Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Gender: Male (Though he has many strong feminine qualities as a product of his raising, he himself thinks he is manly)

Physical Description: Osuteno is quite the pretty young lady- I mean man. He stands at 5'8" and even though he is slim he is even lighter than he looks at 90 lbs though by no means is he frail... well he doesn't get injured easily that is. rather his weight is almost entirely based on the volume of blood in his body which has increased when he absorbs the vessels and hearts of other people. His limbs might fall off if he isn't paying attention though. He has purple hair and crimson eyes with the whites completely taken over by the blood like color though he has invested in some colored contact lenses. He keeps a firmly polite expression, which has become more expressive than it was when he was younger reflective. He has been through a couple different outfit phases such as he used to wear a mostly black outfit of pants, combat boots and a tank top along with the exception of a white and grey poncho made from the cloth he was found wrapped in or a variety of kimonos. However after being mistaken for a girl constantly he took to hiding most of his features in a custom set of Medic robes with a hood featuring long rabbit ears. These days he mostly wears yukata but his wife has been getting him to wear some outfits that make him look like a very... charismatic sort of individual.

Mental Description (Due for an Update): Osuteno was much calmer than most children his age and gladly spent his time drinking tea and petting a cat as he would playing hide-and-go seek. He was a remarkably quite child, coming and going without much notice. He enjoyed growing and making tea as a hobby and was often seen rescuing and treating injured animals. A believer in hard work, he spent most of his day out training mostly taking breaks only to eat, sleep or study. The exception to this was that almost every night he goes to relax in the hot springs.

Of course as time passed Osu became more involved with his clan's training regimen, the hospital began taking more of his time and he stopped having the opportunity to enjoy his hobbies as much. His twin sister Uso, who shares a mental space with him is more of a self serving type though oddly leaning towards lawful neutral one might say.

Prerequisites: D-Rank

Effect:
- The user's Critical hits will always increase bleeding rank, even if the attack does not normally inflict bleeding. This does not apply to non-offensive techniques aimed at allies that can crit.
- When attacking a target at their maxed Bleeding Rank, the user has a base chance of 10% to deal 1.5% Max Hp damage immediately. This chance may be increased with the user's Bleed bonuses up to a 20% chance, but may only effect a target up to three times per round.
- When either of the above effects trigger, the target will take an additional +.5% Max Hp damage per round from bleeding on top of their current Bleeding damage. This does not stack.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="Contract Mastery"]The ancient power of the bond with a Contract Summon can go even deeper than just summoning. By forming a special symbiosis with one's contract, a warrior can attain an even greater power.

Effect:
- Contract Summoning's E-B rank summons AP cost is reduced by -.5 AP, and A-S Rank Summons AP Cost is reduced by -1 AP.
- Upon summoning a contract the user may choose one of these buffs to apply to it by paying +20% of Contract Summoning's CP Cost:
The summoned contracts receives +10% Damage, and -5% HP/CP Cost to all of their techniques. (Only reduces HP/CP Cost)
The Contract's Max HP/CP is increased by +5%. (This adds to their total Max HP/CP upon summoning)
The Contract gains +3 Melee/Ranged/Ninjutsu Accuracy, +3 Genjutsu DC, +3 Melee/Ranged/Ninjutsu Dodge, or +3 Gen Save. (User may only choose one for their contract to receive. Ex. You do not gain +3 Melee and Ninjutsu Accuracy you may only choose one of the buffs)

Special Action - Symbiotic Relationship: By paying 2 AP and 4% Max HP/CP from both the user and the contract the user may have one of the following effects happen.
The user may reduce their Secondaries by -1 to give their contract +2 Secondaries.
The Contract may reduce their secondaries by -2 to give the user +1 Secondaries.

Notes:
- The user can teach up to a maximum of 3 people the secrets of their contract. The user being taught may roleplay to obtain the contract instantly after approval from the Contract Team, but cannot enter the contract realms prior to owning the contract of that realm. Players that obtain contracts this way may not use this ability to teach others after them. Only 1 person may be taught at a time, after which a 2 month wait is required to teach again.
- The user may only use Symbiotic Relationship with one Contract Summon at a time.
- Symbiotic Relationship lasts for two full rounds, and requires one full round of cool-down before it may be used again.
- The cost of Symbiotic Relationship may not be reduced by any means.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="Defensive Technique"]This ability allows you to defend more efficiently. With this ability you can reduce damage taken, block attacks, and tire your enemy out.

