Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Pleasantries omitted, Tomato boy was quite annoyed on this day though, he walked with a smile inside he was having a conflict with Adramelech about how much training he needs to be doing. Tomatsu thought he should be doing more, and the eager Lion/Sabertooth seemed to think he was doing just fine. They seemed to get in many heated debates about things of this nature. Though that mattered not, he'd gotten a letter from the school from his partentals talking about how he, 'Needed to get his belongings out of the lockers for the new students...' or something along those lines. Tomatsu had somethings in that locker from when he was a kid before he moved into the barracks to acclimate himself to the life of a true warrior student. He wanted to learn everything. And with his fiery abilities he would have to figure out how to hone them better. Before he became a Genin level he would have had hard times controlling it.

Now with his Genin/Chuunin training along with the Training with the Sage, he would become honed to his ability and nearly to the point of unlocking the White Scorch Blaze Release. Something all on his own something no one he knew had. A brand new type of jutsu that came from his overwhelming chakra. Nodding though he'd head to the school, down the halls to the barracks and with that he'd be seen at his last and final locker looking at a picture of him when he'd just entered the academy.

"Geez... Its been so long..."

Ryu did not live in the barracks nor any housing in the clan district and other such areas. She is a member of the Wonderland Café and has room and board there. Gen Ryu as the Dormouse was a shy and timid creature not one to entertain a group of adults. No she has her own special little job with in the café quite fitting to her personality. Gen Ryu in her main body was the size of a child and did not look very intimidating unlike some of the other characters. She was the perfect person to entertain the children that visited the Café She was a storyteller but not your normal one. Ryu's story telling was like a play, but with the audience on stage with the actors. They were not within the story, but capable of observing it in a much wider view than any movie. Sometimes upon request Ryu places a person in an interactive story; allowing a person to play the hero and slay the beast. This is the reason for her appearance in the barracks; someone has requested her services. Not looking where she is going she bumps into the tomato boy. Ryu falls backwards thus causing her sack to open and send books scattered across the floor. "Oh, forgive me sir."

Reizo had absolutely no control over his “distorting wake,” or “unreal celerity,” and it was honestly getting frustrating.

I think I envy anyone who’s kekkei genkai takes effort to activate…

Subconsciously, Reizo was constantly releasing the strange, slightly-reality-warping chakra that Seikon were known for. This resulted in him near constantly appearing in several places at once, all within about a three foot area from where he was actually standing, or as if he were a mirage, the chakra distorting the light and making it waver. The same chakra was also causing him to occasionally… speed up a little bit. Also completely unintentionally.

He had been told there was a woman here in the Barracks that could help him learn a bit about his own chakra. He had found her, and discovered the information she had was next to useless to him. A seal would work, but otherwise he would just have to learn to control it on his own. And he certainly didn’t want the reality warping chakra that had very well saved his life to be sealed away.

It was one of the little “speed ups” caused by the chakra that resulted in Reizo tripping over Ryu’s books as they spilled across the floor of the Barracks. He had been looking at the floor. He had been moving to avoid the books, if not help to pick them up. But no. Instead, the tall gangly student ended up sprawled on the floor.

”...Once again. That is not how today was suppose to go…” he grumbled softly, rolling to sit instead of lay, then looking finally at Ryu and Tamotsu.

”Sorry for tripping over your books…” the comment was directed at Ryu. He already had several of them in his hands and was offering them to the fallen Dormouse. ”Neither of us seem to be having the most graceful of days,” he offered a little smile.

Doo doo doo~ He was staring at the pictures and shook his head happening to feel the chakra signatures coming towards him... but it was too late... WHAM! One small girl hitting him and her belongings scattering about causing Tomatsu to fall back and chuckle, it would only get worse as the younger boy woudl slam into her. Though there was something odd about the boy, Tomato would hold his tongue for now. It was... something he'd want to watch closely. He'd never seen anything like it. So studying it would likely help him himself. Either way, nodding he'd look to the both of them and smirk.

