Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

One Week Ago:

The pains in her joints were really bad today. She gritted her teeth on her walk to the hospital. They had checked in an hour ago and finally her turn to see the doctor had arrived. She was taken to a room where she was instructed by a nurse to wear a medical gown. Finally, after ten minutes of waiting a handsome young man entered the room wearing a doctor’s uniform. He did a few tests including hitting her knee caps with some kind of medical hammer. Once he was done he questioned her about her diet and activities, and she had to explain of course that she had been training rigourously on the track in order to become a shinobi. The youthful doctor nodded his head and seemed to jot some information down.

”Well you are definitely unusual. Its hard to tell if this is perhaps a serious problem or if its just part of growing pains.” He commented at last. ”I reviewed your x-rays from last time, and after hearing that the problem is reoccuring even with the right diet and medication I’d like to recommend a visit to a specialist.” The doctor concluded. ”Your chakra system is expanding so it could all be related… Alright. I’ll have the nurse set up an appointment with Chigokai-sama. In the meantime you can use some ibuprofen if the pain starts bothering you too much.” After the physical, Ai dressed and headed back up to the front desk. The nurse made some copies of her medical documents and scheduled an appointment with another doctor.

”Okay! We’ll see you here next week!”

Today:

Once again Ai had come back, and after an hour of waiting it was finally her turn. As before the nurse had Ai dress up in a medical gown while she waited. The Nurse took her pulse and temperature before stepping out of the office and providing Ai’s file over to Osu. It had x-rays that were specific on her joints and described the medications that had been used to treat the pain in her joints. The previous doctors suspected it was something to do with the fact that the girl had become so tall shortly, but as her pain was becoming chronic and was really starting to bother her - the other doctor had become concerned that something that he wasn’t familiar with had been developing.

A young... *squints eyes*... man in a flowery yukata sat in his office and tiredly sipped at some tea he had just brewed. Despite having an unusual amount of control over the work schedules for his rank, he ended up scheduling himself for back to back shifts to cover for other doctors. After a long shift on surgeries, he was now on a shift taking care of regular appointments. If it wasn't for the fact his body now required active control to modify his features there would be some severe bags under his eyes at this point. For better or worse his inner exhaustion was completely hidden except for the occasional empty gaze and slightly slow reaction. He looked at the clock and sighed at the fact his lunch was about over before leaving and making his way to the hall his patients were being kept.

Osu looked over probably his 20th chart for the day and gave a small yawn before opening the door and entering the room. "Watanabe Ai?" He looked at the girl on the table who was much taller than he was before glancing back at the chart and confirming this child was over 6 feet tall. Goodness what are they feeding kids these days... oh her diet chart is right here.

Covering the beat he missed Osu smiled and sat across from the girl and gazed over the rest of her chart in a frightfully quick fashion before putting it down. "My name is Chigokai Osuteno, but most of my patients your age just call me Osu-Sensei. It appears you are experiencing quite a lot of pain lately and I see we took x-rays of your joints last week. My colleagues seem to think that it is likely related to your growth, but asked me to come take a look and give you a look over myself. I would just like to ask you a few questions while I examine your joints myself."

Osu rolled his seat closer and gently took Ai's arm and began lightly pressing and moving the joint with his inhumanly smooth hands that caused some of his fellow doctors to avoid contact with him as they were unnerved by his... unusual anatomy, feeling out any oddities in the movement of the joint itself as he began massaging her elbow. "If it starts to hurt too much while I am doing this, just tell me. Now, exactly when did you start feeling these pains? Was it close in relation to when you were experiencing a growth spurt or did it come out of the blue? Did it begin around the time you started your chakra training? Are any of your relatives, immediate or distant, as tall as you are? Possibly some family talk about an unusual ancestor? Maybe a shinobi?" Osu's questions may seem a bit odd, but they had to do with the fact his specialties included studying the many genetic anomalies in anatomy found in shinobi, bloodlines wielders or otherwise. He listened carefully as his hand moved up to the kid's shoulder, massaging and moving the shoulder with one hand while moving the other between her upper arm, neck and upper back trying to feel irregularities in movement there.

As Osu-Sensei stepped into the room and introduced himself a brief flash of memory hit Ai as she remembered that Tatsuo had recommended that she come see a “Ms. Osu” all along. She wondered if Osu-sensei was familiar with Tatsuo, but she figured that she would at least wait until the examination was concluded before she started asking personal questions. Of course there was no stipulations to stop Osu from doing so. One could say that in this situation it was his job. She was quiet as a mouse as Osu finished his introduction and moved on to the heart of the matter. His skin felt like...cold silk. Flawless. As to be expected of a woman, Ai mentally nodded to herself. It was very impressive that a girl, and so young at that, had become one of the top doctors in the village.

"If it starts to hurt too much while I am doing this, just tell me. Now, exactly when did you start feeling these pains?

Ai looked up at the ceiling as she tried honestly to recall when the pain had begun. It was hard… She barely remembered any of the time when she was shorter than her father and brothers. ”Ah mean they would ache sometimes in the past, but never like now.” She confirmed.

”Was it close in relation to when you were experiencing a growth spurt or did it come out of the blue? Did it begin around the time you started your chakra training?”

