Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Keniwa would sit quietly behind the teachers desk, placing this as an after school class that any students could attend. It reminded him of his days in the academy and when he learnt and met several new friends and companions, it helped to shape him in to who he was today. And as the standing in headteacher he was filling in for the principal who has yet to make her return. Taking a big yawn he would begin to draw on the blackboard something that allowed everyone to get a starting idea of the class today. Whether these kids have unlocked their bloodlines, their specialities even their ability to use chakra, was something he had no clue. Though he would try his best today to help each and everyone of them get an idea of what they could really do.

WHAT IS CHAKRA? AND WHAT CAN IT DO?

Those words would be sprawled amongst the board to get them thinking. All he could really do now was wait for students to show up. He wondered if a certain blood wielding student would appear today, however the delinquent probably was not even in today knowing his reputation. If any students came in today they would see him placing textbooks on each desk and he’d greet them with a smile.

Kino made his way into the classroom, while he knew about the concept of chakra control and its benefits he had a lot to learn in regards to it. He was able to pull off some basic tricks sure, but the reality of his sparring with Keiyaku left him realizing that there was a lot to be improved on. Sitting he looked up to the semi-familiar face of Keniwa from the street conversation previously. He gave a nod of acknowledgment as he took his seat and pulled out his notebook.

Kino actually loved class, contrary to what his expression might show. It was his chance to figure out things and put pieces together of his own abilities, making him figure out creative ways to use what he has already gained mastery of. Now, this class was going to be similar to that, in that he could gain understanding of chakra in a way that might allow him to manipulate what he already understood. In reality though, he loved the quiet nature of the classroom setting, everything had its role and a time to shine, and when it wasn't his he could sit back and just be for a little while.

As he looked to the board, he thought about the questions presented. He was certain he had an answer to each, but he doubted it was the exact book definition and he thought that was probably the answer this class would need to have. Not something he made up to describe it, but the actual textbook definitions. He leaned back in his chair and waited for the class to begin, crossing his arms and getting more comfortable

Uchiha Mizuki lay awake, her gaze fixed on the crisscrossing beams of the unfamiliar ceiling. This marked her first night in the new house, yet every sound and draft felt foreign. The creak of the floorboards carried a different tune, and the absence of Taiyo's soft snores only deepened her sense of homesickness. Tears welled up in her eyes as she silently sobbed in the enveloping darkness, her knees drawn tightly to her chest. Eventually, she succumbed to slumber, stirred by the gentle caress of morning light and the soothing serenade of birdsong.

"Sis, are you up?" Her brother's voice, full of excitement, called from behind the door. "First day at the Academy today, don't want to be late."

"Just getting up now, I'll meet you in the entrance hall," she replied, summoning the energy to leave her bed. With a languid stretch, she coaxed her limbs awake, then swiftly dressed and prepared for the day ahead.

Outside, the morning air carried the crisp chill of fall as they made their way from the Uchiha Mansion to the Academy. Mizuki took a deep breath, finding comfort in the familiar scent of damp leaves. Taiyo practically bounced the whole way there, his excitement palpable. She wished she could share in his enthusiasm for their new life. Pausing briefly at the door, she gathered herself.

"Hello, I'm Uchiha Mizuki," she introduced herself, bowing to the man at the front of the class before taking a seat at one of the desks taking note of the boy that was already in the classroom.

Taiyo leapt out of bed as the alarm blared, brimming with anticipation for the day's training with his fellow Leaf Shinobi. Swiftly donning his attire, he bolted out of his room, narrowly avoiding a collision with one of the maids in his eagerness. After a hasty apology, he deftly navigated down the corridor, halting in front of Mizuki's door.

"Sis, are you up?" He called through the wood. "First day at the Academy today, don't want to be late." A brief pause, and then he heard her soft voice reply.

"Just getting up now, I'll meet you in the entrance hall." Taiyo nodded and descended the stairs, his impatience evident as he paced back and forth. Each moment seemed to stretch out like an eternity. Though it felt like hours, in reality, only a few minutes passed before he spotted her making her way down the stairs. He greeted her with a smile before they left the house, venturing into the brisk autumn air.

The walk to the Academy was short, and Taiyo was practically vibrating with excitement, nearly bouncing the entire way. He could sense that his sister didn't share the same level of enthusiasm, likely missing their previous home and parents. Upon reaching the classroom, Mizuki entered first, introducing herself before taking a seat. Taiyo followed suit.

