Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[Continuing from a confrontation between Amaya Izumi and Miroku Akkuma in the Intervillage Exams thread. The RP is open and anyone is welcome to step in and join, but as of now, this is where it'll be played out so-as not to interrupt the registration post too much.]
THE STORY SO FAR

Izumi Amaya said:
The heat was overpowering as Amaya started into one of her last waterskins. Wiping sweat from her brow, she smiled as she approached the gates of the city. Well, looks like I finally made it. She had gotten word of the invitation to this intervillage exam while she'd been out grabbing a bite to eat after training. She overheard one of the Genin speaking about it. The gates opened, and Amaya stepped through, taking in a deep breath before immediately covering her mouth. The smell hit her like a rock in a pond. My word, what in the hell is that smell?! Her thoughts went answered as she began to regain her composure, looking around. The place looks poverty stricken, and yet there seems to be a lot of worth that went into this place.

After finally regaining her composure, she stood up, shook off the initial shock, and took off to find the sign-in table. She just stared as she walked by people of all ages, some of which looked a lot like unskilled thieves or tired old laborers. Most of which stared at her with what she felt was the intent to attack but it seemed as if they somehow knew better knowing there was the exam happening here. As she approached the table, she noticed a rather large person. Or was it a creature? She hadn't seen anything like it before so she decided to approach cautiously until she heard the child scream. Demon, huh? I guess the exams just got much more interesting. Reaching the table, she smiled at the bikini-clad women, and grabbed the clipboard they had extended.
Name: Izumi Amaya
Village Represented: Cloud
Present Shinobi Rank: Chuunin
Exam Requested: Jounin Exam
Why Are Shinobis from Your Village Superior to Others: Dedication to the village.

She filled it out with the information she figured she had to give. Though the last question was a little confusing for her. As much as she loved Cloud, she never felt like the village was absolutely superior so she couldn't very well explain her answer. As she handed the clipboard back, she kept her hand extended to receive the stamp. What an odd sensation. This isn't what stamps are generally like, are they? She rubbed her hand as she moved out of the way, her eyes wandering to the apparent demon.

Excuse me, she said as she slowly approached him. Is it true what the child said? Are you a demon? She stood there, hoping he acknowledged her question. She'd never met a demon before so she was excited, yet afraid. How does she approach one? What will he do?

Miroku Akkuma said:
Akkuma looked down at his stamp seal as onlookers encroached upon him, gazing at the demon that had come to the exams. 'It shall at least be interesting to see what the seal does.' he thought to himself, the evil within it made him wonder at what was hidden in its design. Wondering to himself if it would be worthwhile questioning the women at the booth about it. But before he could give it anymore thought another child had wandered up to him. 'These children sure are bold...' he thought to himself, deciding he would make the best of all this attention.

Turning his ominous gaze down to the small shinobi he smiled that shark-like grin, revealing those razor sharp teeth. "I am indeed..." he said in a deadly tone, his voice cutting through the air. Piercing both of his thumbs on his fangs he placed blood on the two different seals on the palms of his hands, one summoned a succubus whilst the other summoned a dead Miroku Clans member. Meanwhile the massive beings body began to grow his flesh tearing and healing at an incredible rate.

Dark chakra crackled from his body, towering over all those around he had become even more monstrous looking. His skin took on an onyx coloured marble-like appearance, although it was actually made of demonic chakra. Massive ashen wings spread out behind him and he hunched over the little ninja putting on his best legion voice. "I'm going to eat your soul!" he would snarl a terrifying sound to most beings, his jaw disjointing much like that of a snakes as it opened up. Sand was kicked up around him from the force of the chakra releasing, making it harder for those watching to see if he had finished the 'attack'.

No doubt to the young girl and all the onlookers around he was about to eat her soul. After all he did pride himself on his ability when it came to performances, particularly when it came to being the monster. He could hear people screaming while others cried out for help, he could even hear the footsteps of those who hoped to get there in time. After he saw the girls reaction he would explain to everyone he was just joking around. Things were too boring maybe this would be a good way of provoking some people to interact with him. There was no better way to test someone's nature then seeing what they would do in certain situations first hand.

Meanwhile the succubus & undead clan member held in their hands before them a sign 'Joke' was all that was written on it though no doubt many would not believe it. He merely hoped it would halt all those who began to move towards the Dark Sage long enough.

OOC: Time for Akkuma to have some fun xD You got your answer.Amaya Izumi -eats popcorn while he waits to see what everyone does-
CRPJ Used:
Master of the Damned ~ Custom Roleplay Messenger Summon / Jutsu ( I have both the demon Contract & Contract Master Ability )
Effect: Summons a lower level demonic being to deliver messages.
Notes: Essentially a jutsu to give my Messengers more flavour. Can only have one Demonic Messenger at a time. Follows normal NPC rules.
Approval

Name of Jutsu: Corpse Messenger no Jutsu [Demon Sage Jutsu] [Requires Dead Soul Technique/Corpse Soil/Jutsu Creator]

CRPJ's Effect: Allows Akkuma to use corpses as messengers using a seal to store Senjutsu chakra. The seal ensures that the corpse does not decay until the destination is reached. Unless battle is initiated in which case the seal senjutsu flow is interrupted and the corpse decays at an extreme rate, reaching full decomposition in a matter of seconds.

