Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A day just like any other, at least; it felt that way. Shieo was standing in the middle of one of the booked rooms of the Dojo-Annex System, an unusual opportunity to utilize for a substitute-specialist teacher like himself. The rooms of the Dojo-Annex were unique in the sense that they utilized a collaborative effort of chakra, area-genjutsu and relatively state-of-the-art steam technology to simulate different environments, situations and otherwise an extremely versatile set of rooms to safely condition their students.
Having come quite a bit earlier than the expected rendezvous time for all the students; gave him ample time to configure the knobs, bippity-bops and levers to help design the physical lay-out of the facility. With some background on two of the students based off personal experience, and a detailed description of what they needed the children to practice; gave him a fairly solid idea of what he would need to do. Unfortunately, he figured there might be some challenges involved, as with any teaching job. With all this in mind, the walls shifted in loud grinding noises as it spread out; the ground created a large bowl-like shape and begun to fill up with water. Hissing steam erupted for a few moments while fans begun to churn to mimic wind-conditions. And then the walls, ground and the like all started to shift to take account for the visuals. Replicating the sight of a noon-day, the wind was gentle but present, the grass was lush and green; trees spanned in all 360° around the center-piece. Which was a large, gorgeous and clear lake.
Training students? Or designing a vacation? The deep, grinding voice entered his mind; met with a slight twitch of his left half-lidded eye. Nothing wrong with both, and that's where you come in. What's that supposed to mean?

Shieo didn't respond, merely smiling to himself. As he sat down on the grass, cross-legged and started looking through the dossiers one last time. Confirming small bits of information; names, skills, what their aim-goals were for the session and the like. At first glance, it looked like their needs were entirely clashing with one another; but he had figured what was to come could serve the best course for development, and could serve as a substantial founding point for two of the youngsters; who were as noted on the verge of advancing through their soon-to-come Genin tests. Exciting for them he figured.
After a few hours past, his watch beeped and cued that he should be ready. So he got up, filed away his belongings and walked out about fifty-feet onto the water surface. A gentle blue-glow of chakra hummed underneath his feet while he stood awaiting their arrival.

Upon their arrival. His half-lidded, dour-eyed expression was ever present. Two of them, may have already been sadly accustomed to this factor. And when he spoke, it was in a droll monotone manner; almost like a sixty-year old professor; he was however, very clear in what he was saying. Spoken loud enough for all of them to hear and understand, if they cared to listen. His posture was nothing incredible, in-fact it wouldn't be a surprise if he visited a chiropractor on the regular; given he was slouching, his foot placement was untidy and he didn't carry himself very well in general.

"Welcome, I am Shieo; I'll be serving as your general instructor for the day. We will be employing two valuable skills. Notably, water-walking and difficult terrain evasion." Bringing his right closed fist to his mouth coughing twice. "There will be no risk of fatal or maiming harm in today's lesson, and anything involved you can be rest assured you will not feel for much longer than this lesson."

"Without further delay. We will begin with you all getting out about ten-feet from me. Utilizing a similar methodology to tree-climbing; you will devout a portion of chakra to the soles of your feet. And expel the chakra in a constant and adaptive manner to push your body above the level of water. As you step, you will notice that the water will move. And when the wind hits it; again it will move. You will slowly learn to adapt to the flow with your chakra as an extension~ And of course, take your time I do have all day. And you all have had your days assigned to me, so don't sweat having to learn at your pace. Heh; at least one of you knows that though." He had given a momentary gaze towards Siu, Suika and Eishi. "A quick tip, the Ram seal helps a lot with earlier means of focusing." He would take the time to present the simple seal for them to replicate. "Beyond that, give'er hell. I get paid regardless of how long it takes you, challenges are up to the three of you. Once you're out here, stage two will begin." And so he gave them all a thumbs up; shortly followed by fishing out a sucker, plopping it in his mouth. Drawing either hand to his pant pockets and watched them with dull eyes.
After the three, hopefully. With minor involvement of Shieo's instruction granted them the minimal competency to walk, run and perhaps get as far out as him. "Congratulations..." You think he was likely trying to sound happy for them, and he seemed genuine. But tonal-fluctuations weren't really a thing for him to begin with, so there's that. Way to instill excitement. Eh,
that's where you come in.

....What?

Clearing his throat. "I did say there was an evasion practice. And I'm hoping the three of you were aware enough to notice, there was ah~~ Distinct lack of that during this first bit, huh." Clapping either of his hands together once. "So, you'll be dodging Bahamut today. He's big, fat and generally speaking slow to the punch. Or I will make him, at least; so no harm. But it will certainly be interesting for the three of you." Still, not a single tonal-decibel shifted. It was almost as bad as nails to a chalkboard; or at least he figured that was the case.
He then pointed up.

At that moment, a darkened shadow cast over the landscape and swirled towards the lake. And in seconds; a ear-shattering roar crashed across the waters causing them to wave gently. With the flutter of massive wings; came colliding into the water a rather massive draconic beast; standing on its hind-legs it stared at the three with intrigue.
DxOdJBR.jpg

"So I'm to toy with your kids, hn..." Shieo looked over his shoulder, giving a gentle shrug. "I mean, I guess? Nothing bad though; we're just practicing balance and dodging, And I'm not as ... Uh~ 'Boom' as you are. Y'know? Good~ I'll be over there." Shieo had thumbed towards the land, where a sun-chair and magazine were awaiting for him. And he began to walk away, waving gently. "Good luck and all!... You can attack him if you want, I guess."

And so the Dragon focused it's eyes on the three of them. And with little hesitation lifted its small-ship sized claw and sent it crashing towards them. Slow enough to dodge, but fast enough to make the water really wave.

Game on

This day was going to start off pretty fast, wasn't it? Seemingly before I was even in the class, the Instructor had taken liberties to change this obstacle course into his own design. It betrayed his monotone and gloomy nature slightly as had I been in his place I probably would never bother with something this elaborate as a setup, though I have met enough uncaring adults to brush it off as normal. It seemed I was the first to arrive, and while the instructor noted I was there, he was going to wait for the rest of the students to show up before he spoke. Most likely he just didn't want to repeat himself I figured before shrugging and deciding to take the time to prep myself as I waited. I took a seat on the ground digging through my bags quickly and methodically. I took my time reapplied some fresh gripping tape onto the very butt of my spear while also checking the basis of my current supplies. I was always for over-preparing or at least preparing for what to expect. Surprises were generally not favorable to the victim, and if I could help it, I didn't want to be on the blunt end of an unforeseen event.

As the other two students arrived, I would notice one of them was someone I had met before, Some weeks ago we had done a mission together with a wild boy named Kyo. Good times... I mused to myself only half joking as I recalled when the three of us had first met and proceeded to break a whole bunch of the bones in my body. I nodded my head and dryly smiled at Siu before going back to my prepping. The other student I had never met before, so I brushed them off as a stranger.

