobi 101 Ninjutsu is an automatic Advanced element for free, meaning no rp is required)

Rules:<i></i>
  • A player may not rebirth/create a new character having prior background to multiple branches to gain the abilities of each individual branch. They will start with the current branch they had rebirthed into.
  • A Player may have 1 free Branch Ability for whatever their current branch is, and may retain previous branch abilities at the cost of ability slots. The user may only retain a single ability for any Branch they are no longer part of.
  • All players may learn ANBU and Medical jutsu up to C rank without being in that branch. The user retains access to any Anbu or Medical Jutsu they had mastered prior to switching branches.
  • If the user is switching from Main Branch into another branch, their free Affinity will take up a slot like normal.
  • If a player goes Missing, they may continue to learn from the branch they were a part of; however a Missing Nin may also switch branches through a council reviewed RP explaining the transition and upon approval noted in the players ability dojo.
    • <COLOR color="red">Important: Players may only switch branches once every 60 days.

Main/Anbu/Medic
Main Branch:
Instructor
Sensei dedicated to their students and genin, these nin are able to bring out the best in their pupils.

Information:
Prerequisites: C Rank

Effect:
- When in battle with any player whom they taught a class to, their former student gains +1 secondaries from their presence.
- Teaching a [Class] will not fill up one of the user's 4 RP slots. The user is still limited to normal Class Rules, however upon completion of a class, any Students taught by someone with this ability gain a single E-Rank Jutsu of their choice, free.

Notes:
- The player the user has taught must have passed the class from the user.
- The bonus E-Rank Jutsu learned is in addition to other bonuses for taking a class.
- A player receiving the +1 secondaries may only receive that bonus from one Player in the battle at a time.

Journeyman
Living for adventure and the knowledge of the world from their journies these Nin excel in completing missions.

Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank

Effect:
- Jutsu cost -5% Chakra.
- Being in a [Mission] does not take up an Rp slot. The user is still limited to normal Mission rules.

Squadron
Teamwork transcends distances, allowing a squad member to assist his team mates with everything he has.

Information:
Prerequisites: C Rank

Effect:
- When a player with this ability is in combat, all members of the squad are considered aware of the battle and do not require being "Called in". Entering battle still follows all other normal rules of entry, however.
- When a player with this ability enters combat this player receives +.5 secondaries for each squad member up to +2 for 2 rounds.

Note:
- Up to 3 players may be linked to each other in this way, and they must all be linked to each other, effectively making them a squad.
- The players who are linked in this manner must be named in each of their Dojo's and they must all have this ability.

ANBU:
Sentinel
Battle hardened and watchful over entry points and prisoners, these Anbu bear a special armor that is standard issue for any ANBU that earns the title of Sentinel.

Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank

Effect:
- +5% Damage Reduction from all non-illusionary sources and +1 item slot to place stackable items.
- The user gains +45 Minutes to catch any timed topic within their own Village.

Hunter
ANBU trained in the art of tracking and capture tactics have developed special skills at being able to channel intensity into their duties.

Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank

Effect:
- If the user enters a topic with a Missing Nin from their village, they be considered automatically in stealth mode. This only applies if the user is aware of a character being a Missing Nin.
- When beginning/joining a battle with a Missing Nin from their village, the user receives a stealth check to determine whether they start the battle in Stealth Mode or not.

Onyx Guard
ANBU trained in the art of shielding and defensive tactics have developed methods to allow those under their protection escape a conflict at the sacrifice of their own welfare.

Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank

Effect:
- When in a topic with an ally, the user may "Block" someone who attempts to prevent their ally from leaving a topic. In doing so, the ally may continue to leave normally as if not interrupted, but the user must remain behind. The user is only able to "Block" a single person at a time.
- When in battle with an ally, by paying 1 ap, the user may choose to take the full damage of an attack that would have hit their ally once per ally, per round.

Notes:
- When taking an attack for an ally, the user only takes the damage. The attack is still rolled normally but if the ally would take damage, the user may choose to take it instead. If the ally wouldn't have been hit initially the user does not take the attack.

Medical:
Paramedic
Medical shinobi who have studied long and hard on various methods for emergency healing techniques. They have gained skills above the norm for medical shinobi and it shows in their ability to use healing techniques in a quick pulse like manner.

Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank

Effect:
- The user requires -1 round to enter a battle that contains someone from their village below 50% Max Hp. The user must still be called as usual, however.
- Once per round, the user may pay an additional +30% of the chakra cost to increase the HP healed with a medical jutsu by 1.5x. This may only be used on an ally below 50% Max Hp.