"Uchiha Taiyo," he stated, taking a seat and then promptly returning to bow to the teacher. He settled back next to his sister, a wide grin on his face as he looked at the chalkboard.

Keniwa would smile looking at the three students entering the classroom, nodding at each when they would greet him with whatever they saw fit, when each student was sat down and comfortable he would promptly stand up and goto the chalkboard with a small piece of chalk in between his fingers. Noting his name down he would speak as he wrote, "For those of you who do not know my name is Kyoujouran Keniwa, welcome to this class, today we will be learning about the basics of chakra, what it can naturally accomplish and what it actually is. As you are all likely aware almost everyone has chakra coursing throughout their body, it is a natural part of everyone's lives." Placing the chalk down next to the blackboard Keniwa would allow his right hand to prominently glow with his orange chakra for all the students to see, like a burning fire he allowed it to blaze for each of the students to see.

"This is but one of the thousand things that chakra can accomplish, by just allowing it to be visible it provided me a light source, not everyone's chakra is the same colour however they usually do not mean anything specific, mine just so happens to be orange. So like the board suggests I have a question for you three, What do you believe chakra is? And what can it do? This is just the very beginning of the class, so do not worry if you are unsure on any answers, just try your best each of you." Keniwa would smile at the students as the chakra pouring from his hand quickly soaked back through his palm, waiting for them to either say out loud or raise their hand with an answer.

Kino looked around the room and waited for a sign to answer the question. Seeing none of the other classmates raising their hands, he spoke up. "Isn't Chakra just the combination of like physical and stamina energy? Like the primal energies or whatever?" Kino was clearly aware of the basic concepts but was trying to not be too enthusiastic about it. "Its what allows us to use jutsu, we channel it and use it to create what we use. As for what it can do, that's not exactly an easy answer as we constantly learn new things that it can do as shinobi master their chakra use."

He leaned back into his chair and started writing in his notebook. Even though he knew more to the answers, he didn't want to say without giving his classmates a chance. These could be his future squad, and knowing what they knew about things like this would help him to understand how they'd play into the dynamics. He also hated being the center of attention and would much rather split that load with the rest in here. It was at this point he looked up to the others in his class, noticing the connections between the two it was very obvious they were related, another thing he caught was the eyes.

It wasn't everyday that someone showed up with red eyes and black hair. He was well enough aware of some of the major families to know the Uchiha clan, and with that he knew that these two would be some powerful shinobi if they could master their bloodline techniques. He made note in of each of them and then returned to taking actual notes, waiting for them to add or object to what he had said.

The girl sat in rapt silence, her attention fixed on the man at the front of the room. Every nuance of his movements was carefully noted, illuminated by the dancing orange light across his palm. The training she had received back at home covered the rudiments of chakra and its applications, though practical demonstrations were a rarity. To say she was impressed would be an understatement. Mizuki found herself nearly entranced by the radiant light emanating from the man's hand. Just as her gaze lingered, another boy in the room spoke up. She shifted her focus towards him, observing as he leaned back in his chair, engrossed in scribbling something in his notebook. She could feel his eyes meet hers, and a blush crept up her cheeks, prompting her to quickly avert her attention back to the front of the class.

After a few moments of silence, the young Uchiha cleared her throat before standing behind her desk.

"Chakra is the life force that courses through all things, enabling us Shinobi to channel our Jutsu as well as our Bloodline abilities. Yet, it is more than that. Even those without the gifts we possess still have chakra. The difference lies in its application," she explained. "Typically, it manifests in two forms: physical and spiritual. One can be honed through training, the other through study."

She continued, "We, in the Uchiha Clan, are known for our Dojutsu, the Sharingan, which allows us to see the flow of chakra in the body, making it easier for us to track a target even if they are obscured."

That's so cool the boy exclaimed to himself as he watched the orange light form in the man's hand. He concentrated on his own hand and attempted to replicate the same light, but only succeeded in giving himself a slight headache. While the male Uchiha struggled to emulate Keniwa, another boy in the class promptly answered the teacher's question. Taiyo ceased his antics and listened intently.

The classmate essentially covered everything about chakra, at least as the Uchiha understood it. If he were completely honest, he might have dozed off during this particular lesson. Once the explanation concluded, he observed as the boy's attention shifted toward the twins. Mizuki appeared slightly uncomfortable with the sudden scrutiny, prompting Taiyo to shoot the boy a slight glare.

