Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Cursed Blades [Solo Mission]

Tama looked like the last person you’d expect to see at the tourney.

Most of the patrons inside of the Dojo walked about in either combative clothing, street clothes, or clearly marked shinobi gear. The blond scientist being of the odd sort apparently decided that non of that was required for the job he had been given. Standing now a few inches higher than he normally had the muscular man was wrapped up with a thick brown hooded robe, to which he kept up, and nothing adorned his feet. He looked more like a monk that had wondered away from his monastery on accident than anything else. He shuffled about in the robes with his back straight and a proud glow illuminating from his posture but didn't appear to be really doing anything more than just...walking around. A few time he had accidentally been confused for one of the combatants and had to politely refuse the request to fight though he was itching to get some field tests on his newest abilities. He supposed that in refusing to give in to his own selfish desires he was attaining a sort of balance within himself; which in turn increased this new strength.
Keeping a calm composure wasn't always easy unfortunately. More than a couple of times the chunnin wanted to either break a man’s face for being too stoned on blood and wanted to fight, or rip up the entire dojo to start a more ‘extensive’ search for the blades. Tama kept clam only because he needed to practice on such things. He didn't have the insane god-like powers that he had cultivated over the past few years anymore. His genius had only stretched so far and continuing control over multiple chakra coils was killing his mortal shell. Not to mention ever since his cursed seal was triggered open the past couple of times any amount of dark emotion began to toy with it, threatening to unleash the dark beast inside of him. To combat both of these new worries the scientist had to maintain the balance of power he had accidentally found...not to mention the new source of half of that power.

Back and forth Tama walked on the ground floor, his bare feet smacking against the flat surface as he paced in a near impatience. His bi-colored eyes continued to move back and forth looking at the patrons of the tourney grounds, always wavering for a second on the ushers who were starting to get nervous by his presence. He was almost certain that only a handful of people knew he was even here. Ryuu Tama wasn't a man who was bothered to do missions usually unless he applied for the job. In this case it was the Steward insisting that he needed to get out and actually work more. The last mission they had undertaken coldly reminded him what all that relaxing off his studies and training had gotten him. Even if the genjutsu had been cast by that of a master the old dojutsu he had developed should have been able to see through it; yet it did not. Begrudgingly the scientist took up the mission but only because he realized how much he needed to continue to hone his skills.

About the nine-hundredth time his left foot came down, the scientist's face suddenly screwed up and his entire body went stiff. His eyes looked down where his foot had stopped suddenly and a smirk played on the corner of his lips. Of course they would try to smuggle cursed weapons in via an underground tunnel. It was so cliche, the scientist thought, that it should of been the first thing he checked for. Yet it was better to be safe than sorry. Despite the change in his powers he still held on to remnants of the techniques he had and even stronger control over others. One of the stronger powers he had begun to master was his control over Nature Chakra. The entire hour or so he had been pacing his feet had been making ripples in the Flows of Nature with his chakra. These ripples were used to bounce off every last floor of the building until they struck something that was perverse against nature - i.e. Cursed weapons. Having found where the weapons were and that the men who were smuggling them in were attached to this shipment filled the scientist with an emotion that was synonymous with glee.

Tama placed the surface of his thumb to one of his canines and pushed up until he broke the skin. Once the blood pooled up a little he took it, closed his left eye, and ran the thumb down over the seal written on the back of his eyelid. When opened again the blue eye would reveal the Uchiha’s beloved dojutsu gained from his last mission with Sousuke and Okibi.
Most of the clan would most likely try to kill him if they knew of what he had and so instead of being suspicious and hiding the eye with a patch or something cheesy, Tama went the route of simply sealing the power itself until he needed it. Unfortunately the power that was required to seal the freaking Sharingan did quite a number on his now singular chakra coil, not to mention the power needed to use it properly. Upon gaining the eye the blond also gained a new found respect for the Uchiha’s chakra capabilities. He had no doubt that having the blood also helped control the power needed but regardless it was quite draining and hard to turn off. Not to mention that when it was turned off he also became completely blind in that eye, and when activated he would have to put on a pair of specialized glasses just to be able to balance his vision out. The glasses themselves used a special type of lense that when peered out through by normal eyes all they would see is a weird twisted view of the world, but those who had a Sharingan in one eye would easily see the genius behind them; oh and the frames were made of adamantium or something cool like that.
He placed these said glasses on right before forming his hands into a seal that activated the, now tattooed, runes on his feet to start drawing in massive quantities of nature chakra into his body. An amount so large that he would have normally been terrified had he not a special blue eye in his left socket. Using that eye to see nature chakra simply by switching the type of chakra to look for, Tama was able to read the Flows of Nature to a point that he could now ride them. He did this now by fusing his own chakra with the massive amount of nature chakra inside of him and literally turning into a tree right there in the middle of the dojo. Said tree then glowed a bright white color and melted into the floor without a single trace of its existence.

