OOC: This will take place before Kaori meets with Yomi and Umashi.
Kaori walked into the grand building, the heart of the government, and spoke to the receptionist up front and had to sign in with her name, current time, and other miscellaneous information. Upon signing in, she was given a clipboard with a pen attached with a string lanyard to it. Kaori smiled to the rather rude woman working in the front counter before taking the application and started to fill it out. Between signing all of her relevant information, she looked around at the people that were there. She saw a couple people sleeping as they waited their turn to get their passport. The fact that people were passed out didn't give her too much encouragement on the amount of time she's going to be wasting in this seat. Naw, gotta think positively. They won't last long, right?
First hour passed...
Kaori started to get a little annoyed, seeing the line only move by 1 person. Her eyes looked back to the same group of men sleeping, just in different positions. One had their legs crossed and their head leaned back with a book over their eyes while two others leaned on each other as if to stop each other from tilting over. Drool came out of their mouths and the slight sound of snoring could be heard clearly. Kaori just tried to keep her mind occupied with what she remembered of Yume's music; letting the songs play in her head.
Second hour passed...
Babies started to cry. During that entire hour, nobody moved ahead and the line grew stagnant. Kaori started to tap her fingers upon her arm, having her arms folded over her diaphragm. The look of impatience easily read upon her face. Someone finally got called up and, out of frustration, Kaori went to go to the snack bar to get something to chew on. After grabbing some pretzels, Kaori sat back down and the children went to sleep. She sighed as she gnawed on a pretzel.
Third, fourth, and fifth hour passed...
What did Kaori get herself into? She wished there was a messaging system so she could bugger off somewhere in the village before... Screw it. Kaori stood up and left the office and began to shop around Maple Street for a moment, then went to go get ramen at Ichiraku's ramen shop and then returned. As soon as she returned and only 2 people have been called up. Any time now, hopefully.
Sixth hour passed...
This office is going to close soon. Kaori is growing restless as she started to pantamime handseals in the corner before the last person in front of her got called up. After they got called up, Kaori instantly went back to her seat and waited patiently.
Seventh hour passed...
Yup.. it'll be her turn soon. Any time now. Yup. Any time now.