Reason why it cannot be used in battle: Its impossible to focus the chakra and store it within the seal whilst in the heat of battle, attempting to do so is impossible as it generally takes approximately five minutes for the process to be completed. The heat of battle would also make it impossible to manipulate the senjutsu chakra in the necessary way.

Limitations:
Follows normal NPC rules. Essentially to give the messengers more flavour.

Izumi Amaya said:
"I am indeed..." Amaya stared at the demon as he summoned a corpse and a succubus. Determined not to show fear, she stood in front of him, steadfast. "I see. Powerful summoning jutsu at work here." She smiled, but didn't falter. The demon's body began to grow in front of her, dark chakra could be physically felt coming from within him. She heard screams start to come from the onlookers. Was this a mistake? Did she just lock herself into a terrible fate? She looked around before noticing the demon's skin had begun to change, now sporting an onyx color to it as he towered over her. He hunched overtop of her and she looked him dead in the eyes as she felt it would show him that her fear had been contained and redistributed.

This could turn ugly, Amaya said to herself. Guess I better prepare myself for this... She clenched her fists, her purple cloth bandages tightening with the chakra she'd begun to infuse into them. She remembered she didn't need to bother with weaving handsigns so this might end up in her favor if played correctly, but she didn't feel the need to fight this demon today. "I'm going to eat your soul!" The demon snarled the words in an absolutely bone chilling, terrifying voice. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end, but she was determined to hide her fear and show that she could be stronger than fear itself.

As the sand kicked up, she smiled in the face of the demon. "Clearly you've no idea of who I am, demon." Without so much as a sign, but more as an insurance policy, she had water needles at the ready. "Shall we continue this in another manner, or will it end in needless blood? I was thinking tea." The sand settles, and Amaya is face to face, inches away from the hunched over demon's face. She's smiling, and he looks menacing, as if he's going to make good on the threat he mentioned seconds ago.

OOC: We could take this to another thread if need be. This could be interesting.

It was a bit peculiar how so many people seemed adversely affected by the heat, but at least those she had come out to see were there and off safely… Perhaps with one exception. There were two or three students she didn’t recognize, making their presence known with little flair. The teacher was out and about, to date the only man to cross her path by her home without sharing the details of his nervous system with her tentacle set, without even realizing the existence of his delicious young tardy student who sparred with her hammer. Yoru was certainly managing to keep himself in the spotlight long enough to see the dashing older gentleman’s face get red, and as Rega rubbed her finger over the edge of the tasty gossip paper she’d picked up on her way she felt as though this would be a fun work vacation with the Raikage. Elsewhere, the ballsy Med-nin who checked out her ass was with his sizeable brood, smooching it up and enjoying the family life… It did make her ponder a few things, such as…

The beach bunnies were fairly easy on the eyes, and drew the fully clothed and armored ANBU woman’s gaze for a few minutes, distracting her from the big reason for making her way out to the beach. Ever since the loss of her numerous bloodlines during a mission, her ability to feel heat and cold had greatly diminished, and the excuse of enjoying the beach was somewhat lost to her given the nature of the event. This was actually to check on the safety of an ANBU Trainee-to-be and a hopefully future Black Aces member, and while the student had left without commotion, her tiny, tiny protégé was already on the verge of picking a fight. Having dedicated some of her craft to the body in jeopardy of being pulverized, the kunoichi rubbed her head and sighed before shifting through the crowd to the location of the scuffle. The only blood left pulsing with life in her body was that of the demon who made her how she was, and as she approached Akkuma and Amaya she felt it desperately try to produce its foul effects around her. Restraining herself, she kept herself from getting hostile as she called out to the young woman… ”Ah, good, you seem to have gotten signed up. I was afraid you might spot the big boss and gotten distracted until the registration period was already over~”