A brief silence settled before Mizuki stood up, clearing her throat to address the class. Taiyo listened attentively to his sister speak. She had always been the superior student between the two of them, while he preferred experimentation over theory. He never ceased to be amazed by her ability to retain all the seemingly trivial details their tutor would impart. When she finished, he watched her settle back into her seat before rising himself. He cleared his throat in an effort to sound more erudite.

"What she said, chakra does stuff," he stated, smiling proudly at the class before retaking his seat. He glanced over at Mizuki, who gave him an exasperated look. "What?" he mouthed to her before she turned her attention back to the teacher.

Keniwa would wait carefully to see who would take the initiative and answer first, it seeming to be one of the boys who Sota had attempted to take advantage of, whilst he wasn't there at the scene he knew of the basis of that particular situation. And for an academy student, Keniwa was quite impressed with his answer, whilst not exactly on the mark he was damn near close, he must have done his research properly before the class. "Very good Kino, that is quite close. Would anyone else like to take a shot?" Waiting to see what the two Uchiha's would do he wondered about them, where they perhaps related in some fashion? They looked quite similar to each other, and wore almost matching attire. It was then that Mizuki raised stood tall and answered promptly what she believed chakra was, and holy crap. Shocked by her innate intelligence she got it practically word for word dictionary definition, for a slight moment the students might have been able to see his eyes widen as she spoke. She even had quite the span of knowledge for her own clan, certainly raised right and clear that she was a hard worker at least when it came to book smarts. Although Taiyo did not give Keniwa the same thoughts, although whether he actually was aware of what chakra was before she spoke, he could not know.

"Amazing Mizuki! Some one has clearly been studying, you are completely right, chakra is practically everywhere and takes form in the two ways you spoke of. What I showed you two was a physical demonstration of my chakra, although there's no real way to show you a spiritual demonstration without one attacking me or me choosing to attack you. Once you three get on to genjutsu study you'll begin to understand more what I mean. I'd like you three to open the textbooks in front of you to page 57, there lies a diagram of the chakra network in the average person's body. Us humans have 361 tenketsu that are placed all over the chakra network system, these work like circuit breakers that allow electricity to flow. If open electricity can flow freely. As well as these are eight specific far more important tenketsu layered around the body, these are titled the eight gates however these remained shut at all times for a reason. Would anyone care to say what they think would happen if, one of these 361 tenketsu were to be closed. And if one of the eight gates were to be opened?" It was all well and good what they knew before the class, but he was curious to see how quick they could catch on to what they'd see and witness.

Kino would smile hearing the girls answer, he had given space for others and she jumped on it. The boy however, made kino chuckle lightly. He wouldn't admit it but the banter was funny to say the least. Though his answer was far from it.

"Blocking chakra points, or tenketsu, can have different effects deping on severity. A temporary block can render a person unable to fight, having no access to chakra in that area, but it can also.. well become more deadly if you fu.. mess up."

Kino once again gave an answer without answering all parts. He was definitely curious to see the others responses to this as well as to the gate question. Kino had thought about chakra quite a lot recently, in fact at any given point while in the orphanage one could find him studying it. He was incredibly curious about this gate opening, having just recently read up on it himself. But, he wasn't entire sure the theory was something that he himself would want to mess with.

The young girl's attention pivoted toward her brother, anticipation building as he rose to address the class. A sigh escaped her lips, accompanied by a subtle shake of her head, a silent acknowledgement that his grasp of the lesson seemed to fall short of her own diligent understanding. Keniwa's words flowed, and a blush graced her cheeks as he commended her. Following instructions, she directed her focus to the diagram in the textbook laid out on the desk in front of her. Despite having encountered it previously, she conscientiously invested time in a thorough study.

When the teacher's question found its way to her, Mizuki paused, allowing her thoughts to weave into a thoughtful response. "Tenketsu or pressure points, intricately woven throughout the body," she began, her voice a soft cadence, punctuated by a subtle tremor reflecting her underlying nervousness. "Ordinarily, ninjas can only discern these points in their hands and feet, facilitating the manipulation of Jutsu. Yet, certain bloodlines, exemplified by the Hyuuga, possess the extraordinary ability to focus any or all of their tenketsu points. Furthermore, they are bestowed with the Byakugan, a rare Dojutsu uniquely equipped to visualize these intricate points within the human body." She continued "Should these points be blocked, as before says, it would render the individual unable to fight but more importantly, it could block their ability to focus chakra entirely"

Completing her explanation, Mizuki turned her gaze towards her brother, a flicker of hope in her eyes, wishing for a more refined answer to satisfy their teacher's inquiry this time.

