Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Nature Type:
  • Primary: Fūton (Wind)
  • Secondary: Doton (Earth)
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Daijamitsu is shorter in height for his age, around five-foot, with a very slim build, and almost gaunt features. He has long black hair, narrow eyes with yellow irises and snake-like narrow pupils. His skin is unusually pale, with an odd coarseness to the touch, though he doesn't display any discomfort or sickness. Typically his features are either passive or expressing a wide-smiled smirk, though most disturbing is when Daijamitsu enters a rage and his face seems to distort beyond something 'human'. Few have seen his total loss of control, but there's no denying the unnatural features the boy has when he does so.

For clothing, Daijamitsu wears the standard shinobi attire. Light weight robes, with numerous pockets and pouches around his person, as well as reinforcement wrappings on his wrists and ankles. His outer robe flares at the hands, and extend too long, showing little more than fingertips when Daijamitsu's arms are extended. His pants are long, reaching to mid-shin, and he wears typical toe-less shinobi boots. All his clothing are hues of tans and grays, allowing for effective blending into his natural environment.

When moving, Daijamitsu displays a natural smooth motion, almost as if he's gliding.
MENTAL DESCRIPTION
Daijamitsu is somewhat reserved, perhaps even quiet, though engages in conversation willingly when prompted or around those he knows well. He is emotionally closed off, not displaying much even to friends, likely due to his childhood trauma. He doesn't like to talk about his feelings, he hates discussing love interests, and prefers to act mature for his age. This is due to actually being more mature, but also to project a positive self-confidence and increase attention from his seniors.

But, like a child, he can be prone to bluntness and asking awkward questions.

Not prone to causing friction or disagreements, Daijamitsu is usually happy to go along with the flow. Yet, if a peer were to engage in activity that could harm his prospects as a shinobi, such as a childish prank, he would voice his concerns. And while Daijamitsu certainly isn't a 'follower', he has no real drive to lead, either. Rather the boy does as he will and gains or loses interest in things as he does. He doesn't feel loyalty or connection to others, but instead operates under a sense of obligation and responsibility to his peers, seniors and village.

Daijamitsu is not one to act selflessly for others.

Beyond the social mask, Daijamitsu is a deeply troubled youth. He has dark thoughts, is focused on questionable goals, and seeks to understand things children shouldn't. His fascination with death, and studying it, come from his inability to cope with the death of his parents who were murdered in front of him. There may also be another layer to the darkness inside Daijamitsu, something beyond his childish understanding and comprehension, which waits patiently and continues to influence the boy...
HISTORY
Born to Sunagakure, to a pair of relatively skilled shinobi parents, Daijamitsu started out with a somewhat normal childhood. He was raised, loved, cared for and guided toward the shinobi path by his father and mother. They felt confident in their son's future and took care of the financial responsibilities with the Ninja Academy. Walking, talking, eating, reading, writing, exploration and imagination, all the typical lessons a child learned were taught. Things were pleasant, despite the harsh living standards, with the raging storm and nearby dissidents to the village. Still, for a child, all that seemed a thousand miles away.

Some years later, while enjoying a family stroll one evening, Daijamitsu's parents spending time with him on a rare day-off, the trio came across a group of bandits working for Soons Haven. They were attempting to infiltrate a small community to steal belongings and kidnap some victims to sell to the less reputable markets. Bound by responsibility, the pair of shinobi rushed to stop the group, but when Daijamitsu was grabbed by one of the criminals and held hostage, the situation turned dire. Caught between being parents, and their shinobi duty, the pause in combat was enough that the outnumbered parents were set upon and killed when the bandits pressed the advantage. Daijamitsu was only saved with the arrival of more shinobi who had heard the combat and had come to investigate. The boy was forever changed, suffering many years of nightmares and falling into a dark pit of sorrow and loss.

Sent to the local orphanage, Daijamitsu was treated well enough by the carers and other kids. He didn't really want to connect or engage, fearing losing others, and memories of the death of his parents remained fresh to his young mind. Some days were good days, others not so much. The odd fight with other kids happened, but for all intents and purposes Daijamitsu seemed adjusted. Little did they know and it was also during this time that unusual changes happened to Daijamitsu's appearance, largely hidden behind growing older. On some nights, Daijamitsu would sneak out into the village, little more than a small shadow of little significance and he would seek out dead things, to look and touch and smell. Rats, cats and other things that had expired drew the boy in, his curiosity leading him down a dark path in those early childhood years...