"Not the best start to a day is it? Heh.", he'd stand to his feet and smile holding his hand out to the both of them. "Lets get cleaned up and get this mess cleaned before one of the teachers come and make a rant at us for it.", then a tender smile would be had... only to wonder what would come of this next. Maybe... just maybe things would be interesting.

[BUSTIN' IN UP IN HURR]

It wasn't long after Ryu finished up with the meeting he'd had with his younger brother that he wound up in the Barracks; the towering man who'd been proclaimed Kage strode through the housing unit that homed many of their members who didn't have or didn't stay with their families any longer. He rounded a corner to see a boy sprawled with books around, the Doormouse he'd met weeks earlier, and another member of the Branch he'd looked over in the roster, a recently promoted boy...his name slipped Ryu's mind at the moment though. Stepping forward, his long shadow dropped over Reizo, whom he crouched down to scoop up with his right hand underneath the smaller boy's armpit. "Seems like everyone's falling all over themselves." The micro-smirk on his lips grew a little wider seeing that Doormouse seemed to be leaning on the other boy. "Laying around on the job? Or is it that someone was lying to someone else?" Oh. The jokes. A stoic mask with the slightest of smiles would have the kids wondering just how serious he really was, but the towering man was in a rather bright mood today.

Once the boy who'd flopped on the floor was back on his feet, Ryu would place his right hand on his hip allowing the left to dangle loose at his side, hand mostly shrouded by the triangular sleeve but for the slight glimpse of stone-flesh of his knuckles and the glint of the talons. "Everything in order otherwise?" He was still amused at being able to drop a couple jokes after the days spent staring at umpteen thousand papers with the only real 'down time' being spent with his daughter.

The Dormouse recognized the boy that slipped on one of her books. He joined the class the Red Queen set up. She believes his code name was Flux. Now the question is did she remember her. The dormouse can a book lying in front of her and she thought to herself, perhaps we should remind him. She opens up the book to the first back and begins reading the first paragraph.

"My name is Lira, and you will not remember me. You won't even remember this conversation. Just like with everybody else I've ever met, everything I do or say will be forgotten. Every letter I've written will appear blank; every piece of evidence I've left behind will end up missing. I'm stuck here in Moon village because of the same curse that has made me so forgettable. Still, that doesn't stop me from doing the one thing that I love: making music. If my melodies find their way into your heart, then there is still hope for me. If I can't prove that I exist, I can at least prove that my love for each and every one of you exists. Please, listen to my story, my symphony, for it is me."

Her voice as she reads had an enchanting quality to it. It sounded different than when she normally speaks. It draws one to listen to her and brings her story to life. As she spoke the words a person would appear. She was a woman in her twenty's with mint green hair. She dressed like a bard and carried a small stringed instrument call a Lyre. Unlike the dark mare that she summoned in the class, this woman was an illusion. Those who resisted it would not even see her. The Dormouse calls this a partial summoning; They are not completely summoned out of the book. "Greetings Lira"

Upon hearing her name the woman's face brightens and goes to hug the mouse girl. "Thank you for summoning me. You don't know how good it is to hear someone say my name and actually remember me." As the story says Lira cannot be remembered, but that curse placed upon her obviously only works with in the realm of the book. The Dormouse believes the curse is what is making it hard for her to fully summon her.

”Definitely not…” Reizo replied to Tomatsu with a little frown.

He was about to take the other boy’s hand to pull himself up when a shadow fell across him. ”Who… ack!” his words were cut off by someone suddenly scooping him up by his armpit. The moment the hand fell from touching him, he shifted a bit so there was a wall to his back and he could look to see who precisely had decided to help him up so… forwardly. That was a good phrase for what had just happened.

He blinked for a moment, tilting his head to the side and inspecting Kazehi Ryu for a moment… then, of course, the robes registered.

