Forced Entry Book of Genesis - The Devils Visit

Devils came down to Konoha to unleash Akuuma’s plot. It was quiet genius if Mizu had compliments to give then perhaps he of all people would receive one. No, the cool headed chimera instead played her part in his game if only to see his true intentions unfold. A recruitment campaign seemed simple enough for both their cause but Mizu had something not quite as simple in mind. That’s why the two devils stood before Konoha’s gates. Any old joe would not due for recruitment. They needed warriors but that was only half the truth of their visit. A sinister grin swept across Xaiyu’s lips. It was short lived however as Mizu squeezed her tail causing her to jump in furry. “What the hell!?” Mizu would smile before softly uttering, “Stick to the plan Xaiyu. We’ll catch more flies with honey or however that saying goes.” A glare was issued but the two began to make their move…

Mizu would handle the entry with grace. The gate guard who approached her would simply preform his duty or at least try. He would ask the pair for their passport only to be met with Xaiyu’s over zealous and eager bloodlust. Xaiyu attempted to draw her blade but was quickly stopped by Mizu. “No Xaiyu, there can be no casualties…” the guard became startled as he reached within his utility pouch. “Forgive my friend. She has a hard time doing anything without violence. But at times her way can be inefficient.” Suddenly the guard would start to see feathers falling slowly like snow. He’d feel a sense of calm as his eyes drew heavy. In fact everyone within the immediate area would soon see these same peaceful feathers falling as they succumb to drowsiness. Unfortunately, the guards were unprepared for a professional genjutsu shinobi like Mizu. She’d pull out a fire stick and light it before inhaling deeply. A cloud of puffy white smoke escaping her lips, “My way, is more efficient than hers.” Suddenly everyone around would slip to their knees fast asleep. Xaiyu would grunt as she let down her guard, “Tch, your no fun…” Mizu wouldn’t respond. She’d simply take more puffs before heading into the village. “We have work to do.”

Wiping his eyes, the boy yawned. He picked himself up off the ground, slowly wiping the grass from his front. As his eyes adjusted to the scene, he wondered where he was. "What's going on?" He asked as his memory came back to his being. Remembering he was on gate duty, his cheeks flushed as he now noticed he'd fallen asleep. With his vision clear, he began to look around, but he was astounded at what he saw. A few of the guards on duty were on the ground fast asleep. There was one near the entrance of the gates, also sound asleep. Only a few guards had managed to pick themselves up, and began kicking at a few of the others that lay on the ground. "Five more minutes mom." One began as he rolled over and continued on snoring. In other cases, this probably would have given Toshi the giggles, but since he knew they were on duty, this was not the time for a comedy at all. He became concerned, wondering if the group had allowed anyone in. On top of that, if one of the other Konoha Nin or villagers spotted this scene, they'd surely be in trouble.

The talks between the on duty Captain and a few ANBU began to give the boy some concern. It wasn't until one of the ANBU exclaimed, "WHAT!?!?!" loudly, that others began to eye the conversation. Toshi shook his head, he knew no good would come from this. He looked towards the village, almost knowing trouble was afoot. They'd have to send word to the higher ups of what happened at the gates. They didn't have any clues, other than they all fell asleep at the same time while on duty. "Oi!" Toshi took a palm to his forehead as he thought of what he'd say to Nao. 'What a believable story.' The sarcasm of the situation washed over in his head as he continued to listen to the ANBU converse.