Taiyo shot a subtle glare at his sister upon hearing her sigh. Keniwa's praise had fueled his competitive spirit, and he secretly hoped the teacher would call for a partial demonstration, presenting an opportunity to outshine his sister, even if only momentarily. With an air of nonchalance, he casually flipped through the pages of the textbook, pinpointing the specified section. The diagram illustrated the Chakra network and pressure points that exist in the human body and he absorbed the visual information with a practised eye.

Attentively, Taiyo listened as both Kino and Mizuki shared their answers with the teacher, thinking about how he himself would answer. Driven by a determination to outdo his sister this time, Taiyo opened his mouth to present his response.

"Unlocking one of those Chakra gates empowers an individual to transcend their usual limits, bestowing increased strength, endurance, and speed. However, this heightened ability comes at a price, imposing a substantial strain on the person, essentially demanding the sacrifice of a portion of their life force for such extraordinary power." When it came to their lessons, Taiyo tended to focus more on practical applications rather than theory. He glanced at his sister, she smiled back to him glad that he had at least made the effort this time. He shifted his gaze back to Keniwa, hoping he had provided the answer the teacher was seeking hoping that he hadn't just made himself look stupid but spouting out some random rubbish that he had just remembered from his tutor.

Nodding along as each of them spoke in some manner they were all right just a small bit of refining and at this rate would all be ready for a genin exam likely be the end of this class, it was extraordinary but he could practically feel their young minds whirring. Saying directly and clearly "Amazing job all of you! You are completely right Kino the blocking of a tenketsu could lead to devastating effects allowing people not to truly utilise chakra as they ordinarily would. In battle this could mean death in the most extreme of scenarios. You are also very correct Miyako, when it comes to blocking chakra points, Hyuuga's are professionals, the blocking of the hands and feets chakra points are extremely effective. It's difficult to stop the chakra they get from their dojutsu due to it's placement being in such a protected part of the body. And you to Taiyo! You are pretty much correct, they do facilitate amazing power, strength, endurance and speed! However you aren't exactly correct about one point. And to demonstrate this I'd like you guys to leave your textbooks here and come down to the training grounds."

Walking to the door of the classroom he'd open it up allowing for each of the children to follow suite and make their way to the training grounds, whether they chose to chatter and speak with each other as they walked would be up to them, Keniwa would pay no mind to it, other than perhaps a small smile. Once they all were out and standing in the academy field, he would instruct each of them to stand a bit away. "When it comes to the chakra gates, it's true that they can perform a substantial strain on the body, if you are inexperienced that is. For example." Keniwa would take a deep breath clenching each of his fists as he stood tall and gazed down at the ground with his eyes closed. Three pistons would move up and down on his robotic gauntlets as his chakra network would glow orange and steam poured from off of his back. "Life... view... wonder..." An immense amount of chakra was pouring from Keniwa as he disappeared from sight from the three of the students, reappearing on a fence behind them. "Any power can be controlled if the one who wields it is strong enough, even the most painful, that is something to remember for the future for you all!"

Kino would get up and walk out of the class with the other students. He would naturally rest his hand covering his curse mark as he walked past Sensei Keniwa, making it look as if he was simply rubbing his neck in the way teens do in awkward situations. Once out of the room and walking in the direction of the training field he would turn to face the other two students that he was walking with. "Hey, name's Kino" he'd smile at the pair and give a nod of hello. "You're really smart Mizuki, not that I doubted anyone would be but I even learned a thing or two from you, we should study sometime." He then looked to Taiyo with a look of interest, "Maybe you should join us, seems you may need to brush up on some stuff ya? No offense."

He would stretch as they got to the field, never missing the opportunity to get warmed up. While stretching his mark and his bandages, covering most of his torso, would be revealed at times. He looked to Keniwa as he gave the example, his eyes going wide when he saw him disappear. A moment of panic and a quick hand on the neck once more before he heard the voice behind him. He turned to see his teacher now up on a fence to their rear, he'd laugh lightly and lower his hand. "Keniwa Sensei, is that true for all techniques? what about seals?"

The question was fitting, they knew what those were after all. Maybe it would raise a red flag in Keniwa's mind, maybe not. But the question was one he wanted an outside opinion on and was looking forward to the answer.

The young girl sent a warm glance in her brother's direction, a gentle smile gracing her lips. A quiet surge of pride swelled within her as she silently mouthed, "Good job." It was a reassuring revelation that the countless hours invested in private tutoring had, indeed, left a mark. As the speaker concluded, she rose gracefully from her seat, her attention fixed on her brother as he made his way towards the classroom door. The room hummed with activity, and fellow students approached her with friendly introductions.