Name: Kagari Toshiwakai
Rank: Genin in Public/ANBU In Training in Secret
Age: 16

It was amazing that once the word "Intervillage examination" get thrown in, all of a sudden an entire city gets populated with hundreds of shinobi. Seriously, if a bomb went off in the middle of all the shinobi; every village that was attending would be without their prized soldiers. But, nonetheless new faces, new smells, and new egos poured into Soon's Haven. Kagari was here for a different reason; he wanted to observe the festivities and investigate some possible....leads. Originally, he was here for the exam but due to unforeseen circumstances and poor planning; he didn't sign up. Still, there was always next year if they do this again, hopefully, this time in a better place; somewhere where there's less human trafficking and more....something. As Kagari navigated crowded street by street, he was dressed in his civilian gear. In fact, he looked more like a tourist than a ninja, but he kept his headband close by in case he needed to flash it to show he belonged there. As he got close to the center of all the chaos, he started to notice the lack of pavement and the return of sand; although this sand was softer and got in things a lot easier. As he looked up, an ocean smell filled the air, and he saw scantily clad women hand out forms to various ninjas. Kagari froze for a second and was confused. "This is where you sign up for the exams? A bunch of girls in bikinis hand out flyers?" It was an incredible site, as men and women of all ages with scars armed to the teeth being handed papers by a girl who's loaded for a photo shoot. Whoever thought of this was both a pervert and a slight genius. I guess it works for the guys who can barely stop drooling over the girls, as that's probably the last sight of beauty they'll ever see considering the possible death and carnage in the exams. He could already sense the tenseness of the situation. There was always a rivalry between villages, and while this may be a slight alternative to an all out war; most of the shinobi here would openly kill one another. As he made way for some of the men passing through, he noticed a confrontation to the side away from the rest.

It was between a man and a young girl, as the girl was visibly curious at the man's true nature. Is it true what the child said? Are you a demon? Kagari turned his attention toward the man; he looked familiar, yet Kagari couldn't make out his face. "I am indeed..." He immediately recognized the voice, one of his earliest teachers; Miroku Akkuma. "You gotta be kidding me." Kagari began to push people out of the way as he tried to get closer to the duo, but it was getting difficult as the crowd tended to push back. "I'm going to eat your soul!" "Not the best time to say that sensei..." Kagari sighed at his sensei's antics, he was one for theater after all. Of course, everyone in the vicinity looked over to Akkuma, as dark chakra circled his body; creating an intimidating image. Of course, the other girl; the one who asked if Akkuma was a demon immediately sprang into action and was ready to throw down. "Shall we continue this in another manner, or will it end in needless blood? I was thinking tea." It was like watching a duel between two gunmen in the desert heat, waiting to draw at any moment. 'Oh shit, I better get to them quick. Knowing Akkuma he won't take that threat lightly' Kagari was pushing through even faster, trying to stop the fight before it happened. Although, someone else began to approach them as well. She too was pushing through the crowd and trying to get to them before something happened. The person called out to the girl, ”Ah, good, you seem to have gotten signed up. I was afraid you might spot the big boss and gotten distracted until the registration period was already over~”

'Phew, someone else had the same idea.' Kagari sighed in relief as he finally got to the group. "You're always stirring up trouble sensei, aren't you? It's always been the same when I was a kid, and now I find you years later without a peep here in Soon's Haven. What took you so long?"

OOC: Looking forward to rping with everyone! Sorry Rega if you're not wearing a mask, will edit my post if you are. Kagari you always seem to stumble upon Akkuma. =D Lets enjoy the Rp, please excuse Akkuma but with war so near.

Akkuma stared the little shinobi down, doing his best to hold back laughter. 'What an incredibly brave shinobi...' he thought to himself, that deadly gaze slid to the stranger who apparently knew the youngster. Standing back at his normal height he would give a chuckle, it seemed even Kagari had brought it upon himself to attempt to diffuse the situation. "Come now surely you know I would never do such a thing, unless it was my mission. Unfortunately I think it would be quite counter-productive to the last few years I've spent building ties with international ninja and their villages. I am glad to see you well, you might want to stick around." he would say in a charming tone before turning his gaze once more to the bold little kunoichi with her ice needles.

"Your courage in the face of an enemy is remarkable, truly a testament to your village. Why don't we settle for tea now and save the needless bloodshed for a more festive time." he spoke his warm words of praise before returning to his normal form, not that it was any less monstrous. Giving her a devilish grin he would turn his gaze to Kagari "I do hope they weren't to hard on you during your exam, Kyuji swore he would assess you." he would say to his disciple warmly. That Crimson orb and its diamond-like counterpart held the young man in his stern gaze, but if he looked closely he might just see the pride he hid.

"I am Miroku Akkuma, Head of my clan. Demon of the Wastes and Dark Sage of Mist. Ally to the Toraono Clan & Oshiro Clan, by extension both Sunagakure & Kumogakure. Apologies but I couldn't help myself things were so...dull." bowing to those present, he turned a warm gaze to the fearless kunoichi. "One day I'm sure you will be a fearsome opponent, on that day I would be honoured to do battle against you." he would say giving her a respectful bow, before turning his gaze to the Shadow. "This one does your village proud." he would say gesturing to the kunoichi.

Deciding he should answer Kagari's question on what he had been doing over the past few years. "I've been preparing for war...but we can discuss that soon enough. Did anyone else notice the evil within the design of the seals that were placed upon us. Or was it just me?" his gaze would slid from Kagari, Amaya and resting finally on the Shadow. Before deciding whether or not he would further involve them in his plan. "Tell me this Akira Saito what is he like? I knew Hayate Shin he was an honourable man, is his successor honourable as well?" he would ask another question this one may of been a bit personal for the Kumogakure nin.