Effect:
- When in defensive mode, the player receives -1 to accuracy per +1 to dodge instead of the normal +2 dodge -4 Accuracy defense penalty.
-The maximum amount of dodge for accuracy they may swap is 4.

[spoilername="Cursed Seal"]Fuuinjutsu is a powerful shinobi art and none more so than the sealing techniques which are commonly referred to as "Cursed Seals". Such seals forcibly draw out the chakra of the user in a dangerous, often agonizing way, in exchange for a brief period of heightened power. Though this may grant them extraordinary capabilities for a period of time, those that are incautious with the use of their seal often find themselves doomed as a result.

Personal Cursed Seal Effect:
Raise Ranged Accuracy
Start each round automatically in Stealth; but cannot re-enter stealth during a round or be mistaken for a clone.
+5% Sneak Attack Chance (Attacks will be considered sneak attacks; if activated on a normal sneak attack, it will not drop the user from stealth.)

- The Curse Seal must be active to grant its effect. A Curse Seal costs no AP to activate (it only needs to be declared), but takes the timing of 2 AP to come into effect. Each round active the user's CP Modifier is reduced by 6.

Notes:
- This Ability may only be obtained under certain conditions.
You personally own the Cursed Sealing (Non-elemental B-Rank Ninjutsu).
You have been sealed by someone who owns the Cursed Sealing Jutsu in an RP Topic.
- Once obtained on a specific character, that character may learn and unlearn this ability just like any other.
- The Cursed Seal must be created in the user's Dojo upon learning this ability. This may be changed as if remaking a weapon.
- A player may take this ability multiple times to create multiple seals; but only one cursed seal may be active at a time.
- May not move Evasion and Genjutsu Save to High.
- May not obtain Kinjutsu or an Ability through Cursed Seal.
- Once de-activated, the user can no longer activate Cursed Seal for the battle.
- CP Modifiers reduced by the Cursed Seal are permanent for the battle unless otherwise stated.
- The user and their attacks are considered 'Dark' while the Curse Seal is active.
- Upon gaining a Cursed Seal or using it in battle, the user incurs a Recovery Time of two weeks in which they are unable to use the Cursed Seal in any new modded battles.[/spoilername]

[spoilername="Jutsu Expansion"]To be able to break a jutsu's limitations and have it act as though it wasn't limited simply to all assumed limitations is the sign of a true master.

Information:
Prerequisites: B-Rank

Effect: Allows the user to increase the rank of a Jutsu and all associated effects with it. Jutsu AP cost is increased by .5AP.

The new OOC rank jutsu (ex: E to D) gain the following values in order of D/C/B/A.

Offensive Jutsu - Damage gains 630/650/2400/2950
Barrier Jutsu - Barrier health gains 565/585/2160/2655
Clone Jutsu - Hp/Cp % increase 10/5/5/10, Increased accuracy of 2/1/3/3

For all the above:
Chakra cost gains 200/280/1470/2000
Secondary Effect % chance gains 6/3/15/27

Note:
- May be used once per round.
- Taijutsu damage and Chakra values gained from this ability are lowered by 25%
- Puppet damage and Chakra values gained from this ability are lowered by 40%
- Genjutsu damage and Chakra values gained from this ability are lowered by 50%
- This ability cannot be used with BL/CA/Kinjutsu moves.
- This ability only works with initially B Rank and lower jutsu.
- The jutsu counts as 1 ooc rank higher and receives all associated restrictions. Eg. B-Rank jutsu being used with this ability will count as an A-Rank jutsu and cannot be used with other abilities or effects which require a B-Rank jutsu or below.[/spoilername]

Healing Factor
While everyone possess a natural recuperation rate, recovering over time with rest, there exist many who tend to just...keep coming back for more, and don't learn when to give up. Persistent to the end, It is hard to keep those with this trait down for long before they spring back up, regardless of the injury.