”...Oh…” And that was about all the boy could manage at the sight of the Tsuchikage. His head turned slightly to observe the Dormouse as she summoned another being from a book. (He did recall her, at least vaguely, from the class at Wonderland, though the specifics honestly escaped him.) He looked at the woman that the Dormouse summoned, tilting his head to the side. I wonder why she did that… there was no cause for it, in his mind. That. And. You know. The tsuchikage was standing there.

And Reizo had absolutely no clue what to make of anything anymore. He seemed to almost visibly curl in on himself, trying to become smaller despite his seemingly stretched-out frame. Yeah. Those limbs were a little too gangly, a little too awkward, for Reizo to really ever become small.

Wavering a moment, he felt immense power approaching. Far greater than his own. Something... very familiar. Though something he'd not yet personally met. Looking at the look on Reizo's face he'd smirk wondering what behemoth he'd have to take down. Maybe it was a bully. All the boy said was... 'Oh. . .' how bad could it b-... Then the man spoke. It was the same voice of the Tsuchilage... and even the blond's facial features fell flat. Turning around slowly he'd continue to listen to the man until he was fully turned to face him, and all the Tsuchikage would see is this stargazed boy. Uncaring right now of anything else. This was his first time meeting the Tsuchikage.

"uh... uh... Tsuchikage-sama... dono... Uhm...", he'd bow himself before the man. Taking in his features. His valor and steadfast body and build. This was the man he wanted to be. In his heart. He felt the burning sensation to challenge this man. Though he wasnt ready yet. He would do it. IT would decide alot in his life when he did it too. Again, now was not the time nor the place, "Yes yes! Everything's in order! Though... sir...", the spikey haired blond would tilt his head... even scratching his noggin for the moment. The look of utter confusion falling over his demeanor. "...Is there any reason why you've revealed yourself to us? Wait, HAVE YOU COME TO MAKE ME A JOUNIN!?", he'd wanted to hear word back about an exam soon but he didnt know anything about how or when he'd hear from it. Maybe this was the Tsuchikage doing it personally? MAYBE who knew.

His heart was pumping and thumping what could he do to be the man before him... and... How strong was this man before him... Just how strong did someone have to be to become this man. Or was it politics? Maybe both. An Iron fist and a suave tongue. Who knew? JUST WHO KNEW!?

The different reactions to his presence were interesting, even though the kids seemed to miss the jokes, he didn't mind. Doormouse picked up a book, rattled off lines and talked to...something, she didn't even register any of the others around anymore, which contrasted the boy who he helped up that suddenly tried to fold down on himself and go all quiet. Both, however, were contrasted by the exuberant young man who damn near was vibrating in excitement. "Passing through is all, no urgent business. My younger brother is taking up residence here, and we have something planned, intended to let him know the time we'd meet. His eyes studied the boy who was trying his hardest to be as small as he could, matching features up and pulling up files in his mind, mostly physical appearances based on the images on the roster. "Long way off from escaping notice." He didn't see anything externally injured but it didn't mean the kid didn't break something when hitting the floor. A bruise, scrape, or a sprain could be shrugged off and not so bad, but it wouldn't do to have kids missing lessons or exams.

His mind and attention shot back to the excited boy, studying him as well, before Ryu gave a slight Hmn... While he wasn't asking for the position, Ryu wondered if he was ready or awaiting an examination. "However...on the note of that, I'll be looking into and examining members of the village. If you want to set up a meeting I could test you." He looked down at Reizo again. "Both." There was a lot of potential in the Village, all the young members seemed quite promising, he simply needed to meet all of them and see what they intended to do with their lives. "Actually, if neither of you are busy I could speak with you after I've seen my brother. I have time free, I'm sure my daughter won't mind eating with strangers. He was intending to surprise Shizuko, he had quite a bit packed that both of them would be able to take away from the meal. He wouldn't reduce her portions, but he didn't mind splitting some of his. "In any case, if all is well then I should be off. I have a home on the third Pillar, mid level. Shizuko and I will be outside so you'll find it. He would have invited the girl as well but...she seemed to be in a separate world. As well, he had already met with the girl, spomen to her while the little lady was putting up posters. Which...actually, he remembered that he hadn't taken Shizuko to that Café yet. A brief drop in the corner of his lips was all the frown that would show of the thought. Perhaps it would be a reward for after training.