"I almost completely destroyed the bar I was in when I recieved the news. After all I had promised to help his military, that's why I did what I did with those shinobi. I hope Akira Saito dealt with Titan, I fear they would have grown into a dangerous enemy for him. Oh that reminds, keep an eye on him. No doubt he will be in danger in the coming months, everyone within this country is. If I don't succeed that is." he would say in a matter of fact tone taking out a pipe and igniting it contents. Taking a puff he would wait to see what there response was if they wanted to know further he would discuss it via his demonic mind link, but for now he would see what interest he could raise in these shinobi. Successfully swaying a few more kumogakurian ninjas would certainly help get Akira Saito's support with the matter or at least that was what he thought.

The newcomer seemed to mirror her own sentiments in keeping the peace, leaving the kunoichi to feel a bit more at ease as she let her body relax its dark aura before it could be noticed. To the contrary of her premonitions, the would-be rival turned out to be a diplomat playing for a silver tongue, albeit at a fairly low level of success given the soreness of praising her hothead. ”We’ll see if she’s able to hack it first… Pride usually comes before the fall, but this one is so light and fluffy I’m inclined to believe she’ll float right through life’s problems with her petit charm. You know, prior to stabbing things in the back like a good ninja.”

With that, Rega shot her soon-to-possibly-be subordinate a disapproving look, prior to being snapped out of her mothering moment by mention of mist and war. Rega hadn’t really known too much about Mist, as it was on the cusp of ruin just as she was finally coming into her own as a ninja, but her mentor told her a great many stories. How it was once the birthplace of the messiah Shinbatsu himself, and he fled from the lunacy that would eventually bring darkness beyond death to their shores in order to save his promised children of Kumogakure. Also her parents were from there too, and they were butchered for trying to also flee into Kumogakure. It was no love lost for the ANBU Captain when the disaster struck.

He kept on with cryptic banter and some condolences for the fallen hero Hayate, causing Rega’s eye to twitch as she recalled the horrific events after her return… and that one of the involved parties had yet to be dealt justice to. ”Why yes, the lordgod’s chosen son has been a wonderful leader to all of Raiden’s people, and he has managed to handle a great many troubles both within our borders and beyond… Inspirational to an extreme, powerful beyond human comprehension. One could not ask for more from a leader, even of a creature steeped in divinity as he is. Hayate Shin had relied on his protection, and mine, and it was a terrible shame that we could only spot the troubles abroad when his conspirators came from within… A costly mistake that shall never be repeated.” She’d recited such before on several occasions, to the point where it almost became robotic, but as she described his leadership, she could feel her blood boil somewhat. It was always true, just so few seemed to respect his divine heritage.

But that wasn’t the only thing causing her to get anxious. This man knew too much, and here she was, only having heard very distantly reference to his name, let alone his title. It was closely linked to her own, too closely… ”You seem to hold yourself in quite high regard as well. Do tell, good sir… what does a man from a burning village seek with Kumogakure and its armies? Surely you don’t mean to send shinobi out to revive a ruins still burning.”

"He wouldn't be the only one, if he was..."

A young man with light blue hair had just finished making his way through the throngs of panicking crowds towards the group in question, some of them set off by the demon's temporary display here and others set off by the demon and the insect nearby. Despite what little had actually transpired the crowd was starting to shove and topple over each other in more than simple anxious fear. They knew something. They were afraid of the shinobi, in spite of apparently having invited them into their town for nothing less than a show of what terror they could bring. Everything in this place seemed to scream deception at the young man as he approached the young woman whose words had peaked just enough of his curiosity to force his hand. He had made out a few words of the demon as well, perhaps twice as interesting, though he had not had his attention fully invested in one particular place long enough to fully merit his involvement. As he approached the group, his speed did not slow. Instead, he simply continued walking through the group nonchalantly. As he passed through the center, from underneath his large tan shroud would drop a Kunai bearing a leaflet by way of ninja wire. It might almost resemble an explosive note at first, but the the way it was written would more clearly resemble a message.

And bear the symbol of a village at war, separated from allies or assistance. Forgotten by the rest of the villages when it needed their help most.

The kunai clanged lightly on the broken stone pathway beneath him. Whether or not anyone would notice he had dropped it was another question. He hoped that no one watching the group from afar had perceived the motion as intentional, as he kept his head facing straight as he walked and his composure casual, but there was no telling how deep this situation might be going. From behind his large shades he would make contact with the demon's as he passed by, something about the look in the man's eyes quietly suggesting to him that they might be on the same page about a few things. If Takayama hadn't been in the middle of something requiring his immediate focus he might have stopped to talk further, but as it stood he couldn't afforded to lose his target. As he finished passing through the group a single string of words would act as his departure, his eyes straying back to one of the registration girls as he eyed her grip on her paperwork carefully and continued moving in her general direction.

"Free drinks on me later..."