Once Shieo actually explained what the class would entail, I grimaced thinking that I may have gotten the wrong class, moaning under my breath without much forethought."Water walking, really?".

I shut myself up real quick like before nonchalantly making the necessary hand seals on my one hand, walking out to the point the instructor told us to station ourselves in the middle of the lake. Once the other two students had done the same, either taking their time or already having a good grasp of the skill already, I was about to do a 'So There' motion with my arm, but Shieo spoke before I could even move.

I listened to his explanation, finding myself smiling despite my slight annoyance. Alright this sounds more like an actual class. Between Hoshi and this guy, these instructors have absolutely no chill I assumed more accurately than I may have realized, speaking to the instructor as I readied my weapon. "I assume we have to stay on the water?".

Whether he bothered to answer or not, I just wanted him to verify it. The last thing I wanted was this to be some trick test where he goes 'haha, dummy you could've moved back onto land the whole time'. I was also noting my affinity for lightning. If I couldn't use it out on the water, I wasn't really all that worried as it was just a small piece of my repertoire, but I didn't need to tell the instructor that.

Once I saw the claw coming down towards us, I quickly moved out of the way, the movement slow when something so large attempts to do a quick motion. Perspective and all that. I did, however, note that it was likely to create a large wave and decided to try something fun. I quickly unholstered my wooden short spear and put it on the face of the lake. The bouyancy of the wood doing well to keep it afloat. I rapidly 'glued' my feet to the spear like a surfboard along with keeping my water walking steady on the surface tension of the water. It allowed me to keep myself upright as rode out the wave, shaking a shaka hand sign at the instructor as I zipped by his location.

Siu entered the facility with a cheery smile and enthusiastic stride. The beauty of the illusionary scenery took her by great surprise; it was far more impressive than her previous trainings at the obstacle course nearby the academy, and the forest near the village she often spent her time in. Her eyes admired the surrounding view with awe, absorbing it all in. Not too far aways, she would spot a noticeable figure; the young, one armed boy she'd meet sometime ago within the forest. Her eyes lit up upon seeing the familiar face, as she approached the boy with a elongated, "Hiii!" and cheerful wave. The boy smiled dryly, but it didn't seem to bother her. Though, she decided not to allow her immediate excitement to get the best of her, as the younger boy seemed quite busy with his preparations, and she didn't want to interrupt him.
A second girl entered, tan skinned and younger than her. Siu's eyes curiously examined the unfamiliar face for quite a bit, before making a shy, yet friendly smile. She remembered the younger boy spoke about taking his Genin exam soon, just like Siu was; Yet, this new girl, Siu knew absolutely nothing about, and therefore couldn't guess whether she was still early in the academy phase, or also on the verge of graduation like them. "Hello," She spoke rather tonelessly to the younger girl; a result of great anxiousness and shyness, rather than disinterest. "I'm Siu." She continued dryly, her eyes making an awkward, robotic-like gaze. She seemed to be speaking extremely cautiously, as if going through great lengths to make sure that she didn't somehow offend the unfamiliar girl in any way.

Making her way closer to the lake, she gave a formal and respectful bow to the familiar instructor, standing farther into the lake. "Good afternoon, Instructor Shieo!" She greeted respectfully, before the older shinobi would began his introduction and explanation of the day's task.

"Water walking? The young girl repeated in her mind, in the midst of the older man's explanation. Her facial expression seemed rather pleased by it's introduction, for it had not been too long ago, that this very same instructor had taught her how to control and maintain her chakra through a lesson in tree climbing. While there were obvious differences between the two task, such as consideration of the water movement and the effects of the the wind, the general concept was overall still the same. If one could tree climb, they could also water walk, and vice versa.

It wouldn't be too long after the explanation, before the young academy student could be seen placed her hands together in order to form the ram seal. However, to her surprise, the younger boy had taken to the forefront, seeming to have a much firmer gasp of the concept, far better than herself. Blinking a few times, she pondered if he had either practiced this technique beforehand on his own, or perhaps also learned it from someone else, like herself.
Refocusing back upon her hand seals, she closed her eyes, standing there a few moments in order to concentrate her chakra to the soles of her feet; something that she was greatly familiar with by now. Shortly after she had gathered as much chakra as she deemed necessarily in order to move forward with her task, she took one of her feet, and placed it lightly upon the lake; a testing phase by her, a trait she'd picked up through her previous experienced failures. The water beneath her testing foot abruptly splashed upward, causing to girl to turn around and jerk back, as the splash caught her face. Wiping her eyes in annoyance, she realized that she had again been guilty of committing her most common mistake once again; too much chakra concentration.
Re-concentrating her efforts with a repetition of the hand seal, she went for a second attempt, this one seeming to be more progressive than her first. Pressing her foot more completely upon the water surface, in order to gauge whether she'd fall through it or not, she eventually committed her second foot. A proud smirk appeared upon her face, as she carefully took a few more steps out into the lake. With that, she made a rather slow, yet steady walk towards the other succeeded individuals of the group.

Looking back up at the instructor with an accomplished expression, she found herself returned with his rather dull, "Congratulations..." Dull indeed, and not the most motivating of statements, yet by now she'd spend enough time with the man in order to understand and get used to his personality, so it didn't bother her.
"Baha..mut?" The girl repeated back? Though the instructor had given a brief explanation of the entity, Siu still found herself baffled by what exactly a 'Bahamut' was. Unfortunately, she would soon receive her answer. The shadow itself was enough to send chills down the girl's spine, before she'd even looked up to view entirety of the figure of the massive creature now looming over the three like death itself. The sound of the ear shattering roar simply worked to add massive anxiety to an already greatly distraught heart.

"Good~ I'll be over there."

"Wai---!" The girl attempted to protest in reply to the statement, her eyes noticeably watery. She wanted to cry; Not out of a sadness, but out of great fear. Though, the instructor had already established in the beginning that no fatal risk would take place, it didn't make the massive creature looming over the three small bodies any less fearful of an entity for her.
At the greatly alarming warning sound of air breaking, due to the forceful swinging of an incoming oversized claw, the young girl, rather than dodging the swing in the general, acrobatic, and ninja-like manner most shinobi would, dodged the massive attack in her own unique way. A 'plop' was heard, as the girl could suddenly be seen slipping right into the water, as she quickly released the chakra under her feet, allowing herself to drop into the lake and into safety. Her hair whooshed as the claw narrowly missed over her. The action looked akin to a mole suddenly retreating and hiding into the ground. A few seconds passed before the girl's head could eventually be seen peering cautiously up and out the water, as she made efforts to bring herself back to standing back ontop of the water's surface again, now dripping and soaking wet. After all, the instructor had said 'terrain dodging'. He didn't specifically state they had 'remain' constantly stay above water while doing so.

“Ugh, this feels so uncomfortable...”