Of course The Dormouse is well aware that things are going on around her, but she cannot afford to be distracted. She is here for a reason and that is because someone in the barracks has requested a reading from her. "Lira I want you to go to room 201 and tell the boy there that I might be a little late." The mint haired bard nods and runs off. Unfortunately Lira would be unable to preform this task because The Dormouse forgot that she is an illusion and illusion can only be seen by those they are cast upon. Normally she would have realized this, but with everything going on around here she was a little distracted. She could not help but notice she did not receive the dinner invite like everyone else. She found that a little rude, but its not like she ate anyways. "Before you go, there is someone that would like to speak to you." She grabs the books Reizo had collected and searched for the on with the right title. Was found she opens the book and reads. and familiar passage for the boy she just took the books from. "So great was her pain, she rose in rebellion against those who cared for her most. She let the Nightmare fall on those she ruled and threatened to grip them in permanent cold." As the Dormouse reads the words shadows begin spewing out from the book like a fountain of ink. With it came an icy cold chill and then a strange figure stood before the Dormouse. This character was not a normal horse; she was a Night-mare to be exact. Her form was made to look like what her creator theorizes to be the creature that inspired the nightmare genjutsu. Her figure was that of a tall dark mare with a jagged horn on her forehead and insect like wings on her back. It was a frightening form but the Dormouse found it to be quite elegant; it was the perfect form for an overlord.

Unlike Lira she was no illusion. If one were to closely inspect the page The Dormouse read from they might notice a feint water mark in the background. The marks weren't easy to see if one didn't know they were there. However for those that do notice them would find the marks similar to ones found in a summoning scroll used for storage. The dark mare walks over to The Kage. "Thank you for coming to my daughter's birthday party and congratulations on your new title." The equine in the room was indeed the same creature The Kage meant a while ago.

Reizo blinked at Tomatsu’s reaction. A lot more… exuberant. A lot more… extroverted than his own. And very very sure, it would seem, that it was only a matter of time before he became a jounin. His gaze flicked to Ryu though at his words, and there was a very slight flinch. ”I am not so good at being small,” he admitted simply. However, since his inability to truly escape notice was pointed out, his little after images seemed to multiply, as if they wanted to help the boy to hide more. It was probably an unconscious reaction to nervousness.

His head tilted slightly to the side at Ryu’s words… ”Test… us both? I have not yet completed the number of classes required of a genin,” he said with a little frown. There was a momentary pause, and the frown deepened and the boy briefly looked deeply troubled. He wrestled with the thought for a moment, then gave a little nod to himself, ”But… I would appreciate a meeting with you where I might speak with you about something I am… slightly concerned about, Tsuchikage-dono.”

I guess that is probably the best way to handle the situation with Ren and Raito-san…

He mentally noted where the Kage said his home was, a little nervous about the idea of sharing dinner with him and his daughter, but… well. It was an opportunity, and he should really take it.

His gaze flicked to the Dormouse, watching Lira run off, and the Dormouse as another being was summoned. He watched the nightmare closely, clearly wary of the creature...

Taking upon the task of actually trying to understand half the things the woman was doing... He'd give up. Summoning and things running off. He just couldnt follow it. So, he'd stand up straight and not completely ignore it. Though, he'd have to give the Kage the respect of his fullest attentions. "U...Ugh... What!? You have a younger brother and a daughter Kazehi-dono? Aye aye." He'd bow his head and continue listening, this was an opportunity that he wouldnt let slip by him. Though, what he heard next threw him off. Like Reizo he hadnt made the normal requirements. Though, with Kamaru the former Sennin being absent from the school and from the line of duty completely. Though, he'd leave it where it was. And allow himself to answer after Reizo,

"Oioi! I'd love to be examined! I gotcha back Reizo-san. We can do this! Its an opportunity that if we pass up on it now. We may never see a chance like this again!", He'd spreak with veracity in his voice he wanted this. And as he'd clench his fist, he'd allow the beginnings of his scorching chakra to peer through. "I'd love to meet with you sir. If you have a call I will appear whereever you need me.", He was still in awe he was speaking to the Kage so he had to loosen himself up a bit. Though then that new thing would be summoned...