Information:
Prerequisites: D Rank

Effect:
- The user gains 3% Max HP at the end of each round.
- All Medical Jutsu are +10% more effective on the user.

Special Action - Quick Healer: At the end of a round the user may choose to pay CP equal to 5% of the damage done to the player during the round, to regain 5% of the HP lost by the player during the round.

Willpower
This ability allows a user to fight the effects of Genjutsu with the naked strength of their will. Those with stronger determination will be able to dispel illusions more readily than those with weaker minds.

Information
Prerequisites: Cancel Jutsu Mastered

Effect: The Cancel Jutsu may now apply to Genjutsu of any level as long as the user is aware of it effecting them. If a user affected by a Genjutsu but unaware of it, and casts Cancel, Cancel now has a 30% chance of taking effect anyway.

Notes:
- Cancel may automatically dispel Genjutsu up to C-Rank, and no longer has a penalty against higher level Genjutsu.
- Cancel no longer requires handseals, and may be used as a free action once per round.

Summoner
Fabricating beings created solely through chakra may seem to be a mystical feat, but to those with this skill it becomes second nature. These shinobi are able to conjure their own familiars with enhanced control & more fluid movement and utilize these fabrications far more efficiently than other shinobi can.

Information
Prerequisites: 2 Creation Jutsu Mastered

Effect:
- A Creation's HP and CP are +5% Higher.
- The user may now have two different Creation Jutsu active at once; however, the second Creation Jutsu will be treated as Rank 1.

Special Action: The user may cast two Creation Jutsu simultaneously. All costs and rules remain the same, but they are modded with the timing of the higher AP jutsu. This special action does not prevent the use of other special actions.

Notes:
- If a Creation's HP and CP would be 20% of the user's Maximum CP, then it would be instead 25% of the user's Maximum CP.
- - This ability may not be taken with the Bushin Slayer ability, and vice-versa.

Stalker
With peak agility and dexterity, the user is a master in the arts of stealth, whether it be used for assassination of a kage or simply to get a juicy peak inside the female Hot springs. Whichever the goal, one cannot deny the finesse of one able to sneak past Ninjas undetected.

Information
Prerequisites: D-Rank

Effect: Once every other round, the user may perform a Sneak Attack without being dropped out of stealth. When making a stealth check, Terrain and Visibility modifiers are treated one level higher in the users favor.

Notes:
- This only applies when the user is making a stealth check; not when they are making an awareness check to detect someone.
- Binds and A-Rank Techniques may not be used with Stalker.


Free med branch ability: Paramedic
Medical shinobi who have studied long and hard on various methods for emergency healing techniques. They have gained skills above the norm for medical shinobi and it shows in their ability to use healing techniques in a quick pulse like manner.

Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank

Effect:
- The user requires -1 round to enter a battle that contains someone from their village below 50% Max Hp. The user must still be called as usual, however.
- Once per round, the user may pay an additional +30% of the chakra cost to increase the HP healed with a medical jutsu by 1.5x. This may only be used on an ally below 50% Max Hp.

Notes:
- The first effect takes effect at any time when the player is entering the thread (Eg. Mednin is 1 round into entering the thread and in the second round a member of their village drops to below 50% of their Max Hp, the Mednin will join 1 round early).
- The second effect may not be used on jutsu that are being maintained or used offensively.

Shinobi 101 Kinetic Gen to Nin accuracy
A shinobi's skills are always evolving and growing. As they become more skilled with the various methods and ways of manipulating chakra those with the makings of an exceptional shinobi eventually find unique ways to wield their chakra.

Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank

Effect: Choose one jutsu sub-type (Fire, Slashing, Offensive puppet, etc) to use with any one other accuracy of your choice. User may apply to change which sub-type of jutsu Shinobi 101 applies to once every 90 days via the normal process for an ability swap in their Dojo Forum.

Note(s):
- Shinobi 101 does not take up an ability slot.
- If the user select's a Base Element for Shinobi 101 then this ability's effects apply only to that Base Element and none of it's Advanced Elements.
- Shinobi 101 also applies to any checks made by jutsu of that type (I.E. a Ninjutsu bind cast with Genjutsu DC would check against the user's Genjutsu DC to maintain rather than the user's Ninjutsu Accuracy) but does not change the Evasion secondary which the attack checks against.