Suika frowned as she gazed into the mirror. She opted out of her normal gypsy dress attire in exchange for traditional kunoichi gear. It wasn't really her choice; her guides, the Tweedles, pressured her into it. “Suika, darling, you need to get out of those street rags and dress like a true, proud shinobi of Cloud Village! Plus, it'd make classes and training easier, too.” They had a point. Minus the headband, she definitely looked like a cardboard cutout of your typical shinobi. The gear itself made her feel a bit more dangerous and less to be reckoned with, but another side of her remained sentimentally attached to her typical performing dress. “Hm, how about some compromise?” She slipped on a peach sweater over her outfit. “Perfect.”

The young gypsy girl made her way to the grand Aurora Eruditio. She had paid a visit before for a standard physical, screening, and initial skill assessment, but she was now attending the site as a full-fledged student of Kumogakure. She was normally guided by her two brawny, yet flamboyant tour guides everywhere she went, but they finally, to her relief, left her off the hook today. A shinobi in training didn't need too much babysitting, especially not on the way to the academy. Speaking of which, today was also Suika's first day of class. She had some tutoring prior to this on the concept of chakra manifestation and control, but didn't really have the slightest clue of what to expect. Suika rehearsed several scenarios in her head and imagined strategic approaches to each. In her eyes, being prepared was key when entering the unknown. She was also ready to adapt, if need be.

Upon entering the complex, Suika was navigated toward a very specific dojo-annex within the building towards the obstacle courses. As she made her way inside the assigned room, her magenta eyes glowed as she began to scan the every nook and crevice in the course. The set up in the room appeared pretty elaborate. Whoever had designed this was probably someone who who had great eye for detail. That's what she thought until she saw him. “Grumpy man...” her eyes fixated on him for a second. Part of her felt a bit of admiration and inspiration from him due to the, what she suspected, illusional prowess he exhibited. Another part of her still wanted to rip his head off. So she did what she'd normally do in such a situation – she released a cheery smile and hopped to her place exuding a type of gentle confidence. She didn't really make eye contact with the man, but she wasn't avoiding so either. She decided she'd just play it off and pretend as if they never met. Suika also noticed the presence of two other students. She gave them a nod and a small wave. The one-armed boy didn't acknowledge her much, which she didn't mind, and the other girl, more fair than herself looked a bit older, returned with a friendly, slightly awkward response. It was rare for the young gypsy to meet others around her own age group. Part of her felt warm to the idea of getting to know other kids and connect socially; another side of her felt mistrusting and knew that'd be a potentially risky idea. She returned the girl's robotic greeting with her own cheery one. “I'm Suika.” That's all she felt comfortable revealing for now.

“Water-walking...” she thought as the Mr. Tired Grumps, now identified as Shieo, gave an explanation of their current objective. Having been barely introduced to the topic of chakra control recently, she wasn't aware of her full capability in that realm. She observed the others before making her own move, hoping to lean in on their experience and take in the best form of action. The one-armed boy trailed effortlessly toward the professor. Clearly he had this in the bag. The girl introduced as Sui, however, had some trouble at first. Suika silently observed her movements and, without trying to draw attention, mimic'd her technique. She made a ram sign and concentrated her chakra to her feet. From what she read, balance, control, and a basic attunement to one's chakra flow was required. With deep focus, she executed everything she had read and observed into action.

“This is not so bad.”

Although a bit awkward at first, every step became relatively easier for the tan-skinned girl. Soon enough, she found herself taking a slight lead in front of Siu. As Suika passed her, she gave the girl a reassuring nod as to say “You got this.” She never really felt the need to encourage anyone before, but she considered it more as a token of appreciation for the observational data she collected off Siu's initial attempts. She was a physical learner, and Siu's careful approach earlier at water-walking definitely aided in her success.

Once the three reached Mr. Tired Grumps, who clearly lived up to his name after his dull exhortation, he revealed information about their next task. Before Suika could digest his words, a giant shadow monster, dubbed Bahamut, was summoned. After an initial momentary shock, the girl simply rolled her eyes. Normally, she'd have been more frightened at the sight of such a creature, but she knew Shieo had a few good tricks up his sleeve. She theorized this was just one of his many potential gimmicks. With an amused grin, she readied herself to dodge the monster's attack and manage the terrain she was in. Her preparation, however, was short-winded. Bahamut didn't really give time for any strategic planning; he went on the offense immediately. As he crashed his claw down, Suika, being a proficient acrobat, somersaulted backwards in attempts to dodge. Upon her success, a huge tidal wave, caused by the monstrous force of the creature, rushed right toward the group of students. Without much thought, she dove under and into the heart of the wave, in flow of it, to break through. Once pierced out, she'd land on her knees, immediately shake herself off, and ready a defensive stance on her feet. In position, she was a bit scattered from the others, but having distance from one another, especially with this colossal beast in front of them, was probably the best way to avoid his attack. If they were grouped up, they'd probably get knocked out in one fell swoop. Or so she calculated.

Upon the excitement incurring for the three; Shieo had found himself laying back on the sun-chair, holding the magazine for Fishing-Sports Illustrated and flipping through it with idle interest. Having glanced up every once in awhile to see how the three were fairing.
Sadly he saw Eishi woosh by with a silly childish hang-loose. Giving a momentary arch of his brow; he looked up to Bahamut. And pointed at Eishi. "He's relying on tools outside of himself and the environment. Even the playing field; we're here to practice environment evasion. Not surfing." "Yes, I get it." Eishi would be met with, a surprisingly fast and coordinated motion Bahamut's tail diverted and swung down into the water; lifting Eishi out of the water and throwing him towards the massive lake from the air. It was probably going to hurt a bit but not risking much more than shock.

Of course, with all this coming from Bahamut. The rest of the lake started becoming more and more tumultuous; causing several foot high-waves started getting formed and crashing towards the two non-targets; and Eishi given a bit more of a challenge in recovering and getting atop the water. And evading the following rippling crashes of water.
All during this, lil' old Shieo was flipping through the magazine; Aweh yeah, look at the rod on that one...

With the crashing sounds and destruction ensuing in the background, was certainly like home in chaos. "Come now! You three, perfect the dodging and give me your all!" The massive dragon bellowed with its earth-shattering voice, it's wings spurring around and increasing the velocity of winds, the cold water spraying around with intent on challenging the young students to fully improving themselves. Not only in water-walking, but the aptitude to adapt and use their chakra to a mastered level for this style. What will they do?

It did, in fact, hurt a bit. Like 'getting dunked onto the surface of a large body of water going in excess of 100 kilometers per hour' levels of painful. Quite frankly, I was surprised I survived. How did I survive that? How did the tail get under me so fast? I looked over my body thanking my own dumb luck that I didn't lose consciousness in the smack, noting despite the nasty fall I didn't seem to have any broken bones or even bruises for that matter. I was downright stumped for a dozen more seconds as I collected my head slowly drowning under the water's surface, then I was pretty damn angry. Oh god damn it. Why'd I have to draw the Gen teacher when I haven't even mastered cancelation?