Offering gratitude, she responded, "Thank you." A subtle blush adorned her cheeks. "It's a pleasure to meet you. You seem quite knowledgeable as well. I'd be delighted to study with you sometime." Mizuki followed her newfound acquaintance towards the training grounds, eager to embark on a shared journey of knowledge.

Upon entering the expansive training grounds, Mizuki noted their instructor already poised, patiently awaiting their attention. Following the given instructions, she took a step back, maintaining a respectful distance. Her gaze remained fixed on the male instructor as he cantered his chakra, an undeniable intensity permeating the air.

Anticipation hung thick in the atmosphere, every student tuned in to the subtle energies at play. Mizuki, with a discerning eye, observed the intricate dance of chakra manipulation. The instructor's body emitted a radiant orange glow before vanishing entirely. His voice then reappeared behind them, prompting her to spin around and face him, an expression of wonderment etched across her features.

"That was incredible" the girl said a little dumbfounded.

The boy beamed with satisfaction upon noticing his sister's approving smile, relieved that he hadn't made a fool of himself. Observing Keniwa's departure from the room, he rose from his seat and made his way to Mizuki's side, keeping a watchful eye on Kino as he approached them. With a friendly introduction, Taiyo listened attentively as Kino complimented the female Uchiha. However, a subtle glare crept into Taiyo's expression in response to a comment directed at him.

He was on the verge of expressing that they didn't need any assistance in their studies since Mizuki had already responded, but before he could utter a word, he rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath. This prompted a sharp elbow in his ribs by the girl.

"Yes, we would love to study with you," he winced, rubbing his side as he followed them both out of the classroom to the training grounds outside.

The area outside held no particular allure; sand covered a large circular expanse, pocked with evident damage from previous training sessions. Their sensei was already present, patiently awaiting their arrival. Taiyo listened intently as their instructor spoke, setting the tone for the upcoming session. As the man closed his eyes, Taiyo's attention heightened. The focus shifted to the mechanical fist, and he became transfixed by the display. The metallic appendage glowed with an intense orange hue before vanishing from sight completely. The sheer mastery of chakra control left Taiyo in silent admiration, recognizing the depth of skill within their instructor.

Unsurprisingly to him all the kids seemed somewhat shocked, scratching his head he would chuckle as he allowed his powers to deactivate before he would accidentally break something with the increased amount of strength, it was far harder to control his blows when chakra was quite literally pumping through his body at extreme speeds. Whilst he could regulate it at this level to keep himself from harm, he could not say the same for any property around him. As his body would simmer and the orange glow regulating across his chakra network would fade he would immediately and calmly jump back down to the class. "This is my strength, but I am sure each and every one of you will find your own. That allows you all to shine brightly against any threat that you may face in the future!"

Beaming brightly at all of them, all he wished for is that they would be encouraged to sometimes take the risk to master something that could make them better in the future, whether it be just in general life or shinobi work it was always great to chase their dreams and aspirations. Although Kino's question... it sparked somewhat of a curiousness in Kino, he was somewhat familiar with seals in three ways. Basic temporary ninjutsu seals that could be used in the heat of combat... and the other two... a cursed seal one that siphons one's own energy in exchange for amazing power. A generally disastrous power... in the wrong hands that is, there were cases that he was aware of that one could use this to help others, taking on the burden to be a hero. Otakemaru... ... Then there was the last... a seal to unwillingly fuse one creature with another, Keiyaku's fate that he had to withstand. Although this also ended up in a massive increase of strength, although he found this one could be equally if not more uncontrollable than a cursed seal.

Rubbing his neck with a somewhat concerned expression Keniwa came up towards Kino, "W-well... I'd be lying if I said that seals weren't dangerous, and I wouldn't have one imbued on yourself without careful consideration, but yes... even one baring the mark of a cursed seal or... worse... can still master that power.. I will admit it'd require incredible will power and determination though. However... why do y-" The bell would ring across the academy signifying that it was time for classes to wrap up and students to head home, he would quickly pocket his hands placing a smile back on his face. "Well! That's the end of the day! Well done all three of you, you did great in class! I hope to see you all again sometime, please do get home safe and have a good day! Any questions about today, please feel free to ask now or whenever you come up with one!"

[Once students post their next post you all have passed this class and are elligible for class rewards!]