Numerous floors below, in a freshly dug out tunnel, a single unnoticeable sprout would appear in the fresh floor right behind three bandits pushing a cart with a crate in it. Tama was unsure if they had figured out how to get in here by dumb luck or if someone inside was stupid enough to hire Wind Country bandits. Either way the look on their collective faces when that tiny sprout loudly turned into giant tree that blocked their path was priceless; even more so when Tama pulled himself out of the tree like some sort of terrifying earthen spirit, fully clothed, and glowering from beneath a wide-brimmed hat that seemed to appear when his robes disappeared. He was dressed now in old Desert Rider clothing that had the large cloak attached to his shoulders. His feet were booted from the knee down and the material for all of his clothing seemed to be rough leather. The scientist walked past the stunned bandits to one of the crates, smacked the top of the wooden crate off with the edge of his hand and continued to glower at the seemingly normal blades. A beaming smile would suddenly overtake his face as he turned to the now terrified bandits and said,
Good work that is! A little late though, what kept you blokes?
W-we ran afoul some rough dirt. The map your boss gave us was off by ten feet about half way in. Bunzi figured it out though,
What!? That’s unacceptable! Let me see that map!”

The bandit who spoke reached into his dirty cloth vest and handed Tama an equally dirtied sheet of paper that he snatched out of the man’s grabbers to flip it open like he had been seriously offended by their excuse. In reality the scientist was looking at the “map” which was actually old blueprints, that only Kuro should have, to see if he could figure out who had gave it to them. It seemed like this was only the very edge of the rabbit hole and digging deeper would be necessary to keep incidents like this from happening again. Without even looking up from the blueprints Tama lifted a hand away and pointed two fingers at the tree trunk behind the bandits and wiggled his fingers twice. Two pointed logs stretched out from the tree and impaled two out of three bandits, leaving the leader to be wrapped in branches from the two bloodied logs as they stopped on either side of him. The look on the man’s face told the scientist that he wanted to scream in terror but knew he was too far in for that to matter anymore; had to admit he liked the balls on this one.
He folded up the blueprints and stuck them into a pocket inside of his coat before walking slowly up to the trapped bandit, his hands weaving seals to start sending extra chakra into his left eye to activate the second form of the Uchiha dojutsu. Normally one would marvel at the speed he adapted to the eye and how easily he used the techniques, but of those who knew Ryuu Tama, it didn't seem at all unusual. After all he had figured out most of what such an eye was capable of at a very young age.
No more bloodshed was needed on his part, he decided as he gripped the bandit’s filthy hair and forced him to stare into the blue eye baring now a bio-hazard shaped Mangekyou. He spoke softly so that the man would have to force himself to listen harder, only making the hypnotic suggestion fueled on by genjutsu of “Go to sleep”, that much stronger. Tama didn't have the full power of a sharingan to which could have simply made the man spill everything he knew right there, but he was smart enough to know how to force people to do simple things like sleep.
The scientist’s hands came together again and forced the branches to cover the bandit in a wooden ball that he guided back up to the ANBU offices. With the cursed weapons he resealed the container, wrote a strong sealing jutsu using his own blood on top of it, and wrapped it to with a strong layer of tree matter. This one he simply buried even deeper below the Dojo in hopes that no idiot would need to dig that deep down; and that no one would ask him to go fetch said weapons either.