I noticed that the dragon monster named butthole or something was in the process of getting back into the culling of the local class of fish in the man-made lake. I had to recover and surface again at some point and I wouldn't even have my spear with me this time around. From my experience, I knew I could last underwater for about three and a half minutes, taking into account I didn't get a full breath crashing into the lake I gave myself a minute and a half to stay on the safe side. Between now and my death, I need to find a calm in this watery hell.

After about another minute or so I saw my chance and quickly made my way back up to the surface of the water. I used the technique on my hands to get a firm grasp of the water's surface to pull myself up from. A year ago I'd have questioned how this works the way it does, but I had learned in the last year that ninjas were much like magicians, you can't explain the trick jutsu or it loses its magic chakra. The blind acceptance was easier to deal with anyway.

I questioned if I should say anything to the other students, but I didn't really see a point. This was mostly an individual exercise for the lot of them. It wasn't like you could help each other dodge. We could taunt the dragon if one of us got smacked into the water, but besides that, there wasn't really much to exchange.

As I regained my footing back on the surface of the water, I took in a deep breath before covering one of my nostrils and blowing hard enough to dislodge the water jammed into my sinuses. I took up a defensive pose, my mood turning serious as I dodged without the use of anything besides my two feets and some tenacity.

Their training continued.

Suika's eyes darted to her left as she saw a body fly and pummel into the water. She made a slight glance toward her right and noticed Siu standing a float. It must have been the boy. “That looked like it hurt. Poor kid.” Now was no time to dwell on sympathy – Shieo's giant whatever-it-was, Bahamut, was on the move. The gypsy girl continued to dodge any incoming attack as she paid mind to her environment. The monster's movements were slow enough to dodge without much effort, but the force of its hits stirred chaos on the wet terrain. Water splashed everywhere and waves continued to fly toward the young student. Due to her lack of experience in chakra control, especially on top of a liquid surface, Suika had minor mishaps here and there. She occasionally lost balance and, without the grace she usually possessed on land, struggled to keep on her toes. She also felt a bit winded. As a dancer in her previous trade, her physical stamina held strong throughout this exercise; however, her body, she figured, was feeling the weight of extended chakra use. In theory, this exercise wasn't so difficult, but all factors combined truly made it a challenge. As much as she hated to admit it, Shieo, AKA Mr. Tired Grumpy Pants, knew exactly what he was doing.

“Okay, Suika, it's time to adapt.” she noted to herself as she continued to dodge and balance on water with the aid of chakra. “At this rate, I'm going to sink like a rock. Physically, I'm fine, thanks to all those years of dancing, but-” she interrupted her own chain of thoughts as a light bulb went off. “Dancing!” she muttered as her expression grew more confident. She jolted backwards to create more distance between herself and the large beast. She began to tune out the distractions around her, such as fumbling peers, the irritable sight of Shieo relaxing away as they busted their butts, and Bahamut's terrifying, monstrous power. It was time to find her rhythm and do what she did best – it was time to dance. “Show time.”

In an initial stance that almost appeared meditative, Suika broke into an alternative flow of movement that was contrary to her previous motion. Her shift in stance was subtle enough that, with the untrained eye, appeared identical to the last. Anyone without, however, would notice the change immediately. Every step was purposeful, but it was also with more ease. Through this new method, she felt a stronger connection between her mind and body which increased her chakra control as she avoided any oncoming attacks. Her routine wasn't flawless; the gypsy girl had a few close calls occasionally. Though, her level of adaptation and sense of balance grew exponentially by the second.

Siu's eyes widened with great concern, as the massive creature slammed it tail into the water. She watched with horror, as the poor young boy sudden flew into the air, bringing two hands to her cheeks with a shocked gasp. The boys landing looked, without a doubt, violent. She hadn't a clue how much pain he had felt from the long drop, yet it certainly looked dramatic enough to greatly unsettle any concerned onlooker.

She was immediately tempted to run to the youth and check his condition, however, unfortunately she had her own problems to deal with, as the barrage of several waves could suddeny see seen incoming towards her direction. The young girl wasn't the most acrobatic of ninjas neither the most efficient in taijutsu, in order to gracefully perform any fancy flips or dodges, like the majority of other ninjas seemed so proficient at.
There was one thing she had become somewhat sufficient at by now, however, and that was chakra control. For lately, she'd been having many experiences which required her to effectively increase her efficiency with the skill, from tree climbing to roof climbing. As the waves came rushing towards her, a sudden reactive thought came to mind, one which she had never considered before. It was amazing how the mind tended to react in such ways, when a human being was pushed into a situation which required a person to forcibly adapt. Perhaps it was an animalistic instinctive thing.

Generally, over-distribution of her chakra always tended to have a negative effect, whether shattering trees and sending her into painful falls, or embarrassingly splashing water into her face. Yet a thought appeared; what if that same effect could be used positively?
Crouching downward for a few seconds, as a lion in preparation, she suddenly increased the chakra concentration under her feet, in conjunction with a timed jump. What followed afterwards was a trampoline like launch into the air, which sent the young girl right above and over the incoming wave. With that, it seemed her theory had proven correct; increasing the chakra flow below one's feet not only had the ability of completely embarrass it's owner in a serious of unfortunate accidents, but also the capability to add as an extra boost, in order to launch a person higher than they normally could through a normal jump.

"Whooe!" The girl noised aloud, her arms and feet dangling about in the air, revealing her inexperience with jumping at such heights, before she eventually began landing back down onto the lake. Landing with another crouch, she immediately launched herself back up in order to avoid yet another wave. There were no fancy flips or graceful spins in her jumps, yet the sloppily executed technique was getting the job done; she was dodging things.
Repeating the newly learned technique a few more times, she looked similar to a frog bouncing about the lake. A final dodging descent would cause her lightly hop and skip about the lake a few more involuntary times, before she was able to re-normalize her chakra flow again, in order to stand back up upon the lake properly. Seems today she'd learned something new. An accomplished and pleased look could be seen upon on her face immediately after the feat. However, as memory of the previous incident returned, that expression quickly changed into one of anger.

"You said there would be no risk of fatal harm!" She furiously condemned loudly to the instructor, in memory of the younger boy's traumatizing launch and fall. Her fury would be short lasted, however, as the dragon continued taunting and challenging the three children with his earth shattering voice and flapping of his massive wings which continued to greatly disturbed the waters.
The violent shaking of the lake, caused the young academy student to stumble quite a few times, as she continually struggled to adjust her chakra. If she had not experienced her recently previous trainings of chakra control, this task would've undoubtedly proved nigh impossible for her. To control and maintain a steady flow of chakra upon an unchanging surface was one thing, but to do so on constantly disturbed surface and moving terrain was entirely another. This experience was teaching the young academy student that chakra control was far more difficult to master, than she could have ever imagined.