”Ah don’t reckon. Ah feel like I’ve always been sproutin’ like a beanspout and things always hurt after working on the farm. When we moved to Cloud Ah started at the shinobi academy and it began to get worse. Ah never had even heard of chakra before so Ah reckon you’re right to say that.” She thought briefly of how her brother claimed she grew a little everyday when Osu mentioned a growth spurt. The medical files would attest that she seemed to be gaining centimeters between visits, so her brother wasn’t completely wrong and she still seemed to be getting bigger.

”Are any of your relatives, immediate or distant, as tall as you are? Possibly some family talk about an unusual ancestor? Maybe a shinobi?”

Ai pressed a finger to her lips for a moment trying to recall any of her genealogy. ”Mah Dad and brothers are all...well were. They were about six feet tall. Ah got taller than my tallest Brother this year… Dad said… well yah ever heard of the Akimichi clan? Ah hear they used to be a big Clan in Leaf...Dad says that we’re related Ah think.” It was very hard for Ai to gain weight though, so she wans’t sure how strong the Akimichi bloodline really ran in her - since she heard that it was all about getting fat and using that to fuel your jutsu and while she could no doubt hold her own in an eating contest, it never seemed to stick.

”Osu-sensei, do yah know a boy named Tatsuo? He said that yah are the best doctor.” She paused thinking about the medical techniques that Tatsuo claims Osu taught him. ”When Ah met him he used a jutsu on my knees. He said yah could teach me too.” She looked at Osu with a pleading gaze.

Not in direct relation to her growth but there is a decent chance it has something to do with her body reacting to chakra training. Possible relation to Akimichi bloodline though that doesn’t appear to be very likely based off body type, but still worth checking. Going to need to take a blood sample in a bit. Hmm Tatsuo?

Osu gave a small smile, “Yes I know Tatsuo-kun, he is a friendly child, from Leaf Village. Calling me the best doctor is an exaggeration, but it is still nice to hear that he thinks well of me… I do remember that I taught him generally how to use medical jutsu, particularly anesthetic infusion. Certainly it would dull the pain… but I am a bit hesitant to teach you medical jutsu you plan to use often on yourself without making sure you fully master it and know when and how to use it responsibly, medicine becomes poison if you aren’t careful… How about this, I typically do paperwork in my office for a couple hours in the late afternoon, early evening. Why don’t you come by at that time and have some lessons with me in the use of medical chakra?” Osu moved from feeling the child’s shoulder and back and began manipulating her knee while checking muscle movement in her calf… hmm… there was definitely something odd overall though. He was having trouble placing his finger on it.

“Ai-Chan, exactly how far along in your chakra studies are you? Have you begun practicing jutsu yet? Do you feel… more comfortable with certain ones?”

Ai watched Ms Osu with interest as he explained his encounter with Tatsuo, and then warned her of the dangers of medical jutsu. She sighed and looked down as Osu moved from looking at her shoulder and started examining her calf. “Ai-Chan, exactly how far along in your chakra studies are you? Have you begun practicing jutsu yet? Do you feel… more comfortable with certain ones?” Dr. Osu asked. Ai Thought about things. She had never really thought about it before. She hummed to herself as she tried to search her memories for signs of what he was asking her about. ”Ah never really had a mind about it ah reckon.” She frowned to herself as she recalled how Ninjutsu is the weakest skill so in general she had tried to avoid it.

She stifled a laugh as Osu hit a tickle spot with the cold smooth hands of his. ”Sorry, ahm ticklish.” She turned bright red for a moment and hid her face with her hands. She eventually found the courage to clear her throat and answer Osu’s question. ”Ms. Osu to be honest ah’ve never been any good with ninjutsu. Outside of classes Ah try to avoid it. Ah’ve been focusing on taijutsu instead. Ah don’t think Ah’ve ever used a ninjutsu I’m comfortable with. Its like trying to herd cats, ya know?” She looked up to watch the facial expression of Osu. She felt a little nervous admitting to this fact and was wondering how the medical ninja was taking the news. ”That’s normal right? Not everybody can be good at ninjutsu I reckon. Ah figured I was the taijutsu type anyhow given how big Ah am.”

Osu frowned upon hearing the young girl's reply. "It isn't unheard of for a shinobi to have difficulty with a branch of jutsu, but... that does present a rather troubling issue in teaching you medical jutsu. Medical jutsu probably require the most dedication to master as a whole... though there are... never mind. It wouldn't hurt to attempt the basics since they are not inherently more difficult to use than average jutsu of the same caliber. The difficulty rise only truly occurs in the more advanced techniques and that is more due to needing a proper understanding of precisely what you are doing in a literal sense. Oh I almost forgot," Osu looked the young girl straight in the eyes and said, "I accept at this point in my life that for some reason people tend to believe I am a woman. However, I am in fact not a woman, I am male. The person in front of you is a guy. I have two little girls who might on occasion call me 'Mommy' by mistake and my wife might start trembling from laughter when they do, but I am in fact their father. I might have a student who is older than me who has called me Osu-Mama for some reason I don't understand, but I am in fact not a woman, nor anyone's mother." He realized he was starting to go into a speech and calmed himself down, it wasn't like he could go into the cases of sexual harassment he suffered and such with a child anyway.

Clearing his throat that never actually needed clearing, Osu continued on, "That aside, do you find it difficult to use any form of ninjutsu or is it a problem in using jutsu that have an external focus? For instance, do you have trouble using the transformation or body switch jutsus? Knowing what your block or condition might be could help greatly."

[OOC: Sorry been down and out from food poisoning the last few days, might be a couple more until I am really back to it.]