”Ah, good, you seem to have gotten signed up. I was afraid you might spot the big boss and gotten distracted until the registration period was already over~” Amaya took a step back, eyes still trained like sharpened daggers on the eyes of the demon. She turns her head making sure not to lose sight before speaking. "Oh, Rega. That you? Am I safe, or should I probably keep my guard up?" She looked away anyways, sensing she was probably no longer in danger, her water needles dissipating. "Yeah, I'm all signed up, but to be honest, I'm nervous. I don't think I'll be able to perform as well as I'd hope I can." "Your courage in the face of an enemy is remarkable, truly a testament to your village. Why don't we settle for tea now and save the needless bloodshed for a more festive time." The demon spoke encouraging words. "I appreciate your honesty, but I'm sure you'd most likely be leagues ahead of me so as much as I may have been brave for stepping up, it may have been my downfall in the same moment." She looks back over to Rega, who spoke yet again. ”We’ll see if she’s able to hack it first… Pride usually comes before the fall, but this one is so light and fluffy I’m inclined to believe she’ll float right through life’s problems with her petit charm. You know, prior to stabbing things in the back like a good ninja.”

"Oh come on Rega, you know I like to poke the bear. It's no fun if they don't get riled up, right? You experienced my smart-assery first hand." She laughed as she went to stand over near the ANBU captain. As Rega spoke more, a strange young man with light blue hair had made his way through the crowd. He seemed to walk right through the middle of the conversation, dropping a kunai. Amaya walked over, picking it up. On the kunai was a note attached. "They will kill me....1400 hours....Will of Fire...Wait.. The only village that ever used an excuse for the Will of Fire had always been the hidden Leaf..." She thought to herself long and hard. There must be something more, so she quickly scrawled on the opposite side of the note before running off to hand it back to the shinobi before taking herself back to Rega.

Akkuma looked like he was doing his best not to burst out laughing, it seemed like his intentions were never to start a fight in the first place. "Come now surely you know I would never do such a thing unless it was my mission. Unfortunately, I think it would be quite counter-productive to the last few years I've spent building ties with international ninja and their villages. I am glad to see you well; you might want to stick around." Kagari rolled his eyes as his teacher made an excuse that he would never start a war intentionally unless that were his primary goal. Kagari sighed, and shook his head at Akkuma's antics; he did like to ruffle any ninja's feathers when it was an option.

”We’ll see if she’s able to hack it first… Pride usually comes before the fall, but this one is so light and fluffy I’m inclined to believe she’ll float right through life’s problems with her petite charm. You know, prior to stabbing things in the back like a good ninja.” "Oh come on Rega, you know I like to poke the bear. It's no fun if they don't get riled up, right? You experienced my smart-assery first hand." Kagari chuckled, the two knew each other very well. It was strange, a student and a teacher going after their teacher and student. "Well, at least the other bears around us seem not to want to start a full bear war. Then again, I guess this entire exam may be here to prevent other bear wars." Kagari shrugged, before introducing himself. "I'm Kagari, a genin from Suna. I'm not going to be part of the exams, just doing some observing and trying not to get in trouble." Akkuma did the same and introduced himself to the duo from Kumo.

"I do hope they weren't too hard on you during your exam, Kyuji swore he would assess you." Kagari nodded, "He did in his own, dangerous way. Are you two brothers? Because seriously you two are so alike it's scary. " "I've been preparing for war...but we can discuss that soon enough. Did anyone else notice the evil within the design of the seals that were placed upon us? Or was it just me?" He avoided furthering answering Kagari's previous question, probably this was something to talk in private and not in the open with hundreds of other ninja milling about. The swimsuit girls were a good distraction, but there were still ears everywhere. Akkuma began to address the two kunoichis, focussing on what Kagari assumed was the superior, "Rega." Akkuma and Rega began to trade words about people and places Kagari didn't know. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw another shinobi come up to the group. Kagari began to tune out the conversation as the figure approached them and dropped a Kunai with something attached to it on the ground. Kagari flinched at first when he thought it was an explosive tag. Once he got a closer look, it was a note. The shorter girl picked it up and read the note to herself before running back to the shinobi who dropped it in front of them. Kagari was very curious, he would question the girl once she came back.

"So, what did he want? It's not every day that someone walks up to a group of foreign shinobi and drop a kunai in front of them unless they were dead. " Kagari asked the girl.

Akkuma let out a devilish chuckle it seemed things were starting to get quite interesting, the group bantered among themselves and he wondered how they would react to knowing the 'other Bears' had already started war. The purple haired kunoichi referred to the new arrival as Rega, asking her if she should keep her guard up. If they knew what was really going on they would never let it down, deciding it would be unbecoming of an ally to allow comrades to go into a danger blind. Making his decision that he would inform them of the potential danger. "Yes it would have...but I'd have counted you among the bravest mortals I've encountered." he said in a calm yet warm tone smiling at the young kunoichi.