What the hell was up with these things.

"...Eh?" but apparently the Kage knew who it was.

They might not have been aware of it but they were under the direct supervision of Ryu himself until he could iron out the wrinkles caused by Kamaru's untimely departure. While they might not 'meet the requirements', meeting with them would give him an idea of just where they were at and what they would need to reach the next stage of their lives. "I see. You are more than welcome to speak with ne once I'm done here then." He was looking at the boy who'd tried pretty hard to fold his existance into something small and insignificant when the ''Doormouse" finally spoke up to the group; of course that was before the black horse he'd met months prior to his appointment to Tsuchikage was suddenly brought into the conversation.

Ryu nodded at the horse, and since she didn't have any hands to shake, he reached his right hand out to rest the palm on her nise as he had done before during their first encounter. "Well met again. As I said, I keep my word. It's a point of honor as a man to do as he says, and my thanks. I will do my best as Tsuchikage to make this village a safe and prosper one. I hope you have been well." While the party of little issue, it had been a touch strange to haul a small horse around, he chalked it up to another unique experience though. It was more awkward being the largest person in the room, and being crammed into a corner so he didn't mistakenly start knocking over those he couldn't see in time.

His attention turned to the exuberant blonde, the boy certainly had a lot of pep and seemed to be the kind of kid that spike what was on his mind and acted as he felt was right. He had quite a bit of potential, Ryu wondered just how much groomingtraining would need to be made a Jounin."And what would I call you by? Little One is inappropriate for a young man out of childhood. Though I don't see a Clan marking on you, so you yet remain Untested." That thought actually reminded him why he was here, Kumori was ready to be tested, he had chosen the Rite of Combat and had challenged Ryu. The thought sent a sudden surge of excitement through him, igniting flames in his violet-blue eyes for a moment before he calmed himself down, not wanting to accidentally give the kids a fright. Despite being in his thirties, the man was just as energetic as he was ten years back, it was simply tempered by training and focus. What would they think of their leader if he started bouncing lime like an excited teenager?! That wouldn't do, not one bit. He cleared his throat, his body eager to be moving instead of standing around now.

The Nightmare gives Ryu a respectful bow and then bellows, "Dream Summoner!" The Dormouse ears perked and she resisted the urge to run away. The little mouse girl cautiously walks up the the equines side. The dark mare looks at Tomatsu with an intimidating glare. "Is this the one that requested to fight me?" She spoke in a commanding tone. Though her eyes and voice read anger there was a slight smile on her face. This person before her eyes looks to be a worthy adversary; so often in combat she is forced to hold back. It would be nice to go full force for a change.

"No!" The Dormouse yells and the smile of the creatures face quickly vanishes. "No, the one that requested you is a student that lives here in the barracks." The dark mare then turns her head to the boy that she knew was a student. Her eyes move up and down Reizo's body and held a bit of a disappointed look. The boy seemed barely a challenge in her eyes. "It's not him either. I sent Lira to the kid to tell him that we might be late." The Dormouse was starting to sweat bullet; afraid that her summon was going to start a fight with someone. This was not the place and definitely not the time.

The black horse then turns her head towards the mouse girl a quirks an eyebrow. "Lira?" Gen Ryu gives a nod. "She can only be partially summoned from the world of dreams correct?" Gen Ryu gives another nod not exactly following what her friend is trying to tell her. "How is the person going to receive the message?" Finally The Dormouse puts two and two together a gives the same look the she had at her first meeting with the Kage. It was a look that said, what have I done? The creature gives a small chuckle, "I see you realized your error."