Shieo eventually looked up from his magazine again, this occurred about when all the 'dust' settled. The waves and the wind somewhat calmed in the storm of what had already happened; and he eventually heard Siu call him out on the whole 'fatal' problem; to which he rolled his eyes, waving at her dismissively. "Don't worry, he's not dead~ See." without even looking up from his magazine; although notably the dragon had been looking at Eishi. "Perfectly fine. He's just going to feel like death for a few days."
Giving a gentle shrug, he flipped another page. "I mean, it's training in a sense. Endurance, sure; yeah." At this point, he sort of wiggled his butt. Adjusting himself and took a moment to look up and take into sight of what the three had decided on their plan of action for adequate evasive maneuvers; while it wasn't easily recognizable, Shieo was quite pleased with the fact that each of them were actively developing styles that worked with their talents, strengths and aided in compensating their weaknesses.

Of course, every style has a flaw... Hm-- While he mused the thought; he sat there and observed each one's movements, actions and placement to aid in their next and following reactions to the monolithic beast that existed with them on a semi-physical plane. It was pretty clear to Eishi that the beast known as Bahamut certainly hurt a lot, but it was making sure that it wouldn't cause any lasting damage to the students. But without a doubt, they would be sore after all this~ At least for a day or two.

In only moments, Bahamut's eyes met with Shieo's and merely replied; "Understood." As if there was a silent communication between the two. The beast made quick, decisive action with the three students; reading into their defenses, it was time to improve those defenses; forcing them to overcome situations that forced even their talents to strain and refine under pressure.
In Eishi's case; it was clear he had a strong fundamental understanding of the control of his chakra. But relied on the flow of action rather than the decisiveness that only he could initiate given the knowledge of what was occurring. Without giving way to the escape of underwater to buy-time, or the tools to deflect he was about to be forced to act quick on his feet and use the environment of colliding waters to act as walls and vantage points to evade what was to come. As he cleared himself of the deluge of water that struck through his system; near the Dragon's wings begun to churn ten white-orange balls of what seemed to excrete an enormous amount of heat. Each one sized around a volleyball; once they all gained momentum they begun to fire towards Eishi in sequence and scattered to cover grounds of traditional escape routes. Given their heat, it was easily to assume even once they collided with the water, they would simply evaporate it and bury into the water. Giving the spacing between each one, he would need to find a way to weave through each one while remaining surfaced to avoid being watered down and struck. He has the raw talent, but there is refining that needs to be done. Let's see how he works out this one...

Fluid, and her reserves have been resolute; but what happens when the pressure is added from a new environment. Understood.
While Eishi was being riddled with projectile evasion practice; Bahamut simultaneously conjured up a high-pressure water pocket where Suika was about to land. At the moment of her touching, the chakra felt a huge disturbance and unleashed a burst of energy underneath her. Due to this, it sent the young girl flying sky-high about eighty-feet. At the peak of her ascension; she would come to notice that five torrents of steady water beams were spiraling towards her in discord, each one didn't follow the other~ and all were set to target her. What would the young dancer do to seek out a safe descend. and the safety of the ground wasn't at her beck and call?

And then the fr- Frog... She's acting like a frog. Siu, could almost feel the judgement from the two. Nevertheless, it was apparent she had been devising a strength with her airborne behavior; Shieo felt slightly at blame for that particular piece, or of influence. And thus, Bahamut calculated her next significant jump and with a bat of his ferocious wings would send a huge gust to cause enough turbulence to send her off course and careening towards the water below. If she found herself attempting again; it would be met with yet another, exhaustive and forcing gust of wing-wind. How would she deal with the forces of the elements causing a strain in her choice of maneuvering? Curious; she has shown interesting aptitude with chakra. What will she do to break through? -- That goes for all three of them.

Oh shit, dodgeball, my game of choice~ I mused in my head as I got ready for the balls of death to come crashing in around me. If they hit the water, the balls would likely bellow up steam and reduce my vision of any more balls coming in. Best try and keep out in front of them then I nodded to myself mentally.

Once the first ball of fire came in, I got a real good feel for how fast they truly were. the first skidded by my right side, I could feel the heat on my skin under my clothing from the fire brushing by. I noted that my clothes didn't catch fire, but the friction and heat still felt like I had been burned regardless. I rapidly made myself skinny as I hissed at the pain, turning to face the majority of the fireballs in a coiled stance. I wasn't as caught off guard the second ball around, but just as I avoided it, the third was coming before I had a chance to reset. I was able to stop myself short but had to plant my hand on the water's surface to keep myself from falling over. From there I was forced to change my landing points or areas to dodge very carefully as one death ball that came directly at me would often be followed by two or more spheres of fire predicting my dodges.

I was beginning to enjoy myself with this little exercise. It was exhilarating if I was being honest, but I knew full well how badly one of these would hurt if they got even a partial glance on me, going as fast as they were. I was feeling pretty smug for my fast reflexes and dodgeball skills right now. I fell into this little game of preemptive dodging with the butthole beast.

They must have been doing well, apparently, because Bahamut took it up a whole ten notches.

“Shit.”

Suika witnessed her two peers being challenged by the monster's various attacks. Before she could analyze the situation and anticipate its next move, a strange, forceful energy sprang from her feet and skyrocketed the young gypsy into the sky. Her first thought? It's a good thing she didn't wear her dress today to class. The next? How the hell she was going to survive this.

As a previous dancer and acrobat in the low-esteemed Ringo's Emporium of Flavorful Fruits, Suika was well-adept at aerial movement and control. Never, however, was she ever eighty feet in the air with chaotic torrents of water being shot around her. If Ringo were here right now, he'd be thrilled by the sight of this occurrence and try to emulate it into a show. Anything for the quick cash grab, and always at Suika's expense. Nevertheless, there were more pressing issues to think about.

To say the gyspy girl was ill-equipped for this feat was an understatement. Being the rookie that she was, she had minimal control of chakra and had no learned jutsu in her arsenal. Aside from natural quick-thinking and intuition, she didn't have much to lean on. As the torrents of water sprang from the watery surface, her gut instincts were to maneuver away from them as quickly as she could. At this point, she didn't know which option was worse – falling to her death from an eighty foot distance or getting blasted by one of the many hydro pumps that surrounded her. She needed to escape, but she didn't know how.

“Escape... that's it.”

As she descended to her possible demise, a possible solution hit her. She was so fearful of hitting the surface below and the torrents of water that she instinctively avoided it – but what if she, instead of running from her environment, used it? Wasn't that the point of the exercise after all? True shinobi had to face many dangerous environmental manipulations from their opponents. Evasion wasn't always the answer, but adaptation was. At this point, Suika was about forty-five feet to the surface. She dove toward a beam of water and formed the ram seal. Gathering more chakra to her feet than the usual for water-walking, she shifted the lower part of her body toward ithe beam and pressed off the it toward another. Success! As soon as she reached the next, she did the same action and aimed slightly down a path of descent. She rinsed and repeated until she was ten feet from the ground.

