Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Standing near a dirty wall in the academy gymnasium; several feet above his position was a long row of rectangular windows that beamed in the sunlight that casted down near the center of the whole room; it was late in the afternoon he figured. Garbed in his usual attire, minus the coat for purposes to avoid dirtying it more, and it would only get in the way. After all, today he's managed to break down a number of early techniques to academy students.
Although no master, he had observed a few of the later progressed Students and witnessed two particularly useful, or at least; in perception of a child it was impressive. They called them 'Body Switch' and 'Transformation' simple in the eyes of the world, but useful to one that deceived and tricked people to acquire enough funds to go to school, ironic he figured.

After sometime, the scattered kids that were in the gym along with him. None of which he recognized being in any of his classes- Had all left, leaving him in the faintly lit room; snowflakes of dust falling from the ceiling from all the disturbance only moments before. A settling sight for some time; it helped relax his mind and body. Fingers, legs and biceps had loosened; his face took on a relaxed expression while observing the simple display afore him for some moments. In the back of his mind, he wasn't concerned about 'being' 'anywhere'; his classes were finished, he had no home and nothing to work on except this. Even that, he wasn't sure would produce much more than simple verification that he knew the techniques; not necessarily that he'd have mastered them.

"Well.. Mays well get started." the young Karu muttered quietly, the room capturing and spreading his words like a disease across the whole gymnasium.
In the split of a moment, dust lifted and fluttered in a spiral around Karu; from his forced movements and the slow, weak but prominent channeling of chakra that surrounded the boy. He had started namely with the easier of the two techniques he watched for countless hours being mulled over, trailed and failed by other people. Taking example of those failures; he spent equal amounts of time trying to weed out 'why' and how to improve himself before he'd had even started. Due to this, it forced him into a mental state of exhaustion; by the time he had originally accomplished it, he was a poor example of a kid. But he did it without a teacher- Something, he felt quite proud over... Even with everything aching.
Now he stood there, watching the emptiness of the gym; an image of a person flowed into his imagination. It was a girl he saw not terribly long ago; a grumpy, brooding and annoyance from what he could decipher. But it was as good of a practice as any other. Besides, size wise they were fairly similar. The only main difference is genders; and some minor specifics. Like making sure the longer hair was flowing accurately; the varied clothes he hadn't had plenty of time to study were able to bend and mold like normal clothing would. What he found was the hardest part- Is mastering that scowl. He didn't, but to him; it didn't matter. No one was there to criticize him on such. While he sifted through the necessary component seals (Dog → Boar → Ram) he held the final; channeling the very core component chakra through his body; from his core and to each pore- Attributing the technique to its purpose, to mask and that needed to cover everything. Clothing, footwear, hair you name it. After a passing moment a brief flicker in his image distorted and warped into the image that passed through his mind. It was precisely what he wanted, the problem was of course maintaining the focus to perhaps combat, or interact while controlling the chakra to act naturally.
To do this, the young boy- girl, had started strolling around the gym. Hopping, rolling and cart-wheeling and all the while trying to observe himself through the scattered reflections and of course, what he himself could see. It wasn't a perfect method, but it 'was' a method.

This nonsensical training continued for sometime, it wasn't until he was ultimately bored of being someone else and controlling hundreds of minor details that he let it falter and scribble back into his natural state. The night was approaching, he would be ushered out of the building as ritual and he would wander the streets for a place to sleep until the next day. To be prepared and not to raise suspicion he would need to gather his goods and be ready to depart. About half-way across the gym laid his coat, next to an assortment of balls, bats and sport gear. This particular technique was never terribly trying for him bringing his hands up, he held them stationary while he mulled over the seals in his head- It was of course, his current biggest downfall; it was like learning a new language. Each seal represented various chakra pathways that would open in the body depending on of course, the seal- But also in what -order- they were executed. This lead to some poor discoveries in the past and in himself, a matter of learning. Obstacles to overcome- Even if they hurt.
Never the less he had kept his moment and processed the seals and weaved them with some inherently poor skill from his lack of experience. Namely (Tiger → Boar → Ox → Dog → Snake) while focusing his attention onto a nearby volleyball by his coat. A wave of chakra coated over his body, stretching outwards and latching to the located object; in a snap effort a cloud of smoke plumed around his body in a 'pop' and he rushed forwards. Whipping the volleyball to his former location and he, in a burst of speed to where it was.
Upon reaching the destination, he'd have skidded in a screech; sandal to wood. While in this 'epic' motion, he'd have dipped his body low to catch his coat. Swing it around his form while slipping arms into the sleeves and ended by turning around to see the product of his work.