Yet, Daijamitsu remained in his communal home, until it was time to attend the Ninja Academy, and he was given a new avenue to explore and forget his worries. As a result, the boy launched into his lessons and studies, channelling all of his pain and hurt into becoming something more and stronger. Still with a reluctance to get close to others, Daijamitsu proved a highly capable and driven student. The boy wanted to learn everything, to examine and question, to feel something for the sake of it. Becoming a shinobi had opened new ways for the youth to express himself, to show his worth, and to share something with his lost family.

Putting all his effort into his shinobi lessons, they were completed to high standards. Daijamitsu showed a natural gift for Ninjutsu. It was a blur of excitement and teaching and students and rivals. And at the age of nine, mere years after entering the Ninja Academy, Daijamitsu graduated. Incredibly fast by most standards, few could deny that Daijamitsu was driven to become a shinobi and had taken the time to put in the effort. Being made a Genin, the boy began his first steps as a low ranked shinobi for his village, taking on simple but important missions that further expanded his experiences and skills, continuing Daijamitsu's path onward to become more...

Ophidian Ancestry (
Demonic Ancestry)
Daijamitsu had lost count of the number of times he had sneaked into the night, escaping the orphanage to explore Sunagakure. He kept low, remained small and unimportant, and took many of the smaller passages and tunnels few adults could use. He was searching again, seeking the lure of death, so he could stare it in the face and become unafraid. So far Daijamitsu didn't harm the creatures he looked for, instead finding the things that had died before, since he didn't feel the urge to be cruel. He was simply curious.

Beneath the village, in the dimness of catacombs, Daijamitsu found what he sought. A large dead rat, recently killed, but from what Daijamitsu didn't know. Though no sooner had he wondered, than a large snake slithered out from a crack in the sandstone wall, moving silently as it made its way toward the potential food source. If the boy were to guess, he figured the serpent had bitten the rat and was now in the process of claiming it.

Then the snake noticed the small human.

As the reptile moved forward to protect the meal, hissing and rearing back with fangs at the boy, there was a moment. Eyes locked. Reptile and human considered one another, an underlying sensation of familiarity passed, and suddenly Daijamitsu had reached out a hand to touch the snake... and there was another threatening hiss, followed by a rapid strike from the animal; but mere inches from the boy's outstretched hand, fangs almost touching skin, the snake paused.

"Hello," Daijamitsu said simply, as the snake coiled around the skinny, pale arm and moved upward. "You feel it, too?"

The snake continued to slither upward, graceful, until its flat head was before Daijamitsu's face. Yellow eyes with slitted pupils stared, unwavering, as it almost seemed to consider the child. Then it flicked its tongue, tasting the air and sensing no fear, before the snake pulled back. Daijamitsu watched the mouth expand, the fangs protrude, and then he felt the stab of pain as the snake bit him on the skin behind his neck. It had been in an instant, a flash of red-brown scales, then venom coursed through the child's system. For a moment Daijamitsu didn't know what was happening, as the snake fell to the ground and coiled up, watching from a short distance. Pain, surprise, more pain and sudden dizziness and nausea became the boy's world, and he sluggishly pushed to his feet to escape.

The snake watched, intelligent eyes unwavering, the dead rat forgotten for now. It watched the human leave.

Through the pain and muscle aches, Daijamitsu made it back to his bed. He curled up under the blanket, sure he was going to die. The snake had been brown, very poisonous, and Daijamitsu fought with the idea of being dead like the rat. He soon passed out. Though the next day brought surprise, when Daijamitsu woke and felt... fine. In fact, he felt better than fine, different somehow, like there had been a change inside from the whole encounter the night before. Daijamitsu couldn't explain it, but there was some kind of deep shift in his body, some alteration, some connection made between his inner self and the snake... but for now, it was more important to prepare for the lessons at the Academy.

Unknown to Daijamitsu, the poison that should have ravaged his body had instead begun a change, his physical self now destined to grow and develop into something else: Something long forgotten for generations in the boy's bloodline, an ancestral affinity for snakes...

Taking this to our Council area for discussion as we need at least 2 councilors to approve a Bloodline/Core Ability App! So please hang tight and welcome to Ninpocho (and unofficially to Sand)!
