Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Birds were singing. Flowers were blooming. It was another peaceful day in Konohagakure. The civilians were out and about making ends meet by selling goods, or socializing among themselves with regard to the recent still somewhat recent liberation of the village. It was a pleasant time for most, although for one particular shinobi it was another end to an onslaught of night-terrors.

"How could you do this to us, Yoruko?! We raised you!"

"Disrespectful whelp! We'll teach you to disrespect your parents!"

Ayume and Guro's voices echoed in one shinobi's dreams as he felt them reach out toward him in a shamble. The smell of Ayume's rotted flesh, Guro's mangled body writhing in pain. The sight of it was almost enough to make him smile were it not for the unwanted feeling of undiluted fear that ran through him in spite of his victory over them. In his dream, he turned around and saw none other than Souji, with that bastardized sword moving to plunge into his chest.

Violet Sharingan rotated dangerously as they snapped open, glancing around the vicinity for traps or intruders. Breathing heavily he didn't move, waiting for something to seem out of sorts or wrong. After a few moments of nothing, he seemed to be able to regain control of his breathing. He felt something in his hand, a paper? Oh, right... He'd been trying to find more information on where Sadako had vanished off to. It was one of the hardest things he'd had to cope with upon returning to Iwagakure. Yoruko hadn't seen hide or hair of Sadako since he had returned and it chewed at him.

"Twelve years... I still can't believe it..." He muttered to himself, glancing at himself in the mirror he didn't believe that he could still only be seventeen years old, physically. He was still so young.. It was a blessing and a curse. The world had left him behind as it continued to advance, not that he should've been surprised, nor did he expect any different. But the reality of it was still settling in. He needed to find Souji as well, to settle the score. The time would come for that eventually, however for now he had to hone his skills so that when the time came, he could reclaim his freedom.

Shutting the door to his apartment, Yoruko stepped up to the Hokage tower to get a mission, and received one quickly. Evidently, two rogue ninja were discovered in Crater City after getting involved with a drunken brawl. After killing their drunken opponents they managed to kill seven of the ten guards on duty that day. They were last heard heading north towards the Valley of the End. Well, a dead or alive mission suited him just fine. The last time he'd tried signing up for a mission he'd been declined but it wouldn't be the case this time. He knew he would have to rush to get there quickly.

After filling out the paperwork necessary he left out from the gates and made his way straight for the Valley of the End. They had a full day's head start on him, but he could cut that distance down in no time thanks to the ability of his Sharingan. Forcing them into their Mangekyô state, he twisted out of existence and appeared near the valley. He scanned the area for them, looking for a chakra signature. He saw a few, though they could just be animals. Narrowing his eyes he focused his senses, hearing, smell. Something smelled odd.

'Fire.'

Wood burning nearby. These two nuke-nins thought that they had avoided detection and were safe to start a fire. It wasn't too late, early evening at the latest. A couple of flunkies coming down from their adrenal high. Yoruko smiled at his good fortune. Slipping among the shadows he conjured a clone and sent it off toward the two as he slapped an explosive seal on it, fully charged and timed.

A couple of voices sounded out shortly after the clone was sent out. Yoruko climbed into a perch on the tree and looked upon the two as they warned the clone to back off, or they'd have to kill him. One of them caught on and realized it was a clone, in time to fire a water-jutsu at it, dispelling the clone as well as the explosive tag. Yoruko clicked his tongue in disappointment, to his dismay one of the two pointed at him.

"There's the real one! Let's kill him!" One of the two shouted, and dashed toward Yoruko with a kunai in hand. However he made a critical error in making eye contact with the red-headed Uchiha. Violet-hued eyes locked him into a state of paralysis as Yoruko flashed through hand-signs and slammed his palm to the ground, locking him into a sphere of shadows. The other nuke-nin would be more difficult, clearly he was the smarter of the two.

"You idiot, how'd you get caught?!" Two shouted, before dashing into the trees. Yoruko bit his thumb before flipping through a couple hand signs and slapping his hand to the ground.

"Kuchiyose No Jutsu!" He shouted, calling upon one of the Youkai clan. Shadows swirled out from under Yoruko's palm as a three-tailed fox appeared before him. A small grin formed on his face as he gestured toward the shadow dome. "Kori, keep an eye on this idiot for me." He commanded, taking a moment to sense for the other Nin's chakra before darting off in another direction.

"Very well... Though I'd rather you didn't subjugate me to baby-sitting of all things... Kori spoke with a soft tone, an elegant ring to it as she proceeded to keep a close eye on the sphere, for when and if it broke. Yoruko continued to give chase through the trees, stopping only when a kunai came within inches of his face. Catching it in mid-air he twisted around, flicking it back in the direction it came from. Another kunai came from a separate direction, this time with the sound of hissing.

'An explosive tag...? Hmph, how droll.' Yoruko thought to himself, performing the body-switch technique this time, the kunai soundly stabbing into a log before exploding. Wooden shrapnel flew everywhere but Yoruko was unfazed by the explosion. He'd found his target. A dark blue-haired man with a Leaf headband, slashed through the symbol. Yoruko frowned slightly, making handseals as the man hadn't yet found him. Standing to his full height of nearly six feet, he proceeded to walk behind him without a care. The man seemed to catch on to the fact that there was something wrong.

Unfortunately for him, it was too late. Yoruko snapped his hand across the man's neck, knocking him out instantly. Moving back over to where he had left Kori, he saw a humanoid woman leaning up and trying to seduce the man who he had paralyzed earlier, who was totally into it. Yoruko dropped the man who he had knocked unconscious and cleared his throat. "Alright Kori, that's enough. Thank you for your assistance." Yoruko spoke, throwing a kunai and hitting the man soundly in the throat. Even with Yoruko's terrible aim with kunai it was too hard to miss at this range.

Kori pouted before sticking her tongue out at Yoruko. "Bah, you never let me have any funnnn~!" She pouted before disappearing in shadows, just as she had appeared. This made his job a little easier. He didn't need both of them alive. One alive and one dead would make it easier for him to transport them back. One in a sealing scroll, and the other in person. He made sure to tie up the first man, to make sure that he couldn't escape. Sealing the other man's corpse away, he kicked the other man to wake him up.

"Sleeping time is over. Get up." Yoruko ordered, his Sharingan in it's three-tomoe state. The man refused at first, but like the first man had made eye-contact. Using the overwhelming power of suggestion, Yoruko forced the man to stand.

A few moments later, thanks to the power of the Mangekyô Sharingan they were in the Hokage tower. "One corpse, and one rogue nin. I'll take my pay and leave, thanks." He stated, leaving the man and the seal behind. His payment for the mission would be placed in his bank account soon. He finished early enough he could probably even get some extra training in. Glancing at the sky, he determined it was late evening. "... Maybe I'll call it an early night." He muttered to himself, walking back to his apartment.
