Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

What a weird name..."Birunai". And he was some sort of...alchemist? Inventor? Whatever, some science guy. Apparently, this Birunai the Science Guy had ruffled one too many feathers with his science-making, and one of his benefactors had used one of his inventions in a fairly disastrous way. According to Onamuji's findings, this Birunai the Science Guy had been active for about twenty years, and while he was fairly well-known for the first five, the rest was spent in relative peace and quiet, out of the public eye and more devoted to his own affairs.

Recently, however, Birunai had been working with various criminal groups in Sunagakure - giving them new weapons and inventions created through his alchemy that granted the various gangs and organizations somewhat of a push against their rivals. Initially, this was largely ignore, due to the fact that the criminal activity in the slums was left alone as long as it stayed in the slums. A boundary was broken, however, when a chemical explosion rocked parts of the Grand Palais. Onamuji received a call not long after to track and apprehend Birunai, destroying his lab in the process to ensure the work ended there.

It was easy enough to find him. The clever Muji simply tracked high sales of various elements and compounds from local manufacturers. When someone buys a heavy quantity of saltpeter, it's usually not for household use...

The lab itself was dim and small...smaller than the sage expected, given the reports of his production and ability. Though not very well versed in technology, he imagined that a large factory of some sort would be needed to produce machines or weapons. This was more like a large...shack. And given that there didn't seem to be any guards around, Muji didn't waste too much time in making his entrance. There were no noticeable chakra signatures around save for one in the building, and if there were any bodies around, they were either dead or not strong enough to pose a threat.

With a knock, the auburn-haired shinobi waited at the door. Some scurrying was heard, and a couple loud bangs of metal hitting the ground. After a moment, a tall, slender man opened the door. The science man looked...odd. A colorful scarf was tied around his neck, and he wore a long labcoat. Clear safety goggles were still snug around his head.

"Can...can I help you?" he asked plainly.

"Birunai," Muji spoke, offering a polite bow, "I am Onamuji. A pleasure to make your acquaintance. Might I come in for a moment?"

Looking to the ground, Birunai stammered a bit before replying, "I, I, uh...I don't think that's a good idea. I've got a lot of work to do, and most of it is in an experimental stage. It's a mess in there."

Gently pushing the door open, the purple-eyed Rikudo Sennin moved Birunai aside and entered anyway. He took a long look around at the various workbenches and tables filled with labeled experiments. One said something about oxygen and carbon, one had some nonsense about magma and geothermal energy, and another one seemed to a bottle with...a liquid and some powders next to it? Odd.

"Birunai, you're under arrest for the manufacture of illegal arms, the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction, and acting as an accessory to murder. I expect you to come peacefully," the sage announced, still gazing around as if this was all just a formality.

This seemed to send the tall, lanky man into a panic as he stammered some more and backed away.

"I would, but, uh...but that's not up to me, you see," he explained, "I'm not the entrepeneur you think I am, I'm afraid. I'm the slave of a, uh, a PBS...Public Bruising System, so to speak. A group that like to publicly bruise people systematically, and bruise the public system. They hurt people, and they're not fond of the village goverment."

Raising an eyebrow, Muji looked the man over with concern. What the hell was he talking about? PBS? That didn't make any sense.

Just then, the goofy-looking Birunai ducked quickly, causing Muji to glance over his shoulder and see a vial of some liquid flying his way. He managed to duck just in time, watching as the vial crashed against the wall and began to eat away at the stone surface.

"When you mix hydrogen and chlor-" the science guy began to explain, but a swift kick from another bruiser shut him up as the man emerged from the shadows and Birunai muttered, "Hydrochloric acid..."

Muji frowned. This acid was meant for him, and he wasn't fond of the idea of having his face melted off. With a flash of handseals, he launched a lightning bolt from each of his hands, crackling and white as they raced toward the chests of the two men who had revealed themselves as the science guy's handlers. The men seized up and shook a bit before dropped to the ground. Gangsters didn't really add up to a shinobi. It was a pointless gesture on their part.

Extending a hand, Muji asked, "So...would you prefer to come with me, or do you think your bruisers are still what you need to be worried about?"

Speechless, Birunai the Science Guy took the young sage's hand. He had no choice. Perhaps, given the circumstances of his forced service to the organization, he might be shown some leniency. Regardless, it was clear that his life was forfeit if he stayed.

As the pair walked away from the building, Muji stopped and turned around, performing another set of handseals before unleashing a hellstorm on the building and turning away to continue their journey toward the village's infamous prison system. The mission was complete, more or less. Birunai the Science Guy was in custody, and his lab was soon to be a smoldering scar in the earth thanks to Muji's intense flames.