Notes:
- The first effect takes effect at any time when the player is entering the thread (Eg. Mednin is 1 round into entering the thread and in the second round a member of their village drops to below 50% of their Max Hp, the Mednin will join 1 round early).
- The second effect may not be used on jutsu that are being maintained or used offensively.

Physician
Medical shinobi who have studied long and hard on various methods for surgical healing techniques. They have gained skills and knowledge of medicines above the norm for medical shinobi and it shows in their ability diagnose and aid in the recovery of nin nearly killed.

Information:
Prerequisites: D-Rank

Effect:
- When the user assists someone in recovering from a Fatality, their patient recovers +2 Secondaries instead of +1, and Medical Threads don't take up a roleplay slot when acting in the mednin role.
- The user may carry 1 additional stack of Soldier Pills, Blood Pills, Health Pills, Energy Drinks, and Splints.

Notes:
- The second effect allows the user to carry 1 extra item. If the limit is 3 per stack, then this ability allows them to carry 4 per stack of the mentioned items.

Combat Medic
Medical shinobi who are adept at healing but are also no slouch when it comes to battle prowess. They have trained their reflexes to combine the best of both worlds.

Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank

Effect:
- If the user is in the same battle as a person who has been killed, they may heal the player back to KO status at the end of the battle.
- Once per round, the user may use a Medical jutsu up to B rank reflexively.

Notes:
- The second effect may not be used in conjunction with a Medical jutsu that is being used offensively.
- The user is unable to save someone if they themselves are unconscious (KO'd) in that battle.
- The Saved target is considered under Fatality - Live rules.

  • Extra Independent NPC (50 points)
    • Grants a player an extra iNPC to be used as they wish, (follows regular NPC rules) [Can be bought twice]
  • Extra Slot Card (50 Points)
    • Grants the user 1 extra RP slot. (Note: This does not override Mission nor Contract finding.) [Can be bought once]
  • Power Level Bank (?? Points)
    • Whenever a player is rebirthing, has died, suicided, etc. After points are allocated their base pool becomes 0 unless there are points left over. [Noncapped players trade 2 points for every 1 Power level, Capped players trade 1 Shop point to gain 2 Power level.]
  • Swap Card (75 Points)
    • Grants the user the ability to do a free Jutsu Swap (for 35 Jutsu max at a time.), or BL/CA swap, or Kinjutsu Swap (for every item in the kinjutsu swapped, they may switch mastery of a jutsu they own for the new Kinjutsu acquired. However, they must be bought and sold at normal rates.) (1 time use for Kinjutsu.)
  • Re-Birth Card (125 Points)
    • Grants the user the ability to perform 1 free retire/re-birth.
  • Abilities Card (75 Points)
    • Grants the user 1 additional Ability Slot. This card may only be used once by a single player. (1 Time Use)
  • Class Point Card (75 Points)
    • Grants the user 2 additional Class Points. This card may only be used once by a single player. (1 Time Use)

Important: S-Rank Self-Modded Solo Missions do not require the approval of a Kage/Sennin for S-Rank.
Important: Self-Modded Solo Missions above B-Rank are not considered any higher than a B-Rank mission ICly.
Important: Self-modded missions may be done twice in a week, however the second mission done yields half normal rewards.
  • What is a Self-Modded Solo Mission and how do I apply for one?
    • A Solo Mission is a mission type done alone. These are RPs that can be done in a single post or several which ultimately have to be approved by your Village Council before and after completion. These missions should be requested in your Village Request Board, giving a brief overview of what the Mission will entail. These missions Do Not require a Mission Moderator.
  • How many Self-Modded Solo Missions can I do in a month?
    • A user is allowed to perform a Self-Modded Solo Mission twice a week. Once at normal rewards once at half.
  • What Rank of Self-Modded Solo Missions can I perform?
    • A user may only perform a Self-Modded Solo Missions of their current OOC Rank or lower.
      • Example: Joe Ninja is of the C-Rank oocly, Joe Ninja may perform E-Rank through C-Rank Self-Modded Solo Missions.
  • What are the rewards for Solo Missions?
    • E-Rank (Academy Student): 1,500 Yen
    • D-Rank: 2,000 Yen
    • C-Rank: 2,500 Yen
    • B-Rank: 3,000 Yen
    • A-Rank: 3,500 Yen
    • S-Rank: 4,500 Yen
  • What is the required word count for each?
    • E-Rank: 250 Words
    • D-Rank: 300 Words