Name of Jutsu: Blood Vault

CRPJ's Effect: A technique that was initially born from Osu's fear of contaminating a water supply and built upon when he realized how useful it could be. Using a drop of his own blood as a focus, Osu pulls all the unattended blood in an area and it orbits around the drop of Osu's blood, with different people's blood forming their own orbs. At this point he can condense and crystallize the blood using much the same principal as his blood weapons except he can store them in a sealing scroll to save for later. This technique will serve as the base for a few future techniques. It is also useful for cleaning up the insane amounts of blood from an area from Osu's blood techniques. The blood he crystallizes is preserved to maintain its "freshness."

Example RP of how it will be used: Osu found himself standing in the center of where a terrible fight had occurred. Several people were dead, seven from what he could see, and he didn't see any survivors. It had been more than bloody enough from what he could see. It was a shame. Still he needed to get some idea of just what had occurred here. He held a palm out and a single bead of blood sweated out of his skin and went a good two meters into the air above it. He began looking around as he began to pull in. He made special attention to note which of the orbs were forming from the blood of the corpses around him and had them circle a bit farther away from the center. After a good minute there were 14 orbs in total. 9 of them much larger than the others. too much to live from, two of the deceased seemed to be closely related maybe siblings or parent and child. Three had been poisoned rather heavily. The pull had helped him find one more corpse he hadn't seen on the other side of a window. He took a small sample from each of the poisoned individuals to identify later and then dropped the orbs that were there drop on their former owners after he took a minute to figure out which was which. He stared at the remaining six. Five of those could very well still be alive, while the one was very likely dead but had been taken away. Very odd. He crystallized but a couple drops from the one large orb that remained and the entirety of the remaining five and sealed them in his Blood Vault scroll. He might be able to figure out who were the owners of the blood or find a tracker who could.

Reason why it cannot be used in battle: The technique doesn't really have offensive capabilities as hardened blood (especially that which isn't his own chakra filled variety) is far more difficult to control, the technique requires that he remains pretty still as he uses it, and takes about 15 seconds for him to get the blood droplet in place and his chakra to cover the area where he is pulling the blood from. He would be a complete sitting duck.

Name of Jutsu: Status Gem

CRPJ's Effect: Fresh blood gems created from an agreement sealed with an individual's blood reflect the general well being of that person so long as they are nearby. They are either uninjured, lightly damaged, damaged, heavily damaged, or dead represented by unblemished, scratched, cracked, heavily cracked and violently shattering respectively. A safety feature is that should someone enter a situation in which the body increases its output of chakra in preparation of fight or flight (the initiation of battle) the crystals will simply dissolve to prevent the risk of tracing or giving someone's position away.

Example RP of how it will be used: Osu pricked the client's and his teammates' fingers and had everyone shake hands with one another with his hands on top of the others' handshakes until everyone had a way of seeing the others were alright. Osu stayed with the client while the other two scouted off in different directions. The gem representing the more reckless of his teammates got a new light scratch here and there but it was space out by minutes and likely just meant he wasn't being careful about briers or something. Suddenly the gem representing the other teammate vanished altogether. He thrust the client into a hole in a tree trunk and rushed towards the direction his teammate was in at full speed.

The battle was fierce, and Osu had only barely managed to keep his friend alive until the third teammate arrived and turned the tide of battle. As he recreated their blood gems and healed them in the aftermath their blood gems reflected their relatively healed state. The battle had taken them quite the distance and they needed to get back to the client. However, not too long after they began heading back to where he was hidden all three of the unblemished gems that represented the client shattered. The attack that drew them away had been a distraction. The client had likely been dead for minutes.

Reason why it cannot be used in battle: The initiation of battle dissolves the crystal. Not only that but it doesn't show illusionary or mental damage, or if they are simply unconscious or captured. It also takes too long to make a gem to do it during battle. It also won't last more than a day or two and will simply fall apart without Osu around to put more of his chakra into the gem. The biggest problem is that if the person moves out of range the gem it will no longer change to represent the subject's health until you reenter range. Even with Osu's maintenance the longest a gem will last is a week.