"What in the world are you doing Karu...?" sounded a voice of the gym teacher. Holding the volleyball he more 'whipped' than placed. The realization that he messed up a bit casted over his face. Rather than responding, he lifted his hand and scratched the back of his head and smiled. Wandering over to the teacher and exchanged a few silent words of apology and was ushered out as expected.

"Good thing he didn't see the technique at least.."

It had been some significant time in his short life since he found himself near the Academy- While not directly there, he had a clear overlook of the facility from where he stood. Even if he were eager to return for purposes to sharpen his talents. He was far too -- Abnormal to do so, the ooze and viscous liquids that existed with him since the incident left his appearances less than desirable, let alone even publicly acceptable. His eyes were drawl and drained, the colors of his whites turned into a sickly green while the iris squeezed out the life of his blue to a putrid yellow. He screamed sickness, yet even in his agony, pain and suffering in a mental and occasionally physically. He felt otherwise fine, any wound healed fast- any sickness was overwhelmed with his systems astronomical recovery. All that was left from his former child-state was his clothes, his body had grown only slightly- Looking more fitting to the original owners of the... Indefinitely borrowed garbs. And despite all the hardships and tattered look of the lab-coat, he kept it on and wielded it with a sense of overcoming his loss.

While the reflection of his not-so-long ago past dwindled in its sentiment, he stood there realizing that since his progression into the world of a Genin, he hadn't practiced a huge amount- The minimums that got him by, he thought it would be enough. But when he fought the wyrms and changed his biological form, he felt compelled to improve himself; not for some sense of pride, appearing impressive or otherwise outward- Hells he didn't even care if it were to protect others. No it was purely and wholly selfish he needed to survive ultimately in order to afford a life he can be comfortable in- but it dawned the question as he watched the high-sun, bustling village and he himself being a speck of sand in a desert. "Can I be happy like this?... I mean, I am perpetually at unease. Healthy is a twisted term, sickness breeds my growth. What would happy be now..?" A valid question, one he couldn't answer entirely at that moment. But it would remain in the back of his mind for sometime he imagined. It was an itchy sensation that stuck too, he needed to rid his mind of the burden of such adult questions. So he did what any self-deserving shinobi would do, blow stuff up.

Drawing on the inner-reserves of his chakra, which still existed in relatively the same place- Despite the biological mayhem that scrambled his internals to fit more according to it's standard. The fluctuation felt homely, stirring through his body while maneuvering through the intricacies of the hand-seals of a fairly staple fire jutsu. While difficult for the youth that he was, it was otherwise a fairly standard for any reliable reserves of ninja. Upon finalizing the sealing, he knelt down on his left knee- the goo expanding in a burrow near the touch. Ultimately it prevented a perfect contact, but held him there regardless- situating him to be capable of implanting both palms into the earth. Looking upwards from his position; the nearby earth begun to bubble and burn vividly- only to erupt into a destructive scene of fire and earth. He had an idea of how to create a molten state, but the last time he managed to complete even a semblance of the true form- He found himself awake later that day--night. He was ill-fit to do it properly, but was on the right track he figured. The illumination of his nearby fire seemingly caught the attention of an academy instructor- promptly followed by a "Hey you! You can't be performing jutsu like that here! Come here this instant!".
Karu had initially figured the Academy Instructor thought he was another student of the academy- While not far off. It was no longer true, his eyes studied the form until it started making his way towards himself. It wasn't on the top of his bucket list to get in trouble so soon after becoming Genin- So he begun to weave a similar, but slightly varianted elemental technique for Earth. Specifically the Inner Reflection Lure, one of his staples and favorites. Burrowing himself into the Earth- something he wouldn't look back to is to see if he was being followed. Instead, he promptly left the scene. Satisfied with his results.
