Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A former medical chief, now mercenary to her home village of Iwagakure, Koa had returned with intentions to amend the wrong doings. She rested in her bed with the ominous loom of the blackened night just beyond the thin window pane of glass and transparency, it beckoned her. A voice whispered in her ear, it spoke nothing but silence, tickling her fear as the old, shrivelled body curled into itself. The sensation was foreign but somehow it felt somewhat reminiscent of a time long ago, a moment in her life that she had no control over... Life or death, whatever way the scales tipped. A moment that her tired mind had forgotten about, the moment when she encountered the creature bound by shadows and death; the creature that bound Koa to its contract upon her death it would own her spirit and body.

The sensation of death - that's what was familiar to her, the fear of her very life force being stripped away from her body, the sensation that encumbered her all those years ago. Koa's body was nothing more than a sack of wrinkles and grey hair, everything she once prized about herself was no more, and even her mind was beyond saving - an advanced form of dementia had already settled in. Whether it was down to the advance on her age, who knows, but her body had been cursed with a condition that destroyed those she once cared for; her patients. The advancement of this disease was damaging, awful and brutal on her mind - ever since Koa came to the village the effects steadily creped into her mind and settled.

The withered body tossed and turned as she called out for her parents, who had died many years ago after a long and fruitful life of being ordinary citizens. Her milky eyes awoke from a pathetic excuse of a sleep, she began to weep immediately as she felt the sensation of death fall over her body. She wasn't ready, far from it, this world was still too large and too beautiful for her to leave it. Koa would push her body up, bones cracking, the cover falling from her frame as tired eyes wept profusely. The former chief moaned as those eyes locked through the pane, praying without a stance, to the glimmering stars that sat so perfectly on the blackness. "Haru?" She would say, questioning her own thought. "H-haru..." The old woman would crawl to the edge of her bed, immediately falling to the floorboards, where the cold wood pressed against her leather. But it was too late, too late to call for her sister... Koa's eyes would close over and the life that once was would cease to be.

... Darkness existed in her moment of utter solitude. She was but a single speck against a hue-less sea. An item of the darkness' momentary interest. Koa, still in her old form, curled into her self as she felt her body drift away into an eternity of darkness. Why did things end up like this? Why did she get here, how did this even happen to her? Koa would mull over these thoughts as her mind felt clarity like never before. But the darkness soon faded, after what felt like months, the colours seeped into existence and gave birth to a glorious and wholesome sight:

A construct of pure energy, a being that illuminated the darkness, a being of energy that drew Koa towards it. The tired old woman's body floated through the vacuum of a thousand stars, riding the great flow of the universe, following stars as they rushed towards this tree. As she made her way towards the tree, there was this undeniable presence of something greater than her, something that just emanated a wholesome, happy and beautiful emotion. It spoke to her in a tongue that she hadn't ever heard of but she could understand it so fluently. "Thank you..." She would say politely as it finished its words. Koa's old, withered body began to move away from the tree, it flew backwards away from the great flow of stars that all gathered inside of the being's veins. She closed her eyes and smiled, allowing herself to be plunged back into darkness.

Koa's eyes would spread apart and her black hues would set their sights onto the ceiling of her room. Those beautiful hues were flooded with salt tears, streams connecting and forming a tsunami of emotion. Her body, her health and mind had been rejuvenated with such a pure form of natural energy - Senjutsu - that the youth she once gave away had returned to her. She lay there naked, kissing the floorboard, weeping that she was saved. The creature that saved her, that redeemed her, was something so timeless that it couldn't be comprehended but instead labelled with a very human name: God.

She wasn't special, far from it, but she was sent back from death for a reason...

A Light Sage was truly born on this night.