Suddenly, another spurt of water had burst below her. Using the momentum she had from her human pinball strategy, she twirled away, but she wasn't able to completely dodge it. The current barely hit her enough to push her up another six to eight feet. She then continued to spiral downward until she crashed into the water.

“Ow.” she thought after her small body plunged into the water. It took her a few seconds to recover, but she eventually swam upward and poked her head out. Her strategy wasn't a complete success, but she survived; that's all she really cared for. She concentrated her chakra on her hands and pulled herself back onto the surface. She coughed out some water and breathed heavily in exhaustion. As much as she wanted to rest, Shieo's overgrown pet remained towering over the three students. She steadily, and with some strain, readied back into a defensive stance. She was operating off fumes at this point and it was surely visible. The young gypsy girl hoped she possessed enough steam to last until the end. She absolutely had to.

The serious of unique challenges presented to the other two students, caused Siu's face to shift into a expression of grave concern. Yet, once again, she did not have any time to focus upon the wellbeing of the others, for it that appeared that her instructor his the massive behemoth of an entity also had their own unique plans for her. She had gained certain pride for her newly discovered technique, despite how unorthodox and unusual it was. Yet, that pride was soon be brought down, as the massive creature began to make efforts to disturb the youth's newly learned method of escape, now rendering it useless.
With her latest jump, she suddenly found herself involuntarily and completely thrown off course by the massive gust of wind, and instead of re-landing in an intended position, found herself spinning about through air, and colliding into the water. Freshly re-soaked and heavily displeased, the girl quickly swam her way back up to the surface, brushing the first incident off as simple coincidence. However a second jump would prove that this occurrence was no mere coincidence, yet tactically timed. With another gust of wind, she went forcefully flying backwards in the water once again. Floating underwater for a few moments, her reascension would not be as swift as the previous time, as she allowed herself to float about a bit, in order to gain a few moments to collect her thoughts from the chaos above.

The new ordeal had, admittingly, left the young academt student quite stumped concerning her next mode of of action. "I can't continue using my jumps..." She began to deduct in her consciousness. "Everytime I attempt to, he throws another gust of wind..."

Her eyes motioned upward for a bit, at the faint sounds of chaos above muffled past the water's surface, as the the other two students struggled with their own challenges.

"I am the oldest, yet so lacking in comparison to most shinobi my age." She drifted off for the moment. "I am supposed to be a Genin soon, but oftentimes I feel so underqualified." Floating about in her pool of self-doubt, her mind reflected upon of her previously read books. It was about a struggling artist, who left his home country and set out to travel the world, in order to gain knowledge and understanding of different artforms worldwide and became a master of his trade. He was faced with many challenges and difficulties throughout his travels, and oftentmes his ventures seemed completely hopeless. Yet, despite all this, he accomplished his purpose; for with every experienced struggle, he grew in wisdom, continually discovering new methods to accomplish his goals when all hope seemed loss. There was a moral to be learned from this story, a reason as to why this struggling artist always overcame his multitude of seemingly hopeless struggles..

"Perseverance..." The young girl mused. That was right, the reason he had succeeded in accomplishing his purpose, was not because he was most wise, neither the most renowned or favored, but because of perseverance; he never gave up despite all the great difficulties he faced.

With that realization, the young academy student's once disheartened expression, suddenly shifted into a look of determination. Swimming back to the surface with newfound strength, she placed herself back upon the water's surface. As another set of opposing waves approached her, the girl crouched once again. Yet, this crouch would be much different from her previous crouching. Rather than preparing to crouch upward with her previous frog-like position, the young girl now crouched in a track runner-like position, preparing to dash forward this time, rather than upward.
Another opposing gust of wind appeared, in preparation for her next action. This time, however, she focused the chakra beneath her feet in order to propel herself as she dashed forward, rather than upward, arms held in front of her face for protection against the mass of incoming force.

What followed was a huge collision of strong wave and wind between the dashing youth. Under normal circumstances, the young girl would've been sent forcefully flying backwards, right back underwater in failure. Yet, the strong propelling of chakra under her feet, in conjunction with her forward dash, sent the youth flying forward with a force capable of withstanding the heavy barrage of distorted elements. When the wave of water and winds passed, the young academy student could be seen emerging through it, arms still held in front of her, and a look of strong determination upon her face. "Perseverance..." She repeated in her mind. That was the key.

It was around the point of the three facing their adversities head-on, that Shieo had closed his magazine and set it to the side of the seat. At this rate he was merely intent on observing the three act through the paces, understanding what they were forced to over-come, and despite immediate calculations of odds often drawing on the 'impossible' category; to be truthful, Shieo was a bit worried they would freeze up instead of facing the challenge.
It was a pleasant surprised to witness the opposite, or at least it didn't incur a prolonged freeze for them. Eishi was quick to recognize the severity of the Scorch technique that was admittedly reduced by leagues; nevertheless they were catastrophically dangerous in normal circumstances. Using his instinct to help drive some of his movements, he worked on styling his motions that would trick predictability to some degree, although it likely caused a degree of exhaustion~ It was clear he managed with some improving successes to his skill repertoire. And he would have noticed that Bahamut's assault on him had halted once the barrage of scorch-balls had finalized. Giving him an opportunity to breathe, in-fact. He senses that Bahamut had concluded his tests on the young boy.

At the moment Suika's mind flipped and realized that she can utilize the descending momentum and the obvious advantage of the attacks coming at her; almost ... almost made Shieo smile. She came to the conclusion that, given circumstances~ a person can utilize what is intent on injuring them, to their advantage. Especially in times of desperation and when the control of their movement is limited to things that generally are usurped from their field of control. As she started pivoting towards the water-base with grace of a dancer~ ignoring the part where she got clipped. It was definitely a show of quick adaptability and a clever mind for details.

Finally, Siu. Ultimately, he never necessarily tagged her as a 'brute force' sort, but he is the first to admit he's been wrong before. This of course, didn't come until after her two plunges into the cold water of the lake; each of her underwater experiences lasting longer than the last. He was, just about ready to go get her if she had struggled to get out of the water in time. Thankfully, her past displays came out this time once further~ displaying if anything, her will to push forwards through strange and challenging experiences. In her next slew of launches; she had started to utilize a variant force of chakra that pierced through the elements and ultimately helped avoid the overall challenge of the dragon's wind.
Truly, it left Shieo to arch an eye-brow. It was effective, and worked; but certainly he wasn't expecting it.

After a moment; it seemed a bit surreal. The waters all settled to almost untouched clarity. Bahamut stood in the center, and looked to Shieo in a much calmer facade. "Hn... I think this should be good for the three, overdoing it won't help their bodies grow." The draconic form twisted and warped almost in a comical fashion until it looked like a black lightning bolt that fired into Shieo's chest. Without giving a reaction from what looked like could have hurt.