Hearing Rega's words he smiled "Haha I'm sure you're quite right, she has the right mentality to persevere through the shinobi life, at least from what I've seen." he said to other kunoichi before turning his head back to the purple haired shinobi who went on to say how much she liked to poke the Bears. Kagari's words however made the demon sigh audibly even as a Sunan youth Kagari had no idea what he may have stumbled upon, that was the most disturbing thing of all. "Haha I can only imagine...we will be family soon, he'll be a cousin by marriage." he said with a devilish grin. The demon could almost feel the change in the kunoichi known as Rega at his words of Kumo. Perhaps she was disturbed by just how much who knew about the inner ongoings of Kumogakure, maybe it was his knowledge of their hierarchy he could only speculate. Then again maybe she was more concerned with the fact that this demon knew so much, from what he had seen among the Kumo nin they did have quite a disdain for demons. Not that it wasn't understandable considering the devastation the demon wars had inflicted on their people.

"Unfortunaetly I did try to warn Hayate that I doubted the loyalty of quite a ew of those who served under him, after all I did have quite a few dealings with the man. I can't help but think that his interactions with me may have contributed to the distrust of his people. Perhaps this is just my own guilt for not being able to convince him of my fears..." he would say with a solemn look in that Crimson orb and its diamond-like counterpart. From the tone of his voice and the words he spoke it was only truth that he was expressing at this point. "Tell me do you think the Raikage...Akira Saito. Would be able to overcome any prejudices he may hold against my kind? For the sake of his own people and the stability of the shinobi world of course." no doubt his question and his cryptic explanation would only further fuel her concerns, his words were genuine as he wondered whether she believed he would be capable of such an act.

Rega's next question made the demons arm twitch, Mist was not ablaze unlike Fire Country or the rumours surrounding it. Kirigakure had become a frozen tundra lost to all but the sturdiest of beings, the creatures that lurked within that frozen tundra rivalled beings from eldritch horror stories. However before he could bring up this point a shinobi moved through their group, dropping what appeared to be a note. The demon would lean over the purple haired kunoichi reading the note he had dropped(hope you don't mind Akkuma peaking over your shoulder). Akkuma heard the newcomers words and smiled quickly activating his chakra sense jutsu to get a read of the mans chakra signature. It seemed he had drawn the attention of yet another newcomer, but this shinobi looked to be a man on a mission. The little purple haired kunoichi ran after the man to give him her reply no doubt. While she did this the Dark Sage leaned in close to Rega so he could whisper in her ear, low enough so that even she would have to struggle hear her words.

"The Wind Daimyo attacked Sunagakure...I have reason to believe that he or those he's hired may make a move against the sunans and possibly anyone they consider to be allies. Warn your Lord before it's too late, I give you my word that I will watch over this little kunoichi." his hand had even moved around her shoulder, so to any who were watching them it might appear he was simply whispering sweet not gas into her ear. While really he was giving her a warning she wouldn't recieve from any others, leaning back he would give her a nod. That look in his eyes would tell her he was deadly serious, for all he knew they were already being watched. "I don't wish to use your armies to save my village, that winter abyss cannot be defeated by armies unfortunately...no I want to use your army to save this Country and your shinobi." he would say seriously before turning that gaze of his once more to the purple haired youth.

She possessed the same type of seal that he did which he could only assume meant she was going for the Jounin exam as well. Turning his gaze to Kagari who questioned the young kunoichi he would listen intently before leaning over his pupil to whisper something in his ear. "Wind Country will soon be at war...the Daimyo has betrayed you." were his only words to his disciple said so quietly undoubtedly even his pupil would struggle to hear it. Before speaking to both of the young shinobi "Clearly something that was said piqued his interest in us, I'm guessing this man has some thoughts of war on his mind. I wonder which side he belongs too..." he would say quietly watching the shinobi walk away, Akkuma knew he had been trying to get the demons attention. So he would be sure to track the man down later, if he didn't seek the demon out first that is.

With the changing of the crowd and the chaos starting to envelop the city, Rega sighed and rubbed her forehead. Hearing the try-hard night terror prattle on about politics, noticing the note and her spring hare’s willingness to go gallivanting off after an overly dramatic foreign ninja… At least the sandman seemed to have a good sense of etiquette and priority. ”You really do think of yourself as some kind of terrible creature from beyond the gates of hell, don’t you? Despite the fact that your blood is as mixed as any of our kind, and to proclaim yourself a fellow sage so boldly in public…”

The gentleman made no secret of his heritage, but being tainted by the blood of two individuals descended from demons and having been around for a demon invasion herself left her quite knowledgeable about the difference between one and the other... and the popular opinion of mixed heritage. ”Just like the blood of a Hachiashi or a Hyuuga, you’re just a man with a taste of something extra. I don’t doubt that your strength lends you anything but leverage in politics and information gathering, HOWEVER…” With a hasty grab, she would pull her protégé back over to her side, before looking around for a clear escape route.