Reizo offered one of the small, soft smiles that were so common on his features at Tomatsu’s words, ”That would be why I am more than happy to take the opportunity if to learn somethings that I do not yet know if nothing else,” he said quietly. He would admit at least privately that knowing that the other shinobi had his back was somewhat of a relief. The Tsuchikage himself (and Gen Ryu, as well as the summoned entities associated with her) made the boy fidget. Tomatsu was much less… intimidating, at least to the tall, gangly boy.

The exchanges between the horse, tsuchikage, Tomatsu and Dormouse (and any mix of them that didn’t directly involve him) pretty well went over Reizo’s head. The boy found himself wondering what the polite way to… well… leave would be. He had work to be doing. Training. But, leaving in the middle of what was going on? He wasn’t entirely certain it would be polite. So. The boy instead stood pretty well frozen in place. When the Nightmare’s gaze drifted to him, he shook his head,

”Not I. I do not live in the barracks.”

and decided to ignore the disappointment in the horse’s eyes. Not that he would necessarily recognize it as disappointment anyways, being as the Nightmare was a horse and… well, truthfully? Reizo had never had anything to do with a horse before. Or even seen one. He fidgeted a bit more when the attention drifted from him and sloooowly started inching down along the wall in small movements.

Realizing that her message would not be delivered in a panic just onto her equine summon. "Sorry guy but I gotta go." And with that she rides through the halls, which likely caused a bit of commotion. For how often does one see a person riding on a horse in the barracks? At the end of the hall she takes a strap right and heads up the steps. The sound of her steed going at full gallop could still be heard from the flour below.

Ren checked her shoulder bag and made sure that all of the books within were secure and in their places before she headed. She sighed and she stood there, thinking about the way to get back to her house the fastest, and thought, well. Cutting through the barracks would be a little faster afterall.... And she might stay there eventually when she gets older... Why not? So adjusting the strap once more she started to trek her way through the barracks, head down as she thought about her research. She was doing everything she could to look up about Cursed Seals but the books she did manage to find didn't tell her much at all. Not as much as she would hope, at least.

She was just watching her own feet move when she heard a familar voice and her head jerked up, for her to catch sight of none other than her friend Reizo!

"Reizo-kun! What are you doing here??" She cried out as she hugged the poor boy.

She grinned widely before letting go of the gangly boy and then turned to look up at... Ryu????

"Cousin! What? You... Reizo-kun?" She said, confused, glancing from her cousin to her friend before shaking her head.

"Well Cousin, this is my friend Reizo-kun! I told you about him right?" She chattered away, before turning, and stopping dead in her tracks.

Where she had been hyperactive and excited before, she was suddenly dead still and had a look of shock on her face, which was tinting a lovely shade of deep red the longer she stood there staring. Pointing at the blond she shouted abruptly.

"YOU! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" And as soon the words left her mouth she blushed an even deeper red and covered her face, turning away, fully embarrassed by her outburst.

"oi... Yes sir, It'd be an honor sir,", the spikey blonde would find himself standing at attention before he would look to Reizo once more. He essentially forgot that the 'doormouse' existed. He didnt have time to play games when there was the Kage standing. right. there. There were times you had to just bit the bullet, so to speak, and figure things out after you met a public figure head. Though it was disrespectful to approach with such daftness, was honestly, and believably inconsiderate. Like a child trying to draw attention to themselves when grown-ups would be having serious discussion. Tomatsu was trying to upgrade his life... Trying to figureout how to rise above the adversity before him and accomplish something some told him would be impossible.

Though the thought didnt remain long as he felt something familiar... something... he had fallen to like... possibly more than he should've at this point and after their time at the Sea he would feel closer to her than many other people he'd come into contact with. In his life there werent many people he grew to love and like like this... but this was a flower in early spring, beginning to blossom into a gorgeous thing. But it could easily wilt away and lose life. If quickly drained. This was one of those moments... He wanted nothing more than to make one of the first great encounters he had to be the one he'd keep forever.

