Name: Chikamatsu Ayame
Age: 12 years old
Physical Description: Ayame has large attentive, deep-violet eyes, just barely covered by bangs that go across her forehead. Matching colored hair flows straight down, reaching her waist. She is 5'2, with a slim physique, and fair skin. Her appearance always neat and structured, typically wearing variations of a school uniform blouse and skirt.
Mental Description: Ayame is very attentive and strives to be the best in what she practices. She's very determined to succeed, her motivation stems from wanting to be useful to others, and because of that, she is always extremely hard on herself when she fails. Deep inside, she worries that if she's not good enough or useful, no one will want to keep her around. She has a spunky and somewhat feisty personality, always throwing out bits of sarcasm, but has a very caring heart that she's hesitant to show. Ayame comes off as a strong person and very put together, never letting her emotions get the best of her or affect her work. Among her peers she tends to be bossy and naturally tries to take a leadership role. She has a little bit of an ego, and some may think she's a know-it-all, but she just thinks they're jealous. Her outer shell is reinforced by the walls she keeps up around herself, never allowing herself to ask for help or appear weak to others.
History: Ayame comes from a family of 6 of the Chikamatsu Clan located in Sunagakure. Her mother, Tsunami, became a single mother to her 4 children, after Ayame's father, a medical ninja named Kaito, was killed during a mission when Ayame was 8 years old. Ayame being the eldest daughter, became the main caretaker of her siblings while her mother engulfed herself in her work to distract from dealing with her own grief.
Her father, who had the ability to manipulate water, had always hoped that at least one of his children would share the same ability, and his wish was granted when Ayame was 5, and was seen directing the rain to form a big puddle for her to stomp around and play in. They were the only two in their immediate family who possessed the power to control water. From there on, he tried to train and practice with Ayame to hone her abilities. He could tell that she would one day become a force to be reckoned with, with how easily and rapidly she was improving her new found skill at such a young age. With only 3 years of practice before the loss of her father and only teacher, she was not very confident and at times felt lost about her abilities. But, with it being the only connection she has left of her father, she vowed to not give up and continue to work to perfect her abilities and learn in hopes of reaching her father's capabilities. Every time she feels the flow of water, she feels as though her father is right there with her, guiding and protecting her. She's hoping to one day combine the two things that remind her of her father together, water and healing, and learn the skills to heal with water as the ultimate way to connect with him and fill the void that has remained since he left.
For the last 4 years Ayame has been forced to mature beyond her peers mentally, due to the lack of her mother's presence. Now that they are older, she is able to focus on her studies and dreams, which is to follow in her father's footsteps in being the best medical ninja she can hope to be, one that would make her father proud and perhaps gain the recognition and praise from her mother she so desperately is after.