CRPJ's Effect: Allows Osu to perform mostly one way, yet silent and almost unjammable communication with teammates that he has injected his blood into over a couple miles. (One Topic Limit)

Example RP of how it will be used: Osu sat alone on the watch tower looking down over the forest. He was in charge of this scouting mission with a small team of three newer genin. He scanned the forest as best as he could knowing the search pattern he laid out for them. Some odd phenomenon of a nearby mountain's magnetic field had rendered their headsets useless. He took his finger and started writing on his arm, blood leaving letters behind where his fingers had touched his skin where it read.

So far so good it seemed and the blood seeped back under his skin like he knew it would for the others. After another moment of thought he wrote another message on his arm for them to return so they could make camp for the night. So far the mission was proceeding as quietly as expected...

Reason why it cannot be used in battle: It technically could I guess but in battle the enemy knows you are there already and it takes a few seconds and one of his hands writing on his other arm to make a message and they would have to take the time to read it. Not only that but he has to initially use the technique for any information to be returned. It wouldn't be very efficient. This technique requires Osu to replace the old blood with fresh chakra filled blood every few days.

Name of Jutsu: Library Card

CRPJ's Effect: Due to some issues that came up after being betrayed by the Marquess of the Eleven Moons, breaking into the country's Super Maximum security prison, and general Titan shenanigans Osu got a library filled with several generations' worth of money records, reports, land deeds, blackmail and in general behind the scenes strictly hush hush info stuffed into his noggin by absorbing the information from a Memoria. As it turns out he himself can work very much like a memoria now. By cutting oneself and making contact with Osu, requiring all parties be willing to establish a mental connection, Osu can bring others into his noggin to peruse the library or chat with both Osu and Uso in person, so to speak.

Some general not so much rules but laws as to how the place works.

1. Everyone, including Osu and Uso are unable to access chakra inside the library. No bloodline abilities or enhanced physical abilities or anything. Basically you are an image of yourself.

2. Anyone can take a book off the shelf. But to open one you need the permission of one of the librarians, in other words Osu or Uso or unless you yourself are the author.

3. As mentioned in the previous, one can contribute information if they so choose. The library always seems to have spare blank books, pens and ink. NOt to mention shelf space. All the books are the same size closed, but once opened they have just enough pages for what is recorded. Unless one is the author, books cannot be written into and even then after they have been closed an author cannot edit the pages that were already there, only add new ones.If one focuses really hard they can create a vague illustration on the page of a book but it would likely turn out clearer to simply attempt to draw the image.

4. There always appears to be a warm pot of tea and a cup when it is desired though it won't provide your actual body with nutrition. No idea why either.

5. Anyone can break the connection at will, meaning people can't be kept in the library, and either of the librarians can kick people out.

6. Time passes the same inside as it does outside and in no way does it replace rest. If the visitor's body becomes particularly tired or hungry the visitor won't be able to maintain the connection.


Example RP of how it will be used: Osu looked at his two companions for the mission who were on the other side of the table. They were in a private booth at a tavern about 200 miles from home and it was at this point he was supposed to share with them the details of the mission. Still as loud as the tavern was and how private their booth they couldn't take any risks. Osu looked at the others and held his hands out over the table. "Cut your finger and grab ahold of one of my hands, then relax," he directed them. One seemed confused but wasn't far behind the one who simply nodded and did as told. Both felt like something was being pulled from them before suddenly they found themselves in a library. Before them they would see Osu and a girl with a disapproving look on her face. "Always bringing people into my library, Osuteno just make it quick and get your face out of here."

"Don't mind Uso, she just hates people. Over here to the closest table." Osu lead them to where a few books were already open and spread out across the table. One had the objectives and background information of their mission, while another had an extremely detailed map of the surround area with key locations marked. "I had to stare at the map for a solid hour while Uso copied it. Incredibly picky, though that is helpful with these sorts of things. We only have about 15 minutes before our food is likely to be done so let's try to get through the briefing in that time."

Reason why it cannot be used in battle: Because it takes a good minute to establish a willing mental connection and any disturbance from the outside like shaking someone's shoulder immediately ends the connection.
