Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It didn’t make much sense to Tatsuo that they would send a Leaf ninja on border patrol, but he wasn’t going to complain they were sending him West, close to the Leaf border. Honestly it’d take everything he had to not skip out on the mission and just head home, but he’d already faced that emotion once and he didn’t. He’d made his decision to stay here until their mission was completed. He just recently became a Genin, he wasn’t looking to die by the blade of some Anbu if he could help it. Even if it'd mean he’d escape this barren wasteland.

At least he got to take the train alone this time, there were a few other cloud ninja on the train being sent to a variety of assignments themselves but they had no interest in the young leaf shinobi the same he didn’t care for them too much. He felt like the people here were just a bit colder, maybe they disliked foreigners, but who knew. He helped himself to the many commodities that a ninja travelling was awarded, there was plenty of food and places to rest. Propping himself on a nice comfortable couch with a bowl of fruit he spent the next few hours fighting off the urge to drift off as he munched happily on his fruit. Before he knew it his train had arrived on location, a small border town of the Lightning country. He was supposed to spend the day assisting vetting anyone who tries to enter the country through that particular outpost.

For Tatsuo, this was the worst boredom one could experience. Perceived pointless bureaucracy was the antithesis of this carefree boy. However every one on guard was uptight and efficient. Tatsuo was tasked with stamping their cards for allowed entry. Tatsuo spent a very long time looking at every facet of the passport before allowing entry. Which brought on quite a annoyance with those looking to enter the country quick. Merchants with degrading goods and the likes, however Tatsuo was going to take his time. He would look at the passport for a good moment, his eyes running over little bit of it, before stamping it with the go ahead. He never actually denied anyone, but he did take his sweet time doing so. By the time it was noon, Tatsuo had done at twenty different passports, all taking much longer than it should. The Jounin on site decided to move Tatsuo to something more akin with his skills. He was to go around marking breaks in the walls, each subsection was marked with a different code, A5, C12, so on and so on and he was to mark on a spreadsheet each that was broken.

The wall was made of wood and Tatsuo thought he could easily repair it if he were to try, but he honestly was feeling lazy enough, all this paperwork was starting to give him a killer headache. By the time he made it halfway through the wall, he had noticed a dozen or so holes. Most the size of his fist, but a couple that he could probably squeeze through if he tried. By the time he ended, he had lost track of all the marks he had taken and he didn’t feel like counting it either.

Returning to the small outpost in which he was supposed to deliver the report too, he found the Jounin awaiting him, apparently Tatsuo had been late to which he had gotten a stern talking to and a few offhand comments and chuckles by surrounding Cloud Chuunin, they remarked that of course he was a leaf, to do all this so slowly. Which then flustered Tatsuo but even knew when he was outnumbered, he’d just have to take the abuse then head home. Either way, he was getting paid for barely doing anything. He couldn’t complain too much. He began to wonder when he’d finally get some decent missions. Ya know ones where you’d fight bad guys and the likes. Keeping to himself as he waited for his shift end, he was able to take the last train back to Kumogakure. In which he quickly headed back to his inn, attempting to sleep off another day. He had little interest of exploring this city much, he just wanted to go home.