Kicking his feet out from the chair, he nudged himself to a stand. Straightening his clothing and walked to the edge of the lake looking out. "Well... You three certainly held your own. That's good." Back to the droll sound of his voice. He had tucked away both hands to his pant pockets and continued. "Hopefully it was somewhat educational... Since I know you three are nearing the ends of your Academical days, you'll be faced with a lot more challenges and adversities similar to this~ of course, they'll be more in line with actually trying to kill you."
Clearing his throat, he seemed to silently beckon them to take their times to rest while everything settled.

"So, any questions before we call it a day?"

As the action began to slow down after the first couple volleys of flaming balls I was finally able to catch my breath. After the first fireball skidded by me, I was able to dodge the rest of them with a bit of quick thinking and before I knew it the balls weren't continuing to rain down on me. I went to go grab my spear now that it seemed the fight was over. It was floating in the middle of the lake, stationary and making me wonder why it took me this long to even find it. Mind fuckery I brushed it over sighing to myself as I dusted off my weapon and sheathed it behind my back.

"Siu, new girl. Either of you guys want to go get something to eat? I know a nice place near where I used to live near back in Kumo." I asked the two, not looking up as I went through my backpack again. The last thing I want is to get there and be penniless I contemplated in my head. I would carefully put away some spare supplies and check to make sure I had grabbed my wallet from home. Happily nodding my head to myself as everything was accounted for. I was aware that Shieo had asked if there were any questions, but I had the very distinct feeling asking him much of anything would be pointless. He seemed the type to give out sarcastic answers and string along kids with some stupid 'If you work hard you can achieve anything~' bullshit. Could be wrong, but I really didn't feel like acknowledging him after that slam dunk into the lake anyway, so it was easier to paint him in a bad light. That dunk hurt like a bitch after all and I could still feel it.

As the gypsy girl anticipated Monstro's next big move, their lull-eyed sensei, Shieo, absorbed it into his chest. It was quite a flashy sight that looked like it could be painful, but the man appeared seemingly unaffected. The waters were now calm as the atmosphere lightened. Suika took a deep sigh of relief. She survived her first academy lesson in the world of shinobi. And my, oh my, was it intense.

Their sensei approached them with a dull praise. Although his encouragement constantly failed to excite or inspire, Suika knew the depth of his words and their importance. Shieo was a butthead, but he meant them no harm. This fact was not only proven today, but even when she first met him at the market. “He has the power to destroy us in a whim if he felt, but he doesn't.” she fell into deep, reflective thought for a second. “Bahamut, from sight of him, looks like the thing of nightmares. But one should never fear the puppet. It's the puppet master they should fear. The worst part? There's probably more like him... and he's on our side.”

"So, any questions before we call it a day?"

Dropping her typical cutesy facade, Suika's shot up her hand and spoke with firm intent. “Can you teach us how to summon it?” She kept a fixated gaze, full of conviction, at her sensei. Her eyes revealed no humor or ill-intent in her question; she genuinely wanted to know. She realized, today, that what she had wasn't enough. As much as it pained her to admit, she needed guidance from people like him. Guidance from devils themselves.

If and after her sensei answered, she'd drop out of her bout of seriousness and phase back to her usual charismatic persona. Her transition from heavy-hearted to light was almost too smooth. This wasn't Suika's first ball game. “My name is Suika,” she answered as she performed a subtle head bow, “and while that seems tempting, I actually have to get back home. I'll gladly take a rain check.” She tilted her head and gave the boy a reassured smile. Did her words mean anything? Not really. While she possessed some curiosity for socializing with children her age, she thought it was best to keep such relationships shallow. Peers were important, but that importance was generally situational.

“Oh, and Siu,”
she shifted her body toward the girl, cheerily smiled, and spoke in gratitude, “thank you. I kind of relied on your example back there when it came to chakra control. Your careful approach definitely helped this newbie!” Was this also part of Suika's act? She wasn't sure. She typically lacked the empathy to thank anybody, but Siu was different. Her aura felt gentle... kind even. The gypsy girl wasn't a seer by any means – that was Ichigo's talent (in her troupe). It was just a deep-rooted gut-intuition she had. However, she also felt Siu wasn't limited to that nature.

Both her classmates, in fact, possessed something special about them. Suika couldn't observe them fully due to managing her own challenge, but each harbored a noticeable type of strength. The boy was clearly talented, but there was more. Siu was careful and thoughtful, but there was more. To find what that 'more' was felt almost as an itch, but, again, she decided to keep her space. Genuine friendship bred vulnerability, and vulnerability led to softness. She had to remain armored.

Siu had remained in stance for quite some time after the challenge, the determined look continuing in her eyes, in preparation for another incoming assault of some sort from the massive behemoth of an existence. To her surprise, however, the creatures nightmarish assault would suddenly come to an end, as it did it's unusual twisting and desummoning warp back into the very chest of it's owner. The scene, had initially caused the youth's eyes to widen in concern for the man's safety, yet she would find herself at a surprised relief, to see that he 'seemed' rather unharmed by the whole incident.

When the senior shinobi had finally gotten up, and began his nonchalant and dull acknowledgements to the three, Siu's initial emotion felt like angrily yelling something at him, in response to conjuring such intense trials and difficulties for the three. However, that was her 'initial' feeling. When the eldest shinobi spoke his additional set of statements, mentioning about the groups final approaching days of the academy, the girl's eyes greatly softened.
By his words, the young academy student had quickly come to a realization that the instructor's challenges were not necessarily for the purpose of bringing undesired torment upon the three, despite the fact that it had felt very much so, but rather to prepare them for the incoming challenges and dangers ahead, as they prepared their graduation for the academy. It brought a new found form of respect for the easily misinterpreted and misread dullen-eyed man.

At the boys sudden and unexpected invite to lunch, Siu's eyes immediately lit up, completely overjoyed by the idea. Her facial expression revealed her answer, long before her words would. "I'd love to!" The young girl quickly answered without hesitation. "I'm starving after this lesson!"
The newer girl's denial of the invitation to eat together, however, left a somewhat disappointed look upon Siu's face. That was, until the girl's followed up by addressing her directly. Blushing brightly after the statement, Siu rubbed the back of her neck with a hand during her response; a common reaction to nervousness, "R-really?!" She began, both excitedly and bashfully, "I-I'm very glad to have been able to help somehow. But, no need to thank me," She continued, placing both her hands in front of her, and waving them in order to emphasize the statement.
"I'm still pretty new to all of this myself, despite my age. In fact, I just recently learned more deeply about chakra control in the past few weeks with---" Pausing, she looked back up to the Instructor. That was right, wasn't it? She hadn't actually deeply considered how much the instructor had greatly been helping her with her growth and development as a shinobi, within such a short period of time. In fact, she had grown so accustomed to him, that it hadn't quite truly crossed her mind.

"Um.." The young academy student suddenly began again, blushing and bit more brightly, and looking downward shyly. "I-Instructor Shieo. I..I"

With that, she suddenly performed a respectful, waste-level bow, holding it for a few seconds. "I want to thank you for all your training!" She continued, her voice extremely nervous, yet serious. "You have helped me so much in my development as a shinobi, shown so much patience, and taught me so many wonderful things! I will never forgot all the precious things you have taught me!" Raising back upward, her eyes watery, and expression sincere, she stared again at the instructor. "I will always remember you, Mr. Icecream man!"

