Bullies? Now that sounded ironic, he had just experienced being bullied himself, but things changed when he woke up that day. For a moment, he thought that it was the elder lady from yesterday again, and his father had begun being aware of Honnou’s duties as a shinobi now as he kept waking up the child whenever the higher-ups had sent him a specific mission. This time, a little boy had requested this from Cronopolis, the very gloomy part of Kumogakure. Something gave Honnou the chills when he thought of going there again, especially the memories of those meanies who kept making fun of his size and pushed around with him as if he was nothing to them. However… if the same guys dared harass someone else, then he wouldn’t show any mercy.
That was also why he was so fired up when he readied his gear and went out. Bullying him was one thing, but a young kid? Then again, he was young too, but that wasn’t the point! He had to make sure that people wouldn’t turn out to be mean and selfish around the youth, because that would just leave bad, bad examples… that was what his father used to tell him. Although, he didn’t notice it, but dashing over to the meeting point, Honnou had passed by quite a few familiar faces - that was, until he actually made it to the location. It was just outside of Cronopolis where he had to meet his client, and waiting for roughly five minutes, he spotted a figure that made it over to his position. It was a way smaller figure than even his own, and Honnou wasn’t exactly any tall boy. This guy was, at max, 4 feet tall. Who would get the idea to annoy such a little boy?
“Uhm… are you the genin?” the boy asked Honnou, in which the Hyuuga nodded slowly. Was he, by any chance, making a name for himself already? If that really was the case, then why ‘the Genin’? Yes, he identified his rank as a Genin when it came to the shinobi system, but it wasn’t in any way a very fancy title. At least, he could’ve been known as ‘The Hyuuga Genin’ or something like that, because when people heard the name ‘Genin’, then a large variety of shinobis could be thought of.
Oh, and would you look at that; a small group of suit-wearing, smug-faced adults were making it over to them now. Wasn’t this a bit too obvious to see?
“Oh, the brat called for help, huh?” one of them spoke up, “You know, two children are still a bunch of-“ He didn’t get to realize it, but something made him faint. It was Honnou’s fist, aimed straight at his weak joint. His Byakugan was active, more lively than ever, and also as raging as that of a lion’s.
The result was quite clear; the three others dared not get their babymakers hurt in any way, so they fled for now. The small kid had hugged Honnou from behind in relief as tears soaked his back. It was quite difficult to live here as a young boy, wasn’t it…
