There was a roaring crowd, and even some corny announcer. The young man had no idea what had just happened. Perhaps this was the Jounin Exam he'd heard about? He was one of the last ones there, and had practically begged the attendant to let him in. Eventually relenting, they gave him some stamp on his wrist and had let him in. The whole ordeal was rather strange.
As he stood there, listening to the announcer hype this whole event up, however, Ginjiro began to get a little excited himself. They said that this would be a game of sorts. They had a training dummy, and they had instructed all of the Jounin hopefuls to hit the thing as hard as they could. They wanted to see the contestants do their worst, and utterly obliterate this thing. Ginjiro was getting a bit excited because, as luck would have it, this would be the perfect chance to field test his new puppet that he made. The artificial Human Puppet that was better than any normal puppet, his Advanced Puppet had been made with an imitation chakra network. With it, Ginjiro could perform techniques that he was never meant to use. He could transform his chakra into elemental natures that weren't possible for him to do. It seemed to the young man that this would be the perfect time to test such an invention. As the announcer called for the beginning of the event, Ginjiro wished he could just volunteer first. Instead, he was made to wait before the other contenders tried their hand.
The young man waited impatiently, wishing for nothing more than to have the others finish faster. His brain was already turning about how he wanted to try to test his puppet to the absolute maximum. He was certainly glad that he'd planned beforehand as to how he'd mesh properly with the puppet, and had devised some clever combinations he was itching to try. so far, the other contestants had been interesting to watch, but two in particular truly caught his eye. One of the contestants, a man who seemed to exude a dark aura about him and fought with a massive scythe as his primary weapon. Interesting choices, the young man had thought to himself. He seemed to do quite a number on the dummy, and for that he caught the young man's eye. Perhaps he'd like to sit down with this man and have a drink sometime? But there was another contestant, a man from the Village Hidden in the Sound, who really caught his eye. This guys seemed to be something else — his aloof demeanor, his calm yet bored expression, and the way he carried himself. It was almost as if he was hardly paying attention to what he was doing. And yet, despite all this, he had unleashed one of the most spectacular string of attacks the young man had seen in a while. Truly, this was a man of true talent. Forget drinks, Ginjiro wanted to full-on spar him. It made Ginjiro competitive, seeing a display like that. He was getting butterflies in his stomach just waiting for his turn.
When his name was finally called, Ginjiro practically sprang up. He was way too excited for this moment. Taking a short bow for the crowd, the young man put on a large playful grin. "Hello all! My name is Ayatsuri Ginjiro, and I'm very excited to bring this show to you today. I hope you enjoy it!" And with that, the young man slipped out a scroll from the bunch that he carried around his left leg. Unfurling the scroll, he released the seal on his newly created Advanced Puppet. A puff of white smoke surrounded them briefly while Ginjiro attached his chakra strings to the automaton. Calling out to the audience, it was clear that Ginjiro liked the attention. "Watch closely, everyone! This isn't something you'll see everyday!" With a flick of his wrist, the young man prompted a portion of the puppet to lift up from the back, allowing for the young man to step inside of the puppet. As the creation wrapped around him like a piece of living armor, he began to test the puppet's coverage and range of movement. Satisfied, Ginjiro continued on with his production. "And now, ladies and gentlemen, keep your eyes on that dummy. You don't want to miss the action!" Suddenly, as if melting away into the very air they breathed, the young man disappeared. It would take a truly talented tracker ninja to find him now. His voice would reverberate out from seemingly nowhere, but would assuredly make its way to each and every one of the onlookers. "And now, for the main event. Might get a little hot out here, everyone..." Suddenly, the dummy seemed to erupt into flames — a beam of highly condensed light and heat simmering the little punching bag. And yet, the puppet that Ginjiro operated was nowhere to be seen. Not a moment passed before two great balls of infernal fire appeared on top of the dummy, violently exploding as it expanded to incinerate the thing. This poor dummy had been through hell and back, literally.
As the fires burned bright, a silhouette could be seen against the bright backdrop of the fires. It was the young contestant, still within his puppet. Smiling and posing, the young man called out to the crowd once more. "Behold, the power of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Don't ever forget the might of Leaf City!" And with that, almost as if to add a slight bit of sass to the end of the performance, the young man in the puppet suit extended his arm down to release one last wisp of fire onto the dummy. Almost as if it were a last "screw you" to the little thing. The young man awaited his score, hoping to have scored higher than that Otogakure ninja.