It was quite the paradigm shift of what the three were so recently used to having to deal with. But as everything rested; Shieo's attention drew glances to each of the three to see and understand their reactions. Taking account to how they appropriated themselves to mannerisms and their feelings towards the instructor; to be truthful, he was mostly expecting all three to act in a samey way to Eishi. He seemed to pause and watch, listen and take in how Eishi actually felt beyond the strength of his words. Once he finished his inquiries to the two girls; Shieo's brow arched, but only a moment afore he was drawn to the other two making their motions.

As Suika made a rather bold inquiry, request; or something another. Shieo's left eye squinted ever so slightly in response. "Hu'n... It's not as simple as training it, I'm afraid. I can't teach you it. It's something you need to have the latent talent to achieve. And you're a bit early on the draw to find out~ Perhaps in the future." Clearing his throat, he observed them as they interacted a bit.

He paused, and stood in silence while Siu had a little moment. Her voice was sincere; and she was acting a bit more bashful than usual. It left Shieo albeit uncomfortable, given how much he tries to make it so students don't make anything out of him. "Uh--nnhuh~" Clearing his throat, and a cough; in doing this he closed a fist and held it over his mouth as he recomposed the situation for only a moment. "Think nothing of it, I'm merely doing my job. Never-the-less, you all have done well; but you have work in all fields to progress. So try not to slack." He then brought his hand back and rummaged through his ninja-pouch. Pulling out two pieces of cloth that seemed to have some weight to them, they dangled from his fist as he held them out in-front of him.

"Two of you have a lot of growth to do, but I figure you're sufficiently ready. Just, don't slack; or you'll risk death, and what not." Rearing his arm back he tossed the two objects out; one going towards Siu and the other towards Eishi. "But congratulations you two. Siu, Eishi; you've been tested and concluded capable to fulfill the rank of Genin. With the approval of the superiors of the Academy." He let out a sigh, it was difficult to determine if it was of relief or sorrow. We all know it was the former, but leaving things in the air is better.

"Pieces of advice for you two. First; Siu. Don't call me that~ And refine your confidence, you're a capable shinobi. You just defeat yourself before your enemy does. ~ Second, Eishi. I haven't known you long, but you're brash, and underneath clever~ Work on how you handle things, a Shinobi's job isn't solely to be skilled at the three disciplines, word-play and knowing how to act in situations is a valuable skill. Improve on that, and you might become something worth watching."

Giving one simple, brief nod to the three. "Otherwise, you're all dismissed. Suika, you've got work to go; and it's been instructed to me that I will be taking you in for another class. So prepare, and I will contact you when it's ready."

Finishing, he shoved both his hands into his pockets and his body faded in a fizzle of what looked like a monitor blinking out~ and at the same time. The entire room faded into a depressive example of a metallic prison; the grass was gone, no sun~ Just darkness and the barely visible lighting that came from the ceiling. The only thing that seemed truly real and remained was the large body of water that operated as the lake.
With a hiss, the door that they entered from release hydraulic restraints and opened up. Revealing their exit.

Suika emitted a subtle expression of disappointment with her instructor's answer. Being patient wasn't her strong suit at all, but she lacked any choice in the matter. He was right, it was too early to tell what potential she had, if any. The gypsy girl knew what she had to; she had to grow stronger and, when the time was right, beat the right answers out of Shieo. It was the only logical option. She grinned in amusement by the thought.

Directly following, Shieo offered two of her peers Kumo's shinobi headbands and advice. This was an exam for them? It kind of surprised her that she was involved in a higher-leveled course for her first class; however, she didn't mind one bit. This either meant that she scored well in her initial skill assessment that she received higher placement or that there were just no other classes available. Regardless, this challenge of adaptation was a true learning experience. She valued the insights she gathered from it.

“Congratulations, Eishi and Siu!” exhorted Suika as she held out a peace sign. “Maybe I will join the two of you soon in the near future. This was my first class, after all.” She then shifted toward Shieo and gave him an understood nod. “Yes, sir. I'm ready to learn more, especially if it has anything to do with those mind tricks of yours.”

With that, the girl was off to rest back at her dormitory. Her first day in the shinobi world was pretty intense and terrifying, but she'd have it no other way.

I nodded toward Shieo, his words definitely drove most of the bitterness away. The fact that this counted as our exam also elated me quite a bit. I knew I was on the cusp of becoming a genin, but to see that it was happening after one of the more bitter classes I’ve had to experience was quite a rush.

I shrugged at Suika’s dismissal, I mostly invited her because Siu and her seemed to get along. As this was the first time we had met and we barely interacted with each other the entire class, I wasn’t surprised at all. I did note Siu’s agreement to the meal, however. I somewhat figured she would agree at this point. We had some history at this point I figured. She had a streak of naivety that also worked well with my snarky nature and didn’t annoy me as much as I expected. It was like a stupid manga plot where the class president becomes friends with the delinquent or class clown.

I did acknowledged her congrationlation towards Siu and myself and I nodded to her in modest appreciation before turning to Siu.

“Let’s get out of here then, I’m hungry and we get to double this as our celebration lunch for graduating”, I told Siu as I put my hand behind my head and began the trek to downtown Kumo.

At the informing of the fact that her and Eishi, whom she'd already become familiar with some time ago before this training, had officially qualified to become Genin, her eyes sparkled with both great shock and joy upon realization of the tossed object to her. "This is.. She began in her thoughts, "No way!" She continued, with almost complete disbelief. It was almost like a fairy tail.

Her mind reflected upon her experiences from this lesson, and the various challenges and difficulties presented to her, which had forced her to push much further past her limits, and conjure new methods of overcoming those various struggles. The difficulty of the lesson had begun to make a lot more sense now, for it was not your average academy student lesson from the beginning.

Looking back upward, eyes sparkling with a smile of joy, she listened intently to the Instructor's advice, nodding in acknowledge to his statements. In a moment as precious as this, his advice would, undoubtedly, sink right into the young, newly acknowledged shinobi's heart. It would most likely by advice she would remember all her life.
After the dismissal, she bowed again, shouting, "Thank you Mr. Ice Cre----I-I mean Instructor Shieo!" His remainder, however, would not be long it seemed, as he was observed disappearing shortly after. Holding the headband with both her hands, she stared at it for sometime in continual joy.
Turning back to the younger academy student, Siu gave a smile. "Thank you very much!" She repeated back. "And good luck on your future training with Instructor Shieo! He's a very good instructor!"

Thus, with Eishi's reminder to for lunch, Siu quickly turned back to him enthusiastically. "Celebration! Yeeea!" She shouted, overjoyed. Today had been a very difficult, yet undoubtedly, great day. With that, she also followed suite out of the establishment.
