Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A flurry of snow rushed through the open, but mostly empty, streets of the Chronopolis. It was an unusually chilly day for the time of year, but it wasn’t unheard of. Living high in the mountains sometimes random storms would brew while mixing with cold fronts pushing down from the Frozen Seas up North; it was rare, but still happened. It left the streets covered in a soft permafrost and fresh beds of snow that would melt in a couple of days. Most of the village used it as an advantage to push sales in Susukino, but the Chornopolis, despite all of its most recent changes for the better, kept off the streets and indoors. For years when cold like this blew it, it covered the homeless and desperate. Now that they had a place to shelter from the bitter bite of icy winds, most of the residents of this area cleared the streets on cold days like this.

Which worked just fine for Rei. Two shadows darted through the empty roads. Human sized blurs that were clearly locked in a chase that darted from street, to rooftop, back to street, and everywhere else in between as one shadow did everything it could to shake off the large and looming form of the Main Branch Sennin.
The person she was chasing? Intel suggested a possible new assassin after the Raikage’s head, but that had yet to be determined. Somehow her people had picked up on the guy’s presence before ANBU; a rarity to be celebrated if she could just catch the asshole. The fact that he had such a lead over the Sennin, despite her already unnatural speed, meant he was either fully trained operative of some sort, or a genius chakra user that had managed to hide out in plain sight. Either way, there was enough incriminating evidence to suggest this person was here not only illegally, but had plans for mischief.

Rei’s hand stretched out from her pose to cut down on wind resistance, and for the third time in a row right before her hand could grab the man by shoulder, neck, or clothing, he suddenly sped up and back out of her reach.
Dammit!” the Sennin swore taking in a mouth full of snow before reaching up to her left ear and double tapping it. Without slowing down a single step she yelled at the operator right as they connected, “I need help capturing a potential criminal! Male suspect, 5’8’’, lean build, dark hair! Running through the Chronopolis, between the new housing district and the old one, heading up towards Susukino! If we can’t catch him by the time he hits a crowd then we’ll lose him for sure. Send out a bullhorn to anyone near by! I don’t care what Branch they are, call it a direct order from the MB Sennin!

A cloth sheet, someone's laundry, suddenly covered her face. It lasted of all of about two seconds before it became shreds but that was just enough time for the pursued to take a sharp right back towards the Old District. Swearing loudly again she turned on a dime and darted in his direction once more.
Turned into the old housing! I repeat, turned into the old housing!

This wouldn’t even be a thing for her if she had more time, even just two minutes. Rei could let out an order to unleash some of her inhibitors and close the gap, probably instantly. Problem being, when she did unlock that latent power and let it run even a little free, something got destroyed. A building, a street, someone’s car that one time…without enough prep time to get people directly out of her way, going full beastmode was a no-go. She needed help, from anyone, to slow down this guy for even just a couple of seconds.