”Nobody orders me around, especially not a stranger who just happens to keep tabs on Kumogakure gossip! I suggest you sell your conspiracy stories to someone else, sir who plays at hellspawn…” It was true that the whole city seemed to be humming with chaos and ominous events, masterminded by the host of these exams, but this was foreign soil and not within her jurisdiction… or her student’s. Bowing her head to the young man who had kept them company, she quickly left him with ”May Raiden’s blessings keep you and yours safe.” before pulling at Amaya to follow along outside of the area.

”I won’t stop you if you want to go after that boy, you aren’t technically under my charge yet, but I’ll remind you we’re guests in a foreign country that appears to be on the cusp of exploding. Probably best not to get involved with the gunpower… or the foreign parties that conspire to use it. Do you understand?”

As Akkuma placed a hand on her shoulder, she shuddered slightly, wondering if the demon had other things in mind, as well as why she was being promised protection from a demon, as well as someone she had just met. She didn't understand anything of politics or the like from Kumo, let alone outside of the village. She didn't really care one way or the other. Not long after, Rega tugged her back to her side. ”I won’t stop you if you want to go after that boy, you aren’t technically under my charge yet, but I’ll remind you we’re guests in a foreign country that appears to be on the cusp of exploding. Probably best not to get involved with the gunpower… or the foreign parties that conspire to use it. Do you understand?” Amaya took a second and looked at Rega. "Understood. I won't pursue something like that with your advice. I'll admit that I'm curious as to what that note meant, but I won't question your judgement Rega. I trust you with my life, thus I openly accept your advice when you give it."

Amaya followed Rega's lead. She turned back to Akkuma and the other person apparently known as Kagari, answering his question. "It was something about a will of fire, and someone is after him. Not really completely sure, but it caught my interest. I'd heard only Leaf commented a lot on their will of fire, but they're in a bad situation right now. However, I digress. I apologize if this seems rude, but I'll be taking my leave with Rega. She bowed to the demon and Kagari before turning to follow Rega out. "I know I'm not yet under your charge, Rega, but please teach me what you know about this.

Kagari looked puzzled, the answer he was given wasn't very specific. He was curious why someone would go out of their way to approach the group, and to leave so suddenly without saying more than a few words. What was more interesting was who the person approached, a couple of shinobi from Kumo along with an eccentric demon. There were plenty of other ninjas in the area, but he specifically chose this group. Kagari was about to ask more questions but noticed that both the girl and her "friend" Rega were already leaving. The girl politely bowed, and Kagari nodded his head in respect as well. "It was nice meeting you; I wish you luck in your upcoming battles." The two faded into the crowd.

Turning to Akkuma, he crossed his arms and began to talk. "So. What now?" Kagari asked. Should he follow the random stranger that approached them? He had heard in the past of the friendship between both Suna and the once great Leaf Village. Many of the clans that originated from the leaf have moved to Suna recently. His interest was piqued, and if Kagari would admit it, he felt left out not being a part of any of the exams. Maybe this would be something to keep his a entertained during the duration of the inter-village exams. "The two Kumo girls, well at least the short purple haired one seemed to interested in whatever involves the leaf. Although her friend wants to keep her nose out of trouble." Kagari yawned, it was midday and he had done a lot of sightseeing. Despite Soon's Haven was about as hospitable as a war zone. "Although the look on your face tells me that you have something wonderful in store for me."

Akkuma smiled at Rega's words he couldn't blame her for thinking he was merely confusion his heritage for who he was. "No. I came from Kumogakure, at least in this life. Though it is an unique feeling to be reincarnated into only a half demon body, quite unusual compared to my past lives. I have memories spanning back eons I wouldn't expect a human to understand such things. What of my Dark Sage skills? Isn't it true that Kinjutsu's are legal in your village? I remember some Kushin fellow enlightening me to that fact, why do you feel shame being a Sage? That you must hide it from the world?" he would ask her curiously, if so what had she done to attain the power that haunted her he would wonder.

Her next sentence made the demon flash a blood chilling grin as he leaned closer "How dare you?! I risked my life and my clan to gain proof of their existence for your Raikage. Both Hayate Shin and now for Akira Saito, yet you have the audacity to make such accusations about me? Gossip? Conspiracy Theories? Go then and get yourself killed! I'll be sure to inform your Raikage how I did my best to warn you, but apparently whatever prejudices you garner towards demons makes you too blind to see when someone is trying to help you!" he would roar at her before turning his gaze to the little Kunoichi who said she had to leave as well. "Understood. I shall honor my previous offer of protection." he said to her with a small bow of his head. Cursing the older kunoichi's attitude under his breath he wondered if he would be able to pull of winning this war and saving those he could. Hearing the words of his disciple he looked down "Yes the little kunoichi might just be curious enough to survive this war, the other one though...I fear she may be beyond my help." he would say with a sigh rubbing his temple with his right hand. 'Why do I have to try and help people? All it ever does is ending making my blood boil.' he thought to himself well they couldn't say that he didn't try to warn them. There was something he would need his apprentice to do, the question was would he be up for it? Now knowing that they were so close to war, though he didn't think Kagari would distrust him. Why would he?