He'd watch her, and instantly he tightened his fist as she hugged the young boy... though why should he? He was... Eight? Nine? Ten at best. Jealousy was such a bad taste to have, but he held himself back and waited. Allowing her to get her introductions in before he'd chime in. And when she looked at him his heart stopped awaiting for the hug, embrace, anything...
". . ."

His jaw dropped and he couldnt take it though he noticed her face turn into a tomato, so with that he'd chug it down and swallow the pride that he'd set aside that he'd take... And sigh. "Is there a problem with me being here? Ren...chan~?" he'd speak with almost a sultry tune.

Ryu had been just about to leave, but it seemed the events unfolding before him got that much more interesting. Ryu watched as his cousin shuffled her way through the halls, only to perk up at the sight of the gangly boy. Reizo. Noted, he was someone she cared for to the point of physical contact. Not many people reached that point with her these days. But the most interesting note he took was the shift in the blonde boy's posture, it was brief but the young man's jaw tightened, his muscles twitched, and for the briefest of seconds: Ryu saw a flame of jealousy blaze before it was quenched. Ren matched the reaction to the blonde's presence just as blatantly, acting fairly different from how he'd seen her, right down to the rush of blood to her face.

All through this, his face remained blank but the ambient temperature around him shot up by several degrees even as he stayed relaxed. "Well." His voice stayed conversational, but the tone went much more professional. "Good to see you're out and about, Ren." His violet-blue eyes swept from the flustered girl right to the blond haired boy. "Perhaps, after my business is concluded we should speak. In private, seems we have much to discuss." The brief smile that split the towering man's face was chilly, and he clapped Tomatsu on the shoulder with his left hand, giving a gentle squeeze, but sparing the obsidian colored talons. "Ren, I hope you stop in for dinner tonight." It sounded much less like a pleasantry than it should of with a professional voice. "But you all will have to excuse me, I have matters to attend and paperwork to do." He let go of Tomatsu, walking past Ren to pat her on the head (with his right hand) enough to make her bounce a little, and continued on his path down the hall way to meet up with his brother and deliver the time that Kumori's Rite of Combat would take place.

It seemed he had much to look into and a name to learn afterwards as well.

Very, very interesting.

Reizo nearly let out an “eep!” when Ren hugged him. His attention had been elsewhere, and thus until the girl had called out and hugged him, the poor kid hadn’t even been aware of her. Which was a total lapse in perception on his part. But it could be justified at the moment. ”I… uhm. er…” and the little distortion-y after images were becoming more prominent, ”Was going to see… someone…” he trailed off slowly, Ren’s attention having bounced to Ryu already.

The shout made Reizo jump. There wasn’t any point in denying it, he flat out jumped, thankful for the wall behind him that he was now leaning against rather firmly. His gaze flickered to Tomatsu. So… Ren and Tomatsu met before… I do not know what to make of how they are interacting… It was a thought process to continue working on later, and it would probably take a bit of time for him to unwind it. Of course, on the other hand, he could always just ask Ren about it later. That was always a possibility, and probably would work a lot better than him trying to sort it out on his own. The slight rise in temperature pulled Reizo’s attention back. He wasn’t entirely sure whether it was Tomatsu or Ryu’s fault… he certainly got the impression that Tomatsu would likely be less friendly with him, now that Ren had hugged him in front of the blond boy and not given Tomatsu the same… respect? That was a close enough word.

The tall boy opted to pretty much wallflower for the time being. He kept pressed towards the wall, listening and watching. ”Understood, Tsuchikage-dono. I will go tell my family that I will not be there for dinner tonight, and shall see you later.” He bowed, respectful even as Ryu was moving off, executed nearly flawlessly. When he straightened, Ryu was pretty well gone.

He looked then to Ren and Tomatsu. ”...Ahh..m… shall… I leave?”