Nonetheless he would keep on eye on the purple haired kunoichi during there exam, he had given his word after all. Besides it was her fault that her mentor was either too prejudiced or to blind to see that what he was saying had truth to it. The signs were everywhere here all one needed to do was look, looking down at Kagari he smiled at the young shinobi's words. "You know me too well Kagari...if its not bother would you mind tracking down the Raikage? I know he was here just before, he needs to be warned and if his own shinobi won't do it someone has to. The Raikage's name is Akira Saito, if you cannot find him inform any Kumogakurian shinobi you come across that he is in danger. The Wind Daimyo will make his move I know it, I just don't know when. Inform him or them you were sent by Miroku Akkuma, Demon of the Wastes. I've already spoken to him if he doesn't recollect me, say the shinobi who upgraded Ri for him. He'll know who I am then.." though he hoped it wouldn't come to that. Looking down at Kagari he would bow "I know its been so long since I've seen you...but if we can get some kind of warning to him this may not be lost. Be careful out there Kagari for there are most assuredly eyes upon us now." with that he would bow to his apprentice before heading off, he needed to calm himself before the Exam or might do something rash.

OOC: It was fun rping! Looking forward to it next time, when Akkuma doesn't sound so crazy/not under the stress of trying to wage a civil war & protective foreign shinobi's.
Also Takayama said he'll post here giving OOC permission for Akkuma to lock onto his chakra.

"Yes the little kunoichi might just be curious enough to survive this war, the other one though...I fear she may be beyond my help." Akkuma looked rattled from his "pleasant" exchange with Rega. HIs expression was filled with a mixture of annoyance, anger, and disappointment; considering that the way the conversation ended in a very awkward manner. Still, Kagari was surprised this set him off; it seemed like nothing bothered him. Maybe it was just stubbornness and ignorance that annoyed Akkuma the most, and it sounded like he had put in a lot of effort to help some people in Kumo. Kagari shrugged, "She's probably just very protective of her home. Considering how much of a mother hen she was that other girl, you can bet she doesn't trust strangers; especially here of all places." He understood Rega's skepticism of his sensei. 'Who was this random demon coming out of nowhere who possibly approached my subordinate and started talking to me about my comrades?' </I><i></i> A shinobi is ever vigilant against threats to the village, especially to their friends. In any case, it was just a demon and his teen apprentice standing there as the crowds of people began to disperse. Shinobi, officials, tourists and others were starting to leave the area and head either to their exams or back home. After a few seconds a silence, Akkuma begun to smile devilishly. This was a look Kagari was all too familiar with. Kyuji had the same look on his face when he was up to no good.

"You know me too well Kagari...if its not bother would you mind tracking down the Raikage? I know he was here just before, he needs to be warned and if his shinobi won't do it someone has to. The Raikage's name is Akira Saito if you cannot find him inform any Kumogakurian shinobi you come across that he is in danger. The Wind Daimyo will make his move I know it; I just don't know when. Inform him or them you were sent by Miroku Akkuma, Demon of the Wastes. I've already spoken to him if he doesn't recollect me, say the shinobi who upgraded Ri for him. He'll know who I am then.."<I> 'And I thought I would be able to relax a bit today, guess not.'Kagari nodded, "I'll see what I can do. But getting some one on one time with the leader of an entire village might be a bit tricky." He wasn't sure where to start looking if he did, maybe the embassy? The Hotel? Or one of the Bars? The rest of the day Kagari was probably going to be searching up and down Soon's Haven. He was determined to do so, though, Akkuma's tone changed to a much more serious one, indicating that this was important and time was of the essence. "I know it's been so long since I've seen you...but if we can get some warning to him this may not be lost. Be careful out there Kagari for there are most assuredly eyes upon us now." "We'll catch up another time sensei...I'll do my best to find a kage amidst this ninja haystack. " Akkuma bowed and began walking in the opposite direction, probably to calm down after the heated exchange. Kagari sighed, he wasn't sure what he stepped into but seeing as how Akkuma needed him; it means something bad was coming. This talk of subterfuge and daimyo's making plays for power made him wish that he wasn't in ANBU sometimes, but it came with the rank; even though this was more like a favor than an official mission.

Kagari began to walk to one of the areas that were designated to the Kumo shinobi. Any hotel, restaurant or even a center of some sort would help give Kagari some info on how to find this Raikage and pass on his master's words to him. Between the random stranger passing kunai's too random heroes or a demon asking you to find one of the most important people in the world, Soon's Haven was a time bomb just waiting to explode apparently.

"And here I was thinking that I was going to be able to do some scouting and observe the local scenery. But I guess I'm just preventing confrontations everywhere, aren't I?"
